Authors Notes: I wrote this a while back as it was an idea that popped into my head. I give you: DORK IN DISTRESS
Summary: Eric saves his dork in distress. Crack fic.
Ryan was search the perimeter of the house for the missing gun. He was using his flashlight to try and see through these bushes. The young man walked around in a focused circle, attempting to find the missing firearm. Eric was inside with the camera and his kit, processing the crime scene. As he walking, he thought he heard a growl. So he drew his own gun and crept around, getting nearer to the growl.
The young man took a deep breath and went around the corner. A rabid dog tied to a chain. The dog instantly ran at him. Ryan stepped back almost immediately with fear. And that's when he saw it. The firearm was on the other side of the backyard, lying on the ground. And all he had to do was pass this animal. "Come on Wolfe, you went to police academy for fucks sake." He murmured to himself as he got ready to run.
He kept his eyes on the dog. When the dog turned around, Ryan made a run for it. He sprinted the fastest he's ever ran before past that 'savage creature' and got to the firearm, calling Eric out. Delko had just seen Ryan run like he was running from someone with a gun. He came out only to find it was a dog and laughed. "You're such a dork, Wolfe." Eric walked past, but jumped when the dog clenched its jaw. "Hypocrite." Ryan mumbled.
The Cuban ignored his comment and made his way over, taking a photo of the gun before bagging and tagging it. Eric looked at Ryan, who still had his arm gun drawn, then he laughed. "Want a lift?" "Yeah, if you're offering-" before he could say anything, Eric hauled Ryan over his shoulder and walked past the dog. Ryan was taken back by the older man taking his sarcasm so literally.
"Do I look like a damsel in distress, Delko?" He asked with such outrage evident in his voice.
"I'd say, Dork in Distress."
Ryan huffed and when Eric put him down, he didn't help with taking the evidence to the car and instead walked to the Hummer ahead of the Cuban. "Um, Wolfe?!" "I thought Prince Delko wanted to save damsels. I'm not thanking you for this." Eric scoffed and picked up the boxes of evidence, taking them over to the department issued vehicle and putting it in the back seat.
"Oh come on, Wolfe?"
Wolfe didn't reply and instead got into the driver's seat. Eric was about to get in when Ryan drove forward, making the door shut as he left Eric. Delko couldn't believe this. When he reached the car and tried to get in, Ryan drove forward again and Eric was left behind a few metres back. This pissed Delko off a lot. Ryan had some real nerve pulling a prank like that.
Eric reached the door and Ryan put his foot down, making the car jerk forward just that bit more. When the older man opened the door, Ryan drove at full speed and Eric was chasing after it for two blocks. Then Ryan finally stopped and Delko got in, strapping himself in. He shut the door after. "Drive before I murder you."
Ryan chuckled. "Wake up on the wrong side of the bed?"
"I wish I'd gone with Natalia instead." He grimaced. "Well, Eric, this is your reward for saving my ass. Exercise." The Cuban rolled his eyes with such frustration. Ryan failed to surpress his amusement at the offence he'd taken. This was what they did everyday though. Annoy the heck out of one another on a regular basis - and it never seemed to end.
