I'm back with another chapter, now I would like to say that I am sorry for how long this has taken but I had started off wanting the battle scene to be rather long and complex, something I haven't done before as most fight scenes I've done has been rather short. So I was out of my element and then I realized that Izuku isn't even at the point for him to be able to have long and drawn out fights. Thus I went with my normal and have decided to slowly work my way up to Izuku having big battles, easing me into writing big battels as I do so. Now, On with the Review Responses.
TheLeon1236 chapter 1. Jul 16
This story has some high potential to be something epic. Keep it going, make your own pace, the more the merrier.
Will his psyche change to accommodate his pride as "Sayan"? Will he have Ki transformations? How will they scale? Will his grandfather make an appearance? Will more of "Avengers" be involved proactively? Will Melissa obtain OFA? Will she join UA Hero course? Will Izuku be a dick or will he be levelheaded? Will villains from Avengers and DBZ make an appearance? How will his relationship with All-Might be? Will he hate him or will he make peace with him? Will Katsiki be more tamed or will he be out of the picture entirely?
~~ Glad you think so and I hope to meet your expectations, also, thank you for being understanding. As you have already seen, Izuku's psyche is changing due to his "Sayan" genes. I won't go into all of the details on how he will be changing but let's just say that fighting him isn't something that will be advised, especially if he's pissed. Yes, Izuku's grandfather will be making an appearance, though I won't say their name or when. Yes, more "Avengers" will be involved with Izuku. No, Melissa will NOT, under any circumstances, be getting OFA. Though she isn't going to be a sideline character either. I'll leave if Izuku is a dick or is levelheaded to you to decide, but he things are going to happen that will make it so he doesn't take shit anymore, more so because he is going to get "hurt" in a way that I won't say how. Yes, villians from DBZ and Avengers will be showing up. Not saying anything about his relationship with All-Might, anything I would say will give too much away. Katsuki will not be getting removed from the story but that is all I will say.

Chapter 2
The flight to I-island wasn't terrible, in fact, it should have been far from it given that David had sprung for First Class tickets for the mother and son duo. Yet, even in the lap of luxury that was First Class, Inko had very fitful sleep during the flight. As it was hard for her to do so when every time she woke up, Izuku was still sitting upright, crazed expression plastered across his face, staring at his still trembling palms. Though, even if Izuku had been sleeping soundly during the flight, it still would have been impossible for Inko to do so when she didn't know what was happening to her child. Or it would have been more accurate to say that she was ignoring the very obvious signs of what was happening, either way, the massive bags under his eyes assured the inevitability of her getting too little sleep.
As the tired mother and still in shock son made their way out of the insane security that guarded the mobile island. They were soon met with what would have been a stunning sight of some of the most technologically advanced attractions in the world. Yet, Instead, Inko was frantically looking around for whom she should approach to ask for directions, or for whoever was meant to pick them up. Meanwhile, Izuku's trembling form simply continued to hold his hands slightly away from his abdomen, palms to the sky, head slightly tilted down, staring at his shaking hands.
"Zuuk-Zuuk!" A female voice called as Inko's attention was to a blond girl bouncing towards them on the strangest pogo stick that Inko had ever seen.
Though it only took Inko a fraction of a second to recognize the girl as Melissa. It also quickly became apparent to the older of the two females that the blond was using the Po-go stick to speed up her travel speed after watching her use the metal contraption to clear an entire flight of stairs, and then a second flight of stairs with the recoil from her landing.
As the spectacled teen flew through the air, she quickly packed away her pogo stick to be no bigger than a flash drive that she quickly tucked into her pocket. With her hands freed once more, she stuck them out as she descended towards Izuku. When their bodies collide, she quickly wrapped her arms around Izuku's neck.
However, the two teens soon found themselves sprawled across the ground. Doing a brief roll, to get off of the now downed boy, Melissa sat up, turned, and looked down at her now prone friend, only to have a frown mare her expression.
"No need to worry, I'm sure your father will have Izuku back to normal in no time. Then you can drag him all over the island and get your hooks in him." Inko told the distraught teen, though she hardly sounded like she believed in her attempted words of comfort.
"That's right, Papa is one of the smartest scientists alive, he'll definitely be able to make Izu-kun better." Came Melissa's mumbled response, though her expression and tone made it clear that there was only a very small part of her that believed her words and the rest was desperately clinging to that small piece, due to her not knowing what she would do if her father couldn't help her friend.
"Melissa!" A male voice called out as two men came rushing into sight.
One was a rather short and portly man and the other had all the indicators of a middle-aged father and scientist.
"Sorry Papa, I…" Melissa began once the huffing men reached her, "I just thought if I could surprise Izu-kun enough, I could snap him back to normal," Melissa finished as she ran one of her hands through Izuku's hair with tears building in the corners of her eyes.
Even with her being among the top of her class and being the daughter of a world-famous scientist, she still felt so helpless. It was like when she was six and lost her mother to cancer. She was helpless then, completely unable to do anything but watch as her mother got sicker and sicker. And now, It was like she was seeing history repeat itself all over again, her best friend in the entire world was under a burden that she could do nothing about, she didn't even know where to start, nor could she even begin to fathom what that burden must feel like.
Finally reaching her breaking point, Melissa turned towards Inko and began crying in the woman's embrace. The sight wrenched the heart of her father and Sam, his assistant who was practically family by this point.
Melissa had always been a rather fragile girl when those she cared for were suffering from things she could do nothing about. The feeling of helplessness always crushed her very core. In fact, David had lost count of how many times he wondered just how bad things would have gotten if not for All-Might and Izuku. All-Might had helped to drive her further into her aspirations to help others by helping those that would save them. It was one of the very reasons that the blond teen was so determined to crack open the realm that was nanotechnology. As she knew that it not only had limitless combat application but was certain that it held the answer for the cure to cancer.
Just as All-Might had become Melissa's inspiration to help others, it was Izuku that had become her emotional pillar, and even the notion of losing him terrified the girl. Hell, whenever the anniversary of Mrs. Shield's passing came around, Melissa would enter a dangerously severe depression and her mood wouldn't show any signs of improvement until she could talk to Izuku. David didn't even want to think of what his daughter's behavior would be like during that time of year if Izuku hadn't come into the girl's life.
Nodding to Sam, the two men gave Melissa her time to vent while the portly man helped David get the now out cold Izuku onto his back. After this, Sam then gathered the few bags that Inko had packed.
Upon waking up the next day, Izuku had a spot of sunlight streaming into the room and directly into his face. Groning, Izuku, looked at his clock and saw that he still had twenty minutes before he had to get up and get ready for another day in the hellhole that was his middle school. A rather unpleasant thought for Izuku due to a few facts. First, was that school was practically a living hell for him. Then, you had that he would have to attend that hell with only having slept for a grand total of half an hour. Which had been spread throughout the entire night, despite his fatigue, thanks to the sharp pain he was feeling around his lower back to the upper butt area of his body.
He wasn't sure when he had fallen asleep first, as the last thing he could clearly recall was sitting down on his newly made bed, upon realizing that he had somehow already done his homework while looking at his trembling hands. After that, it was a blur, which was briefly cut by Melissa's enraged voice. Then everything became a blur again before it all went black upon feeling something hard hit the back of his head.
Deciding to be lazy for once, and not really giving a shit due to his exhaustion, Izuku went to roll onto his other side in a desperate attempt for sleep. However, as he rolled onto his back, Izuku found himself literally leaping out of bed due to the excruciating pain he had felt radiate throughout his body. It felt as though someone was ripping his body apart molecule by molecule at the speed of light. Yet, that wasn't the odd part, no, the odd part was that he couldn't identify where the pain had originated from.
Temporarily casting the thought aside, Izuku walked out of his room and into the bathroom, not alert enough to note that despite the layout being the same, the decor of both his room, the hall to the bathroom, and even the bathroom itself was different from those of his home. Though once he was in the bathroom, Izuku froze when he saw his reflection via the bathroom mirror. As floating behind him, to a rhythm that not even he knew, was what looked like a monkey tail. Once the reality of the situation had sunk in, Izuku not only accepted that he now had a tail but that it was a highly sensitive monkey tail. If the throbbing he could feel, from when he unknowingly pinched it, was anything to go by now that his brain was taking into account his new appendage and it's part of his nervous system.
Still ignoring the difference in his surroundings, Izuku began focusing on bringing the tail in front of him. Then, much to Izuku's surprise, he watched as the tail stopped aimlessly swaying and promptly wrapped around the side of his body to be in front of him. The entire event was just so easy, it was as though it was natural for him to have a tail. Izuku then carefully moved his hand to feel the throbbing area of the dark green, borderlining black when not in the right light, furred monkey tail. However, Izuku winced in pain as his finger touched where he had unknowingly folded his tail in on itself and pinched it together with his weight.
It was at this moment that Izuku finally took notice of the difference in his surroundings. Leading the young teen to rush back to his room where he saw what he would normally consider a feast of his favorite food with a small note.
Note
Izuku:
Before you start having a mental break down about where you are, we are currently on I-island. Melissa had called for your daily video call. When you weren't responding David came in on the call to see something was clearly wrong. I a few things for us and we flew out to the island where David had this fake house set up to help keep you from freaking out when you woke up. The Katsudon is your morning snack, David said that from the blood test he ran you are developing a much higher metabolism. So, it's either more meals throughout the day or bigger meals. Though with my culinary expertise, I figured having more meals and slowly shrinking the time between them back down to three meals a day would be better than forcing you onto one option or the other.
Love: Mom
EndNote
Deciding not to question why his metabolism suddenly had a massive spike, and not really caring at the moment due to him having Katsudon in front of him, Izuku sat down and devoured the two bowls of his favorite food. Yet, as he ravenously ate, like a man who hadn't eaten in weeks, Izuku couldn't help but note that the two bowls of Katsudon were not only different from each other but from a standard recipe for the meal. Of course, that thought didn't stay at the forefront of his mind for long, as he was soon prioritizing his enjoyment of his meal than anything else. Once done, Izuku walked back into the bathroom and began his morning rituals.
"Izuku! Come here, we have a guest." The green-haired boy heard his mother call him, something he chalked up to motion detectors alerting everyone that he was awake.
"I'll… I'll be right there!" Izuku shouted back, as he paused for a moment when he noted a rather important matter he needed to take care of first. The green-haired boy then quickly took off his pajama bottoms and underwear before using the scissors that were kept in the bathroom, grateful that his mother had apparently had a hand in ensuring he wouldn't freak out upon waking, to carefully cut a small hole in both his pajama bottoms and undergarments for his new tail. Once done, Izuku, threw his clothes back on and walked out of the bathroom. Izuku had thought about getting changed but concluded that it was still early enough that anyone who had stopped by would understand that he had just woken up, as well as that he needed to ask if his mother had even brought any clothes for him. The fact that he had been charged into pajamas completely slipping his mind.
'It's not like we are being visited by Iron Man or something.' Izuku thought to himself only to freeze in his tracks at the sight of Melissa standing right in front of the entrance to the temporary apartment setup.
Melissa, for her part, had on a dark blue vest that was buttoned, its deep v cut would have given a good view of her chest but had she a white piece of clothing on under it, and it hugged her body like a second skin. It was impossible to tell what type of shirt it was due to the vest, but it was clearly sleeveless as the straps of the vest covered the entire top of her shoulders but there was nothing that went beyond them. Covering her legs was a pair of black pants that looked like they had been painted on. Finally, she had a pair of white slip-ons covering her feet.
'HOLLY SHIT,' Izuku thought as he took in Mellissa's form while visibly swallowing. Sure, it wasn't anything new to him given their routine video calls, but the computer monitor simply didn't do Melissa's appearance justice.
"I don't think so Izu-kun," Melissa said as she pitched forward and slightly cocked to the side with her hands held behind her back as she held one of her wrists with one of her hands. 'HELL NO! Your mine and no other girl gets to see your cute ass like this.' Melissa instantly thought as she donned a happy smile upon seeing that her new stance was flustering Izuku. "Mrs. Madoriya left all your clothes in the dresser in the room. Now hurry up and go change." Melissa ordered out, with Izuku simply nodding and quickly turning to leave, never seeing the blond eyeing his backside up and down.
Once Izuku was out of sight, Melissa quickly brought the voice recorder out from behind her back and stuck it into her pocket.
'Phase one of, Getting A Date Day With MY Cute Green Monkey, complete. Now I just have to keep away from the others for the rest of the day. If all goes according to plan, we'll have a mutual confession by noon. After that, we can spend the rest of the day cuddling in my favorite spot, and that will lead to us sharing our first kisses with each other at sunset. Though we won't stop there, oh no, I'll finish things up by sneaking him into my room, which I've soundproofed, to fully claim him as MINE while we share another of our firsts. By the time Papa finds us, it will be too late and he'll have no choice but to accept our relationship, as by then not even Uncle Might's words will be able to sway MY beloved from me. And with Mrs. Madoriya on my side, Papa will have no one left to turn to, to help separate Izuku from me.' Melissa thought to herself as she waited for Izuku as she thought out where she would be taking Izuku throughout the day as she was sure her plan was full proof.
In fact, there were very few things that could make her plan fall apart. One was Izuku himself, which would only happen if she didn't carefully navigate them to each of their destinations for the day, as should she fail to do so he would see something that may attract his attention for too long and they would be caught
Another was that her favorite spot on the island was likely to be checked multiple times when her father realized what she had done, which was why she was holding off taking Izuku there until noon. That would ensure David or Sam would have already checked the spot enough to write it off.
So, all in all, the real challenge was navigating Izuku through the island to both places she liked and he would like all while doing so in an order that would ensure her Dad or Sam wouldn't be able to track them down before it was too late. Izuku would be hers by the end of the day and no one was stopping it.
Hearing Izuku come back out, Melissa was happy to see that he was in his signature red high-top shoes, dark gray that was borderlining black khaki pants, a white short-sleeve shirt, and to finish it off, Izuku had on a baby blue hoodie jacket that he left open with the sleeves rolled up to only cover his Biceps.
"Ready to go," Izuku asked with a smile and the faintest of redness to his checks.
However, instead of answering, Melissa moved forward and patted down Izuku's pockets before reaching into his right pocket and pulling out his cellphone. Melissa tossed the phone to the couch before she grabbed Izuku's hand and started walking. Not even giving Izuku time to process what was happening so that she could get her plan started.
Once they were out of the temporary house, Izuku saw why Melissa was obviously sent to get him, the temporary house was inside of a lab, something Izuku had anticipated thus he had gotten ready as though he was going to be going somewhere rather than simply entering another room. However, Izuku was quick to realize that Melissa wasn't taking him to meet up with everyone else and their "guest", causing him to internally sigh.
'Knowing Melissa, this was all the start of some sort of plan, so it'll be pointless to try and fight against it with how stubborn she can be,' Izuku thought to himself. 'At least she isn't trying to get me to stop being "The Hero" as she puts it,"
Though Izuku's thoughts were soon brought to an end when they were interrupted by the sound of a massive explosion. One that initially had Izuku starting to think the Island was being attacked by Villains, but between Melissa's unphased attitude, the sure level of security the island had just to get in, and the sign on the building that it came from, that possibility was quickly crushed. Yet upon reading the name of the attraction, Izuku's body seemed to lose the ability to function, causing him to abruptly stop with his attention locked on the building.
Turning to look back at Izuku after being jerked to a stop, Melissa found him with his gaze locked off to the side with wide eyes. Following the direction Izuku was looking in, she saw him looking at a Greek Gladiator-esque building. Above what was clearly the main entrance was a bold sign that read, Robo Battle Royal, with a massive monitor above it displaying the clips of different combatants using their quirks to battle robots.
Then, like a hypnotized moth to a flame, Izuku started walking towards it.
"Izuku, no, it's too dangerous. Izuku, please, don't…" Melissa began begging the holder of her affection, with the only reason that she wasn't getting mad was because of Izuku seemingly moving on autopilot.
After mindlessly signing the waiver, despite Melissa's best attempts to keep him from doing so, Izuku approached the entrance to the tunnel, with the guards having to pull the frantic daughter of David Shield away from him.
Start Blue Stahli - Rockstar
Upon the door to the entry tunnel closing behind him, Izuku's mindless state seemed to vanish, or at the very least it had greatly dissipated. Yet, with every step down the tunnel that he took, more of the feeling that he had hen fighting the sludge villain returned. Only this time, every part of that feeling had been cranked up to eleven. Whereas before his blood had felt like a liquid fire coursing through his veins, it now felt like someone had found a way to turn a supernova into a liquid and replaced his blood with it. Then, where each strand of his muscles felt like they had been turned into lightning, they now felt as they had been turned into densely packed thunderheads that were each firing off lightning strikes like they were bullets for a machine gun.
Izuku was so focused on the feeling that had started to course through his body once more, he failed to note that with every step, his breaths became shorter and increased in frequency until he appeared to be on the verge of hyperventilating but never actually doing so. Additionally, Izuku didn't notice or feel that his hands had slowly bawled themselves into fists, with his eyes dilating to the point that they looked like white orbs. There was also the fact that his hair was standing on end and swaying as though he was submerged underwater(1). Though the most jaw-dropping aspect of Izuku, for those that knew him, was the thick bolts of emerald lightning that were randomly, as well as briefly, bursting to life and wrapping around his form.
"And we have our next Gladiator, Izuku Midoriya, just how well will he fare against the onslaught? Will he persevere and dethrone the record of the reigning champion, or will he crash and burn. Either way, we're about to find out, BATTLE START!" Izuku heard the voice of an announcer shout just as he reached the exit of the entry tunnel.
Pause Song
Upon being forcibly pulled away from Izuku, Melissa proceeded to violently knee the security guard in his groin. Once free of his grip, the girl spun around while lifting her leg to slam her shin into the side of the man's head.
Let it not be said that Melissa's father and All-Might hadn't seen to it that she knew how to defend herself, by any means necessary, and in all reality, they didn't have any choice but to do so. Melissa was an extremely bright and strong-willed girl, she knew that being her father's daughter and trying to follow his footsteps was going to put her in danger. Additional factors were that she was Quirkless and that she knew what most boys thought about her given that she had given enough asses the time of day to find that out the hard way. In turn, you got the results of her not only needed self-defense training to enforce that she wasn't the type of girl most guys thought her to be, but to also help her stall for time so a Hero could save her if she couldn't get free.
Knowing that she would be safe for at least a few minutes before the guard woke up, or a coworker saw him via the security cameras and they called the police to remove her from the premise, Melissa bolted for the stands. Upon bursting through the doors to the seating areas, Melissa absentmindedly noted that the building had, in fact, been built like the gladiator arenas in ancient Greek, though the arena walls had metal polls evenly spaced around them. However, all of that wasn't what mattered to Melissa, no, what mattered to her was Izuku. So the instant that she was in the spectator seating, Melissa ran up to the guard rail and latched onto it so hard she subconsciously could have sworn that her hands were going to leave impressions even if she knew she didn't have the strength to actually do so.
"I take it your Forine Mystery Man signed up?" A female voice calmly asked beside her.
"He shouldn't be down there, it's too dangerous," Melissa frantically said, never once turning to look at the woman talking to her as she kept her eyes glued on the competitor entry point.
"Don't worry, my hubby wouldn't dare let the operators hurt any of the competitors, let alone when they come in with you begging them not to sign up. You've also come here enough with your dad when you were younger that you should easily remember what our policies are about hurting combatants. Though next time, could you please not be so rough on our guards, they were just doing their job. You even laid out Mark when he was personally handling you to make sure none of the newbies got too handsy with his little sis." The woman said as she slung her arm over Melissa's shoulders and gave her a comforting squeeze.
"For his sake, you better be right or you two will have to put off starting your attempts at starting a family, your right that I have come here enough 'when your bots weren't repaired right', they shouldn't have been getting in my way, and Mark shouldn't have known what I would do to him when he was in my way given he helped Uncle-Might train me to fight." Melissa rebutted the woman in the exact order of points that she had brought up, though not before ensuring she knew that consequences would be if she were wrong, causing the woman to shake her head.
As the woman did have to admit that she had better be right, or her husband was also going to be getting well acquainted with the feeling of their couch for the foreseeable future, she wanted kids dammit, and she was tired of waiting. However, she also knew better than to stop Melissa if the man she had married, strove to prove her wrong. Additionally, the woman had to admit that Melissa did have a point that Mark really should have known what Melissa was going to do to anyone in her way, given the circumstances, so all sympathy for the man vanished. It was his own fault that he and a quarter of their more experienced security were now in the infirmary holding themselves in the fetal position.
"And we have our next Gladiator, Izuku Midoriya, just how well will he fare against the onslaught? Will he Persevere and dethrone the record of the reigning champion, or will he crash and burn. Either way, we're about to find out, BATTLE START!" The voice of the commentator announced, but to the surprise of both women, a streaking mass of emerald Lightning(2) rushed out of the tunnel and met the charge of the battle-bots mottled after the combat bots used by UA, or more accurately the bots that were tested here for UA's entrance exam.
"I THOUGHT YOU SAID HE WAS QUIRKLESS!" The woman exclaimed in shock as she released Melissa and grabbed the rail as well. Though she failed to get a response and was unable to tear her attention from the savagery before her to check the girl's own state.
Restart song
Charging forward, Izuku slammed his fist into the head of a bot with a 1 on it. Though the sure force of Izuku's fist that the head was cracked down from a rectangle to a densely packed square. Only for the head to also be blasted off and fly back and ripping off the heads of three other robots with 1s on them.
Before the body of the first robot could even start to fall, Izuku had grabbed one of its arms that he was quick to use to rip it off of the ground, spun around, and sent it slamming into the body of the one pointer slamming into the body of a three-pointer. Causing both to explode.
Suddenly bending backward for seemingly no reason, Izuku shot out his hand in the same instance of him bending backward, revealing that he had grabbed the severed arm of a one-pointer which would have taken his head if he hadn't bent backward when he had. Spinning around, Izuku threw the one-pointer's arm like a spear through the chests of a line of two-pointers. However, as he spun around, he also saw that he was about to be overwhelmed by a sudden wave of bots on all sides, so Izuku instinctively held out his hands to either side of him, as though she was holding two walls apart.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH," Izuku began screaming as the emerald lightning, that had been sporadically flaring to life around his body began to build up around his body at such a rate that there was soon so many bolts of lightning that one could scarcely even catch a clips of him despite the cameras slowing down the impending clash for the audience.
However, just as the encompassing wave of bots were about to close with the lightning dome around Izuku, the sphere suddenly expanded outwards with that gapping between the bolts of lightning increasing as it did so. Yet, as the expanding sphere came in contact with the robots, they were shorted out with a rapid chain of mini-explosions running over their bodies before their, "corpses", were sent flying and ended up halfway embedding themselves in between the polls that were vertically lining the arena.
"Un… unbelievable, in a single move, Izuku Midoriya has just taken out every, one to three-pointer robot on the field for a grand total of one hundred points." the announcer began, breaking the silence that had fallen over the spectators before that erupted into cheers at the display of power.
Thankfully, the arena's speakers allowed the announcer's continuation to be heard even over the cries of the adoring crowd.
"Certainly a praiseworthy feat to be sure, however, how will our young gladiator fair against our next robot. That's right folks, it's time to unleash the bot that has thwarted all other competitors to reach this stage, it is a bot that has only been defeated by Pro Heroes in training that wished to test their metal, The Chimera!" The announcer, exclaimed as one of the many gates on the Arena's walls slowly pulled open with the continually eerie squeak of an unoiled gate, causing a nose that rivaled that of nails on a chalkboard.
Yet before the robot could make its appearance, Izuku dropped to his hands and knees before he promptly passed out.
With Tony Stark
"Power disconnected," a robotic voice said as Tony opened his eyes and got out of an alcove that looked to have been inspired by the Borg Alcoves from Star Trek.
Looking around the room, and seeing so many of his friends' alcoves empty never failed to depress the man known as Iron Man.
"This had to start happening sooner or later Tony," A male voice said, causing Tony to turn to see a much older Steeve Rogers then what the public was used to seeing.
"I know Cap, I know." Was Tony's simple response to the first avenger. "So, why you here, I thought you said my plan was an abomination?"
"It is, was, and always will be, even with your failsafe. It still turns my stomach to use the altered version you made me so I could 'keep up appearances'. Though it hardly matters now, you convinced the others to go along with it." Steeve lamented before he got serious. "I heard you finally found a successor."
Hearing this, Tony walked over to a table in the center of the room where he picked up a damaged notebook and just looked at it for a few minutes.
"It's funny when you think about it. You were the first avenger and the first to find a successor. It also took a bit for us to work together as a team yet the rest of us all seem to be finding successors at the same time. Each of which, are similar to each of us in so many ways. Makes you wonder if history really does repeat itself or if humans repeat history." stark answered before looking at the aged Rogers. "Ya, I found my successor, he's a quirkless kid from Japan. Now, what about you?"
"Got a lead on the last head. I'm going in, old school, just stopping by to talk one last time before I head out to let Toshinori know."
"So this really is it."
"Afraid so, and I said it then and I'll say it now, we have to leave things to the next generation at some point."
*sigh*
"It was nice knowing you, cap," Tony said as he moved to stand on a round disc with his back to the man that had become one of his closest friends.
"You too Tony," The First Avenger said as he got up, walked to the door, and grabbed the handle, with his back to the other as well.
Both paused for a moment before Steeve went through a door and Tony dropped out of the chute.
Back with Izuku
"Wait, what's going on," Izuku asked as he stood up from a barber chair, only to have his shoulders grabbed by Melissa wich made Izuku gulp in slight fear.
Not a moment after he had woken up, then Izuku had found himself being pulled off by Melissa, who insisted on holding his hand as she pulled him along. At first, he had tried talking to her to find out what was going on but was quick to delve into a mumble spree about if Melissa had reached the "silent fury" that Masaru had warned him all women had. Izuku also muttered about what he could do to calm the girl down if she had reached her "silent fury". However, the next thing he knew, he was getting sat down in a barbers chair.
"Izuku, trust me, as your friend, and as a girl, when I say you need this haircut. I haven't ever steered you wrong before, have I? No, Our fights about you being a Hero or a Support Engineer don't count." Melissa stated, quickly shutting his response choices down to A. saying or showing that he didn't trust her and getting into a fight because of it, B. insisting that their fights did count and getting into a fight about his dream, or C. relent and do as he was told to preserve the peace as well as show that he trusted her.
As such, Izuku went with option C. as not only did he want to preserve the peace and not fight with his friend, but didn't want to get ditched when he had no clue on where to go, no means of contacting anyone he knew, and no money as he now realized that Melissa had also stealthily snatched his wallet when she revoked his phone.
'Her and her brain, how the hell is she always three steps ahead of me. Yet she still can't figure out why I won't play chess with her anymore. I mean, why the hell would I when I can't take getting my ass kicked anymore.' Izuku thought to himself as he began to delve into the depths of just HOW Melissa's plans were always three steps ahead of him, causing him to miss the flashes of a camera as he got his bush for a head of hair, cut.
When the barber had finished their task, Izuku was finally allowed to see his reflection and was surprised to see that he had been given a High Fade Quiff Haircut, which complemented his hair's natural style quite well and was a haircut that Melissa had been trying to get him to get for months.
'Shit, she was right, is this what Uncle Masaru meant. When he told me I should just get used to being wrong?'
Flashback
Inko was currently in the kitchen, having just finished making Katsudon. However, given that Masaru and Mitsuki had yet to arrive for the monthly get together, though they always made sure to leave Katsuki behind, Inko put the freshly cooked Katsudon in the oven. As thanks to it being an older gas model oven, there was a pilot light which was always lit and kept the oven at a temperature that was perfect for keeping meals at a freshly cooked temperature for a little bit for whatever reason that they needed to be put off.
Ah, the beauty of owning an apartment complex, sure, it might not seem like the most glorious place to live, but Inko could control what was renovated and where, or at least so long as everything was up to code everywhere else. This also meant that the entire top floor apartments were theirs to use as they pleased. It also had the added benefit of being paid rent by the other tenants that she used the profits from as continuous funding for Izuku's High School/ College tuition. After all, with his brain alone he was bound to get accepted to any College he applied to, and given that they lived in Japan meant paying for general schooling as well. So she needed to ensure he would have the funds to attend his chosen school and College, though she wouldn't be making the same mistake of going with one of the schools in the area. Oh, no, this time he would be going to the school he wanted to go to. Yet, on the other hand, the downside of owning an apartment complex and having the profits stream right into an account for Izuku's schooling was that if something broke, she needed to work more cooking jobs to pay to fix it, though that was hardly a problem for her.
Of course, back in the present, with Masaru and Mitsuki having yet to arrive, that left her a golden opportunity to spy on Izuku's call with Melissa. The thought of compromising her son's right to privacy never felt right to Inko, which is partly why she cooked him Katsudon so often. Yet, knowing the importance of her and David's plan succeeding had always pushed her to get past her guilt. As the intrusion was for his future happiness and safety. Let alone how elated her love would be to hear news of Izuku and Melissa, after all, he and David were like brothers.
Tapping a coded note to the wall by the front door, that Izuku would think nothing of if he read it due to how it was coded, she could never be too careful in hiding her spying. Inko walked out the front door and down the walkway to the apartment at the end of the building. Slipping her key in to unlock the door, the worrywart of a mother quietly slipped into the apartment, only to be greeted by the sight of a high tech, and highly soundproof recording studio. Hooked up to the audio panel were several servers, which, in turn, had multiple monitors hooked up to them both inside and outside of the booth. Each of which, currently were displaying the face of one Melissa Shield.
The said girl was, at the moment, diligently typing away at a keyboard, causing for a robot to occasionally remove a wire from one port in the audio board and place a different wire in its place or in another port altogether. Several of the nobs and slide switches were also seeming to magically move on their own. As the young woman controlled all of this, she did so without even needing to look at the keys of her computer, showing just how skillful she was as well as how often such an occurrence took place, all while she kept her gaze locked on Izuku.
Inside of the booth itself was every musical Instrument one could ever need, all of which, Izuku worked very hard to master, a sad benefit of only having one friend, was all the free time that came with that fact. Even more so when the said friend encouraged Izuku's musical repertoire. Though that in itself came with the benefit of Izuku gaining another friendship with one Jirō Kyōka, who was also currently inside of the recording booth and was both just as musically gifted, if not more so, as well as equally shy about her gift.
Sitting just inside the door acted as the perfect hiding spot, it allowed her viewing of one of the monitors, but kept her hidden from the cameras used in the room, then there was also the fact that it allowed for her to hear everything happening in the modified apartment while still giving her a quick escape if needed. Now, most would find not being able to see everything that was happening to be a massive hindrance to their spying efforts, however, Inko knew her son well enough to easily be able to figure out what his body language and expression were like just off of his tone. Well, that was most of that time, there had been a few occasions when she had caught sight of Izuku's reflection in one of the non-active monitors and saw that she had guessed wrong, there were also times when the same had happened and had been right. It was a skill she was honing to the best of her ability, and over the years, and had improved her accuracy rather drastically, taking classes on psychology had greatly helped with that.
Though at the moment, Inko couldn't stop her grin from trying to split her face in half. As before her eyes, she saw Melissa wearing an outfit that was a black, long sleeve, silk, button-up dress shirt so it didn't have a rigid collar that stiffly folded over itself, instead it was gently laid flat over her shoulders. Covering her lower half, was a loose white skirt that reached her mid-shin and looked like it belonged on a stereotypical white summer dress with it having a slight waviness to it, ensuring that should there be a slight breeze blowing it would move like rippling waves. For footwear, the scientist in the making had on royal blue, short heeled, sandals heels. Around her waist, was a royal blue pirate sash that was tied on her hip, safely securing her skirt to her form with the ends only reaching down to her knee. Finally, in her hair, was a royal blue hairband that appeared to be made from felt cloth wrapped around a frame of some kind and had a straight bow decoration on the left side.
The blue brought out Melissa's eyes, that Inko knew Izuku often had to fight to not lose himself in. Her dark shirt making her blond hair pop, which helped to highlight her facial features by creating a bold framing around them. Additionally, the shirt accentuated her upper body due to Inko being able to clearly tell that it was most definitely a size too tight from how it hugs the girl's arms like a second skin but only slightly hugged her torso thanks to her only doing a lose tucking in. In turn, making the shirt, that only had its collar button undone, show enough of a form to give a good idea of what her figure would be but was still loose enough to truly show her upper figure, which left it up to Izuku's imagination. Finally, despite the soft flow of the skirt, it did an excellent job of outlining her hips, and when the girl turned around it presented her butt in the same manner that the shirt did her bust, with the sash helping the skirt to do so.
All in all, Inko knew that the outfit made her baby perceive Melissa as a goddess on earth while still making her seem rather shy about displaying her body. Which, did absolute wonders for enabling the girl to keep an air of attainability.
'David Shield, you genius of a man, just what brilliantly insane type of story did you let her overhear to get her to dress like that. Izu isn't going to get the image of her in that outfit out of his head for weeks, he may not even want to and end up locking himself away in his room. At this rate, Izu's going to sell off all his All-Might memorabilia just to get the funds to fly out to I-Island and abduct her for a date without tipping either of us off to what he's doing. If that happens, we'll have to forcibly keep them away from each other as I don't think Izu will be able to hold himself back, and Melissa seems like she would be all too willing to let him do as he pleases. Good God, they're only in their second year of middle school, how the hell are we going to keep them from becoming parents for the next five years so they can at least be of-age when they do.' Inko thought to herself as her mad-woman grin morphed into a look of horror but was quickly pulled from her thoughts when she heard her baby's voice.
"L… let's ta… take five, I… I… uh… Ineedabathroombreak,"
Hearing her child's comment, Inko quickly slipped outside but stayed watching as she was careful to leave the door cracked just enough to do so. From her angel's stuttering/ rushed speech and flustered tone, Inko had a very good idea of what Izuku looked like at the moment. And she was all too pleased to glimpse her son rather stiffly rushing to the renovated apartment's bathroom with a cherry-red face and steam practically pouring from the top of his head like the smokestack of a steam engine.
Once her child had blocked his sight of the entrance, Inko slipped back into the apartment to listen in on the girls' talk. This was sure to provide invaluable information that she would assuredly need to pass on to David, even more so than what it already had been.
"Damn girl, what are you trying to do, give the guy a heart attack?" Jirō teasingly asked her foreign friend.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Melissa retorted, though the blush that divided her face ruined all her credibility, her inability to maintain eye contact and shaky tone didn't help her case either.
"Oh that is bull and we both know it. First, you wear that, then you go and spend hours making sure your camera is catching you at all the right angles to fill Yauku's head with every angle of you. I mean he nearly dropped just from seeing you. And do you really expect me to believe you aren't trying to keep Yauku's attention solely on you when every time he starts to focus more on our jamming than you, you shift your stance." Jirō sated as she was quick to obliterate Melissa's poor attempts at denial.
"Ok, fine, I admit it, I really like Izuku, how could I not, I've known him for nearly my entire life, he's the only guy who can keep up with me when I talk Science, funny, cute, and is the nicest guy that I know. Sure, he's two years younger than me, but every other guy I've ever given a chance has been an absolute prick."Melissa answered as she cracked under the knowing look of her's and Izuku's mutual friend.
However, before Jirō could continue to press the rare advantage of having backed her genius friend into a corner, or Melissa could formulate any sort of wordplay to be able to once again successfully deflect her friend's interrogation, Jirō's phone chimed. Taking a quick look, the dark-haired girl couldn't help but frown.
"Look, I gotta get going, my old man's starting to lose his lid about where I am and is driving my mom nuts. So I've got to bail her out, let Yauku know I had to take off, would you. Oh, and don't think we're done talking about you trying to seduce him." Jirō stated as she grabbed her jacket, while one could hear a muffled curse in the background, and headed for the door.
Having heard what she needed, Inko quickly moved back to the apartment that she and Izuku spent most of their time in. A few minutes later Izuku came in and "informed her" that Jirō had to take off and that Melissa was going to be helping him study. Though he conveniently forgot that his mother knew for a fact that he got perfect grades, and didn't actually need help with his studies.
'Melissa's already head over heels for my baby, and unknowingly has her spell on him, YES, everything is going according to plan,' Inko victorious thought, giving Izuku a minute or two to get comfortable in his room, and subsequently distracted by Melissa, before starting up her spying again. All as she forgot about her horrifying realization that she had moments before.
After all, while the first phase of her's and David's plans had been flawlessly achieved, the next was going to be tricky, so they need more information.
However, that was a decision she was quickly come to regret as by the time she approached Izuku's room, any pleasantries between the two had dissolved and the yelling had started. It had made Inko want to kick herself for not realizing her error of not dissuading their studying as that was a fast track to talking about school, which always lead to talking about their what they wanted to do. In turn, creating a situation that was primed for a fight between the two.
"WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE THE ONE TO PUT YOUR LIFE ON THE LINE!? YOU KNOW HOW DANGEROUS IT IS FOR PROS, AND THEY ALL HAVE QUIRKS! THE DANGER SOMEONE THAT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A QUIRK WOULD BE IN AS A PRO IS INSANE!" Melissa yelled at Izuku, a crossed expression on her face.
"OH DON'T EVEN START WITH THAT! YOU KNOW QUIRKS AREN'T THE BE ALL END ALL IN A FIGHT, I'VE SHOWN YOU COUNTLESS EXAMPLES OF HOW SOMEONE THAT'S QUIRKLESS COULD TAKE OUT SOMEONE WITH ANY OF THE QUIRKS YOU'VE THROWN AT ME! THERE ARE EVEN HEROES THAT DON'T HAVE QUIRKS THAT AREN'T COMBAT ORIENTED WHATSOEVER!"
"NAME ONE HERO THAT DOESN'T HAVE POWERS TO HELP THEM IN A FIGHT!"
"I'LL DO YOU ONE BETTER AND NAME TWO, BLACKWIDOW AND HAWKEYE, NEITHER OF THEM EVEN HAVE POWERS! THEY USE PURLY SKILL AND TECH TO FIGHT AND THEIR PART OF THE WORLD'S STRONGEST HERO TEAMS TO HAVE EVER EXISTED!"
"A HERO TEAM THAT HAS A GROCERY LIST OF ARCHENEMIES! THEY CAN'T EVEN HAVE A FAMILY (3), IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT? TO BE FORCED TO LIVE A LIFE ALONE FOR THE REST OF YOUR DAYS! TO NEVER BE ABLE TO HAVE A FAMILY OF YOUR OWN AND FORCE YOUR MOTHER TO HAVE TO LIVE IN HIDING, JUST SO YOU CAN HAVE YOUR DREAM!"
"THAT'S WHY THE GOVERNMENTS MADE BRANCHES OF THEIR MILITARIES, LIKE H.A.M.L.E.T.(4), TO PROTECT THE FAMILIES OF HEROES SO THEY CAN'T BE USED AGAINST THEM! WHY ARE YOU SO INSISTENT THAT I CAN'T BE A HERO JUST BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A QUIRK!?"
"I'M NOT SAYING YOU CAN'T BE A HERO, I'VE NEVER SAID YOU CAN'T BE A HERO! ALL I HAVE EVER SAID WAS THAT IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR YOU TO BE AN INDIRECT HERO! HEROES CAN'T DO EVERYTHING ON THEIR OWN, EVEN WITH THEIR POWERS, THAT'S WHY SUPPORT ENGINEERS EXIST! HELL, UNCLE-MIGHT EVEN NEEDS PAPA'S HELP!"
"BUT YOU KNOW THAT ISN'T THE KIND OF HERO I WANT OF BE!"
"WHY NOT, WHAT'S WRONG WITH BEING A SUPPORT ENGINEER!?"
"NOTHING'S WRONG WITH IT…"
"THEY WHY WON'T YOU EVEN CONSIDER IT!?"
"YOU KNOW WHY, YOU KNOW MY DREAM IS TO BE A HERO THAT FIGHTS, NOT ONE THAT HELPS OTHER FIGHT! AND THAT WASN'T ALWAYS YOUR DREAM EITHER!"
"Don't go there, Izuku. Don't. You. DARE. Go. There." Melissa growled as her volume dropped dangerously low, however, Izuku was too furious to notice or care.
"WHY NOT, YOU GO THERE ALL THE FUCKING TIME, YOU KNOW I DON'T LIKE IT WHEN YOU TRY TO TALK ME OUT OF BEING A HERO, I GET ENOUGH OF THAT FROM EVERYONE ELSE ON THE DAMN PLANET THE MOMENT THEY FIND OUT I'M QUIRKLESS! YET THE MOMENT SOMEONE BRINGS UP ANY TIME THAT YOU QUIT (5), YOU CAN'T TAKE IT!"
'I wish I never met you," Melissa hissed before instantly cutting the video call that she had transferred from the monitors in the recording studio to Izuku's personal computer in his room.
No sooner had Melissa ended the call then, in his fury, Izuku had not only grabbed and thrown his laptop into a wall, causing it to shatter with the strength he had used to do so, but he had also grabbed his desk chair and hurled it out his window. Thankfully, before he could do any more damage to his room or belongings, Izuku had a sliver of clarity admits his storm of emotions. Causing him to throw on his shoes and grab his jacket, unknowingly giving his spying mother to hide around the corner before he threw open his door, with the doorknob putting a hole in his wall thanks to Izuku's rapidly fading moment of rationality and him being unaware that the door had already been cracked open.
Having just arrived at the home of their friend and her son, who were both seen by the husband and wife duo as family, in all but blood, Masaru and Mitsuki had just started to climb the steps to reach the door to the Midoriya home when the sound of breaking glass filled the air. This was quickly followed by the sound of something hitting the ground hard and breaking. Prompting both to look and see Izuku's limited edition All-Might themed desk chair. Upon seeing the broken piece of furniture, both husband and wife started running to the door of their friend's home, as both started cursing the fact that the said home was on the top floor, both internally and externally perspectively.
However, when they reached the door, it was violently thrown open with Izuku furiously shoving past them. Normally someone doing such an act to Mitsuki would have her, at the very least, making a scene. If that person was someone she knew, they could expect to be smacked upside the head several times throughout the duration of her berating them. Yet Izuku was the exception to this fact of life, as he was the sweet, courteous, non-confrontational, well-mannered son of her sister in all but blood. He was Mitsuki's shining example of what she felt a son should behave like, so to see him act like her hellion of a child had sent her into a state of shock.
"Check on Inko, I'll go after Izuku," Masaru told his wife, shaking her out of her state of shock upon coming out of his own.
And he would later find that he had made the right call when Mitsuki told him of how she found Inko sobbing with an expression of absolute terror, due to her having flashbacks to her childhood.
When Masaru had caught up with Izuku, his years of being involved with Mitsuki and being the peacemaker between her and their son had proven to be an invaluable experience for him. As he was able to easily tell that Izuku was not in a state of mind to be approached. He also learned just why Inko was so scared of Izuku becoming like her father, and judging by how Izuku was destroying pieces of the trash heaps littering Dagobah Beach, Inko had every right to be fearful.
Masaru didn't know much about the father of Inko, as he wasn't one that she liked talking about, and Mitsuki always refused to tell him beyond stating the man was a monster. If he would try and push the subject, she would shut him down by saying that it wasn't her place to tell him about the man and what he had done to Inko and her sister. Of which, was a past that Mitsuki only knew about due to having been childhood friends with Inko and her sister, as well as the one to help them escape from being under his thumb.
However, after watching Izuku's unprecedented freakout, Masaru was finding himself not wanting to know any more. Especially after watching Izuku hosting a discarded fridge above his head and pitching it into another trash heap, in a surprising feat of strength. One that Masaru would have never expected the boy to be capable of, let alone the fridge causing a small crater upon impacting the trash heap. Though it was quickly covered cascading trash, it also marked both the peak and end of Izuku's destructive venting as well as the shift in which emotions he was dominating his mind. As Izuku promptly dropped onto his knees and elbows while he cradled his head in his hands followed all but instantly by hin beginning to sob.
Seeing his opening, Masaru moved to the upset teen and pulled him into a hug, while dropping to his knees. Izuku had initially gone rigid at the contact but had quickly clutched on to the man that was his uncle in all but blood and sobbed into his shirt upon hearing his words of comfort.
Masaru knew Izuku's father, for all intents and purposes, could only talk to him via phone call, and even that was a rarity with how busy the man was. So he had done his best to be a second father for the boy, it was a fact that pissed his own son off to high heaven, but his son needed to grow up and it wasn't like he was trying to replace his own son. He had. and still was, attempted on numerous occasions to help his son through his own problems, but was always shut out no matter what approach he took.
After Izuku had calmed down, the two separated and simply stared out at the moonlit waters. Finally, after giving Izuku a bit of time to arrange his thoughts, Masaru broke the silence between them.
"So, do you want to talk about it,"
And just like that, the Izuku poured out his problems to the man. Allowing him to quickly come to understand the situation as well as what advice to give the boy.
"You both had your emotions running high, and that caused you to say things you didn't actually mean. It's always those closest to us that know how to hurt us the most, especially when emotions are running high. Give her a week or two to calm down and try calling her, if she calls you before then, and you're still not ready to talk, ask her to give you some more time, but specify the amount. Leaving the time window open can, and often does do more harm then talking before your ready." Masaru advised the teen beside him. "Oh, and Izuku,"
"Ya,"
"Get used to being wrong, it will make your future with girls a lot easier," Masaru added, causing the teen to turn into a stuttering mess as he did an impression of a tomato. 'Ah, young love, I hope you know what your doing Inko,'
Flashback End
"Well, What do you think, I was right, wasn't I," Melissa asked, in turn, Pulling Izuku's attention to her.
Only for the boy to gulp upon laying his eyes on her. As she was slightly turned away from him, pitched forward ever so slightly, and looking up to him expectantly with a knowing grin.
'Dear God, does this woman not even realize what she does to me? No, there's no way in hell she doesn't know, she's way too smart not to know. This is all part of her plan, but how? AH, DAMMIT, WHY CAN'T I EVER FIGURE THIS WOMAN OUT!?' Izuku thought to himself as a slight blush covered his face, which he could swear made Melissa's smile grow, but numbly nodded his head none the less.
"Great, come on, there's a place I really want to show you, but we have to hurry" Melissa happily said as she stood upright and clapped her hands together in front of her chest before grabbing Izuku's hand to practically drag him from the establishment.
"M… M… Melissa, wait, what about paying," A flustered Izuku forced out.
"Oh, don't worry about that, they'll just put it on my tab." Melissa waved off Izuku's concern, in turn, drawing a resigned sigh from the boy as they continued toward their destination.
"There you two are," a male voice called out to them, making Melissa freeze in place.
That's it for this time, hope you enjoyed and please remember to leave a review.
(1) MHA opening for season 3 from the 39th second to the 41 second for a visual reference of how Izuku's hair was
(2) When Izuku and Katsuki are charging at each other with their quirks during their one on one in training ground beta for a visual reference of how Izuku charged out of the tunnel
(3) In the movies, Hawkeye does have a secret family, in the comics he doesn't, as far as I know. In this story, I have it so most Heroes keep the families under wraps so most think it's impossible for Heroes to have families.
(4) H.A.M.L.E.T. is an acronym of a government agency that will be revealed later on. I was inspired with this idea when reading a Froppy x Deku fanfic, though the name escapes me at the moment. The acronym means Hero Assitance, Management, Location, and Elimination Taskforce. I will cover how it functions in future chapters.
(5) This has to due with a bit of character Development that have planed for Melissa's character, later on, so keep this in mind.
Please remember to Review.
