*Just as a reminder for everyone who is going to continue to read this story, I am finishing my final term of college which will take up a lot of my time. Because of this, updates for the next 3-4 months will be slow. I'm sorry, but I will continue to update when I can.
Chapter 4
Getting together, Anna & Kristoff tried to piece together what happened and what to do next.
"Well, obviously the man had to come from somewhere and he might still be injured! We don't know what that fire did, even though it didn't harm him" Kristoff said nervously.
Anna, trying to think fast said "Okay, first we need to tell the townsfolk that there was a man aboard who seems to be injured. That should ease there concerns somewhat."
"Put his shirt back on and put a blanket around him. Try to make him as comfortable as possible, we don't know how he'll react to everything when he wakes up. I'm going over to the townsfolk to let them know everything that's going on, I'll be right back" Anna said, steeling herself.
Kristoff, nodding his head, turned back around to help the unconscious man, trusting Anna to do what she always does; take charge of the situation.
Anna, leaving the boat with the others, lead the way back to the town square where everyone was watching and waiting with anticipation. Finding a rock ledge to stand on, she jumped onto it and steadied herself, looking out into the crowd of people who had migrated towards the docks.
Seeing everyone, it had come to Anna's attention that practically everyone had come to the docks and town square to observe what happened. She even saw the staff members and guard amongst the people who had left their posts in order to see what the queen had to say.
Taking a deep breath, Anna started to explain as best she could about what happened, "Hello everyone, as everybody seems to be aware, we have had a…visit of sorts. It seems that early this morning a small boat built for one person was spotted out at sea, making its way towards Arendelle. While we were not aware of this initially, my observations throughout the day made me aware of something happening in town that seemed to be strange, even for us".
Continuing, she said "On this boat, we discovered a man of unknown origins who was found to be passed out, seemingly unharmed".
After listening to an uneasy silence follow that proclamation, Anna continued "While the man was passed out, he seems to have the blessing of several of the spirits from our realm. When the boat arrived, the water spirit appeared in her natural form, guiding the boat to a safe passage, as most of you all saw. To further this claim of welcoming, multiple fire spirits were awoken upon his arrival and protected him" Anna finished.
Coming to a decision, Anna finished with a final declaration "Due to this blessing that's been given to us and our people, we are deeming it safe for everyone to return home. The man who arrived here today will be brought to the castle and cared for by Arendelle's best, for him to arrive at a full recovery". Finishing somewhat placatingly, Anna said "After all, what would we do without the love we have for one another? Would you not do the same for any other stranger the walked into our town?"
Looking out amongst the people gathered, Anna only saw nods with thoughtful looks or smiles of happiness. Being reassured with the towns reaction to her speech Anna got off her pedestal, literally and figuratively and made her way over to Sven, Olaf and the sleigh. Hooking Sven up, Anna climbed on and made her way down the docks to the boat where Kristoff was waiting for her. Climbing down, Kristoff was able to lift the man, with some effort, and put him in the back of the sleigh. Making him comfortable and assuring he wouldn't slide anywhere; they took off up the docks towards the castle gates.
As they passed the people in the town square, many of them were looking up and over each other to get a better view of the man who had mysteriously sailed into their lives. Most would only say they saw jet black hair, and some would say they saw a small scar on his forehead, but the one thing at least everyone can agree they saw was the orange glow coming from his upper biceps and chest. Ushering Sven along quicker through the people, Anna called to one of her staff members to send for a doctor to check over the unconscious man.
Making their way inside the castle gates, Kristoff came to a halt near the doors and got out to carry the unconscious man inside. Calling to one of the guards who had stayed at the castle, she asked him to help Kristoff with the man.
Once they got everyone situated, they continued up the stairs and into one of the guest bedrooms. By now, most of the staff had made there way back to the castle to help Anna with what she needed. Seeing them enter one of the guest bedrooms, everyone got to work on making the room comfortable. On top of that, the staff went about getting supplies needed in case of emergency to house in the room. By now, Anna with Kristoff and the guard had laid the young man down and had him as comfortable as they could.
Stepping aside and letting the staff do their work, Anna, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf all made there way to a lounging area in the corner of the room, either sitting or laying down. They sat in silence for a while, taking in all that had happened.
Kristoff glanced at Anna often, wondering what she might be thinking about, but no matter how hard he tried, for once he couldn't get a read on what was going through her head. As Kristoff observed, she would rotate between staring off into the distance with a thoughtful look, before transitioning over to the recovering man on the bed with a slight frown and thoughtful look towards his chest tattoo. Finally having enough of the silence, Kristoff softly asked "What are you thinking?".
It took Anna a while to answer, and in that time the rest of the staff had left to attend to other things, leaving the four guests alone with the unconscious young man. By the time she did answer, Anna had gotten up from the couch and made her way over to the bed, everyone else following her. Looking down at him, Anna saw the tattoo on his chest sitting there prominently. Frowning at it in thought, she reached out to touch it, trying to figure out why it all seemed familiar to her.
As if in a trance, she thought back to the time when Anna had sacrificed herself for Elsa. She remembered being saved and brought back and the rejoice afterwards that everything was better now, and it was going to be ok. She remembered the joy on her sister's face when everyone was gliding around the ice rink that she had made, marveling in something that she had created and everyone else enjoyed.
Finally, with a jolt of realization, Anna remembered her sister had, in a fit of laughter, separated from Anna for a split second of concentration and released a spark of snow into the air, creating an ornate snowflake. Anna remembered never seeing something like it before, showcasing just how unique and special Elsa was. She remembered how much happiness had been brought out of her sister that day, and the ornate snowflake became a representation of that. Looking back, Anna had said to Elsa just how much it represented Elsa and her personality; resilient, beautiful and tough.
Looking down at the man's chest, Anna saw that same snowflake sitting there, interacting with the flame like an old friend, both touching one another in a loving embrace. Coming out of her trance, Anna looked at Kristoff wide-eyed.
Going into explanation mode, Anna started to pace around the room and explain her line of thinking and thoughts on her memories, "It just makes too much sense! The fire of this man, interacting with the snowflake that I had only seen when my sister was TRULY happy, just further confirms my theory" she finished proudly.
Kristoff, Sven and Olaf all looked at one another in confusion, wondering what in the world Anna was talking about. Looking at Anna with a flat look, he only said one word, "Explain".
Coming to a stop, Anna turned and looked at the unconscious man thoughtfully, almost in wonder, "I've known Elsa my entire life, I know her better than myself most times. We grew up in a different environment than most, but in these last few years I've grown to know how my sister thinks. There's one thing I'm certain of, this man is going to be important to my sister, more than anything else in the world if given the chance…"
Turning back around to look at all of them, Anna had the slyest smirk Kristoff had ever seen on her face. Frankly, it both scared him and made him think of how amazing she was.
"…and frankly, I can't wait to see what happens when she gets a good long look at him".
Mouths gaping, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf all laughed or snorted uproariously at Anna's attitude towards her sister's hopeful future beau.
Anna, still smirking slightly, thought about how in the world this would go…and how she was going to tell Elsa. Turning one final time to look at the man laying unconscious, she couldn't help but know, in her heart, that he belonged with Elsa. It was as if certain spirits were guiding her in her along the way, pointing out things to her, to help her along.
Turning to look at her Fiancé and friends, Anna never noticed the figure of water descend from the window that faced the ocean.
A knock on the door brought them back to reality, realizing the doctor had finally arrived and would be starting his examination.
** Fast forward…Two Hours Later **
Pacing nervously, Anna was anxiously awaiting the doctor and the people he had brought along. It had had been well over two hours after the doctor had been brought in to examine the unconscious man. In that time a lot had happened, and the doctor had brought along with him several others to help in his examination and supplies to help with that. Seeing everything brought into the room, and the people along with it started to make Anna and everyone else nervous.
After putting up a screen around the young man, the doctors and his associates proceeded into the makeshift screening room to further examine him. At first the doctor did a normal round of tests to examine for reflexes, pupil dilation, etc. all in a way to make sure this man was ok and not suffering from anything unusual.
Opening the man's shirt and examining him further, the doctor was surprised to see a lengthy amount of scarring on the man, especially on his back and chest area. Although most of it had faded into scares that were nothing that was unusual, the amount was what brought his attention up short. Based on the scarring and its type, it almost seems as if this young man has been through a war, the doctor thought.
After seeing to anything that might cause the man issues once he woke up, he proceeded to check out the tattoos that had been found on the man's body. Besides the obvious correlation to the spirits and what they connected, something else seemed…off about them. He had been told of the magnificent flames that had erupted from the man, as well as the display his companions had put on. Deciding that he needed someone with expertise in this type of field, he called for one of his old friends, a shaman, to come and further try to explain what was happening. Looking at his pocket watch, he noted that it had been well over an hour into his examination of the man, but with a sigh he continued onwards, knowing he needed to think over everything.
As the shaman was brought into the room, he quickly snapped his attention to the man laying on the bed, his eyes widening in shock. Everyone else in the room looked at the shaman/healer in confusion, wondering why he was reacting the way he was. The shaman couldn't believe what he was seeing, the amount of power radiating off this man was like nothing he had ever witnessed in his time as a shaman and healer. Nodding at his friend and colleague, he gestured to the screening area that was left open questioningly.
Seeing his friend nod, he Quickly walked across the room to the man's bed and began to close his eyes and slowly wave his hands in the air. As people were listening, they noticed softly said words that no one could quite make out and frankly couldn't understand. Seeing a very soft blue glow emanating from his hands, many were wondering just what type of healer this man was. After he was done, he lowered his hands and opened his eyes, wonder, shock and excitement showing clearly on his face.
Walking over to the doctor and his colleagues, he told them to gather everyone outside the screen so everyone could hear what needed to be said. The doctor started to object, but the healer quickly shut it down, "This is something that needs to be heard, especially by the queen".
Moving out towards the other side of the large room, everyone started to gather, noticing the queen was pacing in front of the fireplace with her friends at her side.
Quickly noticing all their arrival, Anna intervened "Would someone please tell me what in the world is going on?! It's been over two hours; we've all been worried sick!"
Trying to placate the queen before she got even more angry, the healer shot a quick look to Kristoff, who was able to get Anna to calm down somewhat, although she still demanded answers.
The doctor started off "When you brought me in, queen Anna, I did not expect to see the young man before me. One thing you have to keep in mind, this is someone for whom I have no medical history on, I cannot reference anything to help me along with the process.".
Nodding that she understood, somewhat grudgingly, she signaled for the doctor to continue.
"It took me awhile to go over everything with my staff here, and even then, we had to split our duties to check over the man. Luckily, from a medical standpoint he is in fine shape. Besides from a questionable amount of scarring over his body, he seems to be doing fine. Right now, he is unconscious still, and will remain that way for probably several more days.".
"His body seems to be trying to heal itself before wanting to wake up and face everyone" the shaman said.
Signaling to the healer/shaman, he introduced him to the queen, "This is my longtime friend and colleague Healer Amin. He specializes in cases with people who have…unique abilities. Believe it or not, he even consulted with your parents when it came to Elsa many years ago, when you were both very small" the doctor finished, smiling at the queen.
Looking somewhat surprised, but grateful none the less, Anna said "Thank you for coming at such short notice, I'm glad we were able to at least get to the bottom of some of this". Before she could dismiss everyone, the healer held up his hand, signaling that he had more to say.
"As my friend has said, I have experience in helping people who are having trouble in various parts of their lives. I have traveled all over this world in search for remedies and things that can help in growing my knowledge about this world and its unique capabilities."
Sighing softly, he continued "I have taken some time to examine the man in my own ways. Being a shaman as well as a healer has given me certain healing abilities to look at people from the inside out. It gives me a better perspective on the individual."
Getting slightly more serious he continued "The man on that bed is someone that I have never come across before. He holds power within him that I have not seen the likes of for many many years, and certainly not around here. I can't quite get a grip on what type of power he holds, but its significant and it rolls off him in waves continually swirling around him, almost protectively".
Looking back up at everyone he continued "All of you can't feel it because of how weak he is. When he returns to full power…" the man looked off into the distance, staring at nothing in wonder with a slight shudder.
Finally, he continued "The tattoos on his body obviously are connected to the spirits themselves, but… it just doesn't make sense" he said frustrated.
"It can't be true…we already have a human spirit; we can't have another…can we?" he said in a whisper almost solely to himself. Looking up once again, he noticed everyone's eyes on him, which was starting to make him nervous of what he might say.
Anna, noticing the man's hesitation to continue with his next statement tried to sooth his nerves "Don't fear of any backlash from us Healer Amin, whatever you have to say, say it. We need to know." She said determinedly.
Glancing around nervously, he finally sighed with slumped shoulders and gathered himself to finished off with what was going to be a shock to everyone.
"Based off what I have gathered from the man's condition and the way his tattoos are connected, it seems that their can only been one logical solution as to who this man is. From what I've been told about this man affinity for fire and his supposed companions that included even one of the water spirits, this man…." He finished reverently, turning around to look at the prone man a final time.
Anna, unable to wait blurted out, "What?! What is he?! WHO is he?!"
Slowly turning back around, everyone was surprised to see an extremely serious expression on Healer Amin's face.
He in turn looked everyone in the eye to make sure they were all paying attention, which they were.
"That man is the reincarnation of the powerful Fire spirit…and if I am to assume correctly based off his chest tattoo, he will have a very strong connection to queen Anna's sister, Elsa.".
Utter Silence followed his proclamation.
Next time on; The Fire Spirit: Harry wakes up, confusion ensues. Powers galore are shown and represented. Phoenix familiar introduced...? Elsa and Harry meet for the first time...? Eh? Eh? **Eyeball Emoji**
