Chapter 1: A Second Chance
Dying sucks...
...I think. See the problem is I don't remember dying, all I remember are the events leading up to my possible death.
I woke up, got dressed, went downstairs, ate a bowl of cereal for breakfast, and left the house for school. My College isn't (wasn't?) that far from my house is just a short twenty-minute walk, the most dangerous part about my route was I had to cross a somewhat busy road in front of my college. It's even got a stoplight at the intersection! No, I didn't get hit by a car, or at let I don't think I got hit by one, all I remember is one minute I'm walking, then I hear a loud bang, or was it a boom? I don't know, all I know is I hear a loud sound and the next? I'm here!
Where ever 'here' is. If this is the afterlife, then I want my money back. I mean come on! I know there's no way anybody back on Earth- Wait, am I still considered on Earth? Probably not. But I know that there's no way anyone living could possibly know, but really? All that hype for this? I look around and all I see is darkness and there's nothing. No sounds, No light, no nothing. It's fucking limbo is what it is, and It's more than a little unnerving. And I'm probably going to go insane if all I've got to keep myself company is my thoughts and that weird glow window-thingy.
Wait, Window-thingy? Lost in my thoughts as I was, I didn't notice the bright fucking glowing box appear in front of me.
Welcome to the Game!
Congratulations You Died!
You've been given a Second chance at life! (With a boost too!)
Do you accept? [Yes/No]
Staring like an idiot at the window for an embarrassingly long time. I shake my head. I'm not dealing with the afterlife's shit sense of Humor. Also, I feel like I've seen this somewhere before-oh, wait.
"Really? Am I in some sort of shitty fanfiction-type bullshit?"
The window does not answer my question. Looking around at my non-existent surroundings, and then back at the floating window, shrugging I quickly come to a decision.
"Fuck it, anywhere's probably better than here"
I reach out and tap [Yes].
As soon as my finger touches the [Yes] button, I shudder and my surroundings change, no longer am I in limbo, or whatever the hell that place was. Looking around I see a huge mirror in front of me as well as more windows.
As part of your Second Chance, you, The Gamer, are allowed to modify your avatar's appearance to your heart's content.
Go Wild, you can change anything and everything. Even your Race!
This includes what would've been considered "Fantasy races" from your previous life.
To make modifications simply think of the changes you wish to occur and a preview will show. Once you've finished all of your desired changes, or if you're satisfied with your current avatar, proceed through the mirror in front of you.
*Note Changes will not occur until after Character creation is complete.
Uh, Okay? Let's see here, anything? I guess I'll start with trimming off those extra pounds and adding in some more pronounced muscles. While I was never fat by any means, I certainly wasn't skinny either. As I'm thinking over these changes a little mini-me appears in front of me and I get to watch as my belly fat disappears and in its place, the beginnings of a six-pack appear. I then start thinking about the option to change my race, does that mean like I could be an Orc or something like that? I'm answered as now in front of me appears what I think is me but in orc form. Neat. I'm gonna need to take some time to figure out what I want to look like.
Well done!
Now that your avatar is complete, it's time to pick a Hub World!
It was neat to see what I'd look like as a Wookie and whatever the hell Yoda is, but I stuck with being a plain old human. An absolutely hung Man of course. Kidding.
Kind of.
But anyway, thoughts of my now possibly modified manhood aside, What the Hell is a Hub World?
A Hub World is the world or in this case, Universe, that will serve as your "Home Base".
It is from here that you will be able to travel through to other universes. You will also be able to purchase upgrades for your Hub world as you gain Money.
You may pick from the following Universes:
WARNING ERROR/$%#*&*$
Before I can respond, Another window pops up. This one is different from the others, whereas so far all the windows have been white with black text, this one was inverted. Black with white Text. Concerned, I hurry to read the newest pop-up.
Hey, Kid
Sorry about taking you early.
I'm REALLY sorry about that, but I can't return you to your old life.
So instead, you're getting another chance and I'm giving you a boost too.
The easiest way for me to do that is by giving you money.
Anyway, again Sorry 'bout taking you early.
-Death
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? I wasn't supposed to die!? Really? God-Damn it. Well, ain't nothing I can do about it. Moving on.
Wait. That's all? I feel like I should be a lot more emotional about that. Now that I think of it, shouldn't I have had a breakdown by now? Ya, know with me being dead and all? Or was I just that emotionally fucked before I died?
Notice:
Emotions damped by Gamer's Mind
That is all
Now then back to your Hub World selection.
You may choose from the following:
RWBY
Azur Lane
Fallout
Warhammer 40k
Halo
Star Wars
Alright, that's a nice little list to choose from, but which do I want to pick? RWBY, I know a solid amount of the lore and events that occur, but there's a super-strong Witch trying to take over the world. Maybe. Azur Lane? It's got really hot chicks, but those chicks are also actual War Ships, and I really don't think I can fight actual War Ships, yet. So no. Fallout? No, just no. I do not want to have to deal with everything trying to constantly kill me, well at least not without running water and indoor plumbing. Warhammer 40k? God no, I just died, I don't want to die again. Halo? It could be fun, but I'm rusty on some of the lore. A Solid maybe then. Star Wars? That's gonna be a no from me, I hate the new trilogy.
So Halo or RWBY?
I'll go with RWBY, I know more about the lore. The fact that there's a fuckton of hot girls has, in no way, shape, or form, influenced my decision. Not at all.
Selecting RWBY, I wait for the next notification to come up.
Hub World selection confirmed.
Next, it's time to fill out your character sheet.
Your character sheet is a representation of you.
Your stats, abilities, and traits are all listed on your character sheet.
First, what is your name?
P.S. If you ever do visit the Star Wars Universe, it will be as it was before the new Trilogy.
Oh, that'd been nice to know before I selected my Hub World, but whatever I guess.
Now, my name? That's easy, my name is…
My name is? What is my name?! Why can't I remember my own fucking name!? I remember anime, but not my own fucking name? What else can't I remember? Why?
Notice:
Some Information from your previous life has been deemed unnecessary and has been removed as a result.
Well fuck you too Game. Fuck's Sake, and I can't even get pissed off about it either! Damn Gamer's Mind, I still don't know what that is. Well, whatever now I gotta make myself a new name. I take the next few minutes to think about what I want my name to be. I want something that's not completely stupid.
After I input my new name, another box pops up.
Gunmar Blackstone
Is this your name?
[Yes/No]
I think it fits, especially if I'm going to Nazarick, I'm probably going to end up on the eviler side of the morality scale. That's fine with me, being a good person got me nowhere last time anyway.
After confirming my choice the window disappears and another much larger window appears in its place.

Huh, so that's what Gamer's Mind is, and Gamer's Body sounds fucking amazing. But now I've got to figure out what kind of build I'm going for. I've always liked the idea of a Spellsword, or rather someone who's a Melee character but augments and boosts themselves with magic. In most games, this type of character would never be the best in either Melee or Magic but would make up for it in versatility. I'm hoping that I'll be able to overcome this deficiency with extra time spent training and grinding.
So with that in mind, I begin distributing my stat points. After a few minutes, my character sheet looked like this.

Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. Now what?
Now Gamer, you have two options.
Option One:
Finish the tutorial. You'll have a chance to earn some loot.
Option Two:
Skip the rest of the tutorial, and start your new life.
So, that's what all this is, a tutorial. Well, that's a no-brainer. Option One. The tutorial exists for a reason, yea normally tutorials are super boring and generally useless, but this isn't a video game. Yes, I'm aware of the irony there. What if there's some super important information that I'll miss out on if I skip the rest of the tutorial? Huh, what then?
For making a wise choice, your [WIS] has increased by 1!
Kidding. This ain't that type of system. Do you want your points? Earn 'em.
Note* You can grind out stats, but this is not recommended.
Very funny Game, but yes, I'll continue the tutorial.
I'm almost finished with the second part of the tutorial. Which is mostly the game explaining the party feature, my inventory, and the other menus I have access to. Oh, and the game explained how quests work. If anyone gives me a task of some sort, anything from delivering mail to saving a kingdom, the game will create a quest for it, which includes tasks I set for myself, and while that's a lot of useful information, I've not yet seen my promised loot. Gimme ma Loot!
Calm down, we're getting there.
Next up, a small combat encounter has been prepared for you.
This is to allow you to get a taste of what combat is like.
But, before we begin, we'll get you your loot. Unless of course if you would prefer to try your luck butt naked and only using fisticuffs?
No thanks, but I'll probably pick up a fist-fighting skill later. It's an important skill to have, especially since I know that I'm most definitely going to end up weaponless at some point. It's just my luck.
Smart choice, also you're able to increase your luck, idiot.
Now, just think of what gear you would like and think of 3 spells you want to learn.
Neat, could do without the sass though. Now for my physical loadout, I'm definitely going with a double-headed bearded axe, a Shield, and heavy armor. A sword is cool and all, and a mace is way too slow, but an axe is where it's at. It's got a decent ability to damage armored foes, while still being a relatively quick weapon. Also, I like axes, sue me. For the magic side of things, I'm thinking of a Healing Spell, and I want to be able to shoot lightning from my hands, so maybe Lightning Bolt? But I don't know what to choose for the third. Do I just get another offensive spell? Fireball? No, I've already got that department covered, I think. Then maybe a buff spell, like a speed boost, or an armor buff? But then which aspect do I boost? Too many choices there, so no.
Heh. Maybe I'll take a charm spell, so I can seduce tons of beautiful women and fulfill every teenage boy's dream of having his own Harem.

After getting the quest notification, there's a bright flash and as I look around it seems that the Game has moved me into a forest of some kind, but before I take a single step, I feel a weird tingly sensation travel down my spine. Shaking it off as nothing more than a side effect of my first time teleporting, however, I'm soon proven wrong, as a blinding pain hits my head. It feels worse than any hangover I've ever had, but then, just as quickly as it came, it's gone.
What the hell was that?
Apologizes.
That was a side effect of importing and merging the old you, mentally at least, with your current mentality and your new body.
This is so that you gain the traits you had before your death.
As well as adding your new traits and skills gained from character creation.
Before I can respond, a few new windows pop-up.

I really can't argue with that. I did do some really perverted stuff in high school, but those skills! I can't wait to test those spells out. Although what's up with the Evil trait? I guess it's from my alignment?
Eh, whatever, I'll deal with it later. I want to get back to my quest.
Picking myself up off the ground from where I collapsed, I take a moment to look at my equipment.
Iron Double-Headed Axe [Common]
Deals [STR+10] Physical Damage
Wooden Round Shield [Common]
Blocks 25 Physical Damage
Iron Full Plate Armor [Common]
Reduces incoming physical damage by 35
It's something at least. I'd hate to see how I'd end up with nothing but my fists. I doubt I'd last a minute against anything.
Shaking my head, I know this is going to end with a combat encounter. I draw my weapon and ready my shield, as I begin moving forward again. I've got to find this cave first, it seems. As I move I'm constantly watching out for hidden attackers. The last thing I want is to get jumped by whatever it is I'm going to be fighting.
I'm so focused on looking out for potential hidden foes, I almost don't notice the cliff in front of me.
Well, I say cliff, but it's really just the side of a small valley, It's maybe a twenty-foot drop at most. At the bottom is the entrance to the cave I'm most likely looking for. Looking down I notice a strange… Sign? It's a cross with the skull of an animal on the top of it, with bones connecting the skull to the arms of the cross forming a triangle with the skull at the top. It's very primitive as well. I get a strange feeling from it, I think I've seen this before. Sliding down the side of the small drop, I take a closer look at the strange marker.
Wait, the game said I'd travel to video game and anime universes, right?
Shit, Then I know what that is. It's the fucking goblin cave marker from the first episode of Goblin Slayer! That probably means that The Priestess and that group of adventures she temporarily joined are in there. I'm willing to bet that saving them are my bonus objectives. I'd better get a move on if I want to save them.
I'd just taken my first few steps into the cave when I heard a scream, a very distinctively feminine scream echoing from deeper into the cave.
Shit, if I remember correctly then the Mage chick most likely just got stabbed, I need to hurry up if I'm gonna get that quest bonus. As I start off at a jog towards the now endangered adventures, I notice a green bar appear at the edge of my screen and slowly start to tick down as I jog, must be my Sp. I need to keep an eye on that, if I run out of stamina my melee attacks are reduced by 90%, I really don't need that, especially against these goblins, and that Hobgoblin is here too.
Suddenly from up ahead, I hear a gut-wrenching howl of pain, distinctively male too. There goes the swordsman. That means the Martial artist girl is next, and the hobgoblin is close too. I need to wait for the big ugly bastard before I reveal myself. It's heartless, but I don't care. I'm only here because of the quest, and exp. Saving those girls is just a side-effect.
Wow, traits really affect how I think, don't they? That's kind of unsettling.
That doesn't matter though, I need to focus, I'm about to be in a life or death moment. I need to get my head in the game. Think! Don't make the same mistakes the adventurers did. The swordsman lost his sword because it hit the ceiling of the cave because it was too long. I readjust my grip on my axe, moving my hand up the shaft of the handle, check. Next, the Mage, she gets stabbed because she panicked. Gamer's Mind should prevent that, check. Third, the Martial Artist couldn't deal enough damage to the hobgoblin to affect it. If my axe doesn't cut it, I've got my spells. Check.
A blood-curdling scream draws my attention as I see the Martial Artist getting mobbed by the goblins. Fuck, I need to act now, I need to draw their attention to me. Standing up, I run out into the open.
"HEY FUCKHEADS, OVER HERE!"
I yell as I cast a lightning bolt at the Hobgoblin, hitting it square in the back. I watch as it falls over. Seeing me, the six goblins, switch their focus off the Martial Artist and charge at me. Good, it's time to see how strong these fuckers really are.
Moving to meet the goblins, I slash at the first goblin leaping to tackle me, bisecting it in two. One down. Raising my shield, I block an overhead stab from another leaping goblin. Shoving that goblin off of me, I repay the favor with an overhead swing of my axe, splitting its skull open. Two down. While I was busy with the second goblin the other four quickly surrounded me, the two behind me pushing their advantage by attempting to stab the back of my legs. My armor blocks the first attempt, but the second goblin strikes at the gap in my armor at the back of my knee.
I snarl as I backhand the little fucker away with my shield, quickly reaching down to pull the knife out. With my attention away from them, the goblins in front of me trying to bash my head in. Luckily I'm just able to get my shield up in time to block their clubs, and I lash out with my axe, cutting through the goblin on my right's arm at the shoulder, quite literally disarming it. Three down. As I stand I throw out my shielded arm, stabbing the other goblin in front of me with the dagger I stole from its friend. Four. Spinning around, I barely have enough time to bring up my axe and hit the goblin screeching at my face, knocking the fucker to the ground, with a shallow cut for its effort, I curb stomp its head in. Five down, one left. Looking up at the Last goblin, I can see the fear in its eyes as it turns to run away. Oh no, you don't, you ain't getting away that easy. I leap after it, just barely managing to tackle it as it begins to flee, I start bashing its head in with the edge of my shield, only stopping once I see its brains. Six.
Standing up, I wince at the pain from my leg, shit aren't those daggers poisoned? Fuck. I need to take care of that. I'm so busy trying to figure out how to deal with the poison, I don't notice the Hobgoblin approaching me until it's too late. With a roar, I find myself flung down the tunnel. Landing hard, that's gonna leave a mark, it's all I can do to bring up my shield and brace as the Hobgoblin smashes downwards. Wincing at the force behind the hit, I kick out hitting the hobgoblin's unprotected weak spot. Bet you won't be making any more of your kind for a while.
Hearing a pained roar and feeling the force trying to crush me removed, I hurry to stand up and make some room between the hobgoblin and myself. Looking at the recovering goblinoid, I glare, and cast Lightning bolt, and charge the convulsing brute. I strike out with a horizontal slash, but the hobgoblin brings up its arms, suffering a deep cut on its forearms, but protecting its head. In retaliation, the Hobgoblin launches out a surprisingly fast set of punches meant for my head. I bring up my shield and brace. The force nearly knocks me over again, quickly recovering I lash out with overhead chop. As expected the hobgoblin grabs my axe, but before it can launch me as it did with the martial artist, I cast a lightning bolt with my other hand hitting in the head. Ripping my axe out of its grip, I start hacking away at this thing's arms. It tries to stop me, but the aftershocks of my lightning seem to have sapped away its strength from before. Locking eyes with the beast, I grin sadistically as I watch the fear in its eyes grow, as it realizes it's about to die. Gripping my axe with both hands I raise it over my head, and with a roar of my own I bring down my axe ending the miserable creature's life.
Standing over the Hobgoblin's body, I'm hit with a wave of fatigue and pain as the adrenaline begins to fade away. I nearly collapse as I take a step, and I'm painfully reminded that I've been poisoned, however before I can do much a wave of notifications pop-up.

Looking at my health, Ouch, that fucking hobgoblin hit hard. I can only imagine how that Martial Arti-Shit!
Moving over to the three girls, I can see the Martial Artist Girl on the ground, clothes ripped to shreds, bruises and scratches all over her, including her nice shapely-Focus Gunmar, healing now, ass and boobs later. Looking up, I see the Priestess fearfully staring at me, and in front of her, I see the Mage girl, blood leaking out from where she was stabbed. I better deal with the Mage Girl first, she's got the most life-threatening wound. Moving over to the pair, I see the Priestess fall over backward, letting out a cute 'eep' as she lands on her butt. Kneeling down, I quickly pull up the unresponsive girl's shirt, examining the stab, that's a lot of blood, but hopefully, minor Cure and Minor Healing Hands will do the trick.
Placing my hands just above and below the wound, I cast Minor Healing Hands. Feeling the drain of Mana as I watched the wound slowly stitch itself shut, taking a lot longer than I'd hope. I'm almost out of Mp when the wound is finally closed up, leaving a noticeable scar. Taking a deep breath. I sit there waiting for my Mp to regen when the Priestess speaks up.
"Who are you and where did you come from?"
Looking up at her, she flinches as we lock eyes.
"What the Hell were you idiots thinking!?"
The Priestess recoils as if I'd just physically struck her.
"W-we w-we-"
"I don't want to hear it right now! I've got to finish stabilizing your friend here, and then tend to your other party member, so just sit there and be quiet."
"Y-yes s-s-sir"
Poor Girl, but damn, that Evil Trait, makes me feel so good to see her cowering, or maybe it's my other trait. Either way, she looks like she's on the verge of tears, and I really don't want to deal with a crying girl right now.
Casting Minor Cure on the Mage Girl, and Oh, it seems she passed out from the pain. Eh, whatever. I move over to the Priestess, she looks down refusing to meet my eyes, sniffling. I decide to test out my Charm spell, casting it as I grab the girl's shoulders. She flinches at the contact as expected, but she soon relaxes and hesitantly looks at me. I think my spell worked.
"Listen up, this nest isn't cleared yet, and you've got three party members down. The smell of blood is in the air, that, combined with the scent of your fear will only bring more goblins to us. The little fuckers can smell fear, and it drives them nuts."
I don't actually know if goblins can smell fear, but eh. She goes to speak, but nothing but a small whimper comes out. So instead she just nods, but she still looks terrified. Deciding to play the Heroic savior, that I'm not, and attempt to comfort her. I pull her into a hug and start slowly stroking her head. She latches on to my torse, and I can tell that it helps calm her down a little, but she's still shaking like a leaf. This girl chose the wrong profession, and since I really don't want to deal with an overly emotional teenage girl, I'm going to have to calm her down. Attempting to calm her down, again, I pull her into my lap, and I wrap my arms around her. Time to play the part.
"Shh, there, there. Listen to me, even if more goblins show up, I'm here. I won't let those nasty goblins get their claws on a cute girl like you. You're safe with me, but I need Okay?"
Looking down at her, I watch her look up at me, and sniffle, wiping her arm on her sleeve.
"Y-you mean it?"
Smiling, I reply.
"Yes, I mean it."
She visibly relaxes, and I help her up. She's almost too easy to manipulate. I walk over to the Martial Artist and kneel down. She's still alive, but she's naked (Not a bad thing), very badly bruised and her leg is at an angle that it shouldn't be at, and she's just barely conscious. Looking up to the Priestess.
"Look away, this ain't going to be pretty, also I'm going to need your staff."
Shooting me a confused look, but not willing to question, or hopefully better yet disobey, me, She hands me her staff and looks down the tunnel, pointedly away from the corpses littered around the area.
Looking back down to the barely conscious girl, I put the wooden shaft of the Priestess' staff up to the Girl's lips.
"Open your mouth and get ready to bite down on this. I'm going to have to reset your leg so I can heal it properly."
Locking eyes with the downed girl, the only answer I get is the girl struggling to open her mouth. Sighing, I gently flip the girl on to her back, totally not just to get a good look at her tits (They are very nice), I open her mouth and place the wooden shaft-handle. Wooden handle into her mouth. Gently taking a hold of her misshapen leg, I begin to count down.
"5, 4, 3-"
When I hit three, I rapidly force her leg back into its proper shape, inciting a muffled scream of pain from the naked girl. After she finally stops screaming, I remove the staff from her mouth, handing it back to the Priestess. I then gently lift the back of the dark-haired girl and place my other hand just below her left breast, gently pulling her closer (Again totally no ulterior motive here) I cast Minor Healing Hands. I sit holding her for just long enough for her leg to heal enough to not need a brace. I think. Setting her down, I start fake panting and act Like I'm catching my breath. I look at the Martial Artist in the eyes.
"I'm sorry but I'm spent, I can't cast anymore healing today, but you'll live."
She closes her eyes and nods. Weakly opening her eyes, she struggles to speak in barely above a whisper.
"Th-Thank you."
I smile, it grows when I get a notification.
By performing a certain action, you've created new skills.
Lying [LVL 1][6%]
The ability to Successfully deceive someone verbally.
Effect: Adds an Additional 1% Chance to successfully lie to someone.
Acting [LVL 1][11%]
The ability to pretend you're something you're not.
Effect: Adds an additional 1% chance to make someone believe you are what you're acting as.
Those skills will be useful in the future, I just need to level them up. Looking back at the Martial Artist girl, I see her still staring at me.
"Shh, save your energy. You're gonna need it."
I see the barest of nods as she accepts my words, I can tell she's on the verge of unconsciousness. Acting quickly, I tell the Priestess to go check on the Mage Girl. She does so, showing some hesitancy, but with a pointed look, she reluctantly follows my order. Once I see her kneel down next to the mage, I quickly cast Charm on the Martial Artist before speaking.
"I'll need to keep a close eye on you tonight while you sleep to make sure everything is healing correctly. You and the Mage over there will be with me tonight."
She seems to accept my bullshit excuse to have her sleep close to me. I smirk, chuckling internally. Too Easy. Almost.
Standing up, I gently pick the still naked girl up off the floor, then turn towards the Priestess and unconscious Mage Girl. Walking over, I look at the mage, then at the Priestess. Shaking my head slightly, I say
"Help me pick up your mage friend here."
She nods softly, she responds
"Okay"
With her help and some finagling, I managed to successfully carry both the Mage Girl and the Martial Artist Girl outside the cave walking a small ways away from the entrance I gently set both girls down. Looking at the Priestess, I say
"Stay here, watch over them, and I'll be back when I'm done clearing that nest."
Not bothering to wait for a reply I turn to leave when I hear
"Wait! You can't just leave m-us! W-what if more of t-those g-g-g-goblins show up?!"
I can almost hear the tears in her quivering voice. Sighing I turn around and face the Priestess, Casting Charm again, I say
"You're going to stay here and wait while I finish clearing that nest. You will be fine out here. The Goblins are in there. Am. I. Understood?"
Getting a nod, and a weak yes sir, from the blonde girl. I nod and turn back to the cave and re-enter, dismissing my newest notification.
Charm has leveled up!
By your actions, you've created a new skill!
Dominate
Force another to submit to your will! This Skill is similar to charm, but instead of liking you more and being more likely to do what you want, a Dominated creature has no choice but to obey you!
Cost: 200 Mp
Resisting the urge to cackle, I grin, now that is my kinda skill! But I'll deal with that later, right now I need to recall what happens normally in the story. Had I not intervened when I did, then The Martial Artist Girl gets raped, the Priestess retreats with the unresponsive Mage Girl, but gets shot with an arrow, the Mage gets molested by two goblins. Then Goblin slayer shows up, saves the Priestess, the mage dies, and They work together to save the martial artist girl and other village girls taken by the goblins.
I wonder, where is The Goblin Slayer?
The Goblin Slayer does not exist in this world, instead, you fill the role of The Goblin Slayer. Check your inventory, you'll find your silver rank tag there. One thing to note, the False backstory in this world created for you to fit into the role of Goblin Slayer is different from the Show. And no I'm not telling you what it is, you'll have to find that out for yourself.
Oh, well fuck you too Game. Whatever, I've got to clear this damn nest, before I worry about that.
I know that there's a powerful Goblin Shaman in the main chamber where the girls are kept. It's tougher than your average goblin but nowhere near as tough as the Hobgoblin. So hopefully a few lightning bolts will kill it, and if I remember correctly with the goblins that are already dead there should only be around Seven more goblins, including the Shaman. It's also going to be really dark in there, I wonder if I can make a skill that allows me to see in the dark? Let me try, focusing again on my Skill Creation skill, I think of night vision. I'm rewarded with a notification.
Skill Created!
Darkvision
Allows the user to see in the Dark, but only in shades of grey.
Cost: 25 Mp per minute.
25 Mp per minute? That's okay, if I'm only using Darkvision, my regen will take care of it, but I should still be careful. Activating Darkvision, the formerly pitch-black cave suddenly looks like it's on an old 60's Television, wait I remember that, but not my Fucking original name?! Are you fucking kidding me Game!?
No response, Dick.
Cunt
Asshat.
What no response now?
Hmf, I'll probably never understand the Game. Whatever, I really don't care.
After a few minutes of walking, I'm back at the spot where I 'saved' the adventurers. I notice the arm of the swordsman. Correction, where I saved most of the adventurers. Ah, well Loot time. Walking around I pick up the Longsword of the late Swordsman and all the daggers and hatchets I find and toss them into my inventory. I also pick up the Mage's broken staff. Looking over it, I jump slightly when another notification pops-up.
Skill Created!
Observe
Look at stuff and know what it does! Works on People too! (Only works on those less than 10 Levels higher than you)
Cost: 100 Mp
Broken Mage Staff
The staff of a Mage but the handle is broken, However since the spell focus is still intact so the item can still boost spells when used.
Effect: Doubles the output of a Spell, while slightly reducing the Mp cost.
Nice! That'll definitely come in handy, I'll carry it in my shield hand. I wonder if I can make my axe into spell focus like that. Thoughts for later, I'm still in the middle of a quest right now.
Continuing deeper into the cave, I know I have one advantage over the goblins, they don't know I can see them and their traps. I've lost count of the number of tripwires I've stepped over at this point, and as I step over another tripwire, I hear the faint feral growls and snorts of goblins ahead. Good, that means I'm almost done. Before I continue, I remember that in the show Goblin Slayer used the Priestess' Holy Light to blind the goblins before attacking. I think I can recreate that if I make a flare-like skill. Calling upon my Skill Creation Skill, I can once again feel the mana following to my hands as I think of a flare gun.
Skill Created!
Flare
Launch a magic Flare! Warning, it's almost as bright as the sun, Don't blind yourself numbnuts.
Effect: Create a bright ball of magical light that travels Fifty Feet is the direction the spell is cast.
Cost: 15 Mp
That'll do the Trick. I hope. Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, I don't see the patrolling goblin holding a bow, or the arrow flying straight towards me. All I feel is the arrow stab into my shoulder, right into the unprotected area between my pauldron and my chest plate.
Collapsing to the stone floor with a surprised cry of pain, so much pain, I drop the Mage Girl's staff. Now I'm sure the entire nest knows I'm here, fuck. I hear the pitter-patter of small feet rushing towards me, looking up I see a spear-wielding goblin charging straight at me. Rushing to my feet, I'm barely able to stand before the spear meets my chest plate, thankfully sliding harmlessly off, but nearly knocking me back over from the force of impact. Acting quickly, I strike at the spear goblin, unfortunately, for the goblin, it isn't able to move out of the way of my axe fast enough. Watching the spray of blood from the now headless goblin, I'm quickly reminded that I'm not alone, as an arrow skims the side of my helmet. As I try to raise my shield, the arrow still stuck in my shoulder painfully reminds me that I can't raise my arm with it in my shoulder. Grunting in pain, I try to remove it as I've seen in movies and TV. Let me tell you, that is not how you should try removing an arrow if you don't know what the hell you're doing. After removing the arrow, during which I actually caused more damage than when the arrow hit me. I look back down the cave and I see the goblin with a bow lining up another shot. I desperately raise my shield, just barely managing to get it up in time to block the arrow, embedding it into the wood of my shield, instead of my body.
Looking over the edge of my shield, I see the goblin archer and the entrance to the main chamber behind it. In the show, Goblin slayer counted twenty-two goblins in the nest, including the Hobgoblin and the four children. I've killed the Hobgoblin and 7 goblins, and The adventurers managed to kill a whopping three, that should mean that there are only 5 goblins plus the Shaman left.
As I'm thinking, I really should stop doing that during combat, another arrow flies overhead. I've had enough of that archer. Grunting, I throw out my hand and cast a Lightning Bolt at the archer, and prepare to retreat. Just in time too, considering that the rest of the nest has arrived. As I turn, I nearly step on the Mage's staff. I'd forgotten I'd dropped that. Picking it up, I hear the pitter-patter of goblins charging again, and as I start sprinting down the cave, I throw a look over my shoulder. Watching as the short-legged Goblins grow smaller and smaller, eventually giving up. Hopefully, they think I've retreated and left their cave, as they did with Goblin Slayer in the show.
Pausing to regenerate my Sp, I realize I need a better plan. I may not take Physical wounds anymore, as shown by the lack of bleeding holes in my leg and shoulder, but I most certainly still feel pain.
Thinking for a moment, I come to another realization. I need an AOE spell, one that'll allow me to hit most, if not all, the goblins at once. I know just the spell. Calling upon my inner well of mana, as well as Skill Creation, I imagine a roaring inferno, the flames consuming all that they touch leaving nothing but ash into their wake. I imagine it all in the palm of my hand.
Skill Created!
Flamethrower
Spew White Hot flame, from the palm of your hand!
Effects: Launch a ten-foot-long stream of fire, ignites any flammable material the flames touch.
Cost: 25 Mp per second
Grinning like a fool, I resist the urge to cackle. This will do nicely, although with that cost it's going to wreak havoc on my Mp. I'm glad I have that Mage's Spell focus.
Readying myself, I hold the spell focus in my shield hand, and I march deeper into the cave. This time, I'm focusing my full attention on watching out for goblins. As I approach the entrance to the main chamber, I see a goblin standing guard. Not seeing a bow, or for that matter the dead body of the archer goblin, I can only assume it's either dead and they took the body, or the archer is alive. Hoping for the former and preparing for the latter, I raise my shield arm and cast Lightning Bolt.
The resultant Lightning Bolt was two things. Deadly, and Loud. Normally it's a semi-loud crackle, but this, this was Thunder plain and simple. The goblin that was previously standing guard, was now nothing but a twitching corpse with a gaping hole in the chest.
Shaking off the momentary shock, I raise my hand once more, and not a moment too soon. As the remaining goblins charge towards me. I grin.
Casting Flamethrower, I feel my Mp flow through me, and out of my palm, watching as a twenty-foot long, white-hot stream of fire pours from my palm, I cackle. I cackle like a mad scientist who just got told his funding was doubled.
Though thoroughly amused at the screaming goblins, I notice the Shaman in the back start preparing a spell. Shit, I need to do something about that. Flamethrower doesn't have the needed range, even with the Spell focus' boost, and I don't have time to stop casting Flamethrower and cast Lightning bolt.
Thinking quickly, I make an incredibly stupid decision.
I throw my axe.
It, unsurprisingly, does no damage, nor does it even hit the Shaman. What it does do, however, is nothing. Absolutely nothing. The Shaman doesn't even flinch. The Shaman does something though.
He completes his spell.
Shit.
All I see is a ray of putrid green energy come flying straight towards me, and I can do is watch as it collides with my torse. The moment it hits, I feel as if my flesh is trying to melt and like I'm rotting from the inside out. Falling to my hands and knees, I'm barely able to rip off my helmet as I start vomiting and vomiting and vomiting and.. You get the picture.
After what feels like an eternity, which was actually only about ten-odd seconds, I'm able to stop retching, but I still feel sick. Grabbing my helmet as I stand up, I re-equip it and looking around, I can't see much. Looks like the smoke from the burning goblins has filled the cave. Choking from the lack of breathable air, I quickly drop down to the ground. Coughing my lungs out, I wait for the smoke to begin to dissipate. Using the momentary lull in battle to check my health, I'm Shocked.
Three-Fourths?! That one spell did two-hundred and twenty-five points of Damage! What the Hell. I can't afford to get hit with another spell like that, I'll die if I do.
Shaking my head, I can't afford to get distracted, now especially. I begin crawling forwards, moving past the now smoldering and charred goblin corpses, I spot the Shaman. It's checking something behind its throne, probably the children. Perfect, it's distracted. Standing up, I charge into the chamber.
I can almost feel the surprise radiating off of the Shaman as it spins around, that spell it hit me with must've been his Hail Mary. I give it no time to respond and I raise my shield arm and cast Lightning Bolt. Twice. Grinning sadistically as it dies, I walk over to its surprising still intact body. Frowning, I quickly curb-stomp its head in. I'm not taking any chances.
Surprised that no notification pops-up after defeating the Shaman, I shrug. Guess I don't get any bonus loot. Retrieving my Axe, from the now mostly smokeless hallway, I return to the Throne. Smashing it aside, that was very satisfying, I see the door to where the goblins keep their offspring.
Opening the door, I hear the pathetic whimpers of the adolescent goblins, and I simply cast Flamethrower.
Man, even when you're evil, the screams of children are unsettling. I don't think I could do that to human children.
Not wanting to think about killing children any further, I look around the now vacant den.
My eyes are quickly drawn to the shape of a chest along the wall. Sweet, loot time.
The chest had a sack of gold coins, which conveniently automatically converted to dollars at a one-to-ten ratio, a couple nice animal hides, three lesser healing potions, six vials of weak poison, and five pouches of different herbs. I'm no herbalist, but I should be able to at least sell them for something. Standing up I set about looting the rest of the cave.
A Notification pops-up as I exit the cave.

Level Up!
Stopping to read over exactly what I got, I'm pleasantly surprised. A Soul Weapon is a weapon that, through means unknown to me, is Forged from my soul, and as such, as I grow stronger, my Soul Weapon will grow more powerful too. I can call my Soul Weapon to me at will, and I can always sense where my weapon is. To say I'm surprised at getting such a rare item this early is an understatement. The System's shop is nice, it seems I can purchase any non-unique items from most video games and anime, there are also items that the game creates available. Also, if I go to a Universe and acquire an item, without buying it, then that item is permanently discounted at the store. A neat little feature.
The last reward I received, the Binding Stones, are interesting items, to say the least. They allow me to bind a willing or defeated creature to me. A bound creature is then considered part of my Faction. Speaking of my Faction, which I didn't even know I had up until now, (or what the hell it is) I've received a notification about it.
Congratulations on defeating your first major adversaries, even if they were only some trash mobs.
But now that you've received the means to (forcibly) add creatures to your Faction, you need to create one!
Creating a Faction requires the following:
A Name for your Faction
A Sigil to Represent your Faction
A Faction can be a Country, Social Group, Guild, Club, Cult, or other Grouping of people that belong to the same organization. You can recruit people into your faction via conventional means, or you can bind creatures to your faction (and you by extension) by using a Binding Stone on them. A bound creature cannot take any actions that would directly negatively affect the organization it is bound to, and the Faction Leader can summon Bound creatures to themself.
Fuck off Game, I don't need your sass, and why wasn't I told about this when all the features were explained?!
...because I wasn't finished making the faction system.
God Damn it, but whatever! I guess.
The System's bullshittery aside, what the hell am I going to name my Faction? And I'm surprised that I haven't received a quest related to my Faction.
Quest Issued!
Thy Kingdom Come
Have a Faction of at least 50 Members [1/50]
Have a Faction Home Base [0/1]
Have your Faction win at least 1 battle against another Faction [0/1]
Reward:
20 Binding Stones, $1 Million, 100,000 Exp, Skill Book: Power Steal
Spoke too soon, and HOLY SHIT at the rewards! But I don't think I'll be able to complete that anytime soon. Ah well, back to making my Faction.
After thinking about a name for a few minutes, I decided on calling my faction The Steel Legion. I may or may not be borrowing from a certain Death World, but that's neither here nor there. As for the Sigil, I think I'll have it be a Grey Skull in front of a pair of crossing Blue Axes, all on a black backdrop.
Anyway, I've been distracted long enough, I distribute my stat points I received from leveling up and re-adjust my grip on the unconscious girl I've been carrying.
Did I forget to mention that? Only one of the Kidnapped girls survived, the rest were, well the goblins apparently don't like their meat cooked. That was some gruesome scenery back there, I'm pretty sure that if I didn't have Gamer's Mind, I'm pretty sure I would've puked my guts up.
Shaking my head clear of those thoughts, I continued back to camp.
Arriving back at camp, I'm surprised when I don't see the Priestess, side note, I should probably get her name at some point. Setting the unconscious girl down, I see that there's a small fire burning with the Martial Artist and the Mage both lying by it, asleep.
Sitting down by the pair, I cast Observe on the both of them. The Martial Artist is level 2 and the Mage is Level 3, wow they really are rookie adventurers. Pulling out a pair of Binding Stones, I set about binding the both of them. They're both really low level, but I'm hoping I can train them using the party system. The Party system gives 'shared' Exp, meaning that I get a fourth of the Exp from my party member's kills, and my party members gain Exp at one-fifth the rate I do. While party members cannot gain skills or stat points like me, they can level up which does increase their stats and it makes them more powerful. And besides, even if I can't turn them into competent fighters, they're both hot.
Chuckling to myself as the Binding Stone disappears, signaling that the binding was a success, I look up as I hear something approaching. Standing up, I look towards the source of the sound and I see the priestess returning. She's not paying attention and has a hollow look on her face, but I do notice that she's carrying a bunch of plants, curious, I speak up.
"Hey, what'cha got there?"
I seemed to have startled her, as her head snapped up at me and she jumped back in fright, letting out a cute "eep". Chuckling, I make room and pat the ground next to me. Watching as she quickly walks over and sits down. In a quiet and weak, almost quivering, voice she speaks up.
"I'm sorry, I didn't see you there."
Patting her back soothingly I reply.
"That's alright, I just got back, where've you been?"
She motions to the plants she was carrying.
"I was out gathering medicinal herbs, for the injured."
Surprised, I respond.
"You're a herbalist? You'll have to teach me a little bit sometime."
"Oh, nothing like that. It's just at the temple where I was taught, every Priestess-in-training learned about basic medicinal herbs, where they grow, and how to pick them. Small things like that. I could teach you what little I know as a small thank you for saving us. It's the least I could do."
It seems now is the perfect time to test how much I can influence a person. Taking off my helmet, I fake a frown and stare into the fire.
"Yea, about that, my services don't come cheap. You and what's left of your party owe me, a lot."
I want to see how much I can squeeze out of her before she breaks. If all ends well, I'll have another Faction member, and if it doesn't? I'll forcibly bind her, she was a main protagonist after all.
Looking at her face I can see the apprehension on her face, she's nervous now, good.
"H-how much do we owe you?"
"About 50 gold pieces."
"F-FIFTY?! W-why's it so much? I only have what you see on me, and I don't think the others have much either…."
"It's so much because, without me, you all would be dead. And, I had to expend most of my mana to save those two, which left me practically empty, when I went back to clear the rest of the nest. "
Locking eyes with the nervous Girl, I cast Charm on her. Well, here goes nothing.
"If you cannot pay with gold, then you'll pay another way."
Her eyes go wide and she opens and closes her mouth several times before she finally finds the courage to speak.
"W-what? H-how else are we supposed to pay?"
Smiling Devilishly, I reach out and lift her chin up, forcing her to meet my eyes.
"I think you already know. Pet"
At the word pet, She recoils and looks at me with a newfound fear.
Lemon Starts. Tags: Reluctant, Rough
"As a matter of fact, I think I'll take my first payment right now"
As she opens her mouth to say something, I harden my stare.
"If the next words out of your pretty little mouth aren't 'Yes Master' or 'Right away Master', then you'd best not say anything at all."
She doesn't move, but I can see the beginnings of tears in her eyes and she's started shaking like a leaf. Aggravated, I frown.
"We can do this the easy way, or the hard way. I don't care which, but I promise you won't enjoy the hard way."
That gets her moving. Watching as she slowly begins to crawl forward, my smile returns. I reach out, grabbing the front of her robes and yank her into my lap.
Chuckling at the frightened yelp she lets out, I close the distance between us, my lips meet hers and I force my tongue past her lips.
Sliding my hands under her robes, I grab her ass and while it's, admittedly, a lot smaller than I'd like, it's surprisingly firm.
Internally smirking at the way she tenses at my wandering hands, I move then up, from her supple ass to her perky B-cup breasts. Slightly surprised at the lack of bra, I then remember that this world is still in the medieval era.
After another few minutes of exploring her body, I hear a small moan. Pulling back, I notice that my pet is breathing heavily and is quite red in the face. Grinning, I chuckle.
"Enjoying yourself Pet?"
Her blushing increases ten-fold at my words. Deciding it's time to move on to the next stage, I unequip my armor, and the clothes underneath.
She gasps at the sudden disappearance of my armor.
"What? Where did your armor..."
She trails off mid-sentence, it seems she's noticed my lower half. If I didn't know better I'd think she was a tomato.
Looking back up at me, I lock eyes and give her a one-word order.
"Strip."
She hesitates, shying away from me. After a moment and a light glare, she slowly begins to remove her robes, and it seems her almost-tears have returned, wonderful.
Just before she pulls her robes over her breasts she hesitates, looking back at me.
I grow tired of waiting, so with a low growl, I quickly reach out a roughly pull her robes the rest of the way off and over her head. All the while she whimpers.
After pulling her robes off, I toss them a little ways away. Looking back at her, I glare at her.
"When I give you an order, you will do it immediately. Hesitation costs you, Pet."
She shrinks in on herself as I berate her. As I pull her back into my lap, she tenses, I roll my eyes.
"Be thankful. This time I'll let you off with a warning, but if there is a next time, and I hope for your sake that there isn't. You will regret it. Am I understood Pet?"
Shaking as she looks up at me, slightly uncurling herself in the process, she quietly replies.
"Y-yes S-sir."
"Good. Now, where were we?"
Turning her around so that her ass pressed up against my stiff member, I grab her left breast in one hand and slowly start snaking my other hand down towards her panties, kissing and biting at her neck all the while.
Upon reaching her panties, I slid my hand underneath the cloth. I'm pleasantly surprised to feel small dampness, and as I begin playing with her pussy, I whisper into her ear.
"Well, Well, isn't this quite the surprise? I was just teasing earlier, but it seems you really are enjoying this quite a bit, aren't you pet?"
My only response from her is a moan. As I begin to finger her, I gently pinch her nipple and whisper.
"I want an answer, Pet."
As she answers me, she, intentionally or not, begins to grind against my hand.
"Neh, y-yes s-sir, I'm-*moan* I-I'm enjoying t-this."
Good girl. And Like all responsible pet owners, I reward my pets with treats when they obey. I'll give my new bitch a bone.
I stop fingering her and remove my hand from her panties, hearing a small whine as I do. Smirking, I remove her from my lap, positioning her on her knees. Standing up, I shove my member in front of her face. Locking eyes with her, I smile as I place my hand on the back of her head.
"Suck." I command.
She's surprisingly quick to obey and takes my member into her mouth with barely concealed gusto. She's unable to take my full length, but she does try her hardest.
After a few minutes of her sucking, it's clear she's not going to be able to make me cum anything tonight. Grunting in frustration, I lock eyes with her, and without warning, I grab a fist full of her hair and slam my hips forward, attempting to thrust my hard cock down into her tight little virgin throat. It takes a few tries, her gagging all the while before finally, I feel my dick slip down her throat.
Looking down at her, I grin sadistically as I see the result of my brutal face-fucking. The long tear-tracks running down the side of her face, only serving to arouse me all the more. Her hands are on the sides of my hips desperately seeking to hold on.
Her cries are muffled by my cock in her throat, and after barely another few seconds, I feel my climax fast approaching.
I pick up the pace, and the intensity, of my face-fucking, and with one last final thrust, I force the entire length of my member down her throat. The first few ropes of my cum go straight into her stomach, but I pull back just enough to fill her mouth instead. After I finish cumming, I pull out and step back, taking a moment to admire my handiwork. Noticing that my pet is about to spit out her treat I speak up.
"All Good Pets love it when they get a treat. You just got yours, do not waste it."
Quickly understanding my words, she closes her mouth and swallows.
"Good Girl."
She hesitates for a moment before speaking up.
"Is t-that all, S-sir?"
"One last thing and then we're done, For now, Pet."
Squatting down, I gently push her onto her back. Smirking victoriously at the visibly wet on her white panties, I had a feeling she'd enjoy the rough treatment, she's a natural submissive after all. Looking back at her face, She doesn't meet my eyes, but I can tell she's beat red. Reaching out I lift her head up to meet my eyes.
"Aww, don't be ashamed Pet, I'm your Master. This should be your reaction."
As I speak, I partially remove her panties. Underneath lies her unspoiled Virgin pussy. After gaging her reaction, I replace her panties, redress myself, and lay down ready to turn in for the night.
Looking back at her, I see she has yet to redress, clearly waiting for my ok to do so. Rolling my eyes, but pleased at her obedience, I motion to the area next to me.
"Put your robes back on and come lie next to me. You've been a very Good Girl tonight."
She nods, looking relieved at my permission to redress, and swiftly lays down next to me.
Wrapping my arm around her, I pull her to my chest and whisper into her ear.
"So good in fact, I'm going to keep you."
Before she responses, I reach down and slip my hand under her robes and panties again, placing it over her pussy.
"This is mine. The only reason while it's still intact right now is that I want you to be able to walk tomorrow without slowing us down."
That's bullshit, the real reason is I don't want to break her yet, and I fear taking her despoiling her now would be too much for her already fragile mine to handle.
Lemon over.
Oh shit, almost forgot. Binding Stones. Bringing out one, I quickly begin binding her.
"This binds you to me, meaning that you are now officially my property. Understand?"
She eyes the now glowing stone as it seemingly melts into her chest before she responds.
"I understand."
"I understand, what?"
"I understand, Master."
"Good Girl."
I praise, as I pat her head. Smirking I look to the Priestess, I remember I still haven't gotten her name, or the other's names either.
"By the way, what's your name? And the names of the other two?"
She looks down before shily responding.
"Oh, I'm Yui, the other two are Shizuka and Kristen."
Nodding as she points to the Martial Artist and Mage respectively, it's nice to know that they don't refer to themselves as 'Priestess' or 'Martial Artist Girl'.
"Alrighty then Yui, I'm Gunmar. Now go to sleep, I'll take the first watch."
I watch as she nods and yawns at the mention of sleep, then she lays down and quickly falls asleep. Nodding to myself, I prepare for a long (hopefully) boring night.
And Thank you to those of you who leave reviews.
For those of you confused as to why Gunmar is in Goblin Slayer instead of RWBY, it's simple he's doing the tutorial. We'll get into RWBY in the next chapter. Also, I don't have a beta so please do forgive the spelling/grammar fuck ups.
Update 3.27.20: Fixed a few minor errors, and the campfire scene between Gunmar and the Priestess.
