So I'm going to admit. This is probably a bad. VERY BAD idea. But I kinda like it. So I'm posting this to see your opinion. If you're interested, please say so. If I get enough interested folks. I might continue this with a little bit more fervor.

It was time

Accelerator, the One Way Road, The one who wielded the power of God opened his eyes with indifference.

"So I'm dead huh?" He said to himself, without an ounce of concern. With a click of his tongue he looked around, "So where is this, it's not the shithole that I expected from hell."

That was indeed true. What Accelerator saw when he opened his eyes was nothing what he thought it'd be like. From whichever direction he turned to, the boy saw nothing but a bright blue sky above him followed by nothing but a layer, a floor made of clouds of the purest white. He stepped once to test the floor, feeling the softness through his shoes before clicking his tongue.

"Damn it all."

Where was the dark? Where was the cold? Where was the fire and brimstone he expected? The cages and jail cells lined by the millions as demons or something walked around to punish sinners. Accelerator was by no means a religious man, but he knew exactly where he was slated to go when he died.

"Oy! Get this over with already!" Not once did he think about Last Order or WORST, Yomikawa or Yoshikawa. Croronzon was taken care of, his vengeance was unfulfilled and he had to step up as a pseudo-hero of all things. The black haired bastard lost his arm and some egg encrusted entity that should have been from a Lovecraft entry started to grow out of him.

"Tch," He clicked his tongue again. It didn't look like anybody was gonna show. After a damn load of work, the hero got himself back together again. But at the cost of himself. Fine in his book. Academy City was set up better now that the frog faced doctor was gonna be in charge, followed by Last Order and Yoshikawa.

Suddenly the wind behind him blasted against his back. Since he was by all rights dead, he couldn't reject the gust. A light shined bright and gold as he turned towards it. He was hit with shock and a budding seed of fear grew.

"What kind of bullshit is this?!" His hollored, sounds from within his inner heart quivered as he backed up a step. A sight he never believed, dreamed. A place he rejected with all his being.

The white pearly gates, ivory and gold vines scrawled over it's pillars that surrounded a golden city behind it. The light and cool yet warm glow had him scowl at his own body's response. The songs that echoed in the street of the city continued with a great swell as if the inanimate objects sang too! His knees buckled, his hands and arms treasonously shook as he tried, tried not to scream with a full force of an Asura. But instead a whisper in his ear spoke the caged words.

Heaven

The holy city or whatever it could be depicted in any religion of where good souls reside after death. A place where he didn't have a single reason to even glimpse it.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?"

"You're dead, my son", He turned to the side, in his eyes was the image of a man. An old man wearing a simple robe with white hair and beard. The old man's gaze left him with a feeling that he was like an open book. He grit his teeth.

"You… I know that." He replied back, not caring about his state, "Why the fuck am I here?"

Like a sign of an anchor tethering itself, the man smiled warmly, making him step back. "Ahh. You do not believe you're worthy."

"Tch. Understatement old man. Who are you? The door greeter?" He replied with a growl, nerves calming.

"Hohohoho, Something like that." The man, now greeter, answered vaguely. "What's wrong, my son?"

"Don't call me that shitty old man." Accelerator clicked his tongue. It only earned another chuckle and a stronger feeling of… whatever it was emanating from the old man. "I don't belong there."

"I disagree." He said so calmly.

"You have a screw or something? Don't you know exactly who I am? What I've done?!"

"Come child. Salvation-"

Accelerator cut the man off with a shout, "Fuck your salvation Old man! Didn't you have a thing where sinners go to hell and that bullshit?! In fact is god fucking off on the job or something?!"

"Why do you say that, child?" Unperturbed the old man asked in good humor.

The boy grumbled, "Do I need to spell it out?"

He didn't as the thoughts were plain as day. And Accelerator knew as a dead person and if the old man was really one of those angels, then he didn't need to say a word.

"I see. You believe if god was real, why would all the evil the world. Why would villains be there to exert their existence."

Accelerator scowled, waving his arm around. "If god was here, sitting in that city of his, benevolent as those church mages from the magic side say he is. Would there be war, would there be famine, would children be sold off to the researchers of Academy City to work on the experiments that are shadowed in the dark side? Would the board of directors cover up missing persons for their chefs to use them as ingredients for the body crystals and NECTAR?"

"No doubt my child, that there's enough to speak of humanity's darkness that could fill heaven itself."

"Then." He closed his mouth from adding further. The words that would speak of his own history and choices.

The old man nodded, a bit forlorn. "As you say. Why would God allow these things to happen? Is he truly so benevolent? Perhaps he does nothing is because he wishes for humans to act upon the gift of free will."

"If God truly wanted to, God could rob you all of your free will, turning you into puppets without the ability to think for yourselves. Unfortunately, many humans choose the dark side more than the light."

Accelerator in a bout of uncharacteristic unease, shouted. "Then why bother?!"

"One could say the Lord has faith." The man jokingly answered, "Another would say God has love. Just as there are those that desire to do evil, there are others that desire to do good. Faith that the next day is better than before. Love that people may choose to do the right thing for others as they have done for themselves. One such example is the boy you look up to all the time"

He looked to the side, "The Hero..."

"For this love, god and heaven does nothing but watch. The fact that you're here deserving of salvation and yet you believe the complete opposite is a testament to this love, no?"

Accelerator looked stumped at that. Without an idea of how to react the old man didn't let up. Eyes crinkled in a way as if he was a grandfather welcoming his young charge. "Such is a man that sinned and by great effort, overcome your evil to attain his 'one way road' to the light. I do not see you wanting"

At those words Accelerator legitimately stepped back at the admittance. He quickly denied god in front of him, "That's- That's bullshit! No matter what you say, I'm not taking a step closer to that gate!"

"Such is the gift of free will. Perhaps you shall find your way back one day with your own acceptance." God didn't push further as he nodded to himself after thinking of some sort of plan.

"Wha-" Accelerator's red eyes widened to see God's hand over his face and another touched his shoulder. He felt something trace along his forehead before his body was leaned back out of its own volition. He was falling.

His vision started to get a bit blurry and he felt a cooling sensation on his back slowly reach his chest. The voice of god was barely heard in his ears, "I hope to see you again, young *********"

"What was that?!" Accelerator gurgled out his remark only for it to be promptly ignored.

"********* *********, Your next life in the living world; I have great faith that you'll see these gates after accepting your own redemption."

The first he noticed was the feeling. Warmth of the sun touched his skin as the gentle waves of water crashed on his body. Cries of the seagulls and other birds played along his ears as Accelerator's eyes opened through the water. The sky was clear without a single cloud to keep it company.

"Tch" The boy clicked his tongue while he got himself up off the clear and blue water of the deserted beach. Wiping his face, he checked what was on him and to his surprise, he was wearing the clothes he had on when he fought the hero. Fur lined jacket, long sleeved shirt, regular pants and shoes. All in white.

He still had his choker and inside one of his pockets was a wallet. International Passport, Identification, and money.

Shiragiku Ametsuchi
Gender: Male

Age: 16
Height: 164cm

"Shitty old man." He cursed, only to mumble later, "Damn it all."

A new life huh?

"Shoulda just been hell."

Inside the Saint Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City, a small candle was lit in front of an unassuming altar. It stood there, unperturbed, and unattended as its flame burned softly in the dark.

A/N: Woohoo! I love accelerator and this got me going as I watched the new anime with him as MC! In the LN, he did mention he only remembers how many kanji are in his original name. So I made it to be Shiragiku Ametsuchi. That's Two Kanji and Three Kanji respectively after researching on names. Shiragiku 白菊 meaning white chrysanthemum, in flower language meaning constant love, here a white chrysanthemum could mean "pure and endless love"

Hehehe. Accelerator in DxD! Where could he be? What happened to him? I thought it'd be fun to play with the idea that he was recognized for his redemption but he refused it himself. And he got Baptised! Just so no one is confused. Yes, He got Baptised. Symbolism and all that.
