Harry Potter ain't mine. Sorry to burst your bubble.Author's Note:
This just . . . came to me. Yup. And I had to write it. Couples aren't really stated, but as it unraveled it became Bill/Fleur. So . . . that's what it is. Yup. Enjoy.*
Someday, he promises.
Someday, when liquid gold has tarnished and faded into dull gray strands; when she doesn't turn heads and captivate with single softly spoken phrases, when she is not beautiful, but she was - once, in a distant sort of memory that doesn't matter so much anymore.
Someday, he will still love her, because forever doesn't simply mean until beauty fades and passion ceases to linger in the sultry August air. Someday, he will still crave her kisses, even when once-silken lips are tired and worn with age and meaningless embraces.
Someday, they will be his parents, arguing lightly but still always in love, constantly in love, so much in love that it doesn't matter if they get on anymore or not. Someday, they will simply coalesce into one - without noticing, almost - and he will be a part of her; not only under satin sheets, air drunk with wine, but in a deep, spiritual sort of way that she's always doubted. Someday, in a way like poetry and sunrises and coffee fixed just the way he likes it best.
Someday, he will tell her that he loves her with his eyes closed.
Someday, he promises, and she tastes nothing but lies.
