Battle of Gods

If Goku and Mirko thought underground in the Hassaikai base was bad then they weren't prepared at all for above ground. A large portion of the street had been decimated by the battle with Chisaki. Turned out that he had the ability to fuse with other people and had done just that with the giant gang member from the beginning of the raid. As Goku suspected, it had indeed been Deku to defeat Chisaki with him apparently using One For All at 100% power. How? Well it all boiled down to Eri who's quirk was Rewind. Each time Deku threw a punch at 100%, Eri's quirk immediately rewound the damage so he could keep fighting. However, the battle had taken a toll on the both of them as Deku was practically unconscious from Eri's quirk going out of control while the young girl was unconscious from the feedback from her quirk. In comparison to what Goku and Mirko had experienced it sounded awful.

"Oh my god! Goku! You're here! cried Uraraka as she ran up and hugged him in relief. Goku laughed and hugged right back. Tsuyu walked over as well.

"We feared the worse ribbit" she said with Goku smiling.

"I'm fine honestly. Me and Mirko ran into a spot of trouble. Well Mirko did then I saved her only for the pair of us to almost lose to the world's greatest assassin" he chuckled not really seeing the severity of that comment. Uraraka and Tsuyu looked at him in horror before he waved their concerns away, "We managed to beat him and in return he agreed to face me again someday when I'm older and stronger."

"Xeno let him go." Mirko rolled her eyes with her ward's classmates giving him questionable looks.

"Not like we were going to be able to fight him again! We were all exhausted, I died and nearly did again! I call that a draw" Goku argued.

"Hold up. You died?" asked Uraraka before freaking out, "You died and you're so calm about it?! Why aren't you concerned about that?!"

"Mirko did enough freaking out for the pair of us." He patted her on the back and teased her with info that she didn't want to relive. She simply shot him a glare which shut him up, "How's everyone up here anyway?"

"Not good. Sir Nighteye is in critical condition and on the way to the hospital now. Togata is quirkless after being shot by that bullet while Deku and Eri are recovering. Eri though is in a bit of a fever," Uraraka explained and Goku nodded, "Nice costume by the way. Suits you."

"Told you it looked good" said Mirko with a grin. Goku got flustered, closed his eyes and smiled goofily.

"Oh thanks. You should really be telling Bulma that" Goku said before noticing Chisaki's ki signature. The villain was being restrained on a gurney and wheeled away to a prison van. His signature mask was missing, most likely from the attack that defeated him. Goku felt no pity for him whatsoever, regardless of what he had done to Eri. His ki signature just screamed vile and evil, something Goku despised with a burning passion. The only thing he despised more as of this moment? An empty stomach.

"Oops. Excuse me. Didn't have a big breakfast as I was too eager to get here today" Goku sheepishly said after his stomach growled and he received amused looks from his three peers.

"You not have a big breakfast? What's your definition of a big breakfast kid?" asked Mirko.

"You don't want to know" chuckled Uraraka.

"Essentially take a normal sized breakfast and multiply the portions by twenty ribbit" Tsuyu added.

"Oh come on you three. I'm starving here!" Goku complained which only prompted laughs from the three.

"Goku! You're here! I wish I could have seen you in action again! I bet it was awesome!" exclaimed Nejire as she floated over to the small group. Just like Uraraka and Tsuyu, Nejire appeared completely unscathed.

"Hold up. How come you three all look fine but me and Goku look like we got our asses handed to us?" asked an irritated Mirko. Nejire looked lost while the other two girls looked at each other in embarrassment.

"Well technically after that Senzu I look completely fine. So, you're the only one that looks like you had your ass handed to you Mirko" Goku chuckled cheerfully. Mirko grew angry and attempted to hit him, but he simply dodged and flicked her in the forehead. She then had, what can only be described, as an adult tantrum. It was rather humorous to watch despite the surroundings.

"Loading Chisaki now. Stand by for departure" announced one of the police officers. Goku and co. looked over to watch them raise the gurney up and position it correctly for a smooth entrance into the back of the van. Goku watched intently before spying a small figure up on the roof of a nearby building. As he squinted, he made out a rifle looking weapon, body armour and…long jet-black hair. His quirk immediately blared to life and he clutched his head in pain.

"What's wrong?" asked a concerned Mirko before stepping back as Goku regained his composure. However, something was different. His eyes showed terror and worry. Mirko followed his eyeline to the same building and saw the figure taking aim with his rifle. He loaded something into it. Using her instincts, Mirko estimated that he was aiming not at Goku, not at her, not at any of the heroes or officers. He was aiming straight at Chisaki.

"It's him. He's alive" Goku muttered in fear before feeling a gust of wind go by him. Mirko was running full speed towards the prison van. The figure pulled the trigger, the noise catching the attention of everyone present.

"Kid! Destroy that bullet now!" screamed Mirko and Goku snapped out of his daze. He raised his right hand and shot a ki blast which homed in on the bullet. He then glanced back to the figure who stood up and placed his left index and middle finger to his left ear. Goku heard a voice and his eyes widened his fear.

"It was always me, Kakarot. Every single time."

Raditz held his right hand up for his younger brother to see and pressed a button on the rifle. Just as the ki blast reached the bullet, it split apart with micro-darts shooting out in all directions before homing in on Chisaki's unconscious form. No one was fast enough to stop them. Each dart slammed into Chisaki and injected a fluid of sorts. Then they simply imploded. The explosions were weak and Chisaki wasn't affected physically. Then his eyes snapped open, enraged and crazed. He began to violently spasm in his restraints, yet unable to use his quirk due to the quirk-cancelling handcuffs he had on. Then a single bullet hit them. Not just the gauntlets. The bullet hit the lock mechanism on them. Chisaki ripped his hands free and slammed them down onto the gurney, tearing it apart instantly. As he landed on his knee he slammed his hands on the ground and erupted spikes from the ground that impaled his escort. Everyone froze in horror as a spray of blood rained from above.

"SHIT!" screamed Mirko as Chisaki barraged the raid team with constructs. There was only one thing she knew of that could have supercharged his quirk, "He's been hit with Trigger!"

"Everyone fall back! Fall back!" barked Tsukauchi with officers, heroes and bystanders alike doing just that. Goku and Raditz were in a staring contest, the former in fear and the latter in glee.

"Tick tock. Clock's ticking. What will you do, brother?" mocked Raditz. Cries of death were heard and Goku turned to see Chisaki butcher everyone unfortunate to get clear in time. Limbs went flying and blood and guts were scattered.

"WHERE IS SHE?!" he screamed in his craze before spotting the little girl the heroes had worked so hard to save. She was being led away by some medics. Chisaki lost it and rushed at them using his upgraded quirk. The first doctor screamed as Chisaki grasped his head and ripped his body apart while the others were either impaled on spikes or fled for their lives. Chisaki was concerned with only one thing. Retrieving Eri. He used his quirk to create a casing around her which he then had follow him while he escaped on pillars of concrete.

"He's got a hostage! I repeat Chisaki has retaken Eri!" radioed Tsukauchi.

"NO ERI!" screamed Togata who was only barely conscious. He noticed Goku not moving and stumbled over to him. As he fell he grabbed onto Goku's shoulder and looked up at him. Goku turned to look at him.

"Goku please! Save her! Please! I'm begging you! SAVE HER!" he pleaded and Goku snapped out of his trance. He nodded but realised Togata had already passed out. He turned back to Raditz's position but found his brother had left the scene.

"Forget him for the moment. I've got a job to do." Goku's face hardened in determination and his aura flared to life.

"Kid let me give you a boost. I'll catch up" came the voice of Mirko who placed her hand on Goku's shoulder. The teen nodded and proceeded to run forward, slowly at first. Mirko rushed past him and began to bounce between buildings to build up momentum before manoeuvring, legs up and bent, in front of Goku. Goku sprinted full speed at her and leapt into the air, the soles of their feet meeting. Mirko used the momentum behind her to do a backwards somersault and simultaneously launch Goku off her legs. The teen was sent rocketing in the direction Chisaki was headed. As Mirko landed she quickly spun around and sprinted after him, "Now kid! Hit the jets and go!"

"Roger that" Goku replied and activated his flight aura, the extra velocity causing his speed to increase significantly. He reached terminal velocity soon after and caused the windows of building to shatter. A sonic boom was made.

"Wow. That was badass" muttered Mirko before going as fast as she could.

Goku blasted forward, despite his speed gradually dropping. It didn't take him long to catch up to Chisaki and rather than go to the villain's side, he rammed straight into him. Chisaki grunted in pain as he was knocked from his pillar and landed on the ground, making sure to dig his hands into the ground to slow down. He tensed and created a mass of spikes that homed in on Goku. The teen hovered and went Super Ascended just as the spikes reached him. Rubble fell to the ground and Chisaki was hit by the spray of rock.

"Got to get Eri clear" was the first thought to go through Goku's mind. He flew over to the casing that held her and blew one of its sides out, revealing the unconscious girl inside. She looked terrified despite being completely unaware of what was going on. Goku picked her up and flew away as the structure collapsed. He landed a ways off and gently placed her on the ground, making sure he supported her neck. As he tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear, he sensed Chisaki's power rising. He turned around quickly only to be met by a stone pillar that batted him away. Goku crashed into a convenience store and noticed the people still inside.

"Get out of here! Go! Run! Get as far away as you can!" he ordered, and they eagerly made a break for it. Goku turned back to face the hole his entrance had just created and got serious, "It's not gonna be pretty." His golden aura blared to life and he blasted back through the hole and straight towards Chisaki who prepared himself. The villain threw more pillars of stone at Goku, who dodged around them, being forced to destroy them in some cases. He neared and prepared to strike Chisaki in the face. However, the villain held up his hand to grab Goku's arm, forcing the teen to abandon his strike. He instead dodged to the left and roundhouse kicked Overhaul in the back. The villain stumbled forward before swinging around and slamming his right hand to the ground. Goku became trapped in a prison of spikes which then grew more spikes and began to close in on him. He roared and burst out only to jump back. He immediately cupped his hands and brought them to his side.

"Ka…me…ha…me…" he chanted. Chisaki brought up a shield as Goku fired the attack.

"HAAAAAAA!" the blue beam collided with Chisaki's defence. The wall began to crack and Goku poured more power into it. However, his eyes widened in surprise as the wall shot out massive spikes. He was forced to dodge, and his Kamehameha dissipated. He was too slow to dodge both spikes. One of them caught his side and he screamed in pain as blood poured from the wound. He landed on the ground and evaluated the damage. It was a small puncture wound but it sure did hurt. He did his best to cauterise it before leaping out of the way of Chisaki's next attack. An explosion erupted from Chisaki as he began to reform the surrounding area. Walls erected, boxing the pair of them in while spikes appeared on those walls and the ground. Goku immediately swore and began to re-evaluate his strategy not that his original one was working.

"All I want is Eri so I can continue my plan in peace. Why do you heroes keep getting in my way?!" snarled Chisaki as he stood up straight. He then scratched the dirt off his hands in disgust.

"Are you being serious right now?" Goku snapped, "You torture that poor girl. Physical and mental scarring that will take time to mend. Some may never disappear. We keep getting in your way to put an end to that. I'm here to see that hope through." Goku blasted into the air and dropped out of his flight aura to land a blow to Chisaki's face. He didn't let up though as he proceeded to barrage the villain with blow after blow. Chisaki was back up against a wall and placed his hand on it. The ground beneath Goku's feet changed and he found himself jumping back to avoid the spikes now protruding where he once stood. Then Chisaki held his hand out towards Goku.

"What are you doing? You're quirk only works on physical objects" Goku noted before feeling like he'd been stabbed in the right of his chest. He coughed up blood and looked down to see a puncture, "Oh right. Trigger is bs." He grasped what he could only assume was a spike of air and pulled it out. Immediately cauterising the wound to halt the blood he looked back at Chisaki to see him blowing apart a wall and walking out. He then closed the wall and glared at Goku as it closed up. Then Goku was hit by a realisation.

"That was the wall closest to Eri! Damnit!" he shouted in rage before rushing towards said wall. The spikes impeded his progress a little but were unable to stop him from bulldozing through the construct. Despite the scratches, bruises and scrapes Goku was still determined to beat Chisaki and save Eri. However, he hadn't been quick enough. Chisaki had already gotten to Eri and lifted her onto his shoulder. He went to move only for a new figure to hit him. He dropped Eri as he crashed into a building and the figure caught the young girl. Mirko had entered the fight but was running on fumes.

"Xeno! What seems to be the trouble?" she called to Goku who sighed in relief before tensing.

"Mirko move!" he warned with the pro getting the hint just in time. A massive hand of rock slammed down and decimated the ground where she had been. With Eri in her grasp, Mirko could only hope to dodge. Her luck soon ran out as she was grabbed by one of the hands and brought towards Chisaki who was slowly approaching. Despite her struggles she was unable to break free meaning both she and Eri were in trouble.

"You're dead" stated Chisaki as he went to grasp Mirko's face. Suddenly ki blasts were thrown around him and he stepped back in confusion. Mirko smirked when she recognised the technique.

"Do it."

The ki blasts turned purple and homed in on Chisaki.

"HELLZONE GRENADE!" yelled Goku. Chisaki screamed in pain and rage as he was caught in the explosion. The blast caused the hand holding Mirko and Eri to crumbled and throw them backwards. Mirko lost her grip and Eri flew away from her only to end up being caught by Goku who gently landed on the ground. Mirko backflipped, landed on the ground and ran over to him.

"How's the fight going?" she asked sarcastically.

"Worse than you think. The Trigger has boosted his quirk so much that he can now manipulate the air to a degree. Also I'm starting to think that he may not always need to touch the ground to reconstruct it. I can't get close without something forcing me to dodge. I've got the power but not the agility and speed" he said in a low voice.

"If it's that bad we should take him on together" Mirko suggested only to be cut off by Goku.

"No we can't. We could barely handle Hit together so this guy will decimate us. Right now I need you to get Eri to safety." Goku was getting desperate. Eri's safety was his main concern.

"Goku I can't just…" Mirko started when a weak voice spoke.

"Deku? Is that you?" the pair looked down to see Eri slowly coming to. As she opened her eyes she recoiled in fear at the sight of Goku, "Please! Someone help me!"

"Hey shh it's okay. I'm one of the heroes. I'm trying to save you" Goku tried to explain but it was no use. His Ascended form was terrifying her.

"Kid power down." Mirko's command was met with hesitation as first but Goku complied. As he returned to his base form, Eri's fear began to vanish. Goku looked friendlier now and less scary.

"My name's Nimbus. I'm a friend of Deku. Don't worry I'm going to keep you safe" he assured her with a smile. The girl looked on in wonder before something caught the trio's attention. It was Chisaki and he looked pissed.

"Eri. Don't make me kill them. You wouldn't want that now would you. Be a good little girl and return to your master now!" he threatened as spikes of rock rapidly approached Goku and Mirko. The two dodged and landed to the side further back. Goku glared at him before giving Eri a comforting smile and expression.

"Hey don't cry. Everything's going to be okay. My friend here is going to keep you safe. I'm going to deal with that guy" he comforted but Eri continued to cry in fear and possibly sadness. Goku's blood boiled at the thought of all the torture she had endured at the hands of that monster. He wanted her to be happy. He wanted her to be…

"Happy. That's it" he muttered in realisation before handing Eri to Mirko who looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"What?" she asked expecting an answer but rather than talk to her, Goku instead spoke to Eri.

"Hey Eri," he said happily. The young girl turned her head from Mirko's upper chest to face Goku who had a smile on his face, "Have you ever been happy?" She shook her head and Goku's heart sunk. However, he kept up his smile and joyful attitude.

"Well I think it's time you felt a little joy because I'll tell you this. If there's one thing stronger than anger and sadness, it's happiness." Eri watched as a faint red glow emanated off Goku. Mirko noticed it too and the boy nodded at her knowingly as he stood up straight. Mirko grinned and gave him a piece of advice.

"Kick his ass."

She took off to a safe zone while Eri slowly fell asleep again from the stress. She watched Goku smile at her and then wink with a thumbs up. She looked at her right hand and manipulated her fingers and thumb into the same gesture. She held it up to Goku who smiled more before turning back to face an enraged Chisaki. The last thing Eri saw before her eyes closed was Goku being coated in a red light.

"Alright Chisaki. Let's finish this."

Goku closed his eyes and began to breathe gently. Time seemed to slow down around him. Chisaki's attack continued but in slow motion while he appeared to be readying more. Just like when Goku transformed into his Super states, he homed in on all the happiness he had ever felt. The red glow that he had constantly been grappling with glowed brighter than ever. His skin took on a slight pink tone and his body slimmed and appeared younger in build. His hair turned a magenta-red and retained its usual style. However, it became more refined and lost the stray hairs that were once present. A red aura that resembled a raging fire came to life around Goku just as time began to return to the normal flow. Then as Chisaki's attack neared Goku a final image passed through the teen's mind. An image of potential happiness that he was determined to see through. Eri smiling. Goku's eyes opened to reveal more detailed eyes with relaxed red irises. He immediately held his right hand out, palm open, with a red ring of ki being propelled forward. The attack froze Chisaki's and Goku proceeded to destroy it with a flurry of small ki blasts. Chisaki showed surprise but quickly grew angrier and threw more rock pillars and spikes at Goku. The teen smiled and began the battle.

"I'll kill you! I'll kill you! I'LL KILL YOU!" screamed Chisaki while Goku effortlessly dodged everything coming his way. He jumped into the air, prompting Chisaki to launch a pillar towards him. Goku grinned happily and dodged over it before sliding down. He closed the gap between himself and Chisaki quickly and landed a powerful blow square in Chisaki's chest. The villain made a noise in pain and surprise before coughing. Goku's blow had knocked the air out of him.

"Haha! It's working! It's working! I can't believe it's working! This is amazing!" Goku exclaimed in excitement. As with his Super states, the emotion used to transform was being amplified leading to his current behaviour, "Kyoka you were right!" He was so excited he failed to notice an approaching attack from a snarling Chisaki. Yet despite it nearing and his delayed response, Goku stayed calm the entire time. He dodged to the side and blasted a ki blast straight towards Chisaki who was quick to block it. It bulldozed through the wall he had constructed but dissipated just before hitting him. He darted his eyes across the battleground in search of Goku, but the teen had mysteriously disappeared.

"Hey Chisaki. Behind you!" came the youthful voice of Goku.

"That's not my name! Not anymore!" shouted Chisaki as he swung his left hand around, the rest of his body following. Goku caught it by the wrist and twisted it. He then proceeded to do the same to Chisaki's right hand.

"You know without your hands you wouldn't be a danger," Goku commented. Chisaki showed fear in his eyes but Goku laughed it off, "Not that I'm going to cut your hands off or anything! I'm not like you! I wouldn't enjoy it one bit!" Chisaki growled only to be swung over Goku's head and slammed into the ground behind him. Chisaki grunted in pain from the impact and Goku let go of his wrists. He proceeded to walk relatively far away from Chisaki before turning back around and hopping on his feet.

"You dare?" Chisaki asked.

"Yep."

Goku's response pissed Chisaki off to no end and he immediately got to his feet. He turned around to see Goku cheerfully waving at him before getting slightly more serious.

"I will tear down this society of heroes! I'm not finished yet!" he screamed. Pillars of concrete lifted him into the air, and he began to summon the largest amount of stone spikes yet. He also formed a massive rock construct around his right arm. It began to switch between a hand, a mallet, a mace and other handheld weapons. His sanity was beginning to slip away but this last-ditch effort told Goku one thing.

"The Trigger's beginning to wear off."

Goku stopped hopping and looked at his hands. He balled them into fists before coating his right hand in red ki and smirked. He then rushed at Chisaki, not bothering to fly. Chisaki threw everything at him. Goku weaved through the onslaught of rock spikes and even evaded some of Chisaki's air spikes. He ducked under one, kept his momentum and continued on. The distance between the two was rapidly disappearing. Goku gave Chisaki a look and spoke.

"You want a world without quirks."

He ducked under another pillar and blew an oncoming one apart.

"One where you and your organisation will be gods."

Chisaki turned the construct on his arm into a mallet and slammed it down where Goku was. The teen dodged to the side and then leapt onto the construct. He sprinted up it as the red ki around his right fist became more powerful. Then as he reached Chisaki he was flung into the air when the villain lifted his arm. Goku gained his bearings in the air and made eye contact with the crazed gang leader. The red ki around his right fist finished charging.

"Well this is what transcends a God."

Chisaki's eyes widened as Goku finally activated his flight, his raging fire aura bursting to life. He blasted down towards his target, Chisaki sending one final attack his way. Goku barrel-rolled to the left, avoiding the attack and continuing his trajectory. He pulled his right arm back and threw his most powerful punch ever. Chisaki was unable to do anything as Goku's superpowered fist collided with the left side of Chisaki's face. The villain was sent crashing into the ground below, with all his constructs crumbling. Goku somersaulted forward on his rapid descent and landed on the ground by Chisaki. He crouched down, making sure to stay wary at all times, and checked for movement and a pulse. The pulse was found and Chisaki's eyes had rolled back in his head. He had been knocked unconscious. Goku stood back and shook his right hand.

"Enjoy Tartarus, Overhaul."

Author's Note

Now this right here was one of my favourite chapters to write. The introduction of my favourite Saiyan form from DB was awesome to write. I hope you enjoy this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it.

With this chapter, the Overhaul arc essentially comes to a close, with one fillerish chapter to deal with the aftermath.

Next up is a strange one to write but I will write it anyway. The School Festival arc. Gonna be the calm after the storm. Well mostly.

Anyway I'll see you next time!
