A/N: Alright XD I have edited the first chapter so that it isn't a big wordy mess. But I'm glad that at least some of you find this idea intriguing and amusing. As always, please enjoy!

Leo's POV:

At first, he didn't register the pain his body was in. When he did, he felt like all of his major and minor muscles were being reworked while implanting something inorganic inside every single fiber. Sure, it was better than the pain of dying, but not by much. After a few seconds, the pain subsided quite a substantial amount, and he finally had the idea of looking around whereever this place that he was suffering was. Except for his own body and his clothes, everything else was pitch-black. 'Well shit. It looks like I've died yet a second ti-' A female voice interrupted his train of thought.

'Hello new survivor. I am Helena, and I will be guiding you through the process of getting through the magical barrier between Reality and The Ark.' It was then when he realized that he wasn't hearing anything through his ears. 'Yes survivor. I am an artificial intelligence Hephestus installed that was designed to guide you and the other surviors throughout your training.' The others. "Great lady, where are my friends?" He spoke into the void. 'Your friends are also being spoken to as we speak, interacting with my other forms. Also, they have gone through the same pain and are in an identical room to you and I right now.' He inwardly breathed a sigh of relief. At least his friends were okay. Helena made a noise like she was clearing her throat. Unfortunately, since he had been listening to her via telepathy, it gave him a minor headache. 'I haven't got all day and in the current sitation you are in, every second counts.' He nodded, agreeing. 'So, if you look at the underside of your right forearm, you should see a rhombus-shaped object.'

He raised his arm and sure enough, a rhombus-shaped object was implanted right into it. "Eeesh. No wonder it hurt like hell." 'Apologies survivor. Anyways, if you press on the center part of the artifact, it should make a digital menu of your collective stats pop up.' "Woah, hold on. My stats?" 'Yes survivor. In the Ark, your mortal self is present, but only partially. Your mental state is the only one present in this simulation. Your mortal bodies and all of your weapons are still in reality, waiting for their consiousnesses to return.' "Dad really overdid it with this one, didn't he?" She scoffed. 'Oh please, you havn't seen half of it.' "Oh really? Like what?" Leo asked, half in sarcasm, half in sincere curiousness. 'Now, may I ask you to press the artifact?' Leo did as obliged. He saw a blue screen pop in front of him, with 10 bars of stats and 40 squares right of it. 'Good. The 40 squares are called your inventory slots. You can put the artificial resources and objects of the Ark into each one of these spaces.' Leo pondered this for a second. "So, basically the same thing that my tool belt does?" 'Yes, but it has a much bigger carrying capacity.'

He pondered this for a second. Well, since they were in an artificial world, he guessed it made some sort of sense. 'As for the stats, you'll have to figure them out on your own. Now, I must send you on your way. However, because of your father's wishes, he has ordered me to come with you and your friends to further assist you with information.' He could have sworn that he had felt a twinge of annoyance in her voice, but he shook it off. 'Now, I shall send you and your friends to the Ark. You will lose consiousness, but do not be alarmed, as it is natural and not at all fatal.' Then, for a second time that day everything blacked out.

I'm so sorry about the short chapters and large amount of dialougue. ㅠ. ㅠ Once these informational and explantory chapters are finished, hopefully things get better.
