A.N I don't own Star Wars

The week went by rather quickly with little Talia managing to get Anakin wrapped around her little finger. That was when Eva revealed that Talia will have no memories of her parents.

Complementing Dina on her cooking was easy. "Dina, you know the food in the Temple is horrible. The Navy and Rebellion are worse."

She just glared at her daughter. "Did you tell Anakin to compliment my cooking?"

"Mom, why would I ever do anything like that?"

Anakin was laughing when Dina left the dining room. "Here are all of Eva's baby hollos. We will be looking at them after dinner."

"MOTHER!"

"Honey, you have never brought anyone home before. Don't ruin my fun. I did this to Luke."

Qui-Gon was watching this in the force and was snickering. Dina and Arrun were always hilarious. All of them do need to know the truth about Mace.

At the Rebellion headquarters, various members of high command were doing interrogations of former knights and padawans. They were learning how kriffed up the organization is. That was when Master Taal said it. "It's possible that Mace Windu has fallen to the dark side in his quest for power, to destroy the Jedi from within. He has demanded hyper obedience to Code and if anyone remotely deviates, they are expelled. Mace has said singling out padawans and younglings for ridicule is the only way that they will learn. Also, there are no mind healers within the Order."

General Reiken was shocked. "Will we be expecting Kenobi?"

"I doubt it because he allowed for Anakin to be singled out too. Several knights and masters who were not within Mace's inner circle have criticized him for not standing up to Mace. What Kenobi wants is a seat on the Council and if sacrificing your padawan is a means to get there, then so be it. He is a staunch traditionalist that he would not even see the bigger picture. I know Kenobi dismissed Anakin with something that was off with Palpatine and this was way back when Anakin was twelve. Anakin ended up with several hours of extra meditation plus he had to clip the hedges in the room of a thousand fountains for a month. Kenobi is no saint."

High Command was learning there were two factions within the Order, one who is hyper-observant of the Code and the other who sees reality. There is verbal and emotional abuse within the Jedi.

Obi-Wan had managed to get off Tatooine and sneak back into the Jedi temple. He was on a mission, to find the evidence that Qui-Gon had hidden. It was beyond eerie to be in there after the massacre but he had a higher purpose. That was when he found it, it was hidden in a supply closet in the mess hall behind a panel. There were several stacks of datapads. Obi-Wan grabbed them all and left.

He went back to Tatooine where he looked at the evidence that Qui-Gon had been accumulating for years. He agreed with Qui-Gon's assessment, Mace is a Sith. What a perfect way to destroy the Jedi than to do it from within. The torment of the Anakin, Zora, and others, it was to make them crack and fall to the Darkside.

Obi-Wan saw the evidence of Mace's crimes, of how he murdered Anakin's father and how he kidnapped Anakin and his mother. He had a feeling how Mace could have convinced a majority of the council that Anakin was "supposed to turn dark", he would have had to use a mass mind trick on all of them.

There was more, there were numerous hollos of former knights and padawans. Several of them died under suspicious circumstances. Several of them had "dark" typed in at the bottom of the hollo. There were even "expelled" labeled under several knights and padawans.

Mace could be linked to several massacres on the outer rim which he knew the Jedi never would have found out about. If it was outside of the Republic, the Jedi turned a blind eye to it. He knew who to go to, Siri. She had left the Order two years ago because she could no longer stand what the Jedi were doing in the war. She said blind obedience to the Code will lead to everyone's death. He could sense she was in Mos Espa and he left for there.

He went into a Cantina and found her downing a drink. "I was visited by Qui-Gon, he said you had some intel for me?"

Obi-Wan smirked. "It's about Saint Windu."

"Do you have someplace more private we can talk?"

Obi-Wan took her to his "home" where he had been living. He activated the data pads.

"Anakin will not talk to me since I so actively agreed with Mace with expelling Anakin. He did violate the Code by marrying Padme Amidala but he did not turn dark as Mace proclaimed. Qui-Gon had been collecting evidence for years of Mace's crimes which includes killing Anakin's biological father, enslaving Anakin and his mother, numerous massacres on the outer rim, and destroying knights and padawans he deems a threat."

"Obi-Wan, I had known for years that Adi was stealing Janus Erol's work. There is no way to check and balance the Council. Fortunately for you, I am an intel agent for the Rebellion. There have been numerous knights, masters, and padawans who have essentially left the order and are seeking asylum within the Rebellion. If they had stayed on Dagobah and followed what the Council wants, you will end up dead."

Siri soon left for the Rebellion headquarters because this needed to be in the hands of High Command. Qui-Gon's intel is going to be needed to bring Mace to justice. If anyone should have been expelled from the Order, it is him.

Back on Yavin IV, Anakin was laughing at Eva's baby holos. He heard her mumble into his arms "Worst boyfriend"

"Eva, if my mother had baby holos of me, she would have done the same thing. Just think, Talia will be traumatized by them when she brings home her first boyfriend."

Anakin and Eva went outside into the gardens to look at the sunset while Dina gave Talia a bath. Suddenly Anakin felt a force presence of someone he had not felt in quite a long time. He turned around and saw the ghost of the late Qui-Gon.

"Anakin, do you want me to get my parents and Janus?"

"That might be a good idea."

"Hello Qui-Gon, it has been a while. I take it this is not a social visit?"

"Unfortunately it isn't. I do know that no one within the Order used a mind trick on Padme to make her divorce you. You can't use a mind trick like that, it is impossible for the most seasoned master to manipulate someone like that."

"That's what I figured when she started pointing fingers. She had been looking for excuses to divorce me because she wanted the trophy husband."

A minute later Janus, Dina, and Arrun were outside in the garden. Eva went to finish Talia's bath.

"Qui-Gon, it's been a long time old friend."

Qui-Gon had been friends with all of them through their youth and even through the time they were all knighted.

"This is about Mace and how he is the one who destroyed the Order from within. Mace had fallen to the Darkside thirty-three standard years ago…"

It took quite a while for Qui-Gon to explain everything to all of them. Anakin had a tear come down his face. Mace killed his own father, enslaves him and his mother. Then there are the countless massacres and tormenting and eliminating those who he deems a threat.

"Qui-Gon, besides bringing Zora to justice, the Rebellion will need another trial for Mace?"

"I am afraid so Anakin. He won't be easy to take down and Yoda will side with him no matter what. Mace has mastered all of the lightsaber forms that a Sith uses, be careful and try to avoid losing another arm. If he can be captured alive, excellent but if he can't, that will be understandable too. I will be visiting all of you again soon."

Qui-Gon vanished. It was not the time to have Anakin reconcile with Obi-Wan. He knew Anakin is not ready to face Obi-Wan yet and if the two were to meet now, it would shatter their already destroyed relationship.
