'I know that people are born unequal,' Izuku mentally said as he put on his school uniform.'Even at four years old, I knew that. What society is like.'
As he stepped out of his room a line of maids, butlers, and other servants bowed to him. "Good morning my Prince," they dutifully greeted,
'And that has been my handicap,"' he thought as he walked down the lavish hall of the palace he lived in.
'It all began in Kiev,' Izuku thought as he walked down the Hall of Conquests, the walls lined with portraits depicting his father's victories.
'My father Shigaraki, or as he now calls himself, All for One; a cruel joke, as everyone lives to serve him,' Izuku sighed as he passed a painting of his father standing over a destroyed White House. 'About one hundred years ago, he had finally amassed enough money, information, and quirks to take over the world,' Izuku looked at a large art piece that showed All for One striking down 'Heroes'.
'Of course people didn't just roll over,' Izuku snorted as he stepped outside. 'There were so many people who tried to stop him, except they had all made critical errors.'
'They had never accounted for someone who was immortal, which is why he's been ruling for so long; he had decades of experience and training on everyone. Nor did they conceive that he had a power so great, he could steal their powers from them. It was not even temporary, once he took it, it was his. All for One,' Izuku sighed as people in the streets bowed as he walked past them.
'So you might be wondering, what my power might be, if my father is so great,' Izuku chuckled. 'Truth is, I don't have one. I am what is called, quirkless. Whether it was because I was born without one or dad took mine from me, he said I will get my quirk, when I am ready for it.'
'Does that leave me defenseless?' Izuku thought as he stopped behind a crowd to see a fight between a large shark headed man and another sprouting wood from his arms.
'One could argue, yes, it would, but my father is so confident in his rule he allows me freedom to go about my days without powers of my own, and without guards. For years he has been right, no one has made attempts on my life. Possibly because killing me has no benefits, and would only serve to have harsh punishments brought down those responsible.'
Izuku watched as in the distance a massive woman barreled towards the shark man. 'Also because in this world, those with strong or useful quirks join my father's army as his soldiers, peace-keepers, gestapo, whatever you want to call them. They uphold the laws, maintain order and dispense justice.'
"CANYON CANNON!" Mount Lady shouted as she drop-kicked the criminal, knocking him out. "Thank you, thank you." She posed for the cameras. "I am Mount Lady, it's a pleasure to meet you all," she said as she looked around the crowd. Stopping as she saw a face in the back of the crowd. "Oh a thousand apologies my Prince." She bowed, alerting the crowd to Izuku's presence who all bowed along with her.
"Please, stand up, I do not want to disrupt anyone's day, I just need to get to school," Izuku said as he smiled at the crowd. Izuku was always a nervous boy, never sure how to act among the people. He was royalty, his father the ruler of the world, everyone he met was his subject, beneath him.
This has led him to having very odd relationships with others. He was beloved by all, partly because no one was allowed to dislike him. He was never bullied (who would be dumb enough to do so?), when the strongest people in the world would heed his every whim.
"And your lessons begin soon." Mount Lady realized the prince might be late because he had to wait for the fight to end. "Please, your highness, let me take you to your school," she offered as she lowered her hand to the ground in front of him.
Preferring not to cause any issues, and because this young lady seemed very eager to help, Izuku nodded and stepped onto her palm. With a massive smile, not just due to her large size, she quickly placed Izuku in the cleavage of her skin-tight, spandex suit as she walked towards his school, leaving the villain tied up for the police to take away.
This was also not uncommon, people doing things for him because of the benefits they could get because of who he was. He had forgotten to bring a pencil to school one day, so his principal canceled an exam to not make the prince have to borrow one from another student. When it came to lines, he never waited. He had walked into a restaurant to use their bathroom and when he came out they had a table waiting for him. He wasn't even hungry, but he could see how much the people were trying to look good for him, so he stayed to eat.
This has created a few issues with how he speaks and what he says, so as to not allow others to infer some other meaning behind his words. Such as right now, as Izuku sat, red faced, on the soft, pillowy breasts of a new soldier. "Am I soft and to your liking sire?" Mount Lady asked sultrily.
However Izuku could hear a hint of worry in her tone, as with one comment, her entire career (and her life, if he chose it) would be over forever. Izuku did always hate that, when people feared him. Sighing, Izuku looked up at her expectant face. "Yes, your breasts are magnificent, as is your quirk and dedication to helping," Izuku stated, using his 'official' voice, something he made sure to work on for public appearance and the press.
Barely containing her enthusiasm and relief that she was doing a good job, she knelt and placed Izuku on the ground outside his public junior high. "It has been an honor to serve you, your highness."
"I thank you, and wish you well." Izuku nodded to the woman who quickly left, so as not to overstay her welcome.
"Fucking Deku," Katsuki hissed as he watched the interaction.
"Oh, hello Bakugou." Izuku waved to his classmate and one of the few people he had respect for. For a few reasons.
"Tch." Katsuki clicked his tongue as he stomped into the building.
Katsuki was one of the few people to say to his face he didn't like him and why he didn't like him. Katsuki hated that Izuku was born weak and yet had more power than everyone else on the planet, barring his father. Where as he was strong, powerful and with an amazing quirk.
As the day progressed Izuku spent much of his free time writing in his notebook, about his day, quirks he saw, potential uses. Sometimes he would tell his father about a particularly interesting one, that person might later join the ranks or the next time he saw them, they were quirkless. So Izuku hadn't noticed anything strange until his class started cheering, apparently the teacher had talked about their career aptitude tests they had done.
Of course for Izuku, that was Prince. But as he listened to the teacher talk about how they all wanted to be soldiers, he managed a small smirk at the thought that this conversation was likely happening all across the world in various schools.
"Don't lump me in with all of those extras," Bakugo shouted. "I'm going to U.A., I'm going to be the best," he declared.
"Tch." a few student's snickered. "You think his highness would let him get into that school with how he acts," someone said as they pointed towards Izuku, who was barely paying attention.
"What, me? No, I wouldn't interfere, that wouldn't be right," Izuku quickly denied, not wanting people to think he would mess up their chances at getting a job.
Katsuki bit his tongue to stop him from cursing out the Prince. He growled and glared out the window for the remainder of class.
Meanwhile on the other side of town, a team of heroes was chasing after a thief.
"Where's he headed now?" Tiger asked into his headset.
"He just turned down an alley," Ragdoll informed as she tracked the slime man with her quirk.
Madalay began relaying instructions to civilians to stay out of the way of her team while they worked. Normally they didn't operate in cities, but each year they had to hit a certain quota of criminal captures to maintain their licenses, or else they could be demoted or outright discharged from the service. So now they were trying to get some captures before the year hit the summer months, which would be when they were at their busiest handling issues outside the cities.
Ragdoll called out over her headset. "He's gone into the sewer."
"Going down," Pixie-Bob declared as she moved the ground beneath her to get below the streets.
"What am I going to do, I don't really have any ambitions." Izuku sighed as he walked home, taking a longer way that avoided more people since it allowed him time to himself to think. He was so in his thoughts he didn't hear the sound of a manhole cover moving behind him.
'A perfect disguise,' the slime villain thought as he lunged at the person who had his back to him.
"What the-" Izuku tried to shout but only felt slime forcing its way down his throat.
"Don't struggle and it will be all over soon enough, just have to get those organs of yours out of the way," the slime villain grunted as he tried to fill the body he held.
"Surrender villain, before I-" Pixie-Bob declared as she jumped out of the sewer. "Oh shit," she exclaimed as she saw who the villain was attacking. Slamming her paws on the ground, a deep fissure opened up underneath the slime, while spikes of earth jutted out to prevent Izuku from falling, as gravity wrenched the criminal deep underground. With a sickening splat, the ground closed up, killing the villain from the pressure of the earth crushing him.
"Oh god" Pixie-Bob worried as she laid Izuku on the ground. Reaching up to her headset she pressed the button on the side. "Shit, you all have to get here, this is really bad," she quickly said.
"What, did he get away? Take a hostage?" Mandalay guessed, needing more information.
"He tried. He attacked the prince and he's not breathing, what do I do?" Pixie-Bob shouted.
"Fucking serious?" Tiger swore.
"We're coming to you now," Mandalay promised.
"Check inside his mouth, is there any blockage?" Ragdoll asked as the other three members of the team barreled through the streets.
Gently tilting his head back Pixie-Bob looked down his throat. "No, I don't see anything," she answered.
"Does he have a pulse?"
"Yes," Pixie-Bob replied, her tone close to panic.
"Then give him rescue breaths," Ragdoll commanded.
"But this is the prince," Pixie-Bob gasped.
"He'll be dead if he doesn't start breathing soon, and then what do you think will happen?!" Mandalay shouted.
"Right," Pixie-Bob gulped as she looked at the unconscious teen. "Here goes," she said as she placed her lips on his.
Before she could even exhale, Izuku's eyes shot open and he started to gasp for air.
"Your highness," Pixie-Bob exclaimed, quickly backed away and kneeled on the ground as Izuku rolled over and hacked up some slime that had gone further into his airways. "I, you see it's-" she stammered, unsure how to explain the situation if he didn't remember getting attacked.
"What happened," Izuku asked as he wiped his bottom lip free of spit.
The other three members of the Wild Wild Pussycats landed on the ground, surveying the area before kneeling towards the Prince. "Sire, we apologize. We had been pursuing a criminal and he had been eluding us," Mandalay spoke up as she was the leader of the team and hoped that being honest would prevent them from being punished too harshly.
"So he just happened to come across me?" Izuku asked as he slowly stood up on shaky legs. He saw the four soldiers nod their heads. "And where is he now?"
"I opened up a crack in the ground and crushed him. He is likely dead now," Pixie-Bob answered.
"Oh, well it's probably a quicker and less painful death than my father would have given him." Izuku adjusted his clothes. "Uh, thank you." Izuku bowed to the four. "I would have likely died if you hadn't intervened."
"Are you perhaps heading home your highness?" Mandalay inquired.
"Yes, I was on my way home," Izuku answered as he started to gather his backpack.
"We will escort you, if that is alright. You have been attacked once already today, we do not want to chance another," Mandalay said. "Besides, you are likely in shock."
Izuku nodded, as he didn't particularly feel all that great after nearly dying, and so agreed that being escorted back to the palace would be a good idea. As they passed through the streets, citizens bowed before they noticed the disheveled look of the prince, after which they hurried to get home and out of sight to avoid any trouble that could be related to the fact.
As they approached the palace the guards shared a look of worry, seeing the state that Izuku was in, but opened the gate nonetheless. As they walked through the massive gardens and into the luxurious palace, the Wild Wild Pussycats became a bit more nervous as well. Izuku hadn't dismissed them and it seemed they would now be having an audience with All for One about the incident. They hoped it would result in them keeping their quirks.
The throne room was massive, well lit and eerily quiet as the prince entered, anyone who had business with All for One silenced themselves as they parted to allow Izuku to pass them.
"Son," All for One stood as he watched his son approached. "Why do you come here in such a state?" the tyrant asked.
"I was attacked, father," Izuku answered as he approached his dad. The crowd gasped as they heard the explanation.
All for One looked down at the Wild Wild Pussycats. "And are these the ones who attacked you?"
"No father, they rescued me, had they not gotten there in time, I would likely be dead." Izuku shook his head.
The four soldiers, relaxed greatly hearing the prince defend them. All for One looked around the room. "All of you will leave," he commanded. "Except you four," he pointed to the Wild Wild Pussycats, who froze in place.
Once the chamber cleared of all but the tyrant, his son and the four worried adults, All for One stepped towards them menacingly. "So, what became of this person who attacked my son," he demanded.
"Dead my liege." Pixie-Bob gulped. "I opened the earth beneath to swallow him whole and crushed him."
"And did you not think that I should be the one to dispense justice in this case?" All for One glared.
"Sire, I acted to get your son away from the danger as quickly as I could, I meant no disrespect," Pixie-Bob spat out quickly as she tried and failed to not shake in place.
"Dad, knock it off, she protected me because I couldn't protect myself," Izuku said as he stepped in between his father and the nervous soldiers. "This wouldn't have happened if I could defend myself."
"So what would you have me do," All for One spat as he grit his teeth in a snarl.
"Give me a quirk of my own, and have someone teach me to fight." Izuku folded his arms.
"And who would you have train you?" All for One scoffed.
"These four are clearly competent, I do not see why they could not do so." Izuku gestured to the people behind him.
"Hmm, so you wish to reward them with more service then." All for One quirked an eyebrow.
"We would be honored to serve the crown," Mandalay quickly said, hoping that backing up the prince would end favorably for them.
"Interesting." All for One tapped his chin. "Very well, if you are so certain, then it's not just yourself you must protect Izuku," he said. "When you have power you have an obligation, they understand it, I understand it, do you?"
"If I have a quirk, I will need to use it responsibly," Izuku nodded. "I will take this quirk, I will attend U.A. and I will prove I have the skills necessary to do so father," Izuku adamantly stated.
"Very well." All for One grinned as he placed his hands on his son's head. "There is no going back now," he chuckled as he forced a quirk onto his son, the first of many.
