Mistakes Not Forgiven

Chapter 1

Thirty-one year-old Stephanie Morris is on her way back to her hotel after her shift at a strip club called The Playpen ended. Stephanie has no idea that she is being followed.

The unknown figure following Stephanie was fuming with rage, images of his foster sister Mimi Yamamoto flashed through his mind, further fueling his rage.

When Stephanie reached her front door, she unlocks it. It was at this moment the masked man made his move, shoving her hard from behind.

Stephanie hits the mirror on the end table in the foyer, shattering it. Dizzy and disoriented, Stephanie slowly got back to her feet, but soon lost her balance and fell back to the floor.

"Stephanie, do you remember Mimi Yamamoto?" the masked man asked in a gravely voice.

Again, Stephanie stood up, though she was still dizzy and her vision was blurry, she squinted and touched her forehead and realized that she was bleeding.

"Who?" Stephanie croaked.

The man's rage fully erupted as he drew a combat knife.

"You knew Mimi! You and your friends tormented her everyday until... She killed herself." he growled.

"I-I didn't know her." Stephanie huffed.

"Maybe not, but that didn't stop you from bullying her!" the man yells. He then begins stabbing Stephanie violently and mercilessly.

After stabbing Stephanie forty-seven times he brutally sodomized her with his knife, which caused her death.

The masked man looked down at his handiwork and smiled satisfyingly.

Then, he leaves Stephanie's home as silent as a tomb.

FBI Headquarters, Quantico, Virginia

FBI Profiler Aaron Hotchner is coming out of the Director's office, JJ, Rossi, Reid, and Morgan meet him at the entrance to the conference room. They all walk into the room where their Technical Analyst, Penelope Garcia and Agent Emily Prentiss were waiting for them, Garcia has a pained expression on her face.

"Morning my superfriends, I wish it could be a good one." the redheaded computer whiz says flatly.

"What's going on, Garcia?" Rossi inquires, but Hotch answers before she can.

"A thirty-one year-old stripper named Stephanie Morris was raped and murdered in Manhattan last night."

"And in a rather sickening act to further degrade the victim, the UnSub sodomized the victim with a knife." Penelope informs them.

Both JJ and Emily cringe at that comment.

"New York's Special Victims Unit has formally asked for our help with this case. Wheels up in twenty, oh, and Garcia?"

"Yes sir?"

"You're coming with us." Hotch says.
