A/N: Please note for new readers that this is the third book in the series, the first being The Dreamer. I do recommend reading book 1 and 2 first as it will explain a few things that would be confusing within this book without them.

Chapter 1: The Beginning

September 2015

Platform nine and three quarters was always busy on September first, it was the way it had always been. Whether be younger siblings running after their older ones, hoping to join them on the train. Anxious parents saying goodbye to their first born as they head off for their first year at Hogwarts. Friends catching up after a summer apart and parents chasing after their children because of some forgotten item.

But in recent years it's been busier than usual because of what the public believed to be the presence of famous people. Yes, children of Quidditch players and performers alike have attended Hogwarts over the years and for those seven years everyone would fight for the chance at just a glimpse of said witch or wizard.

But it has been the last six years that have housed more attention than needed, more than what those particular families wished for but they dealt with it with as much grace as they could muster while focusing on their children, or their family members they were seeing off to Hogwarts.

Six years had passed since it first began, since Teddy Lupin first entered the platform and stepped onto the train to head to Hogwarts like his parents had done before him, having been sent off by the family he held dear because they were the ones that helped him be close to his deceased parents. His grandmother raising him while his godparents were best friends with his father ever since their own time at Hogwarts. Even being seen off to Hogwarts by his sister meant the world to him.

But as the years progress more children from the Weasley, Potter, Black, Wood and Carrow line attended Hogwarts causing more mayhem and chaos than the parents wished would occur but they also knew it happened this way because they were the children of famous people and everyone was watching and waiting to see if they followed in their parent's footsteps.

As always with the chaos that was Kings Cross station every September first there was a teenager standing there in the middle of it all, watching as her family disappeared behind a hidden barrier that Muggles didn't know existed unless they were informed otherwise, which usually happened when they were informed of their Muggleborn child.

A look crossed the teenagers face as she watched the other members of the Magical Community around her stare at her parents, it was something was starting to bug her the older she got.

Anyone in the Magical Community who followed the Quidditch League knew of Willa and Oliver Wood, both players at Puddlemere United back in their day. Willa went back to playing Quidditch a few months after giving birth to her youngest, Thea but after having two years off she was struggling to keep up with those around her. She tried for a couple of years but it was when she missed out on Thea and Miller finally learning to ride a bike that she realised that she wanted to be at home with her children than spending all day long on a Quidditch Pitch, missing out on the small moments with her children.

To begin with she was just at home but after a while she realised that she needed something else, much like her own mother did and it was perfect timing as the Assistant Coach at Puddlemere United that worked with the Chasers left and they offered it to Willa after Oliver mentioned it in passing that Willa was looking for something that didn't require her attention full time. She was thrilled to be back in the Quidditch World, not ever realising that this was something she could ever consider but she also remembered that neither of her parents ever thought they would be Professors at Hogwarts.

While Oliver had stayed on in his position for a couple of more years, being forced to retire after he had once again taken a bludger to the head placing him unconscious for a few days and the worry on his wife and children's faces was enough for him to step back. At the time Oliver was Captain on the starting team, something he was thrilled to receive only couple years prior to his retirement and as such the members of the Management team knew the potential in Oliver and when he retired it was perfect timing as they needed a new Head Coach. He of course, didn't even have to think twice before accepting the offer.

The two of them only had two children, Cedric who preferred to be called Miller by those around him due to the immense pressure that surrounded the name Cedric while Thea was their youngest.

Miller was questioned at a young age as to why he wanted to be called 'Miller' and he explained it carefully, not wanting to upset his mother knowing just how important Cedric was to her, he just didn't want another connection to someone else, another person that the community kept comparing him too. His parents who were famous Quidditch players and now coaches for Puddlemere United and Cedric Diggory was an astonishing student and Prefect in his own time as well as being chosen as one of Hogwarts Champions during the Triwizard Tournament. So, instead he chose to go by his middle name and everyone around him accepted his choice.

Thea stood there and watched as Turner, who was technically her uncle but more like a brother due to the rather large age gap between him and her mother due to the wars that the Magical Community had to suffer through, not to mention Sirius' wrongful placement in Azkaban. She took a deep breath as Turner disappeared, it was now her turn to follow but she took a moment, thinking before she went to move. She didn't think there was anything special about going into her fourth year, the previous year was when they got to pick their electives while next year was when they had to focus on their OWLs before going into their NEWTs.

It was once again that she wished to have a normal send off to Hogwarts experience knowing exactly what was waiting for her family on the other side of the barrier. She knew they would be hounded by strangers, wanting an autograph from her parents or to question them on their thoughts of the upcoming Quidditch season, or even asked questions about their famous friends.

It was when Thea heard a familiar whistle that she spun around, quickly coming face to face with her best friend, Arabella Adams. She let out a squeal before rushing towards the girl, having not seen her all summer.

Arabella Adams was a Muggleborn that Sirius had originally introduced to the Magical Community by bringing her, her letter to Hogwarts.

Sirius had introduced the two of them when he needed someone to come along with them to Diagon Alley. It didn't take long for the two girls to become close, they had instantly clicked when they were in Diagon Alley and then Arabella returned to her family and not seen until their first night at Hogwarts when both girls were sorted into Gryffindor together.

The two quickly became inseparable, everyone knowing that where Thea was, Arabella wasn't far behind.

Arabella also not only got along with Thea, but the boys that happened to be the friends that Thea grew up with, the same ones that she saw as brothers. It also didn't help that the whole group of friends were more inclined to pull prank and other sorts of mischief instead of being better behaved students.

Thea let go of the trolley and quickly ran towards Arabella, throwing her arms around the other girl's neck.

"You are never allowed to leave again. I swear, next time your parents decide traipsing off to another country is a good idea you're coming to stay with me. Our parents be damned," Thea declared, and Arabella let out a laugh.

"Man, I missed you too Thea," Arabella responded as she dug through her pocket and quickly pulled out her phone.

Thea was still confused as to why Arabella always had her mobile phone on her when it never worked at Hogwarts, or even once they crossed the barrier. Arabella's response was always a wave of her hand stating it was a Muggle thing she didn't understand.

"So, since I spent Christmas with you and didn't return home, I missed out on the big news that was Taylor Swift releasing a new album. She called it '1989', so simple. But listen," Arabella quickly rattled off before shoving the ear buds into Thea's ears and pressing play on the music.

Thea looked at Arabella as she listened to the song was instantly in love with it, but it was the sight of Arabella's wide eyes that caused Thea to pull an ear bud out.

"Thea!" Willa yelled out.

Thea waved her hand at her mother, "just wait, I'm listening to something," Thea yelled back as she pushed the ear buds closer into her ears.

She truly loved Muggle music but around the home she grew up in as well as the homes of her family no muggle appliances worked, there being too much magic around and as such she always leant on Arabella for her fill on Muggle music and she truly couldn't wait to hear the rest of this particular album as well as which other of her favourite Muggle musicians had released music.

"Thea Dora Wood!" Willa yelled once more.

"Shush mum it's Taylor Swift!" Thea yelled back while Arabella let out a laugh.

"I don't care, if you want to keep that broom of yours," Willa threatened.

Thea hung her head and let out a groan. She pulled the ear buds out and handed them back to Arabella before turning around and flashing her mother a smile.

"Bit hard to play Quidditch without a broom mum," Thea pointed out.

"Yes, you telling the ex-Quidditch player the logistics that are involved with playing Quidditch are a smart way to go. Now through the barrier," Willa argued.

Thea looked over at Arabella, a smirk gracing her face before looking back at her mother. "You were a Quidditch player?!" Thea exclaimed.

Arabella slapped a hand over her mouth to stifle the laugh that was attempting to escape. She loved the Wood family, she truly did and she appreciated them taking her in during the breaks when she didn't wish to be at home with her own family but she also didn't want to risk the chance of them removing the privilege she has of always being welcome in their home.

"Mummy, what's Quidditch?" a young boy questioned as he and his mother walked past the three of them, overhearing the conversation taking place.

"Thea now," Willa snapped.

Thea knew that with a Muggle boy overhearing the word 'Quidditch', meant they were at risk of exposing themselves and the magic community.

Thea looked over at Arabella, who just shrugged in response.

The two teenagers didn't say anything as they did as they were requested and walked over to the barrier, waiting until they could discreetly enter.

"Bye mum," Willa spoke before looping her arm through Arabella's and pulling her towards where she spotted the rest of their friends standing, mostly with thanks to Turner deciding it would be appropriate to arrive at Hogwarts with lime green hair.

Thea tried to convince him that he looked like an idiot, that just because he was a Metamorphmagus doesn't mean he go and change his hair to colour that was utterly disgusting and not to mention it hurt to look at.

"What's with the hair?" Arabella questioned.

"What's with your face Ari?" Turner questioned in response.

"You're an asshole," Arabella muttered but still hugged Turner in greeting all the same before moving on to the rest of the boys.

"You know Arabella, I think it's comments like that are the reasons as to why you aren't friends with the other girls in your dorm," Michael Bennett suggested, causing the two girls to look at him.

Michael Bennett was the son of Oliver's childhood best friends Nikki and Zane and as such due to the close bond of the parents, all the children grew up together.

Nikki and Zane, who much like Oliver and Willa played Quidditch Professionally and while Nikki went on to become an Assistant Coach at the Hollyhead Harpies only a couple of years ago while Zane had followed a similar path to Willa, he become one of the assistant coaches that worked with the beaters.

"This coming from the Slytherin who always spends time with Gryffindors, right…" Thea responded with a smirk, but Michael just grinned in response.

They were but also weren't shocked at Michael's placement in Slytherin. They were shocked because the rest of the group of friends were all placed in Gryffindor much like their parents but sometimes the children forget that both Nikki and Zane were home-schooled, not having attended Hogwarts and were never sorted.

"It's actually Thea's fault as to why the girls don't like us," Arabella pointed out and they all turned to look at Thea.

"What'd you do sis, put a hair colour changing potion in their shampoo?" Miller questioned and Thea rolled her eyes.

"Nope, I actually haven't done anything like that to our dorm mates. Nope they don't like us because I said that you were off limits in terms of dating. Last year they were going on and on about our Hogsmeade weekends and who they were hoping to go with," Thea explained.

"Her response," Arabella stuck her thumb out at Thea. "Better not be one of my brothers. She had this look on her face as she said it before she got up and left the dorm, didn't return until the next morning."

"You threatened a bunch of girls Thea?" Turner questioned.

Thea looked up at her uncle, wondering where he was going to go where this. At times it seemed like he approved of her actions and other times he didn't.

"Please, just eighteen months ago you were complaining that girls were too much effort after seeing Vic get ready one morning." Thea threw out causing the others to laugh while she just grinned up at her uncle.

Turner stared at Thea, blinking a couple of times before he turned and left shaking his head as he went in search of someone.

Thea turned and looked at the rest of them, a grin on her face. "Good, now that the prat is gone…"

"Thea," Miller warned.

"Cedric," Thea shot out with a grin while Arabella clasped a hand over her mouth to once again muffle a laugh while a deathly glare appeared on Miller's face.

Miller appreciated as to why his parents, more so his mother, had given him the name Cedric the same as to why Turner had been given the middle name Remus and Thea had been given Dora and it was because they were in remembrance of lost loves during the war. He just wished Cedric was a middle name like the rest of them.

Arabella looped her arm through Thea's, "alright, you've annoyed both of them before we have even gotten on the train this morning. I think you need a time out," she spoke as she pulled Thea away from the rest of the group.

It was as they were leaving that she could hear Miller question as to where Haiden, the last friend in their group was.

Haiden was the eldest son of George and Angelina Weasley, who happened to just two of Willa's best friends growing up and much like with Michael because of his parent's friendship with Oliver they were all pushed together as children.

It helped that they were all close in age, all due to attend Hogwarts together while some of the other children they grew up around weren't as lucky.

Haiden, much like Miller, requested to be referred to by his middle name feeling the same pressure of his first. George had decided to honour Fred with his eldest, while Fred had made it through the war it was only just barely and there was a time where no one knew if Fred would make it. When Haiden was younger they did called him 'Freddie' to try and limit the confusion between the two living Fred's but it was after he turned nine that he didn't like the name 'Freddie' anymore and requested Haiden, much like Miller had done a few years earlier.

"What's really going on Thea?" Arabella questioned quietly, sneaking a look at her best friend.

Thea just gave her a sad look before pulling herself free and running over to where she spotted Turner standing with the Potter family.

Thea wasn't quite ready to talk about what happened during the summer with anyone else just yet. She knew it would have been better had Arabella not spent her summer in another country with her parents but there was nothing that she could do now.

Turner didn't say anything as Thea appeared beside him, he just wrapped an arm around her shoulders and tucked her close.

For the Potter family it was their eldest, James, first year at Hogwarts. Despite them having been present every year to see Teddy and the rest of the children off it felt different to both Harry and Ginny knowing that it was finally James' turn to go to Hogwarts

"You excited for Hogwarts James?" Thea questioned, a soft smile on her face.

James turned and looked at her, a frown on his face before he looked up at his parents but didn't say anything before letting out a sigh and facing the two teenagers.

"Why do I have to wait until after Christmas break for my broom?" James questioned causing the two adults to choke on their laugh knowing full well that in the past that, that rule had been lifted for at least one first year. "What?" James questioned, knowing that they were covering up something.

Thea pulled away from Turner and stepped closer to James as she wrapped an arm around his shoulders and pulled him away from his family.

"Thea," Harry spoke, giving her a warning but she just flashed him a smile over her shoulder.

"Now James, are you ready to battle the troll for your sorting?" she questioned, causing a look of shock to appear on the young boy's face and she let out a laugh.

But no one said anything to dispel Thea's comment as they all knew it was a Weasley family tradition to tell the ones heading to Hogwarts for the first time that their sorting involves fighting a troll. Thea also couldn't help it as she looked up at her aunt and uncle, seeing the smiles on their faces at hearing the troll comment.

It was when James looked up at Thea that his annoyance at possibly fighting a troll went away as he noticed the look on her face. "Are you okay Thea?"

Thea pulled her gaze from the couple that held her attention and looked at James, giving him a smile. "I'm fine, why don't you go back to Harry and Ginny as we will have to be on the train in a minute and I'm going to find mum and dad."

Thea pulled away from James and allowed him to leave while she went in search of her own parents, unsure as to where they could have gone but she had already said goodbye to them, unsure as to if she wanted another round of 'are you okay' questions.

But it was when she was slowly making her way towards the train that someone grabbed her arm and she turned to find her aunt Emerson standing there. It was at the sight of her aunt that she almost broke from the images that had been haunting her all summer.

Emerson stepped forward and pulled Thea into her arms, holding her close and giving her a chance to calm down knowing just how much she didn't want to break down in the middle of the busy platform.

Emerson had always told Thea, and Arabella by default, that if they ever needed someone to speak to about anything that she would always be there for them both. Emerson knew that at times Willa wouldn't understand Thea's reactions to something, or just wouldn't see it as an issue despite Willa having changed dramatically since having both Miller and Thea.

Emerson didn't know if Thea tried to speak with Willa about this first or just chose to go to Emerson about it, but she also wouldn't break Thea's trust by going to Willa just in case.

Thea pulled away after a second and forced Emerson a smile, waiting for her aunt to speak. "Are you sure you are going to be okay?"

Thea shrugged and looked around for her friends.

"Thea."

Thea let out a sigh before turning and facing Emerson once again, "I'll have to be, won't I?" she spoke softly.

Thea turned back and looked around, looking for her friends but she quickly gave Emerson a hug before leaving and searching for her friends on the train.

She knew it would be hard being at Hogwarts this year, despite how easy she believed the year to be but her studies weren't concerning her, it was the images from the summer that were haunting her and making her wonder how she would get through the year.

She made her way through the train, grateful when she found Arabella sitting alone and not with the boys.

"Alright what happened while I was gone?" Arabella questioned causing Thea to hesitate about entering the compartment.

Thea hated that she hesitated like she did as it gave Arabella the ammo that she needed to know that something happened.

Thea walked over and took a seat directly across from her best friend, a smile plastered on her face. "You know, the same old boring shit as you call my summers." Thea hoped to convince Arabella otherwise, but it was the raise of Arabella's eyebrow that showed she couldn't.

"Oh, I won't be surprised if you did spend your summer at the Puddlemere Grounds because you know, your parents work there." Arabella argued.

"Oh, actually Nan brought home a baby dragon early in the summer. You should have seen dad's face," Thea spoke, a large smile on her face at the memory but Arabella just shook her head.

"What happened?" Arabella questioned once more; determination written on her face.

"I think I might go check on James, Aunt Ginny would kill me if she heard that James rode the train alone," Thea spoke as she stood up and headed for the door.

"Please, you and I both know he can sit with the many number of people in your family. Aren't Dom, Lucy and Molly going into their first year as well?" Arabella questioned.

"As if James would sit with those three for the ride, as if Dom would sit with those two anyway. Dom doesn't really get along with Lucy and Molly, they try to avoid being alone in a room together while Lucy and Molly are just as happy to have time alone to read whatever book is they have their head stuck in," Thea pointed out before she opened the door and left, ignoring Arabella's calls as she did.

Thea didn't want to go and sit with James; she knew full well that he would be sitting with Teddy and his friends regardless as to what Victoire thought of the first year joining them.

She didn't want to join a bunch of Ravenclaws, not able to deal with their condescending attitudes for too long, unsure as to why her cousins were sorted into that house anyway, but she knew that the Sorting Hat saw something in everyone for them to be sorted into their respective houses.

Thea continued to walk down the length of the train, smiling and waving to people she knew as she went before reaching the end. She let out a sigh of relief as she pulled the door opened and feeling the fresh air hit her face.

She stepped out and leant her elbows on the railing, taking deep breaths as she watched the county side fly by.

She just hoped she could get through this year at Hogwarts like she told her aunt she would be able, but those images are still haunting her.

.oOo.

"Thea," Arabella hissed, a sharp poke to Thea's side as she did but all it did was earn a glare from the other girl.

"Stop it," Thea hissed back before looking up the front.

They had all arrived at Hogwarts with no further incident, Thea stayed out breathing in the fresh air for at most an hour before returning to where she had left Arabella, but the girl didn't ask anything just suggested maybe finding the boys.

But now they were in the middle of the Sorting Ceremony waiting for McGonagall to signal the start of the feast and for the food to arrive.

"What's going on?" Miller questioned, noticing the interactions between the two best friends.

The girls shared a look, but nothing was said. Thea faced her brother but still said nothing and as the two locked eyes Thea's eyes quickly changed colour before the two faced the front of the Great Hall.

To anyone else, they wouldn't think anything of the small interactions between the two siblings, because everyone was well used to the Metamorphmagi that roamed the halls of Hogwarts since there were currently four of them spread through the years and while Thea wasn't one for changing her appearance like her brother, cousin and uncle were it did happen on occasion.

But to Thea and Miller they had long ago created a system, using their ability to their advantage when they wanted to silently communicate between themselves. The bright red that her eyes flashed were a warning to Miller, don't ask.

It wasn't until food appeared in front of them all that conversation was allowed to begin properly, allowing friends who hadn't seen each other during the train ride to begin catching up, allowing friends to turn and talk to friends that belong to another house that are seated behind them.

They had heard that things were vastly different at Hogwarts when their parents and grandparents had attended before them but during the Feasts things appeared to be the same. Students sat in the long house tables and typically they weren't allowed to leave their seat, but it didn't stop them from turning around and speaking to those seated behind them.

"Alright, what is going on?" Turner questioned.

"Who knows, they're girls," Miller cut in with a wave of his hand before he reached for a bread roll, giving Haiden and Turner the idea that it was best to not question what was going on. "Now please continue with the story about what happened in Australia before the first years came in."

Arabella let out a laugh before she continued with her story. Thea barely paid attention to Arabella's story, knowing it may possibly be repeated at another stage since it was possible that Michael may ask the same question since the story had started as they were entering the Great Hall.

Miller carefully watched his sister as Arabella spoke, he was interested in Arabella's story, but he was worried about his sister. He noticed a change in her during the summer but every time he questioned her, she shot him down stating she was fine. He also couldn't help but notice that Thea was also spending more time at the Carrow house with Connor, Hartley and Hendrix during the summer.

His sister's plans for the summer weren't entirely shocking as the two families were incredibly close, much like the Bennett's and Weasley family but with Conner being nearly 2 years old and Hartley and Hendrix being a year below, they had their own friends. It didn't help that Hartley had Sarah Jordan, the only child of Veronica and Lee, while Hendrix had Franco, the youngest child of Zane and Nikki Bennett but as always the children were always allowed to spend time with friends that they met outside the usual group of families that they grew up spending time with.

But he knew his sister well enough to know that when she didn't want to talk about something that she wouldn't let up, she was that stubborn and their father states she gets her stubbornness from their mother while the comment always causes everyone present to laughing stating he was exactly the same.

It wasn't until dinner was finished that Arabella pulled Thea aside, the two girls looping their arms together as they headed towards the Gryffindor common room.

"We don't even know the password," Thea commented, and Arabella rolled her eyes and continued pulling Thea along with her.

"Like that will be a problem, someone will know it. We can either sneak in behind someone or wait for someone to catch up with us. Now I am going to ask this one last time, what happened this summer?" Arabella questioned and Thea let out a groan as she threw her head back and stared at the ceiling.

"Mike has a girlfriend," Thea responded, causing Arabella to stop in her tracks.

"I don't believe you," Arabella spat out, but Thea shook her head before she continued her path towards the Gryffindor common room.

Arabella took a moment to recover before took off in a jog to catch up with Thea. "And you've been in love with him since you were 5."

"You're exaggerating," Thea pointed out and Arabella shrugged.

"What happened? It can't be as simple as him having a girlfriend."

"We had plans to play Quidditch, but he hadn't turned up, I went looking for him and bam, there he was snogging Rory Chilton," Thea explained, attempting to keep her tears at bay at the painful memory.

Arabella was only half correct when she claimed that Thea was in love with Michael, love wasn't involved but there was definitely feelings on Thea's part and she regretted telling Arabella about them back in second year.

Thea never expected anything to happen between the two since Michael and Miller were best friends, that both families were incredibly close and growing up they were treated as siblings but she didn't expect it to hurt as much as it did when she saw the new couple kissing.

"Wait, Chilton? Isn't that the slut from Hufflepuff?" Arabella questioned.

"How a fourteen-year-old can be a slut is beyond me," Thea muttered.

"Wait, I thought she was in her sixth year?" Arabella questioned.

"No that is Hilton, who has apparently slept with all 5 boys on the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team. Very similar names," Thea explained, unsure as to why Arabella always had this habit of confusing the names that float through the rumour mill.

"Regardless," Arabella waved her hand. "None of those girls are pretty. Mike has very low standards," Arabella joked as the two stopped by the Fat Lady portrait, waiting for someone to join them to open the portrait.

"You know you can't be mean to him. You have to act like nothing is wrong," Thea pointed out.

Arabella let out a sigh. "Fine! But only because I love you," Arabella pulled Thea in for a hug. "It'll get better, we just need to find you a boyfriend."

Thea pulled away, letting out a laugh as she did before heading into the common room behind the seventh years that had the password.

.oOo.

Morning came and Thea awoke before the rest of the girls in her dorm, she knew Arabella would wake up soon enough but spend most of the morning getting ready for the day and it wasn't exactly something she wanted to witness, or risk being dragged into.

She loved her best friend, thanked her grandfather every day for bringing Arabella home with him that lone day before they all began their first year at Hogwarts. Even though they were both sorted into Gryffindor and would have met eventually; it was that day with them spending time together at Diagon Alley that allowed them to realise how much they had in common.

Despite how much the two girls were similar there were some things that was different between the two, Thea who grew up around boys isn't that girly, hates the idea of wearing make-up and doing her hair unless absolutely necessary while Arabella had grown up to always look her best and look much like the girl she is because of her parents.

As such, Thea was quite happy to have Arabella join her for breakfast once she was finally awake.

When Thea entered the Great Hall for breakfast she was met with the usual sight that she had come to prefer instead of the four long tables used during Feasts and other important ceremonies and she was told it was something that was implemented after the war. The long table at the front of the hall was still present for the Professors but throughout the room was smaller round tables, allowing students to intermix between houses and sit with whatever friends they had allowing for interhouse friendships.

Thea found an empty table and walked over knowing that her friends would eventually come find her, Michael was usually the first one up normally going for a run in the morning before having breakfast, normally something she joined him on while they were at Hogwarts but she couldn't bring herself to do it after how she found out that he had a girlfriend during the summer.

"You feeling alright Thea?" Michael spoke as he took a seat at the table.

Thea looked up at him, "just wasn't feeling too well this morning, I'm sure it will pass." She gave him a small smile and he nodded, looking at the food in the middle of the table with a frown on his face. "What is it?" Thea questioned.

"Why did you have to pick the table that doesn't have pancakes?" Michael questioned.

"Umm because waffles are better and plus after a run you need protein, so go for the eggs," Thea responded, loading her plate with the bacon and eggs.

It was the one downfall to the smaller tables, not all food options were present because of the size of the table.

Michael didn't say anything that was coherent, just mumbled a few words and Thea raised an eyebrow at him.

"You just want pancakes to cover them in maple syrup, honestly the amount you use you wouldn't even need a pancake or waffle because all you can taste is maple syrup," Thea pointed out and Michael just grinned at her as he began eating the bacon and eggs.

"Seriously are you two having the pancake vs. waffle argument again?" Miller complained as he, Turner and Haiden joined them at the table.

"I don't understand as to why you two keep insisting on having this argument when it's the same every time. Mike prefers pancakes while Thea prefers waffles but always insists on having bacon and eggs instead," Turner pointed out, helping himself to the breakfast laid out, himself preferring sausages instead of bacon.

"Says the guy who doesn't like bacon," Haiden pointed out and Turner just grinned. "Dad loves it, means more for him at home."

"Which mum steals anyway," Miller pointed out, a laughing coming from them all as they remembered the regular arguments that broke out between Sirius and Willa whenever Willa ate all the bacon.

Due to Octavia and Sirius being at Hogwarts for most of the year they technically didn't live in their own house when they were home for breaks. Instead they lived in the house that Willa and Oliver raised their children in, the same house that they all hid out in during the war.

The was large enough that they could all live there and not be underfoot. It gave them a large open space as a backyard giving the children somewhere to fly, it being something that Willa always wanted growing up but she couldn't never bring herself to request to move, not after stating that she couldn't when she was young.

"Morning everyone," Octavia spoke, a smile on her face as she took a seat at the table.

"Morning," everyone responded, giving Octavia a smile.

"No Ari yet?" Octavia questioned and Thea shook her head. "Very well, your timetables are here and as always Mike, Saxon gave me yours."

"I would have thought Professor Nott," Thea retorted, only to be earnt a look from her grandmother.

"Please give one to Ari, don't try and convince her that classes are cancelled for the first week again. I will see you all this afternoon," Octavia spoke as she placed a few pieces of parchment down on the table and everyone reached forward grabbing their own.

They were all told that once upon a time the classes were always set, that everyone in the same house and year had the same timetable, that each class always had only two different houses but it all changed after the war, again allowing for a different mix of students. You never got a say as to who you were placed with but you were always guaranteed to be placed with at least one house mate in any of your classes unless it was electives because sometimes only one person in a particular house could pick a certain elective.

The had learnt early on that it was common for Thea, Miller, Michael, Turner and Haiden to split up as much as possible during classes except for two. They found that when it came to Transfiguration that they weren't being spilt up and they put it down to the fact that they behaved that little bit better when being taught by either Sirius for whatever reason.

"Eh, not too bad." Miller commented, them all looking over each other's timetables to see what classes they all shared.

"Ooo timetables," Arabella spoke as she slid into the last empty seat and quickly helped herself to one of the muffins in the middle of the table, slowly picking at it as she looked over Miller's shoulder at his own timetable.

"You took longer this morning," Thea commented, and Arabella pulled a face at her.

"Speaking of which. Turns out Mira has a boyfriend, so now she just has to look her best every day now," Arabella complained, and Thea let out a groan.

"Who the hell in their right mind wants to date that girl. She is seriously annoying," Thea complained.

"No idea, didn't ask," Arabella responded, reaching for the timetable left in the middle of the table assuming it was her own. "Looks like I have Charms and Herbology with you Miller."

"Haiden is with us for those as well while Thea is with Turner," Miller responded.

Michael stared at his own timetable, comparing it to Thea's. "Not at all surprised, Transfiguration, Modern History and Care of Magical Creatures."

As always, it ended up with a swap of timetables, them all attempting to work out who was with who and how their classes would go for the rest of year.
