Here I am with a new story, and this time it's based on one of my favorite anime's, and I'm using my new OC, Jackson Wren.

Basically Jackson is a Spirit Mage like Lucy, but he uses totally different spirits. He uses God's and Goddess's from our Mythology. Basically what I have so far are: Greek, Egyptian, Norse and Japanese. I would've used Roman, but I'm a history buff and I'm Majoring in History, so I know Rome borrowed some of aspects of Greek culture for their own, which would include their Gods, and all they did was change their names.

If any of you have other Mythological Gods and Goddesses then let me know, and I'll consider it. But I will also reveal what Spirits Jackson has, and his family. And if you want a more clear understanding, I can post a chapter dedicated to what a God's Spirit Mage is.

Another thing I'm going to do is keep Jackson's parents, Iden and Hal, alive. I mean, I don't think all of the Fairy Tail members parents are dead, so I want to see how this goes. And the timeline for this is the same, but the only difference is when Jackson and Cana joined the guild, they joined a year after.

I own none of the content and I hope you all enjoy.

(Year: X773)

A young boy ran down the street excitedly, and he would only stop once he heard his family call for him to stop. He looked to be 7 years old, he had brown hair, who wore brown cargo shorts, a black T-Shirt, sandals, and glasses. A women who looked to be in her early thirties, who had black hair that went to her ears, eyes that were brown, and the most noticeable thing about her was a key ring on her belt that sported a couple of keys. A man who was the same age as the woman, and her husband, was in his early thirties, who sported short black hair. And the most noticeable thing about him was that he sported a couple of rings on his fingers, that also had symbols of the four elements on them.

"Jackson, wait up." His mom called.

"Sorry mom! I'm just excited, today is the day!" He yelled excitedly.

Jackson's grandfather, Sato, chuckled, looked at his daughter, and said," To be fair, sweetie. You were like this when I said you could join the Guild."

Sato Potter was a man in his mid 70's, and just like his daughter, he had a key ring with keys on his belt.

Jackson's mom, Iden, giggled at the memory and fondly said," Seems like yesterday dad. And not to mention the guild is where I met you." She said the last part to her husband, Hal.

Hal, grinned and said," Well, I was pretty charming back then, and still am."

"You're a dork, dad." Jackson joked.

Iden and Sato laughed, while Hal ruffled his hair. The family soon found themselves in front of the Fairy Tail Guild Hall. Jackson had been to the guild and hung out there for as long as he could remember. He knew everyone there, and he considered them family. But now, he was going there to become an official member.

"This is awesome! The Guild is going to have another powerful member!" Jackson cheered and ran to the door.

Before he could open it, the door opened by itself, and Jackson ended up crashing into something, or someone, due to them letting out a yelp.

Jackson groaned and opened his eyes, and he was met with brown eyes. He would've been able to stare at them all day, but a voice yelled.

"Get off of me!"

Jackson got out of his stupor and realized he was above a young girl, and quickly got up.

"I'm sorry! Are you okay?" He said, as he helped her up, and he felt like he was blushing.

He got a good look at her now, she was his age at 7. She had short brown hair that went to ears, and was wearing a red shirt, a light pink skirt, and red shoes.

For some reason, he felt odd, but he couldn't figure out what.

And he could've sworn he saw the girl blush too, but he was probably imagining it.

The girl dusted herself off and said, "I'm fine."

"Jackson, are you alright?" Iden said as she got her son, and checked him out.

"I'm fine mom."

"What about you, young lady?" Sato asked as he looked at the girl.

"I'm fine sir. I guess I wasn't looking where I was going."

Jackson looked sheepishly at her and said," No it's my fault, I was too excited. Say, I don't remember seeing you before. Did you just join the guild?"

"Yeah, I just joined today, but not officially. My name is Cana Alberona. What's yours?" Cana asked.

Jackson smiled and said, "Jackson Wren, I'm officially joining the guild today. I'm basically a legacy. My grandfather and my parents are members as well."

"His grandfather and I were quite a team back in the day." A small old man who wore a hat, and had a staff with him said as he walked over to them.

"Makey, great to see you again." Sato said with a smile.

Master Makarov grinned and said," You too, old friend. I take it you came from the Capital to see your grandson officially inducted into the guild?"

"Wouldn't miss it. Sniff… he's growing up so fast." Sato said as he tear up a little and ruffled his hair.

"Grandpa." Jackson said, as he felt embarrassed.

It didn't help in the fact that Cana was giggling at his expense. Although he did found it a little bit cute.

Where did that come from?

Hal patted his son on the back and said," Just be glad your mother isn't sobbing and hugging you. I managed to calm her down beforehand."

Iden's response was playfully slap her husband's shoulder. But you can see her eyes had a visible wetness to them.

Jackson looked at Cana and said," Do you want to see me get my guild mark?"

Cana nodded and said," Sure."

Jackson and Cana sat at the bar next to each other. Jackson smiled as he looked at his shoulder where Master Makarov stamped him with the Fairy Tail Guild Mark, which was colored orange. Orange was his favorite color, and he felt an immense amount of pride of having it. It felt like a badge of honor or a rite of passage in a sense.

"Glad to see your officially one of us." Macao Conbolt said and raised his drink with a smile nearby

"Yeah, having another God's Spirit Mage in the Guild is going to be fun." Wakaba Mine said.

Jackson smiled and said," Thanks guys."

Cana gave him a curious look and said," What's a God's Spirit Mage?"

"Oh, we summon God's and other spirits by using Keys. I'll explain more. If you tell me what kind of magic you can do."

"I use Holder Magic, but more specifically, I use Magic Cards as the place holder. I'm planning on working on my magic further, and then officially join the guild. I also use them to do Fortune Telling."

"That's cool. Can you do my fortune?"

Cana nodded and said," I'm still getting the hang of it, but I can do that. As long as you explain more about your type of magic. Yours sounds cooler than mine."

"Hey, don't sell yourself short. Holder Magic is cool. And I'm sure your going to be a great one. Y'know… I can help if you need to improve your skills. We are friends after all."

Cana hoped she wasn't blushing, but she was also feeling happy at the fact that someone was going out of their way to help her. Maybe he can help her with the reason why she came to the guild in the first place. But she then caught what else he said.

"Wait, friend?"

Jackson smiled with a nod and said, "Yeah, consider me your first friend in the guild. Master Makarov always says we're all family. And we look out for each other. I can tell your not from around here, and I can probably help you."

Cana smiled in appreciation and joy, and said," I guess we are. Thank you."

As the both of them talked, they didn't notice the adults watching them talk.

"Well, I can tell they're going to be great friends." Hal said.

Iden looked at the duo fondly, and couldn't help but find it cute, and said," Oh, I have a feeling that they're going to be more than that in the future."

The three men gave her questioning looks, but Makarov then realized what she meant, and chuckled.

"Ah yes, I remember with you and Hal, Iden. It is one of my fondness memories of this guild." Makarov said.

Hal and Sato were confused by what Iden said. But, as soon as Master Makarov said that part, they finally put two and two together, and realized what they meant. Their eyes widened, and they looked at the two kids who were talking excitedly.

"I… I think I need a drink." Hal said.

"Same here, son." Sato said.

Iden and Makarov could only chuckle.

Later that day, the two young wizards were walking around town. Jackson was showing Cana around, and you can tell they had become close in the short amount of time they've known each other.

"So, what spirits are you able to summon?" Cana asked.

"Only silver and Titanium. Mom said I'm getting close to summoning a Gold Spirit soon. Grandpa passed down his keys to her, and she's planning on passing them down to me as I progress."

"What about those Black and Gold ones?"

Jackson sighed and said, "I wish… I have to able to summon three Gold Spirits at once in able to summon the one of the big ones, but hard part is able channel enough magic. Grandpa is able to, but Mom said she isn't at the skill or magic level to summon anyone at that level. I heard only a few could do that."

"How come?"

"It requires a lot of magic, but that is a goal that I hope to achieve someday. I also hope to make it to S-Class. And hopefully become a great mage."

Cana nodded and said," Those sounds like good goals. So, what type of magic does your dad use?"

"He uses elemental magic, which means he can control, water, earth, air and fire. He uses Ring Magic to boost his Magic."

"That's pretty neat. Hey what's that place?"

Jackson looked to where she was looking at and grinned.

"Oh it's South Gate Park. C'mon, I want to show you a spot I like to hang out at."

Jackson took Cana's hand and led her there. He didn't see the visible blush on the young girl's face, due to the visible contact. The both of them soon found themselves standing at a big tree.

"I usually come here to sit and hangout. Or to think." He said as sat down, and he patted Cana to sit next to him.

Cana sat down next to him, and stayed quiet for a few moments like Jackson did. She had to admit, it was peaceful here, and she could easily get lost in her thoughts. She did come to the guild for a specific reason, but she found herself wondering what she was going to do in the long run.

What if her dad didn't accept her? Then her coming to Fairy Tail would be a big waste. But, meeting Jackson, and starting to get to know him, and hopefully everyone else soon. That made her believe that coming to Fairy Tail wouldn't be a waste.

Master Makarov did say that everyone in the Guild was like a family.

A very rowdy one, from what she had seen so far.

"Are you ok?"

Cana got out of her thoughts, and looked at Jackson, who was giving her a curious look.

"I'm fine… can I ask you a question?"

"Sure."

"It's about why I came to the guild… I'm looking for my dad." She said.

"You are… is it Master Makarov? Cause I may be young but, I have seen some of the guys at the guild act weird around women. And I have heard snippets of Master Makarov and Grandpa talking about past 'conquests'. I didn't know whatever that meant, until grandpa told me the number of women they hooked up with." He said with a slight blush.

Cana actually giggled at that, but returned to her down look and said," No it isn't the Master. Unless his name is Gildarts."

"Wait, are you saying, Gildarts Clive, the Ace of Fairy Tail, is your dad!" Jackson said with stars in his eyes.

Cana quickly placed a hand over his mouth, and said," Shush! I don't want anyone else to know! You know him?"

"Yeah, S-Class Mage, clumsy as hell due to his obliviousness, and can be destructive due to his Crush Magic, with long orange hair, and a scruffy look. I think he's also close to the same magic level as Master and Grandpa. I just saw him last week. He's pretty cool once you get to know him. Which is kinda impossible sometimes, due to him taking quests or jobs that take a long time."

Cana could only gape; she didn't know her father was that powerful. And it occurred to her that her magic child's play compared to his. She knew Master Makarov was powerful, she only knew him for a short time, but he did give off power in a way. But for him to be close to the same level, she wasn't sure what to think now.

"I guess… I only have his name."

Jackson then realized something and said," Wait, does he know? Cause that would be seriously messed up if he did, and doesn't care about you. He doesn't seem like the type of person."

"No, he doesn't know about me. He didn't know my mom was pregnant after they divorced. After she died, I came here." Cana sadly said. "I keep wondering if he'll accept me, and what if he doesn't? And what if the only way he will is if I become S-Class."

Jackson placed his hand on Cana's shoulder, she looked up, and he was giving him a serious look. She was taken by surprise, due to the short time that she had known him, he always had an excited or laid back look, which matched his personality.

"Then he would be making the stupidest mistake of his life. You're a pretty cool person, and I've only known you for a short amount of time, but even I know you'll be a great wizard. And I'm pretty sure Gildarts isn't like that. He would definitely accept you as his daughter. And if he doesn't, then it's his loss. Besides, you have me, the rest of the guild, and my family. That makes all of us your extended family. And tell you what, next time he's at the guild, I'll stand right by your side to give you the courage to tell him."

Cana's response was to shed a few tears, and to give him a bone crushing hug, which he reciprocated.

"Thank you… I honestly don't know how to repay you."

"What are friends for? But I do have one thing. Maybe once we help you get your magic up, and your officially part of the guild, we can become a team. We can take jobs together, and train to become S-Class Mages in future. What do you say?"

Cana smiled and said," You got yourself a deal, Jack's."

The both of them shook hands on it. As they did, they didn't know what would happen in the near or further future. But they did know they would face it together, or with their guild mates.

What the both of them didn't notice was that a falcon was circling from above. The falcon then flew off, and went to the direction of the guild.

Iden was standing outside the guild. And the same falcon from before flew to her, and landed in front of her. The falcon then transformed into a regal looking woman, who had tan skin, wore a skirt, and a dress that showed her midriff , sandals that went to her knee's. Her hair was black that went to her shoulders, and had gold rings in them.

Another noticeable feature was that she was holding a staff that was curved, and had wings on her back.

She bowed and said," Young Jackson and his friend are ok, Mistress."

"That's good, where are they?"

Isis grinned and said," They're sitting under the tree in the park. Oh, they looked so adorable! You were right about them making a cute couple in the future." She said with a blush.

Iden giggled and said, "I'm starting to believe that as well. Thank you for watching them."

"I honestly don't mind it. He reminds me of Horus at the age. But, if that girl ever hurts him, then she will be dealing with a lot of angry Gods." She said, as her face darkened to the point where her eyes were covered, and she was tapping her staff in the palm of her hand.

Iden visibly sweat dropped at that. Her spirits had taken the vow to always watch over Jackson, after meeting him when he was born. And she was both glad and worried at that. Then again, her father did say the same thing was said when she was born.

"Well Isis, you can return now. I'll see you later." She said with a friendly smile.

Isis nodded and said with a smile," Till next time, Mistress."

She then disappeared in a flash of shimmering light. Iden smiled warmly at Isis's key, she was one her first keys, after her father started to hand down his.

She can only imagine what type of spirits Jackson would use and hopefully find.

X774 (1 Years Later)

Jackson and Cana walked back to the guild hall, after completing a job. Since meeting last year, they had become best friends, and the people that knew them, always saw them together. Even though the both of them were oblivious to the fact that everyone were placing bets on when they would go out.

They both of them had also changed a little. They had grown a couple of more inches, and had changed their outfits.

Jackson wore brown cargo pants, sneakers, a light orange shirt. While Cana wore an orange, black striped dress, and red sandals. She even grew out her hair, where she had to have it in a pony tail, with two strands on the side of her face.

Due to their age, they had to take easy jobs that would normally have small Jewel amounts. This didn't bode well with them, due to Jackson now being able to summon Gold Spirits now, although only one. And Cana had become better with her Card Magic to the point where she had officially joined the guild.

Iden and Hal helped her with that, and they had become quite found of her, with her and Iden bonding.

With the former, Jackson was pretty excited when he had first summoned his first gold spirit.

(Flashback)

"C'mon, Jacks! You can do it!" Cana cheered.

Makarov chuckled at her enthusiasm. He had noticed that Cana was mature for her age, she was one of the few who didn't partake in the Guild's more chaotic moments. And when it came to learning and training magic, she was always focused.

But, she would always cave in and act like a child and relax around Jackson. He always had the fondness for the boy, due to his sometimes laid back or excited, cheerful attitude. He remembered the days where he was as full as energy as him.

"Remember, Cana. He must have full concentration. I don't think you cheering him on will help." Makarov lightly said.

'Besides, you both concentrate on each other enough already.' He added slyly.

He was pretty sure you had to be a blind person to not notice that the two were really close. He knew they were just children, and they were still learning things. But he was actually rooting for them to admit the obvious feelings they have for each other.

He remembered how Iden and Hal met as teenagers. They couldn't stop being nervous around each other. Makarov couldn't blame him, Iden was beautiful. And it only took Hal a month to get the guts to ask her on a date.

"Right, got it." Cana sheepishly said.

Iden stood next to Jackson, as he held a Gold Key, it was one of her father's keys that he had passed down to her.

Poseidon, a Greek God. His key had the picture of his symbol, which was a top part of a Trident. Poseidon was an interesting individual, she had heard stories about the Celestial Spirit, Aquarius, and found that they had similar personalities. But luckily, he had mellowed out a little over years, and he had admitted he liked Jackson. And also threatened her to not tell him that.

"Now, remember to let your magic flow through you. Once you're ready, place the key into the water, and say the incantation like you normally do." Iden said.

"Got it mom." Jackson said, and took a breath.

'Alright, Cana and I have been training for a year now. She just recently officially joined the guild, and that got me to train more with summoning a Gold God or Goddess. I think I'm ready.'

Jackson closed his eyes, and let the magic flow through him. He felt the power emanating from Poseidon's key.

Jackson placed the key into the glass of water and said," In the name of Zeus, I call upon thee! Open, Gate of the God of the Sea: Poseidon!"

The key seemed to brighten, and a magic symbol appeared where the key was. And a sound of thunder echoed.

A figure appeared, a man with long brown hair that had specks of white, and a long brown beard, and a spiked crown. He was shirtless, had a toga skirt around his bottom half, and had gold sandals. He also held a golden Trident that had a brown, leathery handle.

"What is it?" He asked, with a raised eyebrow.

"Holy crap! You did it!" Cana said with whoop, and Makarov smiled proudly.

"Very good, I can tell he'll make a powerful wizard in the future." Makarov said.

"Poseidon, it was Jackson, who summoned you." Iden proudly said.

Poseidon looked over at Jackson, who had a proud look on his face. Even though on the inside he was kinda nervous. Due to the fact Poseidon was one of his moms temperamental spirits.

Poseidon nodded and said," Hmm, well congratulations are in order when it's due. Heh, your mother summoned me when she was a year older than you. And your grandfather summoned me at the same age as you are. I always knew your mother needed more practice."

Iden took a calming breath, even though there was a visible tick mark on her head. She had dealt with Poseidon's attitude before, but it still slightly got on her nerves.

He then looked over at Cana's direction, and saw her.

The girl was waved shyly at him, and then gave a smile to Jackson, who smiled back.

Poseidon chuckled and then whispered to Jackson," Is that your girlfriend over there? She looks like a keeper."

Jackson blushed and said," What? No! She's my friend!"

Poseidon mentally snorted and thought,' That's what your mother said about your dad.' "So, is there anything you need? If not, then I'll take my leave."

"No I'm good. I'm just happy I summoned my first Gold Spirit." Jackson said with a huge smile.

Poseidon nodded, looked at Iden and said," Maybe someday he'll be able to summon old Zeus." He said and disappeared.

Cana then ran over to Jackson, hugged him and said," That was cool! Great job!"

Jackson's only response was to smile, and hug his friend.

(Present Day)

The job they took was just helping out some villagers in a nearby village with some chores, and some animals. But on the bright side, they got 1,000 Jewels and split it.

"I can't wait to take more interesting jobs. I mean, my spirits and I need something more interesting." Jackson said.

Cana thought otherwise by saying," That may be true, but you have to realize that you have to take things one step at a time. You can't just rush in and expect to be all powerful."

Jackson shrugged in acceptance and said, "I see your point."

"You should, considering I'm the more mature, and rational person of this team." Cana cheekily said.

Jackson gave her an unimpressed look, then came up with something, and smugly said," Well at least my magic is cooler."

Cana narrowed her eyes and said," All you do is use keys to summon people. That's lame."

This was a normal thing with them; they would tease or trade harmless insults at each other. And they would end up laughing later on.

Once they got the guild, they were planning on getting something to eat. Once they opened the doors, they found that everyone was talking excitedly. And some were even near somebody familiar.

Jackson grinned and said," Hey, Gildarts!"

Gildarts Clive, stopped taking a gulp from his beer, grinned at Jackson, and said," Hey, Jacks, good to see you again."

Jackson was about to walk over to him, but realized that Cana was frozen. She looked nervous and shy, and he gave him a reassuring look, and she nodded. They walked to the bar and sat next to Gildarts

"I caught your folks before they went on a job. Apparently you can now summon Gold God Spirits."

"Yeah, and I'll be able to summon one of the big ones soon. Maybe I'll be able to beat you in a fight then."

Gildarts laughed and said," Fighting against someone like Zeus sounds fun. Although, if you ever find that girl Head God. What was her name… Amaterasu. I wouldn't mind losing to her."

Jackson sweat dropped, he was hoping he wouldn't become this crazy about girls when he got older.

"By the way, who's your friend there? I saw you walk in with her."

Jackson looked over at Cana, who was trying to not to make eye contact. And that pretty much confirmed who her dad was.

He also had a feeling that if Cana wanted to talk to Gildarts, then it would be somewhere private.

"About that… can we talk outside in the back where we all train?"

Gildarts raised a brow, but nodded. And the three of them, walked outside to the back of the guild.

"So, what is it you want to talk about? Unless you're itching for a little fight? Then I wouldn't mind."

Jackson placed a hand on Cana's shoulder, and said," No, it's my friend here, who wants to talk. Her name's, Cana."

"Oh, what is it you want to talk about?" Gildarts asked as he looked at his unknown daughter.

Cana swallowed, and tried to speak, but no words came out. She looked over at Jackson, who was giving her a reassuring look, and nodded.

That gave Cana a little more courage, but realized she had to say it now before she lost her nerves again. She looked at Gildarts directly in the eye and quickly said," I'm your daughter!"

It took Gildarts a moment to catch up on what she said, and as soon as he did, he had a look of shock.

"What!?" He finally said and got down to Cana's level to look her over. But instead of being happy, he looked freaked out. "Who is your mother? Sarah? Asuna? Mikasa? Kushina? No the hair is all wrong! Nami… Rei… Hana… the Yuko sisters?"

"Sisters?! Just how many women have you been with?!" Cana yelled in anger.

Out of all the scenarios Jackson thought of. This wasn't one of them. Although, it did make him wonder if his mom and Gildarts were ever together. He and his dad were friends when they were younger. But he then remembered that they were never together. Although he briefly thought that would make him and Cana half siblings… he was going to have to ask his parents once they got back from their job.

"You know what. I don't care to know. I just wanted to tell you that I exist. I didn't know what to expect after I told you. I guess I know." Cana angrily said.

'Besides, the Wren's have been nothing but nice to me since I joined the guild. They're like a family to me.' She thought.

She was taken by surprise when Gildarts wrapped his arms around her, and held her close.

"Cornelia. Your Cornelia's daughter." Gildarts whispered. "There's no doubt about."

Cana started to let the tears flow from her cheeks and weakly said," Yeah."

"She came to the guild a year ago. The same day I officially joined. I promised her that I would help her get the nerves to tell you." Jackson said, as he felt a few tears of his own coming down.

Gildarts looked at Jackson, and nodded his head in thanks, and continued with a fond smile," Cornelia was the only woman I ever truly loved. Marrying her was the happiest moment of my life. She left me 8 years ago, cause all I ever did was work, and it killed me. When I heard of her passing, it was like a shock to the heart. But, I now know I have a part of her with me. If only I knew. Then I would've stayed and been with the both of you in a heartbeat."

"It's fine, you don't have to be there for me, I'll understand." Cana said.

"Well, you're stuck with me. Cause I promise I will always be by your side and be there for you. If you'll let me."

Cana, who was crying, nodded, and hugged him tighter. She looked over at Jackson's direction, and mouthed 'thank you'.

Jackson nodded with smile, and wiped a stray tear from his face. He decided to walk back into the guild, knowing they would want some privacy. But also sending a happy look at his best friend.

In all honesty, I was starting to tear up while writing the last part.

I wanted to set Jackson and Cana's friendship, and I explore more that in the next chapter. I hoped you all liked this.

Isis is the Egyptian Goddess of magic, fertility and motherhood, death, healing and rebirth. Unfortunately nowadays's, when one thinks of Isis, they automatically assume the Terrorist Group.

Poseidon is the Greek God of the sea. Funny thing, when I was looking him up, I found out he can be bad-tempered and moody. It sorta reminded me of Aquarius. Maybe they can be related in some way.
