Whitlock: Calm down Isabella, you've got this.
Isabella: I'm nervous Jasper. I haven't seen Charlie since…Since….
Bella: It'll be okay Future me. Let's just get this going.
Isabella: *Deep Breath* Okay….Let's face him.
Twilight: Future Unbound
Chapter Six
Forks, Washington – Bella's Truck
Isabella Swan (F)
Tears streamed down my face as Victoria tossed the decapitated head of my father in front of me. His blank eyes staring up at me while his face was so etched in both terror and agony. "Oh Bella," Victoria said as she knelt down and petted his hair.
"I didn't want to do it to him," Victoria whispered softly, her tone almost mournful. "I watched him you know? For days and days and he seemed like an honorable person…I person that I wanted to know. I got to know him…I found myself liking him…"
I stared deep into her eyes and I saw regret but if I wasn't so hurt and pissed
"Despite the hell I put him through, he never gave you up." Victoria said with a tone respectful, almost mournful tone in her voice. "A part of me respects that and wishes I didn't have to do it but because he was with you, I had to do it."
"I'll kill you!" I raged as I struggled against my bindings.
"You won't be killing anything Swan," Victoria hissed out, her mournful gaze changing to one full of scorn. "And unlike Charlie, I will enjoy ripping you apart limb from limb."
"Hey, are you okay?"
My past self's voice caused me to shake myself away from the memory. Despite losing a lot of memories from my change, Victoria and Charlie's dead remains was the one memory that would permanently be etched into my undead heart.
"I'm fine," I replied, knowing she would catch my lie.
"Right…You want to try that bullshit on someone not me?" Bella asked.
"Just a lot on my mind," I admitted. "The last time I saw Charlie was when he was already dead…I don't know how I can face him."
"You face him like you face everything else," Bella replied.
"I'm used to killing Bella…I sorta forgot how to have a normal conversation with people outside of battle…" I replied softly.
"And here I thought you were going to say it because we're super shy," Bella joked, which made me smile a bit. The truck was silent for a moment when Bella murmured "Was it really that bad?"
It didn't take a genius like Embry to know she was talking about Charlie's death.
I looked out the window and gazed at the sky and said "When changing into a vampire, we have a hard time keeping memories of our own so we normally need help in remembering them during the process. Charlie's death…It was etched into my heart, mind and soul and it is something I could never forget…"
"O-Oh…" Bella stammered softly.
I could tell by her tone that she wanted to cry and I was proven right when I smelled the scent of tears coming from off of her.
And if I could have, I would've cried right along beside her.
Forks, Washington – Swan Residence
Charlie Swan
"Sorry Chuck! Mom is currently talking to Leah. She'll call you back as soon as she's done!"
I couldn't help but smile at Seth's exuberant tone. It was wonderful to hear compared to the dead eyed, tear streaked face I saw during Harry's funeral.
"No problem Kiddo, just wanted to check in on her," I replied.
"Kiddo? You kidding me Old man? I'll be towering over you soon enough. Catch you later!" Seth exclaimed.
"Later Seth," I chuckled out before the phone line went dead. I hung up as well and placed my cellphone into my pocket and sighed. It was so strange. Both Sue and Billy were excited to have me over before they were called away and now they're both busy.
It sucked that despite all of our years together, I still felt like an outsider to them but it is what it is. If they were in danger, they would have called me to let me know so no news is good news in my book.
I kicked my feet on the living room table and leaned back only to hear the door open and a shout of "Dad, you in here?"
"I'm in the living room kiddo!" I exclaimed before I turned back as I shut my eyes. I could hear two sets of feet walking into the living room and when I opened my eyes and looked to the entryway, I felt my heart freeze.
Standing next to Bella was another girl.
The girl was slightly older looking, slender but there was a curves to her body and her bust was a little larger. She was frightfully pale, similar to the Cullens actually, and her eyes were ruby red but despite the cosmetic differences, I saw my daughter's face and her eyes in this woman.
It was like looking at a clone of my baby girl.
But how could that be?
I was in the room with Renee when she gave birth to Bella and we knew ahead of time that we were only having one child. "H-Hi…" The other girl said with a sad smile that reminded me so much of the one Bella was sporting now.
Bella was the only child between us and Renee and there was no way this was a mere lookalike. Hell, despite it being a little deeper, she sounded just like Bella.
But then that still leaves me confused as to who she is…
I stood up from the couch and walked to the girl and gazed down at her and she quickly looked away. I then glanced to Bella, who did the same. So alike and yet so different but it was too uncanny. Too outlandish but I knew that I was staring at my daughter.
The same daughter that stood beside me.
But while I had no idea how, I decided to take the plunge, so with a deep breath, I asked the slightly taller girl "You're my daughter, aren't you?"
Surprise appeared on her face, which caused me to grin. "I got it in one didn't I?" I asked her.
"How did you know?" she asked.
"You look exactly like Bella," I replied. "There are some differences but I can see it as clear as day but I must know….How?"
The two glanced at each other before Bella's phone began to ring. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and glanced at the screen for a moment then showed it to my tallest daughter.
Still weird…
She glanced at it before she nodded at Bella. "Well…It's a long story…." My shorter daughter replied before she looked at the taller one and said "You'll need to explain it because I'm still confused about it."
"Whoof. Okay…Let's go find a seat," The tallest one said.
The three of us were soon sitting, with me on my lazy boy and the pair on the couch.
"Okay…" The taller one said. "I'm just going to say it right now. Remember when you had me watch Terminator 2?"
I nodded.
"Well…The role of Arnold Schwarzenegger is played by yours truly. I'm Isabella Swan, daughter of Charlie Swan and Renée Higginbotham Dwyer and Dad, it's nice to see you again," The tallest one said.
I blinked
Oh boy…I think I'm going to need a drink…
Forks, Washington – Streets of Forks
Edward Cullen
Jasper and Bella.
A part of me knew this had to be the case. The way he acted when he found Bella nearly drained in Phoenix tipped me off to that point and while I was happy to have that weight lifted, I was…disheartened to know Jasper was her mate.
I love Jasper, faults and all but all I wanted was Bella to remain a human so seeing her as a vampire and knowing Jasper was her mate disheartened me because now, I know she'll be turned. And while I don't love her in that way, I still care about her wellbeing…But despite his lack of control, Jasper is a good man and I know he'll be able to watch and protect after her so I don't have to worry.
But what did concern me was the future.
They were telling the truth, from what I saw from Future Jasper showed me as much but something was eating at me.
It was obvious that there was a traitor in their group.
And knowing myself well enough, I know that the traitor was me… Just from my body language and avoidance in the brief moments told me this.
But what would cause me to betray my friends and family? It makes no sense to me. It was then a caught a whiff of a familiar scent.
Blueberries…
Only one person has that sort of scent…
"Hello Edward!" A voice called out to me from afar. I shook my head and turned to see Angela Weber across the street.
Street?
I looked around to find myself in a neighborhood of some sort.
I didn't realize I walked so far from my home.
I lifted my hand and gave a brief wave hello and that prompted Angela to look both ways and run across the street, her yellow dress and brunette hair flowing in the breeze. I always liked Angela. She kind, insightful in some sense but she was shy at times.
"I didn't expect to see you in my neck of the woods," Angela commented with a friendly smile, which I returned.
"I admittedly wasn't expecting to be this far," I admitted to her.
"You look like you have a lot on your mind when I saw you. Do you want to talk about it?" Angela asked with an inviting smile.
At first I wanted to refuse and send her on her way.
But instead, I smiled and said "Care to walk with me for a while?"
Angela smiled.

Charlie Swan
"So…Let me make sure I have this straight," I began, as I faced my daughters.
"You, my tallest Isabella, are from the future and you are a vampire….And the Cullens, all of them, are Vampires as well. The Quileutes are shapeshifters that can shift into wolves. There is a vampire court, vampires with special abilities and the world is screwed over and I die…That sound about right?" I summed up.
The pair nodded.
"I see…" I said before I stood up and made my way to the coat hanger, where my holster sat, and removed my standard issue handgun and stared at it.
I always knew this town was strange but this…This took the cake.
But I could tell both of them are telling the truth and in a way, it would make sense. But still, there's a lot information that got tossed out at me and I just need to confirm it some other way as insurance that this is all true.
This may be foolish but I just need to confirm it.
"Isabella," I said after a moment. "If you are truly a vampire then you should be able to stop this," I said before I turned around and pulled the trigger but without warning, she stood in in front me, her hand on the barrel. There was a brief "Pop" sound when she removed her hand, the bullet fell to the ground.
Flattened.
"Have you lost your mind?!" Bella screamed from the couch in alarm.
"It's okay Bella," Isabella said to herself…well…Bella, with a grin. "I had a feeling you would do that."
"Can you show me your hand?" I asked.
Isabella opened her palm and I gingerly took her hand.
Not a single blemish.
Guilt immediately filled my veins. What an idiot. I could have proven it in other ways and yet I did that! Isabella must have seen the guilt because she whispered "You had to get more proof. It makes sense. No harm no foul."
"I had to make sure. I'm sorry," I replied softly before I took a breath. "It's funny…When I woke up this morning, I wasn't expecting to find out mythical beings existed but here I am. A mortal in a world of Vampires and Wolves and God knows what else…"
"It's a lot to take in. I went through it too," Bella said as she walked up to me.
"Why didn't you tell me when you found out?" I questioned both of them.
The pair looked at each other then back to me with blank expressions on their faces, which easily read my answer.
"Okay, you got a point," I relented. "But still, knowing myself, I would have still investigated it…But now at least I understand why you both went to Phoenix and why Billy, Quil and Harry were always so distant with me, despite us being friends since childhood."
I then smiled at the pair and said "You guys told me a lot of things tonight and I don't think it all set quite in yet so I'm going to go on a drive to think."
I saw both of their mouths open and I immediately said "Relax. You both made it quite clear of the ramifications of me spilling your secret and I won't. I promise."
They closed their mouths but still looked a little skeptical but I understood why. They had told me a lot of things tonight. Things no mere man were supposed to know.
"If you're sure dad," Bella said with concern. I ruffled her hair, which caused her to groan but smile.
"It's so strange…" Isabella murmured, which prompted me to look at her curiously.
"When I was still human, I admittedly was unsure that you loved me. You always seemed so distant and yet you knew I was your daughter without knowing the whole truth and now you're keeping our secret, despite that secret killing you….I can't believe I ever doubted that now…"
"Isabella…" Bella murmured sadly.
"You doubted that I loved you?" I asked Isabella before I turned to Bella. "Both of you?"
"Y-You always seemed so hands-off with me," Bella admitted as she lowered her head. "I was just never sure…"
I felt hurt.
Not because of them. They told me how they felt and in a way, they deserved to think that. "Girls. I'm going to say this just once so you both better listen up," I told them. I took a deep breath and said "I'm not a vocal guy. I know that…But from the moment I held you both, and yes, I'm saying both because you while different races at this point, you two are the same person and my daughter and I'm speaking for both timeline versions of me. Whew, still weird."
The two girls chuckled, which made me grin.
That should lighten it up a little. "When you both"
"I watched you both grow, walk, and talk and up until the divorce and the separation, I loved you both more than my heart could take and when you both left with Renee, I was broken inside...And when you both came back, I was ecstatic but I was afraid…You both were so grown at that point, I didn't know how to really connect with you both and that's my fault," I admitted softly.
I could see that my words were having an effect on both on them. Isabella was practically radiating sadness and Bella had tears in her eyes. I placed my right hand on Isabella's right cheek and my left on Bella's left cheek as my own eyes began to water.
"Isabella, you've gone through so much. More than I could have ever expected and even now, I can see the hurt in your eyes. My death really haunted you and as human, I'm sorry that I put you through so much agony," I told her softly.
I then looked to Bella and said "And I was so blind to not notice everything that had happened to you. Especially with the incident in Phoenix and I'm so sorry that I failed you. As a father, I was supposed to protect you from harm and that is my fault…I failed to be the father you both needed and I won't make that mistake again…"
"That's not true!" Both Isabella and Bella shouted.
"I…" Isabella breathed out, sadness radiating in her eyes. "N-Neither of us made it easy for you…" She admitted.
Bella had tears falling down her eyes as she added on "We were both so over the s-small town scene when we showed up and I didn't really know how to take moving to a n-new town and being with someone I-I really didn't know anymore…We kept that wall up to not let you in, despite knowing you were trying…"
"But you showed us that you really did love and care for us," Isabella said sadly. "From then to now…."
"You didn't fail as dad," Bella added on tearfully before she hugged me. "You're honestly a really good dad!"
"You really are," Isabella said as she hugged me as well and it was then I let the tears fall from my eyes. "I love you dad…"
My girls...
I wrapped my arms around them, struck by how hot Bella was compared to Isabella, and held them tight. "I love you both so much," I whispered.
We soon disengaged from the hug and I let out a teary laugh. "It's been a long night, perhaps you two should go and get some rest," I told them as I wiped my eyes.
"It's only 9 dad," Bella said as she wiped her eyes as well.
"Is it? It felt so much longer than that," I said as I looked at the clock and sure enough, it had just turned 9:00 P.M. "Well…In the meantime, why don't we watch a movie together? Just the three of us?"
The two exchanged a look before they smiled.
"The Lion King," The two said in unison, which caused me to chuckle.
These are my girls alright.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
After two hours of lion goodness, Bella was fast asleep leaned up against Isabella but admittedly, I found myself watching the two of them. Throughout the movie, they were reciting lines from the movies and generally having fun.
Meanwhile, all I could do was think about them and the guilt of what both of them went through while I was unware/dead.
Watching this movie after so many reveals was not a good idea for me but this was their favorite movie when they were younger and they needed some sort of relief and happiness.
But all it did was help me realize that as a father to them, I need to be strong to protect them. And as a human, I don't have the ability t…
Wait…
There is a way…
I stood up off the couch and looked to Isabella and said "I'm going to go for drive to clear my head. Keep an eye on Bella for me."
"Sure," Isabella said with a smile. "Just be careful out there dad."
Instead of responding, I walked behind the couch and placed a kiss on the top of her head and said "I have two daughters to come home too now. I'll be even safer than before, I promise."
She snorted but I could see the smile on her face as I leaned down and kissed the top of Bella's head. I ruffled Isabella's hair and walked out of the house with one objective in mind.
The Cullens.
Rain:….YEP! For too long, Charlie has been shafted by many of the FF I've read under the Twilight flag but no more! It's time for him to have some of the spotlight. And the traitor was revealed by the traitor himself but looks like Angela has distracted Edward from his thoughts…I wonder what will happen next…
Edward: As do I…
