'Thoughts'

The war ended. Harry defeated the dark lord. The minute the man fell to the ground, dead, Shacklebolt tried to arrest him for the murder of Tom Riddle. Luckily he was able to escape by apparating away before the auror could arrest him. Now he was a fugitive on the run. Knowing how little the magical world knew about the muggle world he went there.

Before he did that he went to the bank. He got there just in time. He had disguised himself before going there and found Granger and Shacklebolt trying to get access to his vault. He wasn't surprised she was trying to help. She had always been more loyal to those in power then she was to her friends. Since the bank wasn't run by wizards and he was alive he was allowed access to his vaults. He had them transferred to Andromeda and Teddy. After he was born Andy took Teddy into hiding and moved to France. Remus had told him when they had met up during the final battle before he and Tonks died. He hadn't had a chance to tell the others so no one knew. Now the ministry and his ex-friends couldn't get a hold of his money.

After that he changed his name. He was now known as Alexander John Ritter. He also permanently changed his looks. He sported blonde hair. It was a golden shade. The sides were cut short and the top was longer. His eyes were now a light green instead of emerald. He had gotten a hold of a correction potion so that he didn't have to wear glasses. Alexander even changed the way he walked and refused to use his magic. He didn't want them tracking him.

The teen bought a small flat in London. He worked as a waiter during the day and at night he was a cashier. Many people loved him and would come in just to see him. Alex took great amusement anytime Granger entered the restaurant or the store. Not only did she make a fool out of herself for trying to pay with wizarding money but she also failed to recognize him. Each time she questioned him she did a horrible job. If he had been a muggle he would have sent her to the nut house. She practically told him there was a magical world and as a muggle he wasn't worthy. Every time she called him a muggle he would ask what that was and she would blush bright red and leave.

The blonde was twenty one when he began to get sick. Doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. He managed to get a private healer from Korea. He had been visiting and checked him over. Dumbledore had put a block on his core. His magical levels had grown and were too much on the block. At first using small amounts helped but then it wasn't enough. Exhausting his core had stopped working as well. The core couldn't be removed without killing him. Not removing it was also killing him. The healer prescribed potions to help him get through the day.

Two months from his twenty second birthday the healer had found him dead. He had died in his sleep. On Alex's wishes he reported only to the muggle authorities. As far as they knew he died from very aggressive lung cancer.

A funeral was held a week later. His co-workers, customers, and friends attended. Now the wizarding world would never find him. The healer had informed the bank and Andy. She and Teddy secretly attended his funeral. The woman managed to get him buried next to his parents without the wizarding world finding out.

That wasn't the end of his story. It was the end of his mortal life and the beginning of his immortal life. His story now continues after his death.
