So I decided to just start this story on a whim. I'd been planning to write a My Hero Academia story for a while now, but I've kept putting it off, hoping to start it once I finished another one of my stories. But with all the stresses of college and work lately, and all the BS with the coronavirus, I've run into a lack of enthusiasm and motivation to do any sort of writing for my other stories. So I'm hoping that writing this will get the creative juices flowing once again. But, I want to make one thing crystal clear right off the bat, this fic will be updated very infrequently for the time being. I have five other stories I'm currently working on and I want to focus on those ones more right now. I hope you all understand and can be patient with me, new chapters will come eventually. For those of you who are familiar with my other stories, this fic will be following the original My Hero Academia story, but with my own twist on various events. And as with most of my other stories, this will be a harem fic with lemons as well. Here's a current list of all the girls that will be in Izuku's harem:

1. Ochaco Uraraka

2. Tsuyu Asui

3. Momo Yaoyorozu

4. Mina Ashido

5. Kyoka Jiro

6. Itsuka Kendo

7. Himiko Toga (Don't worry, I'm not just going to simply make her a hero out of the blue)

8. Camie Utsushimi

9. Mei Hatsume

10. Melissa Shield

11. Nejire Hado.

I'm willing to add a few more girls, like Midnight, Mt. Lady, and Rumi Usagiyama. But for right now I'm going to hold off on adding them officially. If you want any other girls added that weren't mentioned, then please let me know in a review or PM, but you'll also have to give me a legitimate reason for the girl to be added to the harem, not just that she's hot. Also, just so you all know, I have nothing against Toru Hagakure, it's just that it'd be a little awkward writing any romantic scenes with a character that is invisible. So for now, she's not going to be in the harem. Also, one more thing you all should know, in this story UA is going to a university, not a high school. That way it won't be a bunch of high schoolers having sex, and personally I just think it makes more sense for them to start hero training when they're in college. Well, that's all I wanted to say, so let's get to the fic!

Quirk

Disclaimer: I don't own My Hero Academia, or any of its characters.

"I hate to break it to you kid, but there's no hope for you." The elderly doctor said with a grunt as he slumped down into his chair. He didn't seemed fazed at all as he watched practically all the dreams of the young boy in front of him shatter to pieces. "I know this might be hard to hear, but it's the truth."

"No! You must have made some sort of mistake!" Inko Midoriya exclaimed, wrapping an arm around her son's shoulder. She felt a pang of sadness, and a hint of anger, when she noticed that he was shaking uncontrollably, tightly gripping his knees. "All the other kids in his kindergarten class have started to show signs of their quirks...but for some reason Izuku..." Inko trailed off as she glanced down at her son, shock and disbelief visible on his face. He had even dropped his All Might action figure, something he played with every day and brought with him everywhere. "Please doctor...there has to be something you missed...there just has to be...are there any tests you can run?"

"I know this may seem out of nowhere ma'am, but you're a fourth-generation, correct? As far as quirks go, I mean..." The doctor asked, ignoring Inko's own question, as he adjusted his goggles and leaned back in his chair.

"Yes, of course..." Inko replied in a frustrated tone, using her quirk to pick up the action figure her son had dropped onto the floor. "I can pull small objects towards me...and my husband can breathe fire..."

"I see..." The doctor muttered as gestured towards an x-ray image of Izuku's left foot. "Well, by age four a child should begin to manifest either one of their parents' quirks or some sort of combination of them...there is one very important thing that early quirk research discovered..." Standing up, the doctor pointed towards Izuku's pinky toe on the x-ray. "It has to do with the presence or absence of an extra joint in the pinky toe. We humans have no need for parts we don't use, you see. And those without the joint represent the next stage of human evolution." Inko's grip on Izuku's shoulder tightened ever so slightly, knowing what the doctor was about to say. The young boy was shaking worse than before, tears forming in the corners of his eyes. "Izuku has two joints...it's something that is becoming very rare these days...but he possesses no quirk at all."

That was it, everything the doctor had said came crashing down on Izuku all at once. Unable to hold back any more, tears began to pour from the young boy's eyes, his sobs filling the small room. All his dreams of being a pro-hero, one as amazing and inspiring as All Might, were dashed in an instant. Inko's heart broke as she watched Izuku tightly grip his shirt, his tears falling onto the floor. Not knowing what else to do, Inko politely thanked the doctor and carried her son out of the room. During the car ride home, it was dead silent, the only sounds came from Izuku's occasional sniffles. Inko wanted nothing more than to comfort her son and ease his pain, but she didn't know what to say. Once they arrived back at their apartment, Inko tried to console Izuku, but he just silently walked to his room, closing the door behind him. Deciding to give Izuku some space, Inko began to prepare dinner. After the meal was prepared, Inko went to get her son, but she stopped when she heard familiar sounds coming from his room. Cracking the door open, Inko peered inside and saw that the lights were off, the only illumination in the room was coming from Izuku's computer monitor. Slowly approaching the chair she knew Izuku was sitting in, Inko saw that the video of All Might her son had watched a hundred times before was playing. Suddenly the video paused and Inko knew that Izuku had finally noticed her.

"Hey, mom..." Izuku said in a trembling voice, tears once again forming in his eyes as he stared at the frozen image of All Might, a large smile frozen on his face. "No matter what kind of trouble you're in...he'll always save you with a smile..." Turning around in his chair, Izuku locked eyes with his mother, tears pouring down his cheeks as he pointed towards All Might. "A super cool hero like that...that's what I want to be...I can still be a hero, right?"

"Oh, Izuku!" Inko cried as she lunged forward and hugged her son, her own tears falling from her eyes, feeling like she had failed her child. "I'm sorry, Izuku! I'm so sorry!"

(Two Weeks Later)

It had been two weeks since Inko had taken Izuku to the doctor's office and his mood hadn't improved much since then. The young boy still looked utterly depressed and would barely say a word, and when he did speak his voice was usually barely above a whisper and filled with sadness. He had spent most of the past two weeks cooped up in his room, only coming out to eat and use the bathroom. It pained Inko to see her son so upset for such a long time, but she didn't know how to make him feel better. Taking a shot in the dark, Inko decided to take Izuku to the park one day. She hoped that playing with the other kids and some fresh air would brighten his mood if only a little bit. When they arrived at the nearby park, Inko smiled when she saw that a bunch of kids were already playing, some of Izuku's friends were among them.

"Look Izuku, I see some of your friends over there by the playground." Inko said cheerfully, resting a hand on her son's shoulder and pointing toward the group of children. "Why don't you go say hi to them. I'm sure they'd love it if you joined them!"

"It looks like they're all having fun with their quirks..." Izuku muttered as he stared at the other kids, a hit of jealousy in his voice as he watched some of them use their quirks in whatever game they were playing. "I doubt they'd want a quirkless loser playing with them."

"Izuku, you-"

"It's fine mom, you don't have to say anything." Izuku cut his mother off and opened the car door, hopping out and walking towards the playground. Inko released a heavy sigh as she watched Izuku walk passed all the other kids and sit on the swings by himself. Grabbing her purse, Inko stepped out of her car and walked towards a nearby bench. Sitting down on the bench, Inko could only watch as her son silently sat on the swing, completely ignoring all the smiling kids that constantly ran passed him. After almost an hour of this, Inko was about ready to call her plan a bust and take Izuku back home. However, her hopes were lifted when a little girl suddenly walked up to Izuku. The little girl looked to be about Izuku's age and had shoulder-length brown hair, which was bobbed and curved inwards at the ends, with two longer clumps taking the same shape on either side of her face, and short bangs that reached roughly a quarter of the way down her forehead. She was also fair-skinned with what appeared to be a perpetual blush on her cheeks. Her eyes were also large and round, with warm brown irises.

"Hey, hey, why are you sitting here by all yourself?" A small girl asked Izuku in a bubbly tone, her eyes full of curiosity as she stared at him. Stepping even closer, the girl stood right next to Izuku, causing his face to turn red in embarrassment. "You aren't even swinging, what's up with that? Are you sick or something? Do you not know how to swing?"

"No...nothing like that..." Izuku muttered, his grip on the swing's chains tightening. "I...I just don't feel like playing right now..."

"What!? You don't feel like playing!?" The girl exclaimed in bewilderment, before climbing up onto the swing next to Izuku. Kicking her legs, the girl began to swing back and forth, a large smile on her face. "Now I know you're sick! Why would you come to the park if you don't wanna play?! That doesn't make any sense!"

"Listen...I'm sorry, but could you please just leave me alone..." Izuku said, turning his head away from the girl and staring at the ground. "I just want to be myself..."

"Oh..." The girl said in a surprised tone as she stopped swinging. She stared at Izuku for a few moments, before hopping off the swing. "You just looked lonely sitting here by yourself, I thought you might want someone to play with...sorry for bothering you...I hope you feel better..."

"Come on Izuku..." Inko thought, watching the little girl walk away from her son. "Don't just let her walk away like that. She was trying to be nice to you." Inko's face lit up when she saw Izuku suddenly hop off the swing and chase after the girl. "There you go! Introduce yourself, make a new friend!"

"Wait! Hold up!" Izuku called out as he chased after the brown-haired girl. Catching up to her, Izuku reached out and grabbed her hand. "I'm sorry about what I said earlier! That was really nice...and I'd love to play with you!"

"Really!?" The girl exclaimed, her eyes brightening as a massive smile spread across her face. "You mean it!?"

"Sure, what did you want to play?" Izuku asked as he let go of the girl's hand. "Want to play tag, or hide-and-seek, or-"

"I want to play catch!" The girl proclaimed, before running over to a small bag nearby and digging through it. A few moments later, the girl returned with a small red and pink ball. "I just got this new ball and I want to play with it."

"Okay, that sounds like fun..." Izuku said with a small smile, the first smile he'd shown in almost two weeks. Stepping closer, Izuku extended his hand towards the girl. "My name's Izuku Midoryia by the way, nice to meet you."

"My name's Ochaco Uraraka!" The girl exclaimed as her smile widened, energetically shaking Izuku's hand. As Izuku shook Ochaco's hand, he couldn't help but notice what appeared to be pads on the ends of her fingers, similar to dog or cat's paw. He thought it was odd at first but quickly dismissed it. "Let's be friends, Izuku!"

"Well, it seems like our kids are hitting it off nicely!" Inko nearly leaped off the bench when a voice suddenly boomed behind her. Whipping around, Inko saw a middle-aged man smiling at her. "Oh, sorry if I scared ya! That little girl over there is my daughter, Ochaco! I saw you watching those two, so I figured you were that boy's mother."

"Yeah, that's my son Izuku." Inko said as she let out a short breath, trying to calm her racing heart. "He's been feeling pretty down lately, so I hoped taking him to the park would cheer him up a bit."

"A young kid like that, what's he got to be upset about?" Ochaco's father asked, noticing Inko tense slightly at the question. Having seen something similar happen with his wife, he released a light sigh and sat down on the bench next to Inko. "I may not be the best conversationalist, but I am a good listener...so if you've got something on your mind, I'll gladly lend you my ear."

"Well..." Inko muttered as she tightly gripped the fabric of her pants. After a few moments of thought, she eased up slightly and her shoulders untensed. "I guess it couldn't hurt to talk about it..."

"Hey Izuku, why were you sitting on that swing by yourself?" Ochaco asked, tossing the ball to the green-haired boy. "If you don't wanna talk about it, that's fine."

"It's just...I got some really bad news recently..." Izuku replied before he caught the ball and tossed it back to Ochaco. "I need some time to get over it...I'll be fine though...thanks for worrying about me, Ochaco."

"Okay...that's good to hear..." Ochaco said, catching the ball and staring down at it for several moments. Wanting to make their game of catch a little more lively and fun, Ochaco decided to show Izuku how her quirk worked. "Hey, Izuku wanna see something cool!?" Izuku watched as Ochaco grabbed the ball with both hands, the pads on her fingers beginning to faintly glow pink. With a bright grin, Ochaco tossed the ball to Izuku, purposefully throwing it low to the ground. Izuku was shocked when the ball began to rise up, instead of hitting the ground. "My quirk can make things I touch unaffected by gravity! It's super cool, right?!"

"She has a quirk too..." Izuku thought as he caught the ball, feeling it trying to rise up out of his hands. "Of course she does, she's not some quirkless nobody like me..." Feeling a familiar pang of jealousy bubble up inside him, Izuku suddenly felt a wave of anger fill his entire body. "It's not fair! Why did I have to born without a quirk?! Why did this have to happen to me!? All I wanted was to be a hero and save people!" Growling in frustration, Izuku cocked his arm back and threw the ball as hard as he could. The small ball went flying passed Ochaco, floating higher and higher into the air. Both children watched as the ball ascended into the air, passing the nearby trees. "Oh shoot, I forgot about her quirk!"

"It's okay Izuku, I can deactivate my quirk real easily!" Ochaco said, pressing her fingers together, a similar pink glow enveloping her hands. Moments later, the ball began to fall towards the ground, no longer affected by Ochaco's quirk. "Don't worry, I'll get the ball! It was just a bad throw!"

"No, I was acting like a jerk..." Izuku thought as he clenched his fists tightly and stared down at his feet, immediately feeling guilty for his outburst. "Ochaco is just trying to cheer me up, I shouldn't feel jealous because she has a quirk. I should-" Izuku was pulled from his thoughts when he suddenly heard the sounds of screeching tires. Looking up, Izuku's eyes widened in horror when he saw that Ochaco was chasing her ball right into the street, a car barreling towards her. "Oh no, she's going to get hit! What should I do?! What would All Might do!?"

Without a second thought, Izuku took off running towards Ochaco, his body seemingly moving on its own. By now Ochaco had managed to catch her ball, but she didn't seem to realize that she was standing in the middle of the street, unaware of the immense danger she was currently in. Then suddenly timed seemed to slow down as Ochacho felt someone shove her. Regaining her footing and spinning around, her eyes widened when she that it was Izuku who had pushed her. But before she could even react, the young boy was hit by a speeding car, exactly where she had been standing a second earlier. The car came to a screeching stop, but the impact still sent Izuku flying several feet, his motionless body lying in the street as blood began to pool around him. Ochaco slowly approached Izuku's limp form, tightly hugging her ball as she stared down at him.

"I-Izuku...a-are you okay..." Ochaco asked in a quiet voice as she reached down and gently shook Izuku's shoulder. When Ochaco received no response, she immediately began to panic, fearing that her new friend might be in trouble. "Izuku! Hey, Izuku! Please say something!" Falling down onto her knees, tears began to pour from Ochaco's eyes as she continued to shake Izuku, hoping to get any sort of response out of him. Not knowing what else to do, Ochaco did the only thing a child like her could. "DADDY! DADDY, PLEASE HELP!"

"That was Ochaco." Her father said in a worried tone, bolting out of his seat. Quickly scanning around, he noticed that kids weren't anywhere in sight. "Where did they go?!"

"Oh my god, where's Izuku..." Inko asked as she got off the bench and frantically looked around for her son, worrying that he may have gotten himself in trouble. "We have to find them!"

"He was with Ochaco, so if we find her, we'll probably find Izuku too!"

Both parents took off running in the direction of Ochaco's screams. By the time they found Ochaco, a small crowd had already gathered around her, many of them on the phone trying to call an ambulance. Inko felt her heart stop when she saw the scene before her. There was a car stopped in the street several feet away, skid marks on the road behind it. Ochaco was kneeling on the ground, tears streaming down her face and blood covering her hands and legs. That blood seemingly belonged to her son, who was lying face down on the pavement, his body unmoving. All the color drained from Inko's face as the reality of the situation began to finally settle in. Inko let out a bloodcurdling scream as she collapsed to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably.

"NO! NOT MY BABY! NOT MY IZUKU!" Inko cried as she crawled over to her son's side and cradled him in her arms. "PLEASE, THIS CAN'T BE REAL! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!"

Just then the sounds of screeching tires filled the air, followed closely by wailing sirens. Whipping her head around, the gathered crowd saw that the car that had hit Izuku was trying to make a getaway. But the car didn't make it twenty feet before something, or rather someone smashed into the hood.

"HAHAHA! There's no need to fear, for I am-" All Might cut his catchphrase short when he saw the scene he had stumbled upon. He had been chasing a fleeing criminal for some time now, but he had briefly lost sight of him. It only took the number one hero a few seconds to understand what had happened and realize that he had been too late to stop the criminal from doing any further harm. When All Might saw a mother clutching her bloodied son, he was filled with an intense and uncharacteristic rage. After ripping the car's door off, All Might yanked the driver out of the seat. The criminal instantly began to panic when he saw the anger in All Might's piercing blue eyes. "You bastard, you'll be spending the rest of your life in prison for what you did to that poor boy!"

Cocking his fist back, All Might knocked the criminal unconscious with a single, powerful punch, before roughly tossing him back into the driver seat. Taking a deep breath to calm himself, All Might walked over towards the injured child and his mother. The young girl next to them seemed to be fine physically but was definitely experiencing some emotional trauma. Turning his attention towards the grieving mother, All Might saw that the boy's condition was far worse than he could have imagined. He was covered head to toe in cuts and lacerations and appeared to have several broken bones. His breathing was labored and weak, which was the only sign that he was still alive. All Might knew the young boy would likely die within minutes if he didn't receive immediate medical attention. He knew that ambulances were likely on the way, but they wouldn't be fast enough. So, All Might made a decision that would end up changing both his and the young boy's life forever.

"Ma'am, would mind if I checked something?" All Might asked, placing a comforting hand on Inko's shoulder. Gasping in shock, Inko was so absorbed in holding Izuku, that she hadn't even realized that All Might had arrived. "Please ma'am, I want to help your son. So if it's okay with you, may I check something?" Inko stared at All Might for what felt like an eternity, tears still pouring from her eyes. But eventually, she reluctantly nodded her head and gently handed Izuku over to All Might. Pressing his ear against the boy's chest, All Might was relieved when he heard a faint heartbeat. "Ma'am, your boy's heart is still beating, but he needs help fast. With your permission, I'll rush him to the hospital, I'll get him there faster than an ambulance could."

"Please..." Inko said barely above a whisper as she choked back a sob, before gripping All Might's pant leg. "Please I beg you, All Might! Please save my son!"

"You have my word." All Might said, clutching Izuku tightly before he leaped into the air, covering almost three blocks in a single bound. After a few more jumps, All Might had made into the city and switched to leaping from rooftop to rooftop. The number one hero went at full speed, only stopping occasionally to check on Izuku and make sure he was still breathing. In a matter of minutes, All Might landed at the hospital's entrance and rushed through the front doors. "Please anybody, this young boy needs help right now!"

In an instant, All Might was surrounded by almost a dozen doctors and nurses. A gurney was quickly brought over and All Might gently placed Izuku down onto it. Once Izuku was secured, he was wheeled away towards an operating room, leaving All Might standing in the lobby by himself. Taking a deep breath, All Might stared down at his blood-stained hands, before tightly clenching his fists. Searching for a restroom, All Might scrubbed the blood off his arms and stared at his reflection in the mirror. Growling in frustration, All Might punched the mirror, blowing a hole clear through the wall. Because he had lost sight of that criminal a young boy was seriously injured and could possibly die, it made him feel like an utter failure. It was his job to protect innocent people, but he couldn't even keep a child safe. Panting slightly, All Might exited the restroom and plopped down onto a seat in the lobby, feeling all eyes present on him. He could just leave and go out on patrol again, but his conscience wouldn't let him. He had promised the boy's mother that he would save her son, he couldn't just walk out on them now. For better or for worse he was seeing this through till the end. After about twenty minutes of waiting Inko burst into the lobby and rushed over to the front desk, frantically asking the receptionist where her son was. Despite her desperate pleas, Inko wasn't allowed to see Izuku because he was currently being prepped for surgery. All she could do was wait and hope the doctors could save her son. Barely choking back sobs, Inko walked over and sat down a few seats away from All Might. Almost immediately Inko broke down, hiding her face in her hands as she cried uncontrollably. Hearing Inko's sobs filled All Might with an immense sense of guilt, making his failure feel even more apparent. Standing up out of his seat, All Might stood in front of Inko.

"Ma'am I'm so sorry this happened to your son. If I had just been a little bit faster or hadn't lost sight of that criminal, then maybe-"

"Don't do that..." Inko said as she slowly shook her head, sniffling a few times as she wiped the tears from her eyes. "Please don't blame yourself for what happened to Izuku." When Inko looked up at All Might, he saw that her eyes were red and her face tear-stained. "My son looked up to you more than anyone else in the world. You were what he wanted to be when he grew up. All he ever dreamed about was being an amazing hero like you. It would kill him inside if he saw you like this. A hero that saves everyone with a smile, that's how he saw you and that's the type of hero he wanted to be."

"Maybe she's right..." All Might thought, before sitting back down next to Inko. "If you don't mind me asking ma'am, how did this happen? Why was your son in the street like that?"

"My name's Inko, so please stop calling me ma'am, it's too formal..." Inko said with a small smile before she released a heavy sigh. "To be honest I don't know how Izuku ended up where he was. One minute he was playing catch with a new friend and then the next...this happened. I was so caught up with talking to that little girl's father...that I just lost sight of the kids. Even though I didn't see it, I think I know what happened...somehow the ball they were playing with got passed that little girl and she chased after it...right into the street...she probably didn't even notice the car was coming..." Inko was sniffling once again, tears forming in her eyes. "Izuku...he wanted to save her...so her pushed her out of the way...he took the hit for her..."

"Why would that young boy do something so reckless?" All Might thought, resting his hands on his lap and clasping them. "I'll have to speak to him after he wakes up...if he ever wakes up."

(15 Hours Later)

"Mrs. Midoriya?" A doctor asked as pulled down his surgical mask and walked into the lobby.

"Yes, that's me." Inko said, bracing herself for the worst as she got out of her seat and approached the doctor, All Might following closely behind her. "Please doctor, is Izuku okay?"

"We were able to stabilize him, just barely, but he's going to live." The doctor explained which caused Inko to breathe a massive sigh of relief. But before she could celebrate, the doctor spoke up once again. "Unfortunately, there were some complications...your son received serious damage to his spine...I'm sorry Mrs. Midoriya, but it looks like he may never walk again."

"No..." Inko gasped, cupping her hands over her mouth. "You can't be serious! Is there nothing you can do?!"

"We repaired what damage we could, but it'll take years of physical therapy...and even then there's no guarantee-"

"I don't care what it'll take!" Inko exclaimed, stepping closer to the doctor and poking him in the chest. "You will make son better! He will walk! I don't care if it takes ten years! He's a strong boy and he'll overcome this!"

"If that's the route you want to take, then I can recommend some excellent physical therapists. They'll do everything they can to help your son." The doctor said as he quickly jotted down a few notes. "I'll get their contact information for you. Izuku is in room 117 if you'd like to see him. He's not awake yet, but he should be soon."

"That'd be great doctor, thank you." Inko said, stepping back and taking a deep breath to calm herself. "I just want to see my son."

"If it's all right with you Inko, I'd like to see young Midoriya as well." All Might said as he gently placed a hand on Inko's shoulder.

"Of course you can come, you are the one who saved him after all, and I can't thank you enough for that." Inko said with a smile, reaching back and squeezing All Might's hand. "And besides, I'm sure it'd really lift Izuku's spirits to see you in person."

However, before either All Might or Inko could even walk towards Izuku's room, a pair of police officers walked into the hospital's lobby. Spotting Inko and All Might, the pair of officers quickly approached them.

"Are you Mrs. Midoriya?" One of the officers asked.

"Yes, that's me." Inko said in a confused tone as she quirked an eyebrow. "Is there a problem officers?"

"Don't worry ma'am, you're not in any sort of trouble." The second officer explained in a reassuring tone. "We're just following up on the incident that happened earlier. The man who hit your son is in custody, but we just need to ask you a couple of questions."

"Officers, can't we please do this later?" Inko pleaded as she glanced down the hall towards where Izuku's room was. "My son just got out of surgery and I really want to see him."

"We understand that ma'am, but we promise that this will only take a few minutes. You'll be able to see your son in no time at all." The first officer said in an understanding tone. "Believe us, ma'am, we understand exactly what you're going through right now."

"*Sigh* Fine, you guys have ten minutes. If we're not done by then I'm leaving to go see my son." Inko said in a frustrated tone before she turned to look at All Might. "Would you still go check on Izuku? If he does wake up while I'm gone...I want someone to be there for him."

"It would be my pleasure Inko." All Might said with a smile, watching as the green-haired mother followed the officers down a separate hallway. Releasing a light sigh, All Might made his way towards the room Izuku was in. Opening the door, All Might was met with soft beeping of Izuku's heart monitor and the orange light of the sunset streaming through the windows. Stepping into the room, All Might saw Izuku lying of the bed, his entire body seemingly covered in bandages. His left leg and right arm were in casts and his broken leg was also hung up on a sling. Walking over, All Might took a seat beside the bed. Staring at the young boy's battered and injured body, the number one hero released a heavy sigh. "Young Midoriya, look what happened to you...it'll be a miracle for you to even walk again. But perhaps your mother is right, maybe you can overcome this. What you did was incredibly reckless...but also extraordinarily brave." Just then All Might perked up when he heard Izuku groan softly and shift slightly in the bed. Soon Izuku's green eyes fluttered open and he lazily scanned around the room. When the young boy spotted All Might sitting next to him, his eyes widened in surprise and excitement, and he instantly tried to sit upright. But that attempt was stopped when All Might suddenly stood up and placed his hand on Izuku's chest. "Please relax young Midoriya, you might hurt yourself even further if you move around too much."

"A-All Might is t-that really you...w-what are you doing here?" Izuku asked in a weak, yet still excited, tone as he smiled brightly at his personal hero.

"I'm the one who brought you here, young Midoriya. You were in a terrible accident and were seriously injured." All Might replied as he took his seat once again, this time scooting close to the bedside. "You're lucky to even be alive."

"I guess so..." Izuku said grimly before another smile began to creep across his face. "I was saved by All Might...that's so cool..."

"I guess your mother was right, you really are a huge fan." All Might said with a haughty laugh before he remembered the condition the young boy was in. "Listen young Midoriya, the doctors said you'll be okay...but...you may never walk again."

"Oh..." Izuku muttered as he clenched the blanket with his one good hand. "Is Ochacho okay?"

"Who?" All Might asked in a confused tone, raising an eyebrow.

"The little girl I pushed out of the car's way." Izuku explained as he locked eyes with All Might. "Did she get hurt? Did I make it in time? Please tell me Ochaco is okay."

"Don't worry young Midoriya, she is fine." All Might replied, stunned that the young boy was worried about someone else in this situation. "Young Midoriya, I must ask...why did you put yourself in danger to save that girl? You could have been killed, you both could have been killed."

"I...I don't know why I did it..." Izuku said with a small smile as he stared down at his lap. "But Ochaco...she was trying so hard to cheer me and be nice to me...she was my new friend...and I didn't want to see her get hurt...so my body just sort of moved on its own." All Might's eyes widened when he heard this. "I'm sorry All Might...I should have been more careful."

"This boy...he just may be the one..." All Might thought, standing up from his seat and placing a comforting hand on Izuku's shoulder. "Young Midoriya, your mother told me that you want to be a hero like me...but that you don't have a quirk..." Izuku seemed to deflate slightly when he was reminded of this. "Some people may tell you that you can't be a hero and that you should give up on your dream...but I'm here to tell you young Midoriya, that you can be a hero." Izuku gasped when All Might said this, tears forming in his eyes. Reaching up, Izuku clutched a hand over his racing heart. "Most pro heroes show signs of greatness even as children, many of them claim that their bodies moved before they could even think." Izuku choked back a sob as a few tears escaped from his eyes. "Now I must ask you, young Midoriya...do you truly want to be a hero?!"

"Yes!" Izuku exclaimed as he finally let the tears fall freely. "More than anything, I want to be an amazing hero!"

"Then young Midoriya, I believe you are worthy to inherit my power." All Might explained, causing Izuku's eyes to widen in shock. "But before you gain my power young Midoriya, you must do one thing! You have to overcome your injures, strengthen your body, and walk once again! If you choose to walk down this path, I will be with you every step of the way and mold you into a hero worthy of my quirk! Now young Midoriya, are you prepared to join me on this long journey!?"

"YES!" Izuku yelled as a massive smile spread across his face. "If it means I can become a hero, I'll do anything!"

And done! Not a super long first chapter, but it was simply an introductory chapter. The next chapter will show Izuku's road to recovery, him bonding with All Might, gaining his quirk, and possibly running into a few familiar faces. Now again, I have to remind you that, for now, updates for this story will be very spaced out and infrequent. Once I have updated my other stories, I'll try to get around to this one. So, please just be patient and a new chapter will be out eventually. If you enjoyed this chapter remember to follow/favorite, PLEASE REVIEW (I NEED YOUR FEEDBACK!), check out my profile and other stories if you haven't already, and PM me any ideas you might have for any of my fics. So until next time, I'm outta here!
