Chapter Two

Author's Notes: Thank you so much, June, for that wonderful, kind review! I really appreciate it. I was looking for a 'Stoick survives' story too, but there don't seem to be many. That's what led me to write 'Smacked' actually. Isn't there a saying that if you can't find the type of story, then you have to write it yourself?

I had intended this to be a one-shot, but then I had an idea set in this same universe where Stoick convinces Hiccup to become part of the High Council/Assistant Chief, and where Gobber takes on a new apprentice and them dealing with that. Who knows? I may just try my hand at writing it. I'm also working on modern AU with Hiccup and Toothless dealing with Hiccup's broken home, his stern disapproving father, and dragon poachers.
