On the island Crete, a titaness laid in a bed, grunting and groaning in pain.
"Why did you do this to me, Zeus?" The titaness questioned, glancing at her ball-shaped stomach, then glaring at the ceiling of her house. "How do you expect me to deliver a child by myself?"
The titaness, known as Leto, grunted again as pain spiked through her. She then started to feel water run down her leg.
"Good grief," Leto mumbled, exasperatedly. Leto has wondered if she should pray to a god for help, but then decided against it, as she knew nobody would want to help deliver a baby from a titaness.
Leto was knocked out of her thoughts when she felt a presence enter her home. Leto grabbed a celestial bronze knife she kept near her just in case Python, who was sent by Hera, decided to come and 'check up' on her. Although, this presence felt warm and comfortable, not poisonous and fear.
"No need to feel threatened, Leto," a voice spoke.
Leto visibly calmed down as she put the knife away and glanced at the direction of the voice she knew too well.
"Hestia," Leto said. "I assume you're here to help me-"
Leto was cut off again, much to her annoyance, as more pain flooded through her body.
"It's coming," Leto mumbled.
Hestia wasted now time preparing as fast as she could for a baby. Hestia had no idea how to deliver a baby, so she would need to wing it. You also might be wondering how Leto had known Hestia. Well, they had kept in touch over the years, as when the first titan war happened, Hestia and Leto stayed neutral, as their domains didn't allow violence to one another. So, Hesita flashed herself to Crete, as she had known about Leto and how she stayed neutral in the titan war, and Hestia hoped Leto would lend her a place to stay till the war was finished. Hestia had made the right choice as not only had she made a new friend, Hestia was able to stay away from the whole war while she got to spend time with Leto, and get to know her better.
Hestia soon was ready to deliver the baby, having changed clothes and got some items that might help deliver the child.
Hestia looked up to the pained face of Leto.
"I'm ready when you are," Hestia said softly.
Leto then nodded.
"Alright then, start to push here," Hestia said to Leto.
Leto complied and started to push, albeit painfully. A second didn't go by as Leto felt wave after wave of pain. Soon though, like five minutes later, the pain waves Leto had been receiving slowly diminished. Leto's eyes lit up in recognition.
"Is it here?" Leto asked, her eyes growing hopeful at seeing a child of her own.
At first, Hestia didn't respond, making Leto grow worried.
"Hestia, what's wrong?" Leto asked fearfully.
Leto's voice broke Hestia out of her gaze.
"No, nothing's wrong," Hestia said. "Infact, your child... wow."
Leto grew impatient at Hestia's words.
"Well stop ogling at my newborn and let me see it," Leto demanded.
Hestia nodded and handed the newborn over to Leto.
The first thing Leto noticed was the gender. Male. The boy had tan skin and had Oily Raven-black hair, which made him look like a supermodel, except the fact that he was a new-born. Leto was about to comment on her child on how beautiful he was when the boy opened his eyes. Both women drew a gasp as they saw eyes that had a look between crystal blue and sea-green. Said colors swirled around in his eyes making it look like a fight for dominance, a fight that would never be won.
"He's so beautiful," Leto said.
Hestia nodded.
Both women were interrupted, again, by three bright flashes. When the light faded, three women stood there. The fates.
Hestia bowed, while Leto would've, but with her current situation, she couldn't.
"You may rise, goddess," the fates said.
Hestia compiled and rose.
"What do you require of us?" Hestia said when she had risen.
"Your son has a long life ahead of him. He will have bumps and twists in his life, but if he is strong enough, he will prevail. He will be the game changer in the future war that Phoebus Apollo will receive the prophecy for. Like we have said, your son will have to train, so he must be taken away. Leto, you will have twins later on this century, who will also play an important role," The Fates said.
Leto frowned. "I just gave birth to him, does he need to leave now?" She asked.
The Fates nodded. "If you want, we shall tell you his domains, then he will have 10 days to spend with you, then he will take his leave," The Fates said. "His domains are Beauty, Music, Humbleness, Loyalty, Hope, Healing, Love and Martial Arts."
Hestia smiled at the domain of Hope, as she would have someone to help her with all the people who have lost hope, and maybe he could help the people install hope insides themselves.
Leto nodded sadly, but still a little surprised by his domains. That's a lot of domains. She thought. "Okay, I accept," Leto said.
The Fates nodded. "We shall make him an adult, so you may enjoy the experience with him. After though, he shall change back to a baby boy, to which we would give him to a trainer we've acquired," The Fates said.
"If you don't mind me asking, Milady's, who is the trainer?" Hestia asked politely.
"The trainer is Chiron, who seeks trainees, so we had asked Chiron if he was up for a challenge, to which he accepted. I know what you will be asking. Yes, you will see your child again and yes, your child is a god so he won't die," The Fates said.
Leto nodded, satisfied with the answer she got without even asking a question.
When Leto had nodded, two things happened. The Fates had flashed out, and the boy started to grow. His legs and arms grew larger, his hair went down to shoulder length, and his muscles were more defined. The mirth and happiness in his two colored eyes never faltered as he grew, making him look just like an older version of the baby she had just held in her arms.
The boy then looked at Leto. "Mother?"
Leto nodded at the boy.
The boy then ran over to his mother and crashed her into a hug.
"I love you, mom," the boy said.
"I love you too. Do you have a name, or should I name you?" Leto asked.
Her son chuckled at his mother's question.
"Well, I don't go by a name, as I was born but I have the mind and body of a 25 year old, so, gave me a name and we can start our fun," he said
Leto thought for a moment. "Hmm, Perseus?" She asked.
"Perfect." Was Perseus's only reply. "Now for the fun," Perseus said, smirking.
Line Break: 10 Days
Tears streamed down Leto's face as it was time for her son to go.
"Do you have to go? I had so much fun. It gets really lonely when Hestia isn't here," Leto cried.
Tears sprung from Perseus's eyes. "Yes I have to leave, but I won't be gone forever," he said.
Leto nodded. "Fine, but you better be back soon, otherwise…" Leto didn't finish the sentence, but the threat still loomed in the air.
Perseus paled at his mother's threat. "Yes mother," he squeaked.
Leto was about to speak again but Perseus shrunk down into what looked as a 10 year old child.
The Fates then appeared in a flash and spoke. "It's time."
I know. Short chapter. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for those who liked the hunter of olympus, but I'm sorry. This story will be a Perseus X Zoe, as Perseus will save Zoe from getting forced upon by Hercules. I will try and make next chapter better.
