A/N- Hello again~ I've been toying with the idea of coming back to again. I've had multiple idea's for stories, but none of it ever really went anywhere, and I didn't wanting to risk 'writers block' again either. But I've decided 'Eh... Fuck it'. And started this reboot. And to help combat 'Writers block', I've actually pre-written several chapters, in case this story ends up actually going somewhere.
And as for my other story ideas. I'm going to focus mainly on this, but whenever I'm up for it. I'll make and post a first chapter to a story, then leave it at that, so if anyone else is interested in them, they can continue it.
With a snap of the fingers, 13 people poofed into existence, and fell to the floor in a huge heap. Eleven students; teams RWBY, (J)NPR, AND SN(N)(N); Oscar, and Ozpin. As they slowly got up, Ozpin looked at the familiar surroundings and let out a deep sigh.
''Oh lord, we're back here again...''
''Hellooo~''
''And we're here to-''
''Watch different realities, centred around Jaune Arc, yes.''
''I figured as much.'' Ozpin then turned to face his students. ''Well children, I suggest you get comfortable. There's no reason to panic; we're not in any danger, but I have no idea how long we'll be here.''
''But Professor Ozpin, what is this place? And why're we here?'' Ruby asked. ''... And how are you here, anyway? I thought you died during the Battle of Beacon.''
''I'll explain later, we have just gotten here, after all.''
The screen came on to show a blond man and woman sitting at a table in a kitchen. The man was reading the paper and the woman was drinking coffee, then Jaune came running down the stair, decked out in Pokemon Trainer gear.
''Look out world. Today's the day I become a Pokemon Trainer!''
''POKEMON!'' The children of the audience yelled. (Ruby, Yang, Nora, Sun, and Neptune)
''What's so great about Pokemon?'' Weiss asked.
''BLASPHEMY!'' Nora screeched.
''How can you not like pokemon!'' Yang yelled.
''I can't believe I went out with you...'' Neptune muttered.
''Excuse me!?'' Weiss yelled.
''I CAN'T be with a girl who does NOT! LIKE! POKEMON!'' He yelled back.
''Don't you think your all over-reacting?'' Blake asked. ''I mean, I never really cared for Pokemon myself.''
''You mean... You don't like Pokemon either?'' Ruby asked, as if she had been betrayed by her best friend.
''I didn't say that. I said I didn't care for it. I've played Pokemon Red. I've watched the original anime. But other than that, I've never really been invested in it. I don't really like the premise of it.''
''Actually, I think Blake makes a good point.'' Oscar said, meekly. Its obvious they have strong feelings about the franchise a didn't want to come under fire for agreeing with their opposition. ''I mean. Your go into the wild and capture Pokemon. Take them away from their natural habitat. And train them to fight other Pokemon, both wild and those captured by other trainers.''
Even though Sun loved Pokemon, Oscar did have a point. ''Alright, i'll give you that one... But don't forget! I'm a faunus and I LOVE Pokemon!''
''I'll keep that in mind.''
''What!? Absolutely not, Jaune!'' His dad rebuffed.
''WHAT!?'' The children of the audience yelled, again.
''I think Jaune would make a great Pokemon Trainer.'' Said Pyrrha.
''Of course he would! Fearless Leader would be the best Pokemon Trainer!'' Nora yelled.
Weiss scoffed. ''The dunce will probably get killed on his first day.''
''Why do you keep calling him a dunce; he's trying his best!'' Pyrrha snapped.
''That may be, but he still behind the rest of us by a substantial margin.'' Weiss argued. ''He didn't even attend a prepatory hunting Academy and he forged transcripts to get into Beacon.''
''There're several things wrong with that argument.'' Ren pointed out. ''And I feel that bringing up his transcripts now is just petty. I mean, the matter was settled years ago, by Ozpin himself.
''But that doesn't change the fact that it wasn't fair! He practically stole that spot from someone who did deserve to attend Beacon!''
''While that may be, I feel its important to note that, in a way, you did the same thing.'' Ozpin argued. ''Unlike most children, you come from a very successful family, and had the means to ensure that you had an impressive series of transcripts. And compared to Atlas, Beacon is often considered a more 'Middle of the road' Academy, for good, but not exemplary hunters in training. So in a way, you stole a place from someone who would have benefited much more from attending Beacon.''
''But dad, its my destiny!''
''No! Your destiny is to go to college, and get a decent job. Your mother and I didn't bust our asses working all these years so you could become some sort of professional pet owner.''
''That's understandable.'' Said Blake. ''Its a little sketchy how the parents just let their child go off on a huge adventure, unsupervised.''
''And the protagonist is likely to go broke in the first week.'' Said Ren.
''Pardon?'' Said Pyrrha.
''Well, not counting how many 10 years would have poor money management skills. But back at Beacon, I was browsing DustTube, and a guy called 'Matpat' made a video on how rich a Pokemon Master would be. And counting every battle you can make money from, in a journey, you'd make significantly less than you'd think. So, if you aren't a Gym Leader or an Elite 4 member, there's no way to make a living off of being a Pokemon Trainer.''
Yang frowned. ''Well, that's depressing.''
''Yes, he actually said that it would be the 'Single worst financial decision in gaming, ever!'.''
''But Red's mom lets him become a trainer!''
''Who is Red?'' Asked Jaune's mother, finally stepping into the conversation.
''Uh, he's a super awesome trainer from Pallet Town! I follow his Twitter!''
''Your always going on about this 'Pallet Town'. What's wrong with Beige Town?'' His dad asked. Clearly unaware of the obvious answer.
Ozpin stopped drinking his coffee, mid-sip, as everyone just stared at the screen with a deadpan expression. ''I'm not even going to dignify that with a response... But I'm fairly certain we all know what's wrong with that. Right?''
''Right./RIGHT!'' Half of the audience said it calmly. The other yelled it at the top of their lungs.
''We're not even on the map, dad! I'm 10 years old! I'm an adult! I can go wherever I want!''
Ozpin nearly did a spit-take with his coffee. ''I'm sorry, did he just say he was an adult at 10 years old?''
''But he isn't 10 years old!'' Weiss argued. ''Just look at him, he's the same age as us!''
''Yeah, that's a reference to the anime.'' Yang clarified. ''Ever since the start of the anime, the protagonist has always been 10 years old. And that 'Matpat' guy did a video on it, and if Ash aged, he'd be 22 years old by now.
''There also the games.'' Added Ruby. ''The main character started of as 10 years off in Pokemon Red. But they got progressively older as the series pogressed, ending at Pokemon Black and White, where the protagonists were 15 years old. We all hoped we'd get a protagonist in their late teens as the series progressed but... No... They went back to being just 10.''
''Legally, yes, that is true.'' His dad noted.
''No. No, that is not true. Not at all.'' Ozpin corrected.
''But as long as your living under our roof, your gonna stay here and help out with the Deli.''
His dad then placed a paper bag on the table. ''Now go and take this Chicken Panini to the professor, then go to school.''
''It's just down the block, from-''
''I KNOW MOM! Its literally the only other house in town, god.'' He then took the Panini and stormed out.
''Rude...'' Ozpin muttered.
Meanwhile, Ozpin was slacking off on his duties as a professor. He just spent most days both smoking and growing pot. He had over a dozen pot plants growing under heating lamps on clear display for anyone who happens to enter. He alone was probably using over a third of Beige Town's electricity.
This got multiple reactions. Blake and Weiss were just staring at the screen in disbelief. Pyrrha, Ren, and Oscar were looking to Ozpin. The rest had just busted out into laughter. And Ozpin... his expression was... Unreadable... But he had tightened his grip on his coffee mug, and that's usually a sign to back off.
''Hey...! Jaune...! That my lunch...?'' He greeted Lazily. He was just SO high.
''Professor tree. You know a lot about Pokemon, right?'' Jaune asked.
''Not really... It was just the easiest grant to apply for... I get a monthly paycheck and a free lab... All I gotta do is count Pidgeys every one in a while... Then I can the rest of my time growing pot... Shouldn't have told you that... I'm super high...''
''So, YOU need a Pokemon Trainer to go out and study Pokemon for you, right?''
''Uh... Yeah...! Awesome...!''
''I'll do it! My journey begins!'' He then took a Kakuna, which was just laying on a nearby desk. ''I'll take this Kakuna as my first pokemon!''
''Wow...! Your good at this... I though that was a paperweight...''
''You and me, Kakuna; we're gonna catch 'em all! So long professor! Tell my parents I'm dead!'' Jaune then walked out, dragging Kahuna with him. He did forget one thing though.
''Jaune, wait...! You took my Panini...!'' He suddenly turned his attention to two Pidgey's that just flew in. ''Whoa... Two Pidgeys... A new record...''
Several students had multiple thing to say about that ending. Particularly about Ozpin being called 'Professor Tree'. But nobody wanted to risk provoking him.
