Mama Yang in Bellwood-1

"Hey Yang, may I come in?" The familiar voice of Blake Belladonna asked, through the door to Yang Xiao Long's room.

From on the floor, reaching up and pausing the music on her Bluetooth speaker, on their knees sat a curvaceous young woman, with golden blonde, waist length hair, with scarlet red frosted tips, dressed in a breast band, and form fitting, shorts reaching midway down her thick toned thighs, drenched in sweat. Her eyes were lavender with a crescent red-orange on the bottom left part of the irises. Her ears had cartilage spikes, with the one on top being shorter than the other two below.

Along certain parts of her body, such as along her back from the base of her skull, to the base of her spine, her arms, and fingers, under her eyes, and around her thighs like garter belts and some on her hips and waist like they were tattooed onto her body, dragon scales were visible. Her scales were a deep gold with a silver lining, along the edges. On her left arm, inked in her skin, was a large tribal dragon tattoo going from the ring finger on her left hand, all the way to her back, running across her shoulder blades, with the head of the dragon tattoo on her right shoulder, with the tribal designs having a bit of a hellish edge to them. The only thing about the tattoo though, was that it wasn't a normal tattoo, it hadn't been inked on her at all. The tribal dragon tattoo had appeared on her skin, as if by magic, which wasn't far off from the truth, as it marked her as a Dragonslayer. Breast Size: I-Cup.

This is Yang Xiao Long, a seventeen year old teen-mom with a rocking bod, an attitude to match, and a Huntress in training at Beacon Academy.

Sitting on the bed to her left, was a young boy around seven years old, with scarlet red hair with jet black bangs, and golden blonde tips, three cartilage spikes on each of his ears, and small scales on his cheeks, forearms and lower legs like gauntlets and shin guards. He was sitting at the edge of the bed, dressed in a T-shirt and a pair of shorts, he sat there smiling brightly as he watched his mom do her normal morning workout routine. On the top of his head, sat cat ears, and a white tiger tail swishing about behind him, while on his forehead, was a black diamond shaped mark, almost like a birth mark, right between his eyebrows.

This is Scythe Xiao Long, son of Yang Xiao Long, and Blake Belladonna, with all three of them being a family of Dragon/Jungle cat Faunus.

"Yeah come on in Blake." Yang smiled wiping herself down with a towel she accepted from Scythe.

"How are things going today?" Blake asked opening the door.

The girl standing in the doorway, with a plastic bag in her hand, was wearing a black buttoned vest with coattails and a single silver button on the front. Underneath this is a white, sleeveless, high necked, crop undershirt and white shorts with a zipper on the front of each leg.

For foot and legwear, she wears black low-heeled boots and full stockings with a color gradation of black to purple at her ankles. Her emblem is visible on the outside of both thighs just below her shorts in white. On her left arm is a detached sleeve with a silver cuff around her bicep and black ribbons are wrapped around both forearms. A small, loose scarf is wrapped around her neck and a gray magnetic backpack is strapped to her back, hidden by her hair.

Atop her head, sat a matching pair of cat ears, similar to Scythe's, with cartilage spikes on her human ears, and dragon scales in the same places as Yang, only they were silver with violet edges on one side. She wears purple eyeshadow in catseye style. Breast Size: H-Cup.

"Things are going good, just got done with my morning workout." Yang smiled.

"I sat on moms back when she was doing push-ups mama." Scythe smiled.

"Is that so?" Blake asked, sitting down beside him, and sitting him down on her lap. "Then are you willing to join me for my yoga tonight?"

"No way. I don't like that." Scythe grumbled looking away from her with a grumble.

"Oh come on sweetie, it's a lot more fun than you know." Blake smiled poking his cheek playfully.

"So what's up?" Yang asked, removing her breast-band, showing she had scales on her chest, covering her like strapless bikini top cups.

"I just came by to see if we were still on for our morning at the arcade today? They should be finished with the repairs by now, and the new DDR should be out." Blake exclaimed, bringing Scythe in for a hug.

"You forgot didn't you? I had to postpone that until tomorrow. We've got a therapy appointment with that specialist in Vale for Scythe's possible PTSD." Yang exclaimed grabbing her things for a shower.

"Oh you're right, I completely spaced on that." Blake exclaimed. "What time is the appointment?"

"It's in three hours. That gives us one hour to get ready, another to get to Vale, and a half hour to get to the therapist's office." Yang explained before entering the bathroom.

"Why do we have to do this?" Scythe asked hearing the shower turn on in the bathroom.

"Because we're just wanting to make sure you're not experiencing any type of trauma sweetie." Blake smiled.

"But I don't like the doctor's office." Scythe grumbled.

"We're not going to that type of doctor sweetie. We're going to one who is a specialist for dealing with mental trauma, not physical." Blake explained holding him close, getting the feeling he might have PTSD from the events that took place in the hospital her aunt runs. "Plus, Aunt Sakura is the one who recommended this doctor for you, she's really good at helping traumatized children deal with their problems."

"But I still don't feel comfortable with it." Scythe grumbled.

"Oh dear. You're scared of any type of doctor's office aren't you?" Blake inquired.

"What's going on?" Yang asked, stepping out of the bathroom, dressed in a fresh muscle shirt that stopped at the base of her ribs, and thick yoga pants, with her signature purple bandana tied around her right thigh.

"Man that was a fast shower." Blake exclaimed.

"Purgatory Dragon remember? I gotta keep my showers fast, otherwise I just create more steam, which causes me to sweat even more, which just makes me dirtier. If I wanna take a long shower, I gotta use Atlas level, cold water." Yang explained. "So what's going on with Scythe?"

"It would appear that he's afraid of going to any type of doctor's office." Blake exclaimed. "I think it might have something to do with what happened with Dr. Smithe, at my Aunts Hospital."

"Oh I didn't even think about something like that being a possibility." Yang stated, taking Scythe's hand. "Is that why you hate going to the doctor's honey?"

Scythe nodded his head, and looked away, looking a bit ashamed. Yang sighed, and rubbed the back of his hand softly, with a gentle smile.

"I'm sorry sweetie, I hadn't realized you felt that way. Tell you what, we'll still meet with the therapist, but we won't do it in their office, we'll do it in some place public, all right?" Yang asked.

"Okay." Scythe smiled, feeling a little less anxious about the visit.

"All right, I'll just give the doctor a call, and we can see what we can do." Yang smiled, getting up, and grabbing her scroll. "Hello Dr. Grayson? It's Yang Xiao Long, I have an appointment with you for my son at noon. No I'm not calling to cancel, it's just there's been a bit of a discovery that might be a problem. My son's anxious about going to the office, because he was nearly killed by Dr. Smithe at the Vale Hospital. Yes, the doctor who was arrested and sent to jail for attempting to murder a patient of his. Yes that patient was my son… Yes my girlfriend and I believe he might have developed PTSD from that… Yes we were wondering if we could possibly take the meeting somewhere close to the office, but in a bit more of a public area? Oh that's perfect, thank you, we'll see you there at noon. Thank you so much for understanding."

"So where are we meeting?" Blake asked.

"The coffee shop Coco's parents own, it's across the street from the office. She's dealt with patients with the same fear as Scythe's, more times than you'd think." Yang explained.

"So any word on Ruby, or Weiss's whereabouts?" Blake inquired.

"I'm afraid not. I'm so worried about what might have happened to her. There hasn't been any word regarding Pyrrha or Nora's whereabouts either. Not even a single clue on what happened to Kali or mom." Yang sighed putting on some actual clothes.

"None of my old contacts from the Fang are turning anything up either. An' these are people I trust with my life, so I know I can trust them when they say none of them are there being turned into baby factories, to produce an army of Dragon Faunus." Blake exclaimed.

"I trust your judgement Blake. I just can't shake this bad feeling I have in the pit of my stomach." Yang said, helping Scythe to get dressed.

~Three hours later at Adel's Coffee Café~

"Thank you so much for meeting with us out here Dr. Grayson." Yang smiled, as she was sitting across from a nice looking Faunus woman, with silver hair, and wolf ears on her head, as well as a pair of glasses resting in the center of her nose. She wore a spaghetti strap shirt, with a pair of blue skinny jeans, and a light jacket resting on the back of her chair.

Yang was dressed in a pair of black slim fitting yoga pants, with a white tank top and a jean jacket, covering her upper body. Her hair was done up in a ponytail, something she had taken to doing, since she became Scythe's mother, and her clothes were complimented with her Ember Celica in their bracelet forms, and a pair of gold and black combat heels that Blake had said would complement the battle attire, and complete the MILF, look the blonde brawler had been going for.

Scythe and Blake were over by the lounge area sitting on the couch. Blake was trying to teach Scythe to read advanced literature which, as expected, looked like it was going over his head. Scythe was dressed in a pair of jeans with a zip-up hoodie over a dark blue shirt, with a pair of work boots, his size on his feet.

Blake was dressed in a very different attire than she was when coming to Yang's dorm. Instead of her usual attire, Blake wore a black crop-top with her emblem sewn in white on her left breast, a pair of purple skinny jeans, and a pair of pure black combat heels on her feet. Her ribbon covering her ears was nowhere to be seen, leaving them exposed for people to see, and her eyeshadow was a darker shade near the edges of her eyelids. Her hair was done in a braid going down her back, with a dark amethyst gem hairband on the end of it.

"It's no problem Ms. Xiao Long. Scythe's anxiety for a Doctor's office is quite normal for what happened to him with Dr. Smithe. I'm honestly happy that you came to me about this, before coming to the office. It could have made things a lot worse if you hadn't." Dr. Grayson smiled. "If you're fine with it, I'd like to have our sessions be outside, here in the café until he feels comfortable to try and step into my office."

"I'm fine with it." Yang smiled, her cup of coffee in her hands. "My son's happiness, and health are my main priorities, I want to help him get through whatever trauma he might have. He's been having so many nightmares involving his past and some of the things he's had to endure. He's barely getting any sleep at night, and it worries me to no end. An' things have only gotten worse since the incident with Jacques Schnee kidnapping him, the nightmares have become more frequent, he's scarred to even go anywhere by himself, he's even jumping at the sight of his own shadow. He's scarred out of his mind. He doesn't need that kind of stress, he's only seven. An' with what happened when Hydra attacked Beacon, and the court thing, as well as Scythe's imprisonment by the Atlas Military, I'm afraid for him. I don't know if I'm just being paranoid, or if I'm the one going crazy. I just want what's best for him."

"I'm sorry to hear that, and your fear is completely understandable, it doesn't mean you're being paranoid, it just means you're a good mother who understands fear. Now, from what you've told me, there were some complications with his place in the family, and due to a certain type of rare Grimm, he's now related to both you, and Ms. Belladonna by blood?" Dr. Grayson asked, looking over the file she brought with her.

"Yes. Originally, Scythe was adopted. I swore in front of the judge I'd do everything in my power to keep him safe. But a classmate of mine, bonded with a symbiote Grimm, doesn't have full control over the symbiote's actions, and the symbiote doesn't understand how relationships work. Now, Scythe has both me, and my team partner Blake, as his biological parents. A DNA test proves it."

"So you're current appearances are another thing due to the symbiote's interferences?" Dr. Grayson asked.

"You could say that. I was originally human, but I'm now a Dragon Faunus. Blake was just a normal Panther Faunus like her parents, but is now a hybrid of Dragon and panther. Scythe gained those ears and his tail from Blake's side of the family, while he retained his draconic features." Yang explained.

"So, how does being a Faunus make you feel? Would you want to go back to being human if possible, or would you want to stay a Faunus?" Dr. Grayson inquired.

"Honestly, it doesn't really matter to me. I couldn't care less if I were human again. Being a Faunus, is amazing, and it's comforting for Scythe. I wouldn't change myself again for any reason but my own. I'm proud of who I am now, and nothing is going to change that." Yang smiled softly. "I don't care if I face hardships because of what I am now, I'm me, and nothing is ever going to change that. Ever since Scythe came into my life, I've been afraid, I couldn't be the kind of mother he needed, the kind of mother he deserved, but that all changed, when I felt my maternal instincts take root, and I began protecting Scythe, from every little thing. I guess you could say I was being a bit overprotective of him when starting out, but I've gotten control of that now, and I'm happy seeing my son going on his own adventures, even if they scare me sometimes."

"Glad to hear it." Dr. Grayson smiled, before a thundering rumble echoed across the sky. "Oh dear, looks like there's a storm coming. Just as well, this meeting was only an introduction session anyway, so our time is up. See you again, same time next week?"

"Definitely." Yang smiled grabbing her backpack.

Both women got up and went their separate ways, after Yang thanked Dr. Grayson again for understanding why she wanted to meet in public. Seeing Yang was done with Dr. Grayson, Blake and Scythe came up to her, with a smile.

"So how'd it go?" Blake asked.

"She's willing to see us again next week at the same time." Yang explained.

"That's great news."

"We'll be having our sessions out here in the café, so Scythe shouldn't have to worry about stepping into her office, until he's ready to do so himself." Yang smiled.

"Can we go home?" Scythe asked, before a bolt of lightning lit up the sky, causing him to hide behind Blake.

"An Etherion Godslayer is scared of a little lightning storm? Well, he is just a child." Blake chuckled turning around to pick him up.

"So where do we wanna go next? The arcade is out, since it always closes during thunder storms." Yang exclaimed as they began walking down the street.

"I think we should get some lunch." Blake smiled, before the air above them, began to brighten with another flash of lightning and a clap of thunder. "Then maybe we could go hit up that anime convention down the street, I heard the new release of that manga you and Scythe are into, was released, and that the author is gonna be there to do photo-ups and sign autographs."

"Now you're talking." Yang smiled. "Lunch first, then the anime convention. Perhaps that'll help Scythe get his mind off of things."

~CRACKA-BOOM~

In that instant, lightning flashed above them, causing Scythe to freeze before jumping behind Yang, just as a man dressed in a white lab coat, with greying hair, goggles around his neck, and a soft smile on his face.

"Hello there you three." He said.

"Uh hi, is there something we can help you with?" Yang asked.

"Why yes actually. I do need your help with something, but it's just you three I need the help from." He exclaimed. "Oh pardon me, where are my manner's? Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Paradox. Professor Paradox."

"Are you a new teacher at Beacon?" Blake asked. "We can give you directions if you're lost."

"Oh no, I'm not a teacher at Beacon, I'm actually a scientist who specializes on interdimensional research and time travel." Paradox exclaimed. "I've seen the future, and I'm afraid another world is in desperate need of the help from you three."

"Okay, stay right here, I'll be right back with some very nice men, with a very strong net." Yang stated, before she began to walk away with Scythe only to turn around and find him standing right there. "H-how did… is teleportation your semblance?"

"I forgot to mention, I got caught up in the aftermath of one of my experiments that went aerie, and now I'm able to freely traverse through time and space. I can only change minuet things in time, though I'm generally not allowed to interfere in major events." Paradox exclaimed. "For example I can do this."

In an instant Paradox was gone in for one second before he returned with a baby white tiger in his arms, the size of a house kitten, and handed it to Scythe who looked at it in awe with stars in his eyes.

"That little lady was about to be eaten alive by a giant condor. I thought she might have a better chance at life if she were to be with you." Paradox smiled. "As I said, I can change minuet things, such as giving a pet from a world where mammals are as small as cats and dogs, to a seven year old boy as an early birthday present."

"Wait, his birthday is coming up?" Blake asked.

"Oh yes in about three weeks as a matter of fact." Paradox exclaimed.

"Alright buddy, say we do believe you. If you're planning on taking us to another dimension or timeline for the help you need, you can forget about us doing it…"

"Pro-bono? Yes I assumed that was the case, which is why I come bearing a gift, or a trade of sorts." Paradox exclaimed, holding up a small box of information.

"What is that?" Blake inquired.

"About 15.5 Terabytes worth of information all surrounding the Fall of Beacon in the middle of the Vytal festival, the Maidens, and Salem." Paradox exclaimed before he realized something. "Oops, spoilers."

"Beacon Falls?" Yang asked.

"I've already said too much. Now, are you willing to help me in exchange for this information that could save countless lives?" Paradox questioned.

"I am." Blake stated.

"I'm all for it, but who's gonna look after Scythe?" Yang asked.

"Oh don't worry, he'll be coming with us." Paradox smiled. "Now, all three of you grab my hand, and I'll just put this in the hands of my old friend Ozpin."

Yang, Blake, and Scythe, who was still holding the kitten tiger, grabbed Paradox by the hand, before he sent the box away.

"Now, you might feel a bit dizzy as we go along." Paradox said grinning a bit.

~Ozpin's Office~

"Are the preparations for the upcoming combat classes prepared Glynda?" Ozpin asked as he and his second in command entered his office.

"Yes Professor Ozpin." Glynda said, before noticing Ozpin stopped in his tracks. "What's the matter?"

"Has anyone been in my office recently?" Ozpin questioned.

"Sensors and cameras indicate not within the last hour since we left it." Glynda said, looking over her scroll, before noticing a black box on Ozpin's desk. "What is that?"

"This, is a data cube. An alien device that can store up to 10,000 terabytes of data and can last up to several millennia before corroding." Ozpin explained. "I know of only one man, capable of bringing such an object into my office without setting off the sensors."

"Paradox?" Glynda asked.

"Precisely." Ozpin said, grabbing the cube and finding a note under it. "Dear Ozpin, I am writing this to you now, so you may know that I have borrowed two of your students and their son. They are needed to prevent the destruction of my world, they will be returned upon Remnant at the time, age, and year that they had departed. More or less, sincerely Paradox."

"Shall I notify Mrs. Rose, and Mr. Xiao Long, as well as the Belladonna's about Paradox borrowing those three?" Glynda asked.

"Yes, I believe that would be the correct course of action to take." Ozpin sighed.

~Earth Bellwood: 4 Years before the story begins~

"Well, here we are." Paradox smiled as the four of them appeared in Bellwood, specifically inside a house with the standard furniture of a couch, book shelf, television stand, and a television. An' that was just the living room.

"Are we in someone's house?" Blake asked.

"We did no sign up to breakin and enter into someone else's home." Yang said.

"Actually, this is your home." Paradox said. "I took the liberty of setting everything up for you, there should be a moving truck coming pretty soon to bring you the rest of your things. I did pack all your clothes and whatnots from your manor in Remnant, so those will be brought by in about an hour or so."

"Alright, I guess we can work with that." Blake said.

"Splendid. Now let me introduce you to your neighbors." Paradox smiled leading Blake and Yang to the window. "Across the street from your house, is the house of Benjamin Kirby Tennyson, a young boy, who in four years will receive a device known as the Omnitrix, a watch like device that can turn it's wearer into any of 1 of 10,000 Alien Species. You are to assist him in stopping the threats that plague the world and the universe."

"Okay, so, basically we just have to help this kid stop the apocalypse from happening, make sure he gets this watch, help him train in mastering all his alien forms, and try to keep this all on the down low." Yang said. "How long did you say this job would take, exactly?"

"Oh, a few years roughly. It won't matter though, I can return you to the time and place you left before anyone ever notices, you'll even be back to the ages you are now." Paradox explained.

"We should have read the fine print beforehand, when agreeing to this job." Blake sighed.

"Oh also, there is a special intergalactic police force, known as Plumbers, they might come after the three of you, if you're not wearing these." Paradox said handing them blank looking masks. "These are I.D masks, they'll make you look like whoever you want to be. Currently, they are programed to make you look like yourselves, minus the scales, ears, any animalistic traits."

"Great, as if I didn't already have enough self-esteem issues with who I really am." Blake sighed.

"Couldn't we just play them off as genetic mutations from a lab we used to intern at?" Yang questioned. "I'm really not wanting my son to have to hide who he is if I put him through school here."

"Well, I suppose I could tweak a few things here and there. There is this one Doctor I know that did do genetic mutations on animals, so it could stand to reason he also did human experimentation. He was denounced and removed from the science community about a year ago. So it could work out, I suppose." Paradox explained.

"Then do it please." Blake said.

"Alright, calm down. Before I leave, I'm just gonna let you know a few things." Paradox said, pointing to the coffee table. "In both those envelopes, are your driver's licenses and citizenships, as well as birth certificates for all three of you; any other important paperwork you may need is in there as well."

"Alright, anything else we should know?" Yang asked.

"Not at the moment. Oh there is one thing. Do try to keep Scythe away from Vilgax will you?" Paradox questioned. "A man named Max Tennyson will know what I'm talking about. Benjamin's grandfather."

"Who?" Yang asked.

"You'll know who I'm talking about soon enough, like I said Maxwell will know, so just ask him when he comes by. Now I must be off, take care."

"Wait, what are we supposed to do about money?" Yang asked.

"Oh, that's not a problem. I've already altered the backstory, and added that you three were victims of Dr. Animo's, you were given quite the hefty compensation cheque from the government, and hush money from science community, so you don't really have to worry about money." Paradox explained.

"How much was the cheque?" Blake asked.

"Hmm… let's see here, one Lien equals up to one dollar, this country's currency, so about ten million Lien in total." Paradox explained. "The government does like to try and keep things hush-hush." He said, seeing the looks of shock on both Yang and Blake's faces. "Now, I am off. Oh one more thing, despite your ages, your I.D's say you're older than you are. We don't want people to be aware of you two having a biological child, who is seven, while you're both still in your late teens."

With that Paradox disappeared before any more questions could be asked.

"Well, I guess it's time to get down to business." Yang sighed.

Knock-knock-knock…

"Who could that be?" Yang asked.

"I got…"

"Hello?" Scythe asked opening the door.

"Hi there little fella. Are you parent's home?" An elderly man's voice asked from the open door.

"Scythe sweetie come here." Yang said grabbing his shoulder and coming to the door. "Sorry about that, I'm Yang Xiao Long. What can I do for you?"

Standing in front of her was a middle aged man, with greying hair and brown eyes, wearing blue jeans, a red flower patterned button up shirt.

"Hi I'm Max Tennyson, your my son's new neighbor right? My daughter-in-law thought we'd welcome you to the neighborhood. The Tennyson's know all about the, experiments, Dr. Animo did to you last year, since it was all over the news for several weeks, and my son and his wife decided if you ever need someone to talk to about your worries don't hesitate to come by." Max explained holding up a cake. "Same goes for me. If you're ever needing to talk, you can come find me at the trailer park I live. But I'm currently staying with my son and his family while repairs are being done on my mobile home."

'Wow Paradox really did do a number on the past if he managed to make that reality.' Yang thought accepting the cake. "Thank you so much for your friendly welcome."

"Yang, who's at the door?" Blake asked.

"It's one of our neighbors from across the street." Yang called back. "I'm sorry, would you like to come in for a bit? We don't have much right now but… Blake what do we have in the fridge?"

"We have some soda, apple juice, and iced tea." Blake called back after a minute.

"Would you care for a drink of either soda or iced tea?" Yang inquired.

"I'd like a tea thanks." Max smiled coming in.

"Scythe, why don't you go upstairs to your room?" Yang suggested.

"Which room is mine?" Scythe asked.

"I… good question." Yang muttered.

"You don't know which room is his?" Max asked, raising an eyebrow.

"We just moved in today." Yang explained. "Blake which room was Scythe's again?"

"The basement remember? He convinced us to give him the basement suit as his room." Blake said.

Yang stuck her head into the kitchen, and saw her waving a note around a bit. It had several words on it. Two sentences, one explaining that Yang and Blake were sleeping in the master bedroom upstairs, and Scythe sleeping in the basement suit.

"Ah, right that's right. Downstairs in the basement suit." Yang said.

"Okay." Scythe said, before heading for the basement.

"You two sure don't know your way around the place, do you?" Max asked.

"No, not really. We're still trying to figure our way out around here." Yang said. "Blake, could you cut up some cake? Max brought it over for us."

"Sure. I'll bring it out with the drinks." Blake replied.

"So, how long are you planning on living in Bellwood?" Max asked.

"We're planning on staying for a while." Yang explained. "We've actually been looking for a place to settle down permanently in. But no matter where we go, we always end up being chased out because we're a lesbian couple with a kid, and with how we look from the experiments Dr. Animo put us through."

"Well, you'll find Bellwood is completely accepting of all sorts of folks around here." Max said.

"We've actually got something we want to ask you about." Blake said, coming in with a tray filled with three slices of cake, two cups of iced tea, and a cup of soda.

"What could you possibly want to ask me about?" Max questioned accepting the tea.

"We wanted to know, if you know someone named Vilgax." Yang said.

Max nearly did a spit take at the mention of that name, and put his tea down, gaining a serious look.

"Where did you hear that name, and what do you want to know?" Max questioned.

"We were wanting to know if he's still alive, and we heard it from the guy who set us up with this house. I'm sorry but he told us you would be able to tell us about Vilgax." Blake said. "He told us that with the abilities that came with our new looks, he might come after us, our son especially. We're just wanting to take precautions to prevent that."

"I see." Max said, his expression softening. "You're just concerned. I can assure you, that there isn't anything to worry about, he's long been dead."

"Well, that's good to hear at least." Yang sighed.

"So what abilities do you two exactly have?" Max questioned.

"Well, to be honest, they're not really all that understandable. What do you know about what Dr. Animo did?" Yang inquired.

"Well, as far as I know, he experimented on you, with DNA from a fossils from a long thought mythical species. It was a dragon wasn't it, even mixed it with cat DNA for one of you to see how your bodies would react to it." Max exclaimed.

"Pretty much. When he spliced our DNA, he didn't realize that Dragons are creatures of magic." Yang said, as Blake was mentally praising her for coming up with this backstory on the spot. "Basically, the both of us, gained magic, capable of slaying dragons, with elements unique to our personalities. Blake uses shadows, and I use hellfire."

"If I recall correctly from the news reports, Dr. Animo was exposed for experimenting on you, because of Scythe following you both to work." Max exclaimed. "But it was never specified on how he was experimented on."

"He wasn't." Yang sighed. "Truth is, Blake and I had been missing for several weeks, leaving Scythe to fend for himself. He actually used the last of his allowance at the time, to ride the bus as close to the facility as possible, before he snuck into it, and coming to Dr. Animo's lab, where we were kept in separate cages, and looked like this. Dr. Animo had managed to catch him, and give him an overdose of the serum he injected Blake with. In the end, he survived, because he had gotten away, and ran into a live electrical wire that altered the serum, and forcing his abilities to evolve. He's still like us, in terms of his physicality, and biology, but unlike us, Scythe doesn't have Dragonslayer Magic. His is far more powerful, and far more dangerous if it got into the wrong hands. We call it Godslayer, and because of how young he is, he ended up being able to you all the elements, because his mind isn't as developed as ours."

"I see." Max said, looking at them before sighing. "I'm sorry that had to happen to you. An' I'm sure that Animo got what he deserved."

"Thank you." Blake smiled. 'Damn Yang really killed it with that explanation. Did she really just come up with that on the spot, or has she been thinking about it since Paradox left?'

"Now before I forget, my son and his wife wanted to invite you over for dinner tonight. Would you be able to come?" Max inquired.

"We'd like to, but the rest of our things are coming in an hour or so, and it'll take the rest of the day to finish moving everything in, and unpack it all." Yang said.

"I understand. Maybe some other time, next week perhaps?" Max inquired.

"Yeah, we should be able to do that." Blake said.

"Great. If you need help with unloading the van when it gets here, feel free to come by and ask me or my son." Max said. "I'll talk to you all later."

"We'll talk to you later Max." Yang said seeing him out the door.

After Max left, Yang sighed and turned back to Blake, who was cleaning up the now empty paper dishes that were devoid of cake.

"So, we've barely been here an hour, and already we're being treated like respectable people." Yang smiled. "Maybe being here for a while, won't be so bad."

"Yeah. We just might enjoy being here, despite being away from everyone." Blake smiled softly.
