Prologue
The Incredibles panted as they had just finished up a long fight against the Underminer, who had lured them into a trap set in the abandoned, sealed-off city of Willamette, Colorado. He planned to have them overwhelmed and devoured by the zombies that lurked there. Unfortunately for him, they found him before his plan was even completed and thwarted his plan to launch drills all over the United States in an attempt to rob banks nationwide.
"That'll teach you to try and mess with America's money!" Violet said as they watched the authorities take him away.
"Well, another battle ends in our victory!" Everywoman said.
"I say we celebrate with a big fast food party!" Aunt Incredible said.
"I agree!" said Dash.
"Me too!" said Violet.
"All right, everyone, first we need to make our way back to the chopper on the mall roof." Elastigirl said before the heroes heard a multitude of zombies headed their way.
"Uh-oh, better get on our horses!" Eric said before they made a run for it to the Willamette Mall, where even more zombies were waiting for them. They punched, kicked, and barreled through any crowds that got in their way before they made it to the roof. Unfortunately, by this time, the zombie horde had grown massive and they were gaining fast. The heroes shot, blasted, and fought each zombie that came their way, making retreats further back to the roof whenever an opening was present.
However, at one point, Dash stayed back in order to hold off a crowd of zombies while Mr. Incredible readied the chopper. He punched, kicked, tripped, and anything else humanly possible, keeping the zombies at bay. Finally, Mr. Incredible had the chopper going. Everyone piled on with Dash bringing up the rear, pursued by the zombie horde.
"Hurry up, Dash!" Voyd said as the chopper started to lift. Dash ran and jumped, managing to grab the leg. Unfortunately, before anyone could help him up, the zombies started to form a chain that grabbed on to Dash's legs and managed to hold down the chopper some as the Incredibles started using their powers and weapons to try and get rid of the zombies, but their efforts proved futile as the zombies just kept coming and coming.
Dash looked at the zombies before looking at his family, realizing what might happen eventually. A tear fell from his eye before he looked at them and said, "I love you guys. Take care."
Elastigirl's eyes widened, "Dashiell Robert Parr! Don't you dare!" she said before Dash let go of the legs and fell down into the zombies below.
"DAAAAAASH!" everyone shouted as they watched the zombies crowd before the chopper flew away fast from having been released. A few minutes later, Mr. Incredible managed to gain control and landed the chopper before everyone rushed to the roof of the mall, strangely finding all the zombies gone, but no sign of Dash anywhere.
"Dash!" Mirage called.
"Kid!" Eric called.
"Where are you, son?!" Mr. Incredible called.
"Dash!" Elastigirl called.
No response.
"Could the zombies have dragged him off?" Violet asked.
"Not likely." Eric said.
Evelyn used one of her tentacles on her suit to perform a blood analysis scan on the ground. Strangely enough, she found not even a drop of Dash's blood.
"The scan shows there's no blood of his on the ground. He may have run off." Evelyn said.
"But, he looked like he was prepared to die." Screech said.
"Well, if he is still alive, we'll have to issue a surveillance sweep. Everyone, split up into teams and search all of Willamette." Mr. Incredible said. Everyone agreed and began the search. They looked in all the different districts for about three hours before they regrouped back at the chopper.
"How did it go, everyone?" Mr. Incredible asked as he comforted Elastigirl.
Everyone looked sorry. Mirage had her hand over mouth as she sobbed. Karen covered her eyes as she cried. Evelyn bowed her head but still cried. Winston tried to comfort his upset sister while trying not to cry. Even Eric had his eyes closed and his teeth gritted as he tried not to cry himself.
"We're sorry, guys. We searched every nook and cranny, but there was no sign of Dash. We even tried to reach him by communicator, but he didn't answer. It's as if he just vanished." Helectrix said.
The rest of the Parrs then broke down, upset that their little boy was gone and that there was nothing they could do to find him.
A few days later, everyone was gathered at the NSA HQ, having assumed the worst had happened. Search teams had been deployed, but Dash was nowhere to be found in Willamette. The NSA had decided to hold a memorial service for the young Super. Everyone was upset and the Incredibles needed more comfort than ever before.
But, little did they know, this terrible event would lead them into one of their biggest and darkest adventures yet.
