Disclaimer - I do not own Naruto!

The familiar shrill sound of an alarm clock reverberated through a small one bedroom apartment. Blue eyes sprung open, and a body jumped out of the bed at speeds aided by adrenaline.

Naruto Uzumaki glanced over his room with caution before letting his gaze settle on the silver alarm besides his bed. Sunlight peeking into the room revealed a rather messy situation. Empty milk cartons and discarded cups of instant ramen were strewn about.

Walking slowly to his alarm, Naruto pressed his palm down gently onto it. Tilting his head to observe the back of his right hand, he felt the same amount of dread as the previous night. The mark on his hand was present.

A series of dark black lines that pulsed with ancient power laid upon his hand. He couldn't make heads or tails about the design or simply why it was there. Clenching his hand into a fist, the mark faintly glowed a deep blue and something stirred in his body. Immediately releasing the tension in his hand due to fear, Naruto backed up and did his best to keep the hand away from his body, no matter how impossible it may seem.

"The... Outsider..." Naruto didn't exactly know many people, almost everyone tended to ignore him, but he knew that was more of a title than a real name. The man said it wasn't a dream and he did... something to his hand. The poor eight year old couldn't comprehend anything about this situation.

As the marks glow faded, Naruto's eyes widened for a different reason. His alarm was set early on purpose. It was supposed to be his second day at the academy. The academy where he already failed. His head sunk down in self pity for a second. Only a second though, as a moment later his blue eyes burned with determination. Crossing his legs, he formed the only hand sign he knew. The one they were shown yesterday to focus on gathering chakra.

Breathing in deeply with closed eyes, as to calm his nerves, he momentarily forgot all about the mark. He tried digging deep for this energy. This energy called chakra. He didn't understand anything the instructors were talking about when it came to chakra, but he knew how shinobi used it for cool jutsu! He wanted to be like that, he had to.

Minutes passed and he felt his frustration rising. Patience was wearing thin for the already impatient eight year old child. Hands gripped together with considerable force for his age, Naruto tried to contain his own anger. Why couldn't he do it?!

'Why... why am I not like everyone else? Why?!' With teeth gritting together, he searched for a feeling... a sensation... anything!

The mark of the Outsider pulsed once more.

A whisper of an indescribable language rang in his head and Naruto felt his body lurch forward as a wave of nausea hit him. Holding back the overwhelming urge to vomit, he finally opened his eyes to take in his new position. He was on the other side of his room, directly opposite of where he was sitting on the floor. 'How... how did this happen? Who's voice was that?' It sounded nothing like the Outsider from his 'dream'. Naruto wasn't sure if he could even repeat the word that imprinted itself in his mind.

Tentatively he looked to the only source possible for such a feat... the mark. Almost as if it was staring back at him, the eerie glow lit up the already bright bedroom. Reaching with his left hand, he placed a finger on the branding. Expecting pain or potentially having the digit removed, he pulled it back with worry apparent. Although, there was no pain now. It certainly burnt his hand greatly last night, he's never even felt pain comparable to that. Now though, it seemed completely fine. Perfectly attached to his hand.

Using whatever deductive skills he had, Naruto came to the conclusion that instead of his chakra coming out, he summoned this thing. The Outsider's mark. Bringing both hands to his messy spikes, he pulled on the locks in confusion.

"What the heck is going on here?" Despite the fact that he was talking to himself, there was a strange feeling in his chest. A sense of foreboding took ahold of him. Eyes scanned every corner of his room, it felt like he was being watched.

He was no stranger to feeling the stares of people on your back constantly. Every time he would walk down those Konoha streets, many whispered or pointed at his back. This feeling was too similar to that. Albeit without the contempt or disgust present on other villagers faces.

Wetting his dry lips and slowly opening his mouth, Naruto began to speak to the empty room. "Hello?... Outsider?" His voice was barely a volume above what would be considered a whisper but that didn't matter. He received no answer, just the background noise of the village waking up for the day caught his eardrums.

Naruto didn't understand why he almost felt disappointed that the freaky man didn't appear. Raising his right hand, he closed his eyes in concentration. He moved before... he had to be able to do it again. Was this a jutsu? Was he going to be a shinobi?! The excitement bubbling inside of him was enough to make him giddy.

Keeping his gaze firmly on the mark, he tried replicating the same feeling as before. Throwing out his hand, he expected the movement to occur... It didn't. The mark didn't even glow.

Again and again he continuously tried focusing on that strange marking. His arm began to tire out from his constant motion, but he wouldn't stop until he moved back to the other side of the room. A small part of his mind told him to stop, this was dangerous. The mark, the Outsider, the movement. This all seemed impossible.

Naruto crushed down the part of him calling for a cease of the action. He needed to do this. Without chakra he could move across rooms, that had to be good enough to succeed at the academy! He needed to become a shinobi.

Unbeknown to Naruto, the more that very same mark pulsed with it's ageless power, the more the Void called to him. A presence floated behind the struggling child. One that dated far back to anything the beast inside Naruto could attest to.

The Outsider was watching. Those endless pools of black were focused only on the young boy doing whatever he can to replicate the technique once more.

The branding on the boy's hand finally pulsed, far more intense than previously and Naruto was pulled forward to impact with the wall on the other side of his room. Head cracking against the thin walls, Naruto's vision blurred. It was much faster than his previous accidental attempt and it hurt a lot more.

Unable to hold back this time, Naruto promptly released the contents of his stomach onto the wooden floor of his room. Heaving lowly, Naruto let one eye trace the pattern of his mark.

'This... Is it chakra?... I could become a shinobi...' Naruto's thoughts should have only belonged to himself in that moment.

The Outsider's lips twitched upwards.

With only a little blink, the boy was already providing entertainment.

It was only a matter of time for the waves of change to crash upon this world.

Thumping a pen against his clipboard rhythmically, Iruka Umino frowned at the class roster. A new addition to the academies staff, Iruka didn't expect to be thrown into a class setting already. However, a good word from the Hokage and some upstanding credentials landed him this spot in the village.

He enjoyed instructing, it gave him a certain sense of satisfaction to help others. That's why he didn't mind being close to home and not "on the front lines" like so many of his fellow chūnin. The first day passed and it went well all things considered. His fellow shinobi were upbeat and supportive, the students were eager, and he held his head a bit higher.

Then came along the current cause for his frown. Naruto Uzumaki. Everyone knew who he was... what he was. The adults and elders wouldn't dare prance around town revealing a secret of that magnitude loudly. No, they did it with hushed tones and contempt behind his back. But it was obvious to even the blind, nobody favored the boy. Not even Iruka.

Events surrounding that boy caused emotions to stir in the chūnin that he'd rather not reveal to a class of impressionable students. That's why he was having this dilemma. Did he truly care that the resident jinchūriki struggled to summon his chakra? Did he feel bad seeing the boy trudge away with tears stinging at his eyes? The part of Iruka that he wasn't entirely favorable of admitted that he truly didn't care one ounce for Naruto Uzumaki's plight.

However, being registered into the class and having the Hokage as the cause of that, he could not be ignored. Withholding whatever judgments on the absent jinchūriki, Iruka looked up at the ever curious class and spoke.

"Have anyone of you seen Naruto Uzumaki? Is he around the academy grounds?" Iruka knew he was grasping at straws here, especially after the pitiful display yesterday. He had to try though, as the title of being a teacher for the future generation of Konoha wasn't one he would take lightly.

Murmuring broke out from all sides of the classroom, the children began to talk rapidly amongst themselves.

"Who's Naruto Uzumaki? Never heard of him..."

"How does Iruka-sensei expect us to know?"

"Wait... is he talking about that failure from yesterday?"

A round of snickering came from two boys Iruka recognized as sons of one of Konoha's wealthy merchant families.

"Oh that loser! There's no way he'd show up, he can't even use chakra!"

Iruka watched a good portion of the class chuckle at the memory of the blond boy failing miserably. 'Maybe asking them wasn't the best idea...' Iruka was still new to this teaching thing.

"Settle down everyone, it was just a question. I'll... mark him as absent for the day... I guess." Iruka trailed off to himself. Since it involved the jinchūriki, Iruka was sure the Hokage would want to be notified.

For now, he had a class to teach. Putting aside the negative thoughts he had pertaining to Naruto, he cleared his throat and put his back to the chalkboard.

"Moving on! Can anyone answer this question... what is chakra?"

A hand shot up instantly, surprising Iruka. Pointing to the boy with a small white furred pup making a home on his head, the child gave an answer.

"That stuff shinobi use to do jutsu." That answer made Iruka deadpan. Maybe that was a loaded question for children. He wasn't technically wrong though...

"That was a good attempt..." Searching his roster quickly, he found the name. "...Kiba, but I'll explain it in a bit more detail. Please, pay attention to the lesson everyone." The boy with the dog grinned while puffing his chest out, proud of himself for the astute answer.

Iruka watched Kiba congratulate himself before averting his eyes to another student, this one already sound asleep at his desk... and the boy right of him was munching on an extra large bag of potato chips.

'This is going to be a long four years huh?'

Day turned to night quickly for the recently gifted child. Naruto sat in his small kitchen and loudly ate one of his many cup ramen. When holding his chopsticks, he couldn't stop his wandering eyes from tracing the mark over and over again.

The more he looked at the mark, the more a strange ache occurred in his head. It was faint, comparable to an itch he couldn't scratch.

A sudden round of knocking at his front door startled him. He sat firmly in his seat, eyes wide as the knocking came to an end. Naruto was about to loudly ask who could be at his door when the voice spoke.

"Naruto-kun, I'm here with your monthly stipend." The aged voice was familiar to him, it was the old man who came around every now and then. Otherwise known as the Hokage.

Before Naruto could scream out his acceptance of letting the man in, he closed his mouth in a snap. The mark.

'I can't let him see this right? He'll think I'm crazy if I tell him about all this... everyone already thinks I'm a freak, I don't want the old man to hate me too.' With that rationalization, Naruto shoved his hand under the table.

"Come in!" Only a second later, the doorknob turned and the robed clad form of the Third Hokage entered. The Hokage cap was held loosely in his left hand.

Hiruzen let his gaze sweep across the small apartment of the resident jinchūriki. It was certainly cluttered. He couldn't blame the child though, nobody taught him how to tend to his own home. Without his stipend, Naruto basically fended for himself even at such an age.

His eyes rested on the small boy holding his ramen cup at the table. He didn't look nearly as sad as Hiruzen was expecting. Naruto surprised him by not visiting him today. The recent chakra issue should have the boy torn up, but if anything, Naruto looked nervous.

Approaching the table, he laid a envelope down gently. It contained a hefty sum of money that could be used for Naruto's utilities and food expenses. Hiruzen knew the boy was actually quite frugal with his spending. He didn't buy the best clothing, nor did he buy the more expensive options of nourishment. Deciding to speak to the boy that was an outlet for his regrets, Hiruzen spoke up.

"The news of your chakra has reached me. I'm sorry that you were unable to channel it properly. Perhaps it'll become easier in time." The Hokage's words made Naruto frown deeply.

"I tried so hard. Everyone laughed at me too... even the instructors." Naruto admitted to the aged leader. Hiruzen sighed deeply, he loved the village deeply, but for its inhabitants to be so spiteful, what a shame.

"Naruto-kun. Do you still wish to become a shinobi?" Naruto's eyes lit up at the question. Nodding rapidly, he was about to jump out of his seat before he realized what was on his hand.

Hiruzen found it odd how Naruto seemed to force himself to stay seated. Plus his one arm was constantly under the table.

"I want to be the best shinobi around!" It was his dream for as long as he could remember. Being a shinobi meant a lot to Naruto. Most importantly, it was a way to earn respect from others. It didn't matter who, but as long as he was acknowledged by anyone, he'd be happy.

"I'll speak with the current instructor of your class. It won't be easy Naruto-kun, you'll have to try harder than your classmates. Do you think you're up to the challenge?" Hiruzen questioning earned a large grin from the boy.

"Yup! I can definitely do that. I'll show all of them that they were wrong for laughing at Naruto Uzumaki!" He slammed his fist against the small wooden table with a bang.

Hearing his words, the Third Hokage felt two things. One was elation. Naruto wasn't depressed like he excepted, and the boy held his shinobi dream closely despite the villages less than favorable treatment of him. The other emotion he felt... was disgust at himself. He came here to deliver the stipend, however, he needed to ensure the boy was still set on becoming a shinobi.

Konoha was strong. A tree that could not be uprooted by outside forces. A jinchūriki in the ranks was essential though. Was it wrong to force a child into this kind of life? Hiruzen supposed it was. Naruto is not an ordinary child though. This was his duty. Since the day Minato placed the Kyuubi into the boy, he had to be a protector of this village. Some semblance of peace may be prevalent right now, but if that were to change in the future, the power of the jinchūriki was key to war.

As a person, Hiruzen wasn't wholly happy with this. As a Hokage, this was what he's come to accept.

"Is that all old man? I wanna get to sleep early so I can train in the morning." Naruto's voice broke him from his negative thinking. Hiruzen chuckled lowly.

"You'll be attending the academy again tomorrow Naruto-kun. Try not to overdo it with whatever training regimen you set for yourself." Hiruzen smiled at him slightly.

"Okay old man... I'll do my best!" Naruto reassured the one he figured was responsible for actually letting him keep his dream alive.

"Very good. I'll be taking my leave now. Get a good night's sleep Naruto-kun." Hiruzen, after placing the Hokage cap on, tipped it towards the boy in farewell. Naruto waved with his available hand as the old man exited his apartment.

Hearing the lock click into place, Naruto leaned back in his seat. His right hand was raised to eye level and the black mark stared back at him.

"You're weird... that guy is too..." He said to the insignia on his hand. "But... you can help me become a shinobi." Naruto may be young, and at times he struggled grasping concepts, but he knew this mark must be strong. He was able to move really fast before, something that shinobi can do. Who knows what else it's capable of. That made the eight year old get excited.

As if it was reading his excitement, the mark began its pulsing again. Naruto scratched his cheek in confusion, he still didn't understand anything about it. Shrugging to himself, he prepared for bed.

After finishing his nightly routine, he jumped into bed and hoped for a nice peaceful rest. The previous night was fear inducing and he'd rather not go through that again. His eyes closed with his fatigue finally.

Naruto was awake before his alarm could go off. He stretched in his bed and was glad no disturbing dreams plagued him. The Outsider didn't make an appearance and the mark on his hand didn't send him crashing into a wall.

It was a successful sleep in Naruto opinion.

Yawning, he got out of bed and reached the door to his room. Opening it while rubbing at his eyes, he stepped out.

And then he fell. He fell fast.

Blue orbs widened when he realized what was happening. This was the same as the other night. He felt his heartbeat increase as he took in his surroundings. The Void. The empty scenery from before was changed now.

Above him was a perfect replica of his bedroom. The thrown cups of ramen and clothing were in the exact same place. While falling, he stared in astonishment.

The village... this was the village.

The Void created aspects of Konoha all around him. They all sat on individual platforms made up of stone. Half of the famed Hokage Monument hung over the 'imaginary' village.

Naruto was distracted by this imagery and didn't attempt to fix his predicament.

His arm was grabbed, the same way as his previous visit here, and he was suspended in midair. Looking up at what was holding him, blue eyes met deep black.

"Despite using the power of my mark, you are still incapable of traversing the Void. How curious." The Outsider told him. Naruto was about to respond when the man let go. Feeling the sensation of falling in his stomach, Naruto's mind moved at fast speeds. The power... the power of the mark. Maybe he could use that!

Seeking a platform or rock, anything, Naruto raised his right hand and the mark pulsed madly. His body was pulled forward and he stumbled onto a lone rock formation that hung underneath the imitation village.

Naruto was on all fours, breathing heavily at the action. He still isn't used to moving so fast and his body couldn't handle it. The mark on his hand hasn't stopped glowing, it was resonating with the twisted power of the Void.

"That ability... many before you have referred to it in different ways. My true words will be lost on you... a simple term would be 'Blink'." The Outsider leant against a pillar of rocks and stared at the panting boy. Naruto got his breathing under control and sat cross legged on the hard exterior.

"Hey! It's you! Stop scaring me with this weird place!" Naruto pointed at the man with a glare.

"Frightening you is not my intention Naruto Uzumaki. This is your natural reaction to this space. Your mind and body struggle to comprehend the sights and abilities before you." The Outsider angled his head towards the floating masses above them. Naruto followed his gaze.

"How is the village here? How did I even get here?!" Naruto was rightfully confused.

"I admit there are occurrences that I cannot explain. The Void reflects the bearer of my mark. This area... it's older than I. Older than anything you'll ever understand. You are here because it calls to you. Not only do you interest me, but the Void itself." The Outsider learned closer to the boy, squinting those dark eyes. "I've seen many men and women fall under various circumstances. The temptation of the Void was never this strong. What makes you so different? What makes it call to you over others?" Naruto tried to back away from the man, but his back met the rocky surface.

"You're a weirdo." The insult made the Outsider raise an eyebrow.

"I've been called many things. 'Weirdo' was never one of them. Interesting."

"... Can you please make some sense? What is this mark? What is this place? Who are you? What's this Blink thing?!" Naruto started to fire those questions out rapidly. The mind of the eight year old was naturally curious.

"I told you that you bear my mark. I've already revealed answers to the other questions. Although... Blink as some called it, that is only one ability of my mark." Pausing the Outsider disappeared. Naruto blinked his eyes before he felt his arm being raised unconsciously. The Outsider was studying the insignia on his hand. "Your mark is different. The energy your kind use... it is going to affect this in ways I've never seen. The abilities previous bearers have utilized became enhanced after sacrificing certain items to my being. These items are lost to time and the elements..."

Naruto scrunched his face up in thought. The Outsider confused him more than anything.

"Fortunately, my mark has timelines of experience. These powers, the ones that made men and women alike crumble or rise to glory, they will come to you. Depending on your ability, you can become the envy of your race. These shinobi, I've watched for years. Some have earned my interest for a period of time, but their actions became expected. You, Naruto Uzumaki, have many pathways. Many ways to grow and develop. The finest of entertainment is the one that I cannot predict."

Naruto glared at the man once again. "I'm not a toy that you can use! Stop acting like I belong to you." He didn't like the way the Outsider worded any of his sentences.

"I never claimed to own you. Your decisions will be your own. The mark will grow with you, adapt to your actions. Plotting, betrayal, love, hate, despair and hope all follow your race like a moth to a flame. Where will you end up? Even I can see these souls clinging to you. Souls that desperately call out to you for their own reasons."

Naruto painted the picture of a clueless child to the Outsider, not that the man planned to fix that.

"... In fact, perhaps another gift is in order boy." Naruto heard that and shot up to his feet. Taking a basic combat stance, he stared down the dark being.

"No! This thing already hurt like crazy. And then you pushed me into the Void! I don't want another mark." Naruto was on the defensive.

"This gift will be different. The harm it can potentially inflict on you can be emotional. Or maybe it will provide comfort? Sadness? Sorrow?" The Outsider raised his hand and energy filled his palm. Naruto felt a intense burning in his stomach and kneeled over to grasp it. Did the Outsider lie? Was it another mark?!

"This. Made from a living thing, molded by my hands. The soul contained within is one that will whisper all the secrets it has access to. Knowledge can be gained, but its presence is unnatural." The Outsider presented a peculiar item to Naruto. Through his pain, Naruto looked disgusted at what resided in the man's palm.

"A... heart?" A beating heart. Its beating was frantic as it was pointed at Naruto. The insides were vaguely mechanical, something that Naruto couldn't make sense of.

"I mentioned souls being attached to you Naruto. This one, this particular soul, the Void has singled her out." The heart magically appeared in Naruto's grip and he reacted accordingly.

"AH! Get it out of my hand!" He tried desperately to release his hold on a actual heart. It had no effect. He couldn't let it go.

"It's a manifestation. Despite being physical, others cannot see it. Why not try tightening your hold on it Naruto Uzumaki? Maybe the result will be different than you expect?"

Naruto didn't know what compelled him to actually squeeze a beating heart. It could have been the Outsider's insistence or his latent curiosity. Softly, he tensed his right hand and grasped the heart.

"My baby... after years, I can finally see you once again..." The words were whispered into his ear from an unknown source and Naruto felt tears coming to his eyes. The warm tone and emotion present in the obvious feminine voice sparked that reaction.

"W-What? Who are you? What's happening?"

The heart didn't respond. The Outsider watched calmly.

Naruto squeezed the organ again. The warmth on his hand made him both unsettled and oddly calm.

"This place. We will never understand the secrets behind it... but I will do whatever I can for you." The whisper had a calming effect on the boy, and he felt more tears coming out. Why was he crying?

This heart... this voice... they knew him?

"That heart will reveal many secrets. The Void has tainted it the same way as yourself. Return to your slumber... you start your academy days in the morning. What will you do with these abilities? Will your dream survive with the secrets revealed? Will you be able to handle loss?"

Naruto, still with tears brimming in his eyes, stared at the Outsider wearily. He was absorbing these questions as best as he can.

"What means more to you... acceptance and respect or love and truth?" Naruto felt his eyes start to drop and his grip on the heart weaken. The Outsider began to fade away, turning into faint wisps around the Void.

"Is it even possible to have both? Let us find out... Naruto Uzumaki."

His parting words made the world around Naruto crumble and the boy fell into the abyss without a struggle.

Sasuke Uchiha watched the current instructor going through his school roster for the third day. The first couple days were already disappointing for the Uchiha. It seems they won't be getting to the more hands on aspects of being a shinobi until the next year.

Sasuke needed that training, especially after certain events that were a fresh wound on the child. The physical and mental trauma suffered at the hands of Itachi, the one Sasuke trusted the most, warped the Uchiha's mind negatively.

What once was a bright child, was turned cold and distant because of the lingering effects of potent genjutsu and despair.

"Sasuke Uchiha?" Iruka's voice called out and Sasuke only hesitated a second in raising a hand. Iruka sought out the appendage and nodded accordingly.

Sasuke dropped the raised arm and turned to gaze out the academy window. Expecting a boring day, the Uchiha's mind started to wander.

"...Naruto Uzumaki?" Iruka's call was hesitant.

The class was silent and Iruka sighed before reaching for his pen. This would have be noted for the Hokage.

The sliding door the classroom opened just as Iruka's pen reached the paper.

Huffing and puffing, Naruto Uzumaki arrived. Dressed in his usual outfit for the warmer weather, a sleeveless orange hoodie and a pair of blue shorts covered his body. Strangely his hands were wrapped in white bandages.

"I...I'm here!" Naruto exclaimed after getting his breathing under control. Iruka noticed the bags under Naruto's eyes, showing he must have had trouble sleeping.

Discarding the jinchūriki's disheveled appearance, Iruka fought a frown off his features.

"Naruto, you cannot be late to class. You did not even show up on the second day. Failure to show up will result in a failure. Take a seat. Now." Iruka was cold and some of the children picked up on that. They weren't exactly sure why he seemed so mean to Naruto, but most didn't care enough. They judged Naruto on failure, as they were children, and seeing him fail in unlocking his chakra already gave him a bad reputation.

Naruto nodded with his head down. He couldn't explain why he was late to the teacher. Sighing, he made his way to the back of the classroom, feeling uneasy with the eyes belonging to his classmates on his back.

Seated in the back was an individual who looked at him strangely. Naruto noticed no one was seated next to them. Fighting it couldn't hurt, Naruto made his way over as Iruka's roll call continued.

As Naruto got closer, he took in their appearance, but was careful not to let his stare linger. Ebony colored hair with a tint of blue framed the face of this person. It was styled oddly with spikes and it reminded Naruto of his own wild hair. Delicate and dainty facial features held back emotions that many would suffer immensely from. Clad in a pair of white shorts and a blue collared shirt, Naruto thought they looked a bit familiar.

Sasuke rose an eyebrow at Naruto as he chose to sit here of all places. There were seats open but most tended to ignore the Uchiha for their own reasons. Not that Sasuke cared, hardly anyone mattered to the last of the Uchiha anymore.

"Can I sit here? I'm Naruto. Naruto Uzumaki." Normally his introduction would be a bit more extravagant, but recent events calmed him down slightly.

Sasuke eyed him from head to toe before looking away.

Naruto felt slightly offended.

"I don't care. Do what you want."

Naruto was offended now.

Sitting down directly on Sasuke's right, Naruto tapped his bandaged hands against the table. He let his eyes roam the room as he studied the others in his class. His stare would linger on certain people longer than others. Whether that be because of hair color, physical appearance or strange eyes, Naruto was a curious kid.

"Stop looking at people like that. They're going to think you're a freak."

The voice to his left spoke and Naruto narrowed his eyes at the source.

"I'm not a freak..."

Sasuke turned to the boy with a smirk.

"I never said you were. I said people will think you are. Now that I look at you again though, you definitely are weird." The Uchiha didn't know why that insult came out, but Naruto was having none of it.

Sasuke was pulled forward as Naruto gripped the collar of the blue shirt. Blue eyes met obsidian black.

"You're a bastard aren't ya?"

"Whatever you say loser."

Naruto grit his teeth at the condescending tone from the Uchiha. His true personality was coming out again, he didn't like being insulted.

"You think I won't hit you because you're a girl you bastard? You're not even a cute one!"

Sasuke Uchiha scowled at him as she heard that. She gripped the front of his sleeveless hoodie and got closer to his face.

"At least I can use chakra... loser."

Neither Naruto nor Sasuke can say who threw the first punch. All they knew was this was their first brawl of many.

Iruka was not pleased.

A/N - That's the chapter. I wish I could spend a bit more time on this story since I have a lot of places I want to go with it but I do have other stories and responsibilities ):

So if anyone who's reading is confused about Dishonored aspects or The Outsider, PM me or anything.

The Outsider is purposely not revealing everything to Naruto. Just like in the games, he will remain neutral to Naruto's actions. He's just in it for the entertainment.

The beating heart is also from the game. I bet it's not too hard to guess who's soul/spirit is actually inside of it.

And yeah, that's pretty much all I got for now. By the way, Female Sasuke... yeah, I don't know why that's one of my favorite things from fanfiction but it is.
