Chapter 1 The Flashback

Bruce's POV
Tony just announced that we're having a Halloween party. I'm definitely not going to go - not after what happened 16 years ago at my brother's house. I was going to James's house to surprise him, his wife Lily, and their baby, Harry. When I apparated over to Godric's Hollow, I found the door obliterated, the cottage had been through a hurricane, there was rubble everywhere. I cried out, " James, Lily, Harry, is anyone there?" I didn't get an answer, I didn't really expect to get one. I couldn't take it. A dam deep inside me had burst, I broke down into a crying mess. They were gone. James my brother, the person to help me after the full moon. I was - and still am - a monster to society, but James only saw me as his fun-loving little brother. And sweet Lily, she was the older sister I never had. I'm getting weird looks from my teammates. " What?"
" You're crying, dude," Tony replied.
" Bruce, what's wrong?" Both Steve and Natasha asked.
"Nothing, just bad memories," I said wiping my tears away.
