There is a trickster about on the expedition to Atlantis, who could it be?

I own nothing but the story.

Dr. Joshua Sweet was on a mission, He was searching for something on the ship Embargo, the ironically named ship carrying the expedition to find Atlantis. During this search he was completing the last group of medical checkups of the crew and he had just a few remaining.

Now what was this that the good doctor was looking for? He was looking for mischief. It was a pastime that he had picked during the many long journeys that tended to bore him while in the employ of corporations and businesses of the past with Whitmore Industries being no exception.

The thing that set him apart from most tricksters is that he had a far subtler approach than most would imagine. This assumption of his innocence by how he acted around others coupled with his public role as the friendly but no-nonsense doctor, no one thought twice. The payoff from seeing people getting tricked and confused was good fun for him.

This why he had just taken a detour earlier at the beginning of the day to where the expedition vehicles were being held prior to loading on the Ulysses. He was looking for his next opportunity and after a short survey of the hold he saw it. There was a sign above with quickly pasted on letters that read Motor Pool, they hung over the doorway into the enclosure with the bucket of paste and ladder used to place them there still next to them. Looking around he saw no one near so he simply climbed the ladder, grabbed the "L", got down, then went on his way, the letter tucked away at the bottom of his medical bag.

After that he went about his day finishing his checkups. It was nothing too exciting, there was one bad case of the flu he saw so he had to send that mercenary away. The man- after a lot of arguing- finally conceded the point of him being a risk to infect everyone on the trip. He packed up and headed to the extra quarters on the Embargo.

He had just finished with his latest checkups for the bridge crew and passed by the communications section of the ship, the section that Mrs. Packard was responsible for. She oversaw the communications among the different departments for the trip as well as the public address system. She must have stepped out for an errand because she was not there.

Dr. Sweet had made a personal goal to try to get her to show some sort of emotion ever since the Iceland trip and with her work unattended he saw his chance. He quickly sat at her desk and thought of things to do. He didn't have to wonder too long for his answer was right in front of him.

She had just finished typing the address to the crew after the sub was to launch. He quickly looked through the address and saw a quick and easy change near the end on the last page regarding the dinner menu of baked beans for the evening.

Finishing with a smile on his face Sweet stood up and walked on to the rest of his appointments. He hadn't had this much fun since he convinced Cookie that the Dakota can smell fear.

I am starting a full length story for Atlantis the Lost Empire so I might not be back for a while, maybe I'll do a single chapter story occasionally, I don't know. What I do know is that I'll be back

Let me know how I did, it is always fun hearing from you guys.
