Always and Forever:
After moving away to get her life together, Bella is back for her fathers wedding. She is happier than she has ever been, but she misses her home: her hybrid and her new family. Afraid of being hurt and broken she now has to deal with the added stress of her old life meeting her new one.
I don't know if this will follow the TVD storyline, but it will eventually have all the characters. The chapter is set after the the death of Mikael, but before the awakening of Esther. In this story, the Mikaelson's were woken up by Klaus, himself, due to him finally ridding the threat that was their father. Twilights timeline is wack! It will be set five years after the infamous breakup and she will be 22, because her birthday has not been celebrated in the year it is set.
I do not own The Vampire Diaries or Twilight. Vampire Diaries belongs to L.J Smith, Julie Plec, or Kevin Williamson and everyone else involved! Twilight belongs to Stephanie Meyer and everyone else involved with the films and books. This is for fun and no copyright infringement is intended!
Please leave a review after you're done with this story! I hope you like my interpretation of Angela's side of the story. I wanted Bella to have a connection with her because they were friends in the books, but their friendship is never truly explored in any fanfictions I have read!
Yeah, I cut my hair, close the blinds
Play Hallelujah like two dozen times
And yesterday, I tried to pray
But I didn't know what to say

TRIGGER WARNING!
This part of the story does contain comments about suicide! Please be careful, it's nothing in depth, but i hope that everyone remains cautious if they know they would not be able to live with this!
Angela had heard Bella was back in town. It was hard not to hear information like that. Forks was so small and Jessica's mother gossiped more than Lauren and Jessica combined. So, when the news hit her that Bella was back, she had been pleasantly surprised.
Bella hated Forks. From the structure of the building to the grass on the ground. Not only that, but the memories never resounded well in the town. Especially the ridicule she faced from Lauren and the others when Edward left. She had cried the day she had left, not because she was leaving the town. Angela distinctly remembered that. Bella had hated the place so much, but she had hugged Angela tightly before she left. She had cried into her shoulder and told her the only person she would even remotely miss was her.
Angela had kept contact with the brunette over the years, but eventually life caught up to them. Angela knew they hadn't talked to each other in over three years, but she had wanted to see her friend again. Even when they had talked years earlier, Angela had heard sadness in her tone. So, when her father- the officiate of Charlie and Sue's wedding- asked her to come along, Angela agreed. She wanted to see Bella again.
She had seen Bella. The same Bella that had entered Forks at the age of 17. A girl who had fire in her body that only ignited when someone she loved was insulted. Angela had seen Bella defend her family, forgetting her calm and shy nature as soon as they were brought out into the open for everyone to spit on. Angela had quietly left the scene as soon as Bella had walked out. Many of the other guests had as well. They had always seen Charlie and the Cullens in a good light, but their words had made everyone disgusted. How could these people not see that the once broken girl was finally happy and healing? Why were they tearing that happiness down?
When her mother asked Angela to protect Bella, she had. No matter how far away Bella had been, she was always going to be her friend. Her sister.
Now she stood in front of the house Bella was supposedly staying at. She wondered whether she should have came or not, but before she could return to the car, the door flung open. She jumped back, looking at the man who stood across from her. He wore a leather jacket with a white shirt underneath. Everything about him made Angela want to run for the hills. She felt as if he could kill with a snap of his finger.
"Well, who might you be?" The man smirked eyeing Angela. The girl blushed, trying to think of her response. She didn't have to think much, as someone spoke up from behind him.
"Why are you standing in the doorway?" Angela looked away from the man and towards the young girl who stood next to him. "Angela..."
"Bella," Angela managed to get out. She had seen her old friend from a distance, but that did not do justice. Angela could see that she was happy. More confident. Her whole style had changed and yet she looked like the old Bella, just... mature.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Angela didn't expect the hug, but the girl immediately reached out to wrap her arms around her.
"I came by to see you. I saw you at the wedding, but you...left before I could say hi," Angela answered, pulling away from the brunette. Bella gave her a sheepish smile.
"I must admit, my anger gets the best of me sometimes," she grinned.
"Do introduce us, poppet, you're being a horrible hostess." Bella rolled her eyes at the man's words but introduced the two anyways. Angela noticed they fondness in her eyes, despite her scowl.
"Angela meet Kol, Kol meet Angela."
"Pleasure," Kol winked. Bella pushed past Kol and pulled Angela inside the house.
"Ignore him, he was dropped quite often as a baby." Angela sat down next to Bella on the couch, nervous as ever.
"Oh don't be like that, darling. Besides you didn't even know me then," Kol winked taking a seat on the loveseat.
"Kol, please do be courteous of our guests." Angela looked up at the formal toned man. He wore a suit, as if it was casual attire. His posture scream sophistication, yet it also resounded the idea of power. He was followed by a man with curly curly dark blond man. He was less formal. He looked more like Kol. Neither seemed surprised to see her.
"I'm always courteous, brother," Kol's words snapped Angela away from the two men. Instead she turned towards Bella, who looked tired of all three of them.
"Angela meet Niklaus, my boyfriend, and this is his brother, Elijah." Bella introduced the two Mikaelson brothers, making Angela smile at both of them in greeting. "Nik, Elijah, meet Angela Webber. She used to be in high school with me."
The two men didn't say anything, but both greeted her with a nod of their heads and a small smile on their faces. Angela watched as Niklaus greeted Bella with a kiss on the head.
"We have some business to get to in Seattle, will you be alright by yourself?" He asked her quietly. Angela could still hear him, but chose to looked away from them. She didn't want to invade their privacy.
"I will be fine," Bella assured him.
"I will call you when we're on the way," he told her. She gave him a small smile, leaning up to kiss him.
"Be safe and try not to antagonise anyone," Bella warned him.
"I don't know what you're talking about, I'm perfectly capable of controlling my anger."
Angela was surprised when she heard a snort come out from Kol. She had forgotten the others were in the room.
"We do have to go today," Kol told his brother.
"Kol, wait in the car," Niklaus looked away from Bella, annoyance etched into his face. Kol just rolled his eyes but left the room, grabbing the keys on his way out.
"It was nice meeting you, Ms. Webber," Elijah's smooth voice was heard as he gave her a nod before he also exited the house.
Angela didn't know what to do as Niklaus kissed Bella. She almost sighed in relief when it didn't get too intimate. The two pulled apart, remembering their company. Angela could see that the man still whispered something to Bella quietly, causing her to blush and him to grin, before he finally let her go.
"Do not let anyone enter the house," Niklaus was intense, even Angela could tell. But she saw the underlying worry in his eyes.
"I'm not stupid, Nik." Bella kissed his cheek before pushing him towards the door. "Could you pick up groceries on the way home?"
"I will have Rebekah do it, as she is already out, and we don't know how long we'll be." Bella gave him a nod as he finally stepped out of the house.
"I love you!" Bella called out to him just as he stepped into the car. Angela didn't hear his response, but when Bella turned back around, she had a smile on her face.
"Sorry about that," Bella said, turning back to her guest. "Would you like anything to drink or eat?"
"I'm good, thanks," Angela smiled.
"So, those are the Mikaelson's you met. I remember you used to talk about them on the phone," Angela noticed that Bella's smile dimmed a little.
"Yeah..." she sat down across from Angela, where Kol had been sitting earlier. "I met Kol first and then eventually the rest of the family. They've been persistent in helping me since I've met them."
"You look happy," Angela commented, not wanting to anger or sadden her with her words. "I'm sorry I wasn't there for your recovery."
"It's not your fault," Bella told her. "It's mine... I never..."
"I never called back. I heard your voicemail's and saw your texts, but I couldn't bring myself to call you back. I thought you'd be ashamed of the person I had become before I started recovering."
"What are you talking about?" Angela, for the first time in a while, didn't know what Bella was talking about. Angela tried to remember if she had said something that might have expressed false disappointment, but found nothing. "What did you do?"
"I didn't succeed, but for a moment... my heart had stopped. Nik and Kol got to me just before I-"
"You attempted suicide?" Angela's voice trembled. Her eyes filled with unshed tears.
"I... I wasn't getting better and I just believed that I was a nuisance to everyone around me. I was in the wrong mindset for so long. I didn't know that I already had so much negativity around me from a young age and I didn't realise what I had in front of me. I only saw everyone being there because they had to, I never perceived it as anything more than a forced friendship," Bella explained. "But then I saw the Mikaelson's faces when I came back. I saw how they looked ready to murder anyone on my behalf. I saw the anger and sadness they had towards the people that hurt me. For the first time... I felt truly happy. I wasn't alone in the world anymore and after that they walked every step of the way."
"I wasn't alone ever again. Even today, if any of them find out I am alone, one will return to keep me company. I think they're worried I'll be back to my old mindset, but I don't think I ever will be if I'm with them."
"They truly saved you," Angela whispered.
"Yeah, they did." Bella smiled sadly at the idea of her old self. "After my recovery, I couldn't bring myself to call you again. I was afraid you'd think less of me and that you'd be disappointed. I rather you be angry that I didn't keep in contact than have you be disappointed at me."
"Oh, Bella," Angela stood up and pulling the girl into a hug. "I would never be disappointed in you. You are the bravest person I know."
They sat there for quiet a while. Angela's arms remains wrapped around Bella body. Bella couldn't help but relish in the hug. She had missed Angela. She was the only person Bella had wanted to see from her past life after everything happened.
Do you like Angela? I hope you do, she was one of my favourite side-characters in the actual book, but I find that there isn't many fanfiction that includes her anymore, because they tend to go off of the movies!
