Earth-2...
"How was your lunch with your son?" Karen asked, still sitting at Barry's bedside.
"Not good, Barry doesn't like me that much…" Jay trailed off as sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, mentally exhausted from all that happened in less than 24 hours.
"Wait, rewind a bit. Barry is your son?! How did that happen?!" Karen asked incredulously.
"Yeah. Anyways, how is Barry doing?" Henry asked as Karen scrunched her eyebrows together.
"We need to make a different name for the both of them," Karen began, "Barry's good, he's still a little shaken up and homesick but he'll get through." She finished, looking at Barry's sleeping form.
"That's good, just don't get emotionally attached with him. He will have to leave this Earth as soon as we defeated Zoom." Karen nodded her head at this.
"You should head home for the night, I will stay with him until you come back." Jay sat on the chair as Karen walked out of the labs but was swept off her feet by a streak of blue lightning. Zoom skidded into a stop at his lair, handcuffing Karen to a bed.
"I've always had an attraction to you, Powergirl. So beautiful and strong and yet, very vulnerable to this thing," Zoom showed a glowing green rock as Karen began to feel nauseous and dizzy, "What's the matter, Powergirl? Feeling a bit weak?"
"What do you want, Zoom?" Karen growled, struggling to keep herself awake.
"For you to love me, of course. And years in this place will do just that." Zoom said.
"Why would I love you!? You're ugly on the inside, whoever your father was, he must have been a monster." Powergirl said to herself.
"Yes, he was a monster…" Zoom trailed off as if he remembered a bad memory, "Anyways, have fun in our new home." He sped out of the lair, leaving a weakened Karen on the bed.
Meanwhile…
Barry was relearning how to walk and he simply walked around National City. Trying to get his bearings. And learn
more about the Earth-2 version of it.
Barry walked more a bit, he noticed the world seems to have a golden hue and a very retro-looking building and vehicles yet they were advanced, it was like the past and the future merged together. After his walk, he decided to go back to Star Labs and saw that only Jay was there.
"Where's Karen?"
"Well, I woke up from my nap and she was gone," Jay explained.
Barry frowned, he has a thought in the back of his head that Karen is in danger, the kind of feeling when he feels like Kara is in danger back in their Earth.
"Jay, how do you track Kryptonians? Or even traces of Kryptonite?"
Jay punched in a few keystrokes into his keyboard and pressed enter, and the location of Karen Starr appeared on the screen.
"What the hell is-" Barry was cut off by Zoom entering the Cortex.
"Hello, Flashes."
"You took her, didn't you!?" Barry accused the black-suited speedster.
"Took who? I don't know what you're talking about." Zoom mocked, speeding across to the other side of the room.
Barry sped out and grabbed Zoom by the neck and pinned him against the wall.
"Where is she!?" Barry demanded to know.
"You don't need to know that, you just need to listen to my offer." Zoom said before phasing out of his grip, "I didn't come here to fight, at least not yet. I want to make a deal, I will tell you the details when the deal happens."
Barry gave Jay a questioning glance. Should they do this?
"Don't make a decision yet, I will come back tomorrow with Powergirl and we'll see if I will have some fun with her tomorrow night." Zoom sped out of the labs, leaving the two speedsters alone.
"You've seen how hostage situations playout in real life, right? They never end well." Barry replied morbidly.
"Well, we need to focus on making a decision, we need to get Karen back."
Karen is in danger, she was like the daughter that he never had.
"We need a plan right? I mean, we just can't go after Hunter, we aren't as fast as him." Barry reasoned.
"That's exactly what I'm gonna do, I'm not gonna lose another friend or family when I can do something about it." Jay said with determination.
Barry nodded his head. "She reminds me of Kara, and I'd do anything for Kara."
"Then let's do the right thing, we'll wait until Zoom comes back then we give our speeds."
23 hours later…
Zoom came back to STAR Labs with Karen, and Barry and Jay we're waiting for him.
"What do you want?" Barry asked Zoom
"Your speed, Flash." Zoom said, blue lightning bolts were coming off of him.
"Well, you can't have it," Barry replied simply.
"You'll have to go through me to get his speed, right Flash?" Powergirl asked Barry.
"Right, I don't know who you are, Mr. Man in Black, but you need to go back to wherever you came from." Barry replied.
"Says the one who breached to this side of the Multiverse."
Before they could charge at each other, a breach opened up and Supergirl, Patty, Caitlin and Cisco came out of it.
"Kara? You shouldn't have come here, Zoom's really fast and powerful."
"And leave my boyfriend to fight with that guy? Nope. Plus, I'm also fast and powerful." Kara replied with a smirk on her face, Cat was right, she just needs to hope again, hope that the impossible will come running back to her life.
"Another Kryptonian? You're even sexier than Powergirl." Zoom flirted.
Barry immediately sped over to Zoom and punched him in the face, knocking him down, "Don't you ever talk like that to her."
Zoom looked up and saw seven heroes towering over him, he knows that this is a losing battle, so he stood up and said, "You win today, Flash but I will always haunt you." He then sped off.
"Are you okay, Karen?" Barry asked her.
"Yeah, I'm fine. So… she's Kara? Such a beautiful face." She said with a smirk.
"You look and sound just like me," Kara pointed out dumbfounded.
"That's the point, pretty face." Karen smugly replied.
"Kara, I was declared dead, wasn't I?" Barry asked solemnly.
"Yes… for five months, actually."
"Well, I can't imagine the ramifications of you bringing me back from the dead." Barry replied snarkily.
"Who cares? I'm just happy that you're alive," Kara walked closer to Barry and slapped him, not enough to break his neck but enough to hurt him, "Don't you ever do that to me, okay?!"
"First of all, OUCH! And second of all, you're married to Oliver Queen, in the future, now." Barry pointed out, a sad look etched on his face.
"So? I'm not going to let some newspaper from the future judge my decisions today, the future is what we make it to be and you, Barry Allen, are my future."
"I love you, Kara Danvers."
"And I love you, Barry Allen." They shared as passionate kiss as Karen watched from afar with a longing look.
"I told you to not get attached with him. He has his own Kara and has his own life, but I guess that's just life for us." Jay said as he walked up to her side.
"I-I know, It's-It's just…" Karen trailed off as Jay cut her off.
"You want what they have?" Karen nodded her head, looking on the ground in sadness as a tear fell down her face.
"Me and Kara have the same voice, same face, same everything but I'm older and more mature but nobody bats an eye to Karen Starr, only Powergirl. But Barry sees her as both, Kara Danvers and Supergirl."
"You'll find the one one day, don't worry too much, kid." Jay said as he patted her back.
Barry came up to them and said with a smile, "Karen, Jay, thank you for taking care of me while I'm here at your Earth. If you ever need my help, just crossover and I will be here in a flash."
"It goes both ways,… son." Jay said with a smile as Barry was taken aback by his statement.
"Son? I'm your son here?" Barry asked, confused.
"Yeah, I met with him yesterday. Although we're not on good terms here."
"I'm sure it'll get better in time." Barry wrapped an arm around Kara, "I guess this is goodbye then."
"Nope, it's a see you later, Scarlet Speedster." Karen said with a smirk.
"Godspeed, Girl of Steel." Barry smirked before turning over to Kara, "Now, how are we supposed to get back to our Earth."
"I got that covered, now hang tight because you're about to see all sorts of weirdness." Cisco raised his arm and a blue breach opened up, which amazed Barry.
"Home?" Kara asked her boyfriend as they stared at the breach.
"Home"
