RR (Review Responses):

The headless chicken: Maybe for other characters but not Satoshi and thank you.

DG2: Trust me when I say, if it doesn't benefit Satoshi in some way, he's not going to "fix" anything. I was originally planned on having him confront Haku during the fight but decided against it. I figured with his personality, he'd want to fight Zabuza, less about saving Kakashi and more about testing himself.

(Chapter 10)

Drunken laughter erupted from the inside of a bar as a large group of men crowded two men as they beat one another viciously. The larger of the two having a clear advantage over the other in muscle and speed, despite his size. The shorter man picked himself from the ground and tried, in vain, to tackle the large man to the ground.

The man didn't budge and grinned down at him with a wicked gleam in his eyes. Lifting his right hand high, he fisted it and brought it down onto the man's back, instantly sending him back to the ground. The man looked up smugly as everyone laughed again and as he did, he caught the amber eyes of a petite auburn haired woman.

She stood in the corner with her arms crossed over her ample chest. The black dress she wore hugged her small waist and stopped just above her knees. Her hair pulled up and put her neck on full display.

The man felt his mouth water and his pants tighten.

The woman glanced down, and for a moment he thought she seen, but she glanced up at him and then down, pointedly.

The man broke eye contact to look down and saw his opponent struggling to get up. For some reason, he turned back to the woman, almost as if he were looking for guidance. The woman gave a look that sent shivers down his spine, in fear or anticipation? He didn't know. Or at least, he didn't until the women placed a finger on her chest and slowly trailed it under her breast before bringing it up to her neck.

She quickly swiped it across her neck.

His eyes widened when he caught the movement and, as if under a spell, turned back to the man still struggling to get up and kicked him onto his back. Stepping over the body and dropped his full weight onto the man's stomach, knocking the wind out of the man as he straddled him. The man underneath possessed a face only a mother could love. His nose was broken and blood trailing down past his lips, there were several cuts and his left was swollen shut.

The bigger man, Jiro, began to rain down punches to the man's face, ignoring the splatters of blood with each punch brought. After another minute, he grabbed the man by the neck and with enough pressure, he snapped his neck.

Everything happened in such a blur, he couldn't remember even wrapping his hands around the man.

For a moment, everything was silent until the men around him broke out into cheers. The man stood up from the broken corpse and instantly turned in the direction he seen the woman in but because of the crowd around him, he couldn't spot her. "Jiro!" he heard as one of his friend's grabbed at his shoulder and pulled him down. "We need to leave soon, he's waiting." He said.

Jiro sent an annoyed look before breaking the hold on him. "The guy can wait a couple minutes." He said before turning and shouldering through the crowd and found himself at the wall he spotted the woman at.

Letting out a huff, he looked around and asked the closest person if she had spotted the woman and when he received a negative fought the surge of annoyance that made him want to break her neck, also.

Instead, he walked out of the bar and inhaled the fresh air. The cool air hitting his heated skin was calming to his nerves.

"That was impressive." He jumped and spun around to see the woman standing inside the alleyway, at the beginning, in the same position as in the bar except her hair was free of its tie and fell around her shoulders in loose curls. It made him want to grab it and pull her head back to display her neck.

He gave a lecherous grin. "I know." He sauntered up to the women, expecting her to lose the cool and aloof attitude, but she only stared up at him with an expectant look on her face. "What's a pretty little thing like you doing around here? Don't you know it's dangerous?" He eyed her up and down. "Guys around here aren't used to seeing a face like yours."

Her laugh was sultry and airy, he felt turned on and slightly insulted. Blue eyes peered up at him. "You have more to be afraid of here than I do." She teased and pushed herself away from the brick wall and went to move around him.

"Hey, where ya goin'?" He questioned as he reached for her but she danced out of his reach.

"Keep up." She said and giggled as she ran around the corner.

He instantly sought after her, not questioning how the woman could run so fast in heels, and didn't catch up until they were in the woods and she stopped to lean against a tree. She turned to Jiro, who was panting and red in the face. "That's enough!" He panted out. "Enough games."

He stormed up to her and went to grab for her neck when a gloved hand wrapped around his wrist. "That's not how you treat a lady." And then, Jiro found himself breathless and on his back with a masked person standing over him with their head tilted. "This was so much easier than I thought it'd be."

"Who the fuck-whoa!" Again, this person, a kid at that, threw him with no effort. His back hit the tree and when he lifted his head up, he was face to face with a gauntlet. Claws just a hair width away from touching his eyeball. It caused him to go still with fear of losing an eye. "Wha-what the fuck is going on?" He glanced over the auburn woman and his eyes widened when she melted away as if she were never there.

"What's happening is I need some information and you have it." The boy said, his voice slightly muffled by the mask. The gauntlet removed from his face giving him a clear view of the boy standing before him but he winced when the weapon nicked his cheek, drawing blood. He, also, recognized the weapon he had. "That belongs to the Demon Brothers."

"It used to." The boy snorted and branded his newly acquired weapon. "Now it's mine and I just infected with a poison that will affect your mind in a few minutes."

"Why you little bastard!" He pushed past the fear and away from the tree when the boy went through some hand signs and he, suddenly, couldn't move.

"So, we're doing this the hard way." It wasn't a question more than it was a statement. "So be it." He lifted the gauntlet and stepped into the man's space and with a quick swipe to the right blood splattered against his mask and a scream of pain echoed through the woods. "Scream all you want; I'm not stopping until I get what I came for or you die."

(The next day)

"You look tired." Sasuke commented as he sat next to Satoshi, who had his hand on Kakashi's bare forehead with medical chakra surging through his palm.

"Fuck you." Was Satoshi's reply. His temper slightly shorter from lack of sleep. He spent the entire night torturing the guy until he lost his patience and left him strung up in the forest. The man, probably, died an hour after he left from his own injuries or a carnivorous animal stumbling upon his body.

He hoped the latter.

"How long do you think he'll be in bed? It's been two days." Satoshi ignored the Uchiha in favor of focusing on their sensei. It wasn't anything he didn't already know. The sharingan rapidly drained the man of his chakra and stamina, he could also see that it was putting a strain on his vision in his sharingan eye. Removing his hand and canceling the chakra, he sighed. "Kakashi-sensei, will be fine, what we need to worry about now is keeping this family safe, seeing as we decided we're continuing the mission."

"Well, Kakashi took out Zabuza and the hunter-nin killed him." Sasuke pointed out. "So, unless, he already has a deadly ninja like Zabuza in wait, I doubt we have much to worry about."

"The hunter-nin didn't kill him." Satoshi stated.

Sasuke turned to him sharply. "What do you mean? We saw the corpse and Kakashi checked his pulse."

"Yeah, Kakashi, who was teetering in and out of consciousness." Satoshi rolled his eyes and pulled out his fingerless gloves. "Whoever that was had knowledge of the human body and how acupuncture worked because his use of it made for Zabuza to temporarily die."

Sasuke stared at him for a moment and Satoshi returned the stare, defiantly. The heir's eyes narrowed. "You knew this before now."

"Duh."

Sasuke sneered and stepped forward. "So, why didn't you say anything?!" he snapped.

"When?" Satoshi quirked a brow, not bothered by the display of anger. "Should I have said something before Kakashi passed out? What would that have done? You and Naruto could barely keep from pissing your pants." He returned the sneer. "Kakashi was out of commission and the fake hunter-nin wasn't one we could have taken on alone, especially since Zabuza would have woken up at any time; it was better we got away and allowed Kakashi to rest."

Sasuke continued to glare but Satoshi couldn't be bothered and turned away from the heir to move over to his backpack on the ground. "It seems you came to the same conclusion I had." Satoshi heard and turned to see Kakashi lying on his back with his eyes opened. "The situation was fishy from the beginning."

"Tch, about time you woke up." Sasuke stated unsympathetic to the man's situation.

"Sasuke, go retrieve Naruto while I talk with Satoshi."

Said boy raised a brow at that and ignored the pointed glare Sasuke sent him before walking out, the door closing behind him. "If you want to talk about your injuries, I pretty much fixed you up to the best of my abilities but you should stay on the crutches till tomorrow." He was proud of himself. It would take Zabuza another five days to recuperate while he cut Kakashi's need for recovery in half.

Kakashi sat up in the bed and ran fingers through his hair. "That's good to hear but that isn't what I want to talk about." Suddenly, it was slightly harder for Satoshi to breath as the air became tense. "What were you thinking?" He demanded. "You could have gotten your teammates killed."

For a moment, Satoshi stared at him blankly. What is he bitching abo-oh. Satoshi wasn't surprised Kakashi would want to reprimand him about how he handled the situation with Zabuza. "I did what I had to." He said.

"And what you thought you had to do, that the best idea was to confront Zabuza?"

"Are we dead?"

"That isn't the point."

"It is the point." Satoshi fingers itched to grab his mask and pull it on. "Your problem is that I could have gotten the team killed and I very well could have but we would not have been in this situation had we not taken a mission clearly above a newly graduated genin team." Satoshi met Kakashi's onyx eyes fearlessly. "We're all out of our element here and I dealt with the situation to the best of my abilities."

Kakashi continued to stare at him and Satoshi wasn't sure what was going through his mind. The stare didn't break until a hand landed on his head sternly and Kakashi let out a sigh. "And here I thought the prankster would be my biggest pain in the ass." He shook his head. "So, let me get this straight, my team is made up of a goofball, an avenger and a daredevil?"

Satoshi blinked at the title. Daredevil? He thought and let a small smirk grow on his face. "Looks like it." I like it.

"Hmm, I seen that you were able to perform the walking on water technique." Kakashi removed his hand and threw his legs over the bed so that his bare feet were touching the floor. "Be honest, no repercussion for your answer, Anko Mitarashi taught you that, right?"

To answer or not to answer. Satoshi wondered he could really trust Kakashi to not rat Anko out for teaching him the things she did. It's less about teaching me and more about the way she taught me that could get her in trouble. And then, there's the possibility that if he did rat her out, someone in a higher position may want a full run down of his abilities and how he learned them. It could come out that Sayuri didn't teach me medical ninjutsu and I'd be forced to tell the truth.

But all of that was the worst-case scenario and if Kakashi was actually going to rat him out, he'd have done it the day he seen Anko talking to him on the roof. "Yes." He answered. "Anko, for the better part of a year, has been teaching me."

"Walking on water, tree climbing and the body flicker technique are all pretty basic techniques." Kakashi pointed out.

"She drilled those basic techniques into me while I was poisoned or beaten senseless more times than not." Satoshi scoffed and smiled cruelly. "She's rubbed off on me."

"That's not a good thing."

"To you." Satoshi stated and looked over his shoulders just before the door slammed open and Naruto paraded into the room. "Oh great, and me without my earplugs." He muttered and moved to the other side of the room to sit at the window ceil.

"Hey, Kakashi-sensei! You're finally awake! Took ya long enough! Ya lazy bum!"

(Later)

Green eyes looked around warily as Satoshi tried to figure out where he was. Its atmosphere was scalding and the ground was damp, and as he walked it felt as if he were walking on a floor scattered with a minimum amount of gravel. It looked like it was an underground rave with the only sound was water dropping from the ceiling, drop by drop.

The boy tilted his head trying to figure out why the area felt so familiar to him. He looked around until his eyes landed on a bright light in the middle of the darkness. Realization jolted in him causing him to tense. That dream…this is the same place as that dream. He blinked and looked around again.

He remembered that light leading to a place outside of this cave but he also remembered fire rushing for him from the opposite side. He narrowed his eyes and began walking into the direction of where the fire came from last time.

As he went deeper into the cave the higher the temperature got. "Is it even possible to get hot in your mind?" He wondered aloud before dismissing the thought.

He came to a junction with two different trails leading in the opposite direction. One where the heat was radiating from and the other was deathly silent. Both caused a great deal of curiosity for him but the silent one called out to him.

He turned and walked down the Hot as Hell path, as he's now dubbing it. The passage was narrower than the one leading to them. He tilted his head a little as he came to a small room and where a mirror hung on the bare wall.

"A mirror." He said flatly as he walked up to the mirror and stared at his reflection. "I walked in this freaking shitty cave for a mirror." His face scrunched up in irritation. "I-I thought this would have been something different…the last time I had this dream I got burned and when I woke up I was actually burned." He remembered that day, the burn healed but he never had another dream like it afterwards.

Suddenly, in the corner of his eye, he noticed something in the mirror shifted and turned his head to it. His reflection shifted and changed. It was a shadowy figure around his own size and a pair of glowing red eyes stood out. "Tsssss…"

"What the hell?" Satoshi muttered and leaned closer to the mirror. It seemed to be trying to communicate with him. "I don't understand."

All he received was a hiss before the reflection pointed at him. Satoshi tilted his head and then the shadow disappeared but the reflection didn't. It showed Satoshi…and some gnarly beast standing behind him.

Spinning around, Satoshi was launched off his feet as the beast back handed him with its tail. He let out a gasp of pain when his back met the cave wall but quickly recovered in time to throw himself from the wall, avoiding the tail piercing him through the chest. "Holy shit!" He gasped and turned tail running out of the room.

He stopped at a three-way deadlock and glanced at each entrance before deciding to take the path on the left. As he ran down the path, he could feel the air moisten just before he came upon another large opening with a giant pool of water in the middle of it.

He didn't have time to examine further, he turned and saw the beast standing there with its tail poised to strike. The beast was bi-pedal, face reptilian and gruesome. It opened its mouth and launched a barrage of fire balls at him.

Satoshi went through hand signs for a substitution jutsu but when the fire ball hit his shoulder, he hissed in pain and ducked underneath the others, allowing them to fly over his head. I can't use chakra here? He questioned no one and threw himself into the pool of water. He looked at the surface and saw the beast's standing over the pool but it didn't follow him in. Is it afraid of water? The beast reminded him of a dragon but less big. What the hell is going on?

The shadow disappeared from over the pool. Satoshi narrowed his eyes as he thought of a way to get out of this place. I need to get past that thing to get to the exit of this cave but I don't have chakra. He looked around and found there was a tunnel leading elsewhere. He turned to the surface of the pool and saw the shadow again.

Except it wasn't in the shape of the beast. It's the shadow from the mirror. The shadow pointed vaguely in a direction that Satoshi was sure it was pointing at the underwater cave. Satoshi turned back to the cave and thought about it for a moment. It could be a trap but trying to get out of the water seemed like a bad idea as the beast was most likely skulking around, waiting for him to surface.

With slight hesitance, Satoshi swam to the underwater cave and was instantly drowned in darkness. He spun around, hoping to see the light from where he came but found nothing but more darkness. Definitely a trap.

Anxiety was beginning to bite at him. He didn't like not being able to sense his surroundings, disliked not being able to see even more. He turned back around and headed, what he assumed, was deeper into the cave.

Come closer. He heard a slight whisper in his ears and if it weren't completely silent, he may have missed it. Guess this is the right direction. He thought wryly and continued swimming for another minute when he felt his finger touch air. Eyes widening as light, out of nowhere, blinded him causing him to shut them; he felt himself fall from water and descend.

Eyes snapped open when he hit the ground and found himself staring up at the cave ceiling where a pool of water was there, as if gravity didn't exist and the water remained inside.

Turning onto his hands and knees, Satoshi came face to face with the mirror again. He slowly stood up. This is so fucking weird, what is this? The Twilight Zone? He got to his feet and watched as his feet. Soon after, his reflection turned into the red eyed shadow from before. "Just what the hell is this? What's going on?" He demanded, knowing it must have been what spoke to him.

The shadow didn't answer, much to Satoshi's chagrin, instead it held out its hand. No time, you die. It said, sounding weaker than before.

"I die?" He asked, skeptically. "Cryptic, I just love that." He muttered sarcastically. The shadow only continued to hold out its hand. "What do you want."

Hurry. The ground shook as an explosion went off behind him. Satoshi turned to look over his shoulder and knew that the beast was coming back to the mirror room.

"What do you want from me?" Satoshi asked after turning back to the mirror. "How do I get out of here before tall, dark and scaly comes back?"

Touch.

Touch? Satoshi raised a brow and his eyes immediately went to the hand the shadow hadn't dropped. It wants me to touch the mirror. He concluded. "If I touch the mirror, I'll wake up?" he questioned, suspiciously. He couldn't just do what the shadow wanted, even if it did seem to be helping him.

Hurry.

A roar made Satoshi flinch and groan. "Damn it." He muttered and placed his hand over the shadow's hand on the mirror.

After a moment, he wished he hadn't.

The shadow disappeared and Satoshi was stuck with his hand against the mirror, staring at his reflection. Excruciating pain racked his body and he wanted to open his mouth to let out a yell of shock but his body was no longer under his control. Satoshi was forced to watch as a shadow tentacle scrawled over his body but it felt as if fire was crawling all over him and had he been able to move, he would have dropped to his knees.

The tentacle didn't stop till it reached Satoshi's face and in the back of his mind, he could hear a sinister laughter in the back of his head. The tentacle shifted into a hand and placed itself over Satoshi's left eye. That broke the paralysis spell and Satoshi tore his hand away from the mirror and scratched at the burning sensation in his face. "Ah!" he screamed knelt down.

He lifted his face and saw that the shadow had disappeared and that some sort of mark was left on his face. Not only that it seemed to have spread down the right side of his body and burned off his shirt in the process. A-a seal? He thought, delirious with pain.

It is done. He heard, no longer a whisper.

Satoshi's eyes rolled to the back of his head as everything went black.

Together again.

(End)

Hey, everyone. I hope you all enjoyed the chapter.

Before anyone asks, no, Satoshi does not have a jinchuriki or any other sentient being sealed inside of him but as the next couple chapters go on, it'll become clear.

{NOTE} This is almost the same thing that happened to him last time he entered his own mindscape Read chapter 7.

This chapter was slightly short because the next will be longer and I'll probably end the missions of the waves in the next chapter.

Also, I see people are wondering why I haven't developed Satoshi's friendship with Sasuke or Naruto. Because Naruto is annoying, Sasuke is stuck up and Satoshi is a prick. Lorenzo (Satoshi) is mentally 21 at this point since he was brought to the Naruto world when he was seventeen in the body of an eight year old. They all have a lot in common but Satoshi won't let the connection be made...yet. Probably when it suits him best.
