Guilt V2

Chapter Four: Fatherhood

The next morning, Ochako awoke early in the hopes to get back to her more normal routine as today would be her last day before returning back to class tomorrow. Despite waking-up with an empty belly, she felt good, alert, almost pain-free, but most importantly she felt at ease.

'Izuku's alright, everything is alright, things are back to normal,' she thought to herself with a smile.

Maybe it was paranoia, maybe it was just the stress of the whole ordeal that she thought things would never be the same again. But she had been wrong, things were looking up, they were safe at UA and their recovery both physically and mentally seemed on the rise.

"Now let's get something to eat and then I can do some light training to make-up for lost time...and maybe I could even work-out with Izuku today," she said to herself as she put on some simple pink slippers to match her casual clothing and began making her way out her room and down to the common area. As she arrived she cast a quick glance at the now-empty couch, before spotting Tsuyu, and the rest of the girls from Class 1-A eating breakfast, or chatting with each.

"Morning girls!" Said Ochako as she made way to the kitchen to make herself a quick bowl of cereal.

"Good morning ribbit!" Tsuyu called back.

"Yeah mornin' Ochako!" Said Mina while waving at her.

"We saved ya a spot here!" Said Tooru pulling out the chair next to her, "we were going to wake you, but Yaomomo wanted to make sure you got plenty of rest!"

"Well Uraraka is still recovering Hagakure!" Momo answered back, with a concerned expression on her face. She and Tenya had both been worried sick about their mutual friends and had taken steps to watch for them. "I just wanted to make sure she got as much rest as she needed!"

Ochako chuckled as took her seat. "I appreciate the thought, but I'm feeling much better thanks to those extra visits to Recovery Girl."

"Well that's good to hear ribbit," Tsuyu added after taking a drink from her cup. The group slowly began to unwind and chatted over their meal, going into more casual conversations and what they kind of lessons they might be in for soon. It was all going well until Mina brought up the topic she had been dying to talk about.

"But, oh my god, did you guys see Midoriya this morning?" Ochako tensed up as Mina squealed his name. "He was soooo cute when we found him snuggled up with Eri on the couch!"

Ochako instantly felt her face burn as she mentally agreed with their residence shipper. Unfortunately her blush only deepened when several of the other girls began giving their own opinions. Heart pounding with a foreign fear, just how interested her fellow ladies of class 1-A seemed to be about the boy she had come to love so much. Almost too interested in him if you asked her.

"Oh my god yes! It was so precious!" Tooru's uniform sleeves indicated she was throwing her hands in the air.

"It was very adorable...They...looked very comfortable," said Momo with a serene look on her face.

"...He did look really cute," Kyouka confessed with her own blush as she added her opinion to the pile.

"What did you think of it Ochako?" Mina looked at her, an evil grin forming on her face.

"U-Uhh.." Ochacko's mind raced as she looked for a way out. All of them staring at her now with a keen curiosity painted on their faces.

Even Tsuyu looked on with some interest, likely knowing the answer but wanting to hear it regardless.

"T-They uh.. were gone once I woke up!" She answered hoping that this answer would satisfy them.

"Oh, that's right.." Momo seemed lost in thought. "I did see him go outside with Eri to train about an hour ago."

"Then again Ochako still has today off, so it's not like she won't see the two later anyways," said Mina slyly.

Ochako ignored her pink friend, instant focusing her attention back to her breakfast into order to avoid answering. She might be secure in her feelings now, but still wasn't ready to announce that publicly just yet. Thankfully for Ochako the conversation returned into more routine topics as the time for everyone else to get to class started to run-out.

"Aw man!" Mina exclaimed after reading a text in from her phone. "There goes our plans for after class."

"What's wrong?" Kyouka asked with a raised eyebrow, while she gathered her dirty plates.

"Bakugou's been in a really bad mood lately," Mina answered while shaking her head. "Everyone else in the squad been kind of worried so Kiri was checking on him, but you know how he gets when he gets asked about his private stuff."

"And here I thought he was finally making good progress since he helped so much out during the cultural festival," Momo said with a sigh, shaking her head.

"What's up his ass now?" Kyouka asked with a raised eye brow. Like Momo, Kyouka had hoped that Katsuki's attitude would have improved since the Cultural Festival and wasn't pleased by this sudden news.

"Knowing Bakugou it would be something as simple like losing at Uno again," said Tooru making Mina laugh. "I swear the one time we played together with Tsu, Kirishima and Ojirou. I thought he was going to blow up when I got him with a Wild Card Switch and left him with too many cards."

"He'll probably calm down in a day or two just like normal," added Ochako offhandedly as she checked her own phone.

"I hope so," Mina sighed, "he's harder to study with when he's like this."

When it was time the ladies of 1-A, save Ochako gathered their things to start making their way toward the main campus. Ochako waved at her friends, with Mina needing to get the last word in before her exit.

"Tell Midoriya we said hiiii!" She teased with a wink before stepping out the door, Ochako's was instantly set it aflame with a raging blush.

"Are you alright Uraraka?" Tenya asked as he finished making his rounds; one of his many self pointed duties as the Class Representative. He could see Ochako's blazing face. "Perhaps you should get more bed rest," he added with one of his trademarked arm chops. "I fear you might be getting a fever!"

"Oh no no Iida!" Ochako quickly deflected, before flexing one of her arms hoping to quell her burning face. "I'm totally fine! Yep! I'm even going to do some light exercise later today like Recovery Girl recommended!"

Tenya seemed hesitant and was about to respond when someone else interrupted their little conversation.

"Just leave Uraraka be Glasses!" Said Katsuki as he made his appearance with Eijirou following. "She doesn't need ya hounding her, cause you feel like you fucked up!"

"That's completely uncalled for Bakugou!" Tenya exclaimed angrily as he did a perfect about-face as his attention turned to the brash ash-blond boy.

"Iida just ignor-" Ochako tried to intervene, but Tenya had already began his rebuttal.

"There is nothing wrong with wanting to check up on my friend!"

"You're treating her like she's weak!" Katsuki retorted with a sneer, "can't you see that she's fine!?"

"She was injured and is still on orders to rest properly! It is my duty is both her friend and Class Representa-"

"Blow it out your ass glasses!" Katsuki interrupted as he made his way toward the exit, while Eijirou mouthed his apologies for Katsuki's rough attitude. Ochako sat there annoyed by Katsuki's antics, while Tenya just sighed seemingly crestfallen by the interaction.

"I do think, I will ever properly understand him," Tenya admitted as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Ochako quickly moved to try and cheer him up.

"If its any consolation Iida, I appreciate you checking up on me!" She said as earnestly as possible, "Yaoyorozu did the same thing when I first came down from my bedroom." She added which did seem to catch Tenya's attention.

"I see...good...I'm glad she followed up on you as well." Tenya answered still sounding down, he checked his watch and saw that time was running short before the first bell. "Well Uraraka, I'm will be making my leave."

"Okay! Have fun!" Ochako chirped, before adding. "And don't let what Bakugou said get to you, I'm happy to have such caring friends looking out for me and everyone else."

That seemed to do the trick for Tenya as a smile grew on his face.

"Indeed, thank you Uraraka," he responded as he made his own to the door. "Oh! And before I forget, keep an eye out on Midoriya please, I was not able to check up on him as he seemed to have gone on to train before I could speak with him."

"I will!"

And with that Tenya exited the dorm, leaving Ochako all alone in dining room to finish her meal and double checking some texts she had received earlier in the girl's group chat. For a couple of minutes Ochako enjoyed a rare amount of peaceful silence of the now empty dorm room, until she something odd. Ochako stopped moving as she looked around, it was faint but she swore that she could hear...laughter? For a moment she thought that someone might have left their television on inside their dorm room -it wouldn't have been the first time something like that would have happened. However Ochako after getting up and leaning toward the stairwell, she discovered that the sound wasn't coming from above, but from outside.

Ochako made her way toward one of the windows to see what was going until she spotted them. Ochako smiled as her eyes saw a sight that made her heart almost melt. It was Eri sitting on Izuku's back, while greenette was currently prone, doing perfect push-ups with his head down, sweat visibly dripping every from this distance into the lush green grass. Eri cheered as she enjoyed riding him like a horse, cheering and whooping as his motions bounced her up and down. Mixing training while still managing to entertain her was just...a classic Izuku move.

'Good lord, this boy is going to be the death of me...' Ochako thought as she began making her way outside to greet them. As she opened to the door to feel the warm autumn sun greeting her, she made her way down the steps and into the side of the dorm to see the two continuing their routine. Ochako slowly made her way towards them, not wanting to move so fast that it could scare one or both of them, the last thing she wanted was Eri to slip and fall off his back and get hurt.

Yet despite her efforts, after a particularly sharp ascent from one of Izuku's push-ups, Eri had began to slip off the side of his back, her shriek displaying more joy than fear. Ochako upon seeing this, moved in rapidly to catch her, yet before she could get there. Izuku suddenly turned to the side, catching the little girl with one arm, pulling her into him as he continued to do push-ups with his one free hand.

Now bouncing on his side, Eri giggled breathlessly, and after a few more moments he set her down so they could take a break. Eri immediately threw herself into his arms again, looking ready to hug the life out of him. He grinned, and with a chuckle that stirred something deep inside Ochako, kissed Eri's horn gently. At that sight, Ochako couldn't stay silent anymore, cooing loudly. Finally noticing her, Izuku jumped back, face reddening.

"Oh, hey U-Uraraka!" His hand subconsciously found the back of his head in his signature nervous tic. "I didn't see you there!"

"I don't think you would've noticed a villain attack, you seemed pretty distracted!" Ochako tried to sound reproachful as a joke, but with the huge smile she wore, she doubted he was buying it. Embarrassment suddenly evaporating, Izuku gave Eri another squeeze, and another quick horn kiss, eliciting a giggle from the younger girl and another coo from the older.

Ochako's heart felt like it was about to burst. 'Can these two be even more cute together?'

Eri was naturally adorable, but the new white dress she would that was topped off with a little red bow in hair made her leagues cuter. Add the equally adorable interactions between the child and Izuku and it was almost too much for her heart to bare. It didn't help Ochako heart, as Izuku finally stood up.

He was completely damp with sweat making his thin workout shirt appear almost nonexistent, and left very little to the imagination. He ran a free hand through the tangled forest he called hair, he looking around, smiling as he appraised the beautiful morning surrounding them. Ochako stared for a few more seconds, trying to preserve this image in her mind for later. She noticed Eri smiling at her, and she returned it, another blush rising to her face.

'I think I'm being a little too obvious lately. It's just getting so hard to resist him.' Even though Ochako had come to not, only accept her feelings for the boy in front of her, but to also want to pursue him. She still believed in the subtle approach and losing track of herself wouldn't be good for anything.

"-raka?" The second half of a question from Izuku snapped her out of her mind.

"Mmm what? Sorry, it's just so pretty out today!" She grinned sheepishly, mimicking Izuku's normal tic, and ran her hand through her own hair. Feeling a bit guilty for not paying attention to Izuku's inquiry.

"I asked if you could watch Eri while I go clean up," said Izuku as he patted Eri's head. Ochako smiled at the thought. The two girls had ready been growing closer for awhile now and it was nice to see that even Izuku didn't mind to place Eri in her care.

"I'd love to!" Ochako punched the air, and Eri quickly mimicked the gesture, giggling. "Me and Eri are overdue for some girl talk anyways." She threw a wink at the little girl, smiling when she elicited a small blush from the unicorn child. Izuku suddenly looked a little apprehensive at the prospect of leaving them alone, but quickly shook his head. The trio made their way back toward the dorm and into the common room, Ochako turned on the TV and tuned to see if there was something she and Eri could watch together as Izuku left them.

Ochako observed from her peripheral vision that Eri staring at Izuku as he made his way upstairs, Ochako settled to leave the TV set to the local news on low volume so she could speak with her.

"You really like him, huh Eri?" Ochako asked with a small smile on her face.

"I love him!" Eri exclaimed, the outburst surprising Ochako, but was happy none the less by the reaction, allowing for Eri to continue speaking."Daddy would do anything for me! He loves me!" Even though he had been gone only a moment, she seemed comforted by the thought of him. Eri looked up and met Ochako's eyes. If the little girl was embarrassed by her feelings, she sure didn't show it. "He's my hero!"

"He's mine too." Ochako replied, unable to stifle a giggle, she tried to sate her curiosity with a follow-up question. "Daddy?"

Finally, Eri blushed, if only just for a second. "He... he saved from.. from you know who."

For a moment, her eyes bright red eyes grew dull and dark, scaring Ochako that she had gone too far with her questions, until Eri's face brightened just as quickly. "He's the nicest person ever! He saved me!"

Ochako rubbed the girl's head, while giving her a prompting look with a slight nod of her head. Eri continued. "After...that day..I was in the hospital's special room. Nobody could see me...because..I was...I was too dangerous." The girl shivered slightly before managing to continue. "He visited me every night. He would sneak in after hours and..." Her blush grew slightly. "...read me stories."

Ochako instantly felt warm.

'That's just like him. Always ready to save someone in need.'

Then a sudden realization quickly snapped her out of her thoughts.

"Wait, every night?" Ochako asked surprised as the girl blushed and nodded. Ochako noted that Eri had been in the hospital for over a month before moving into the dorms.

'No wonder he's been so strung out lately,' she thought was placed two and two together with this revelation. 'That could easily explain why he seems soo out of it...he must just still be tired from everything.'

"When did you start calling him daddy?" Ochako followed up as the two eased into their seats on the couch. Yet Eri seemed overjoyed to share her feelings about Izuku, and Ochako more than happy to listen to her.

"This morning!" She beamed at Ochako's renewed surprise. "We woke up early, before anyone else. I had a nightmare about...him." the girl looked nervous again, and Ochako couldn't help but feel the same way remembering the villain Overhaul.

"When Daddy asked me about my nightmare, and I told him it was about my...dad. He stopped me. Daddy said that 'blood or circumstances doesn't determine parenthood'. She quote with an almost perfect mimicry of Izuku's determined face at genuinely surprised Ochako, yet Eri continued. "Daddy then said that I should only consider someone my parent if they love me unconditionally and...would take care of me."

Ochako couldn't help but start tearing up. Eri smiled, brighter than Ochako thought possible, blinking back her own tears.

"When I said I didn't anyone like that... he said I was wrong! He..." Eri's right hand drifted to her horn. "...kissed me, and said he would love me like a daughter, if I let him."

Ochako didn't know when they had started hugging, but they were completely entwined now, tears running down both their faces. "I know he'll never leave me! So we agreed that I'm his daughter now!" Ochako could hear the pride oozing out Eri's voice at the prospect of being "related" to Izuku.

As the two continued their embrace, Ochako could hear Izuku making his way back down, making her raise her head up, and wiping her tears off both their faces.

"Daddy's back." Ochacko giggled slightly as she whispered in the girls ear. Eri whipped around, spurred by their conversation, and threw herself into Izuku's arms once he got close enough. Ochako smiled at them.

"Any trouble?" Izuku asked he took a seat to her next with Eri now on his lap.

"Nope!" Ochako answered as she rose up from her seat. "I'm just gonna get changed too." She added motioning toward her sleep ware. "When I get back...we'll about maybe doing something all together?"

"Sure!" Izuku chirped with a great big smile. "That sounds great right Eri?"

"Mhm!" Eri hummed with a vigorous nod and a smile plastered on her face.

"Okay then!" Ochako exclaimed as she shot her arm up in the air. "Let's make today great then!"

"Yeah!" Izuku and Eri reply in unison mimicking her trademark arm pump. Ochako gladly made her way back to her dorm room to get ready to spend the day with the two of them, with maybe, just maybe she also had a couple of thoughts about a possible future with all three of them together.

I'm not dead!

I hate how shitty my updating schedule has been and I'm sorry for making you wait for updates my dear readers! The resurgence of COVID-19 in the US has me back on the clock with a lot of mandatory overtime. Add that we've had now six confirmed cases of my fellow employees and I seen had to go into isolation to get tested after being exposed. (Good news I tested negative) My best friend however was not so lucky and has been ill for a while now. (but he has been getting better so there is some good news)

I'm still hard at work on all of my stories, where I have both free time and not completely drained from work, but progress is still slow which just sucks, but there isn't much else I can do, people need their medication. Please remember to follow CDC guidelines, wear face mask and practice social distancing whenever possible so we can end this pandemic as soon as possible.

Stay safe and stay healthy.

With love.
