She was beautiful.

From the way her long, burgundy locks flew around in the air to her emerald like eyes, Starfire was like an emerald.

From any glance, she shined, trying as much as possible to give a smile here and there.

She was so alluring, so captivating, she could make even the somber of folks cheer up. Even when throwing mustard all over any type of food she obtained, Starfire never lost her glow.

She truly was a girl who meant well. A girl who wanted the best for even the worst of enemies. A girl who did not wish the worst to happen for even the cruelest men and women.

Starfire did not see all enemies as all evil but, in truth, she saw the pain that shined in those opponents' eyes, much like she saw the pain that was sometimes in Robin's eyes.

After all, whenever Blackfire suddenly pops up and Starfire must unleash her starbolts, for a second, when no one is noticing but Robin who's shouting "You can do it Starfire!" proudly...

Robin catches the tiny specks of regret in Starfire's eyes, and he knows that she wish there was another way. Another chance for her elder sister.

That doesn't not mean that Starfire lets her emotions captivate her to the point where she allows Blackfire's violet starbolts to pierce her. To consume her.

That did not mean she was afraid to tell her friends—especially a certain male—when they were wrong. When an apology should be given out.

(Starfire was kind, but not weak. Those words are not at all synonyms.)

After all, a gem is as beautiful as it is a hard thing to crack, and Starfire was, despite her naive ways to the Earth's custom, a girl who would never submit herself into a doormat position.

It always amazed Robin, really, how strong she was. How she was able to break into him with her shimmering edges full of not cruel intent but friendly manner.

Romantic manner.

...

Robin is sure that he'll never find another girl that's more of a gem than Starfire.
