It's a sunny day in the Kanto region, as a 15 year old pokemon trainer known as Ash Ketchum with his trusty Pikachu on his shoulder are on the road to home after his recent win of the battle pyramid. Recently his friends went their separate ways, Brook and Max went back to their respective homes, and May is her way to the Johto Region for the next leg of her journey. While Ash himself is thinking about his future events to go on, when suddenly he stops.

"Hey Pikachu". Ash says catching his best friends attention.

"Pika pika-chu"(what is it Ash?) the electric mouse asks his trainer knowing that he can somehow understand him.

"I'm just thinking, when I go off to a new region I only bring you, and just leave all my other pokemon at home. It kinda feels like I'm abandoning them, after all they just sit around the coral all day and don't get much training in". Ash says surprising Pikachu at how smart he's starting to sound.

"Pi pika pikachu".(What are you planing Ash) Pikachu asks Knowing he's planning something

"What if we stay at Pallet town for a while and train my pokemon for awhile before we head off to Sinnoh, and when we do leave bring my old pokemon with me to Travel, even switching them out every once in a while". Ash suggests as Pikachu gives a squeak in agreement knowing ash isn't done yet.

"We can even ask Professor Oak to teach us more about pokemon while we're home, I'm sure we still have a lot to learn. And umm I had one more Idea I wanna ask you about buddy". Ash says nervously catching Pikachus attention.

"Pika pi"?( what is it Ash) Pikachu asks worried about what could make Ash this nervous.

"What do you think about doing Pokemon Contests as well as Gym battles, I mean it's not impossible for a trainer to do both, and I really had fun doing that one contests with May in the past ''. Ash rambles on bringing out his half of the ribbon smiling fondly at the memory.

"Pi pikachu pikachu"(what brought this on ash?) Pikachu asks surprised at the idea.

"Well I was thinking about Wallace. He was an extremely strong trainer and coordinator, so it's not impossible to do both. Plus I could come up with a bunch of new combo moves and ways to use my pokemon in Battle if I do contests. Besides not all my pokemon may not like to Battle some may like contests more". Ashs says surprising Pikachu at how smart the Idea is, after all becoming a Pokemon master has always been Vague so it might be smart for ash to branch out a bit and try more things.

"Pi pikachu pikachu pika"(That's a great idea as you should do it). Pikachu tells Ash excited to see that all this other pokemon think.

"Thanks buddy, I can't wait to tell Mom and Professor Oak about my plans, but there's something I need to do first ''. Ash says rushing of path into the Viridian Forest, After all he's got a promise to fulfil. After about 10 minutes of running Ash reaches a familiar clearing, and starts looking around for an old friend.

"HEY PIDGEOT IT'S ME ARE YOU HERE"! Ash yells looking for one of his oldest traveling companions, after a few seconds the sounds of large flapping from behind Ash make him turn around to the sight of a Pidgeot around 2x the size of a normal one. Smiling Ash walks up to the mighty Bird recognizing her from anywhere.

"Hey Pidgeot it's been a long time, how the flock"? Ash asks walking up to his old pokemon giving her a hug.

"Pidgeot". She yells looking up with a smile on her beak. Ash following her gaze notices a couple of other but smaller Pidgeot flying in the air above them

"So they all evolved Huh? Does that mean you need to stay around to protect the flock"? Ash asks Pidgeot, as she shakes her head no. "great well then do you want to join me again"? Ash asks holding out her old Pokeball as an offering. Instead of answering Pidgeot leans down and pecks to ball getting sucked in, after a second the ball beeps confirming capture.

"Welcome back to the family Pidgeot". Ash says to the ball smiling, pocketing the pokeball Ash looks to his best friend. "Time to head home pikachu". Ash says walking back to his home not knowing how much his journey is going to change thanks to his choices today.

So that's chapter one I hope you all will join me on this journey.
