"Ruby Rose..." The speaker, an aged man in green, paused as he leaned in to get a better view. "You... have silver eyes."
"Um, uh, yeah and?" Asked a confused Ruby.
"Do you know who I am?" The man asked, brushing off Ruby's question.
"The headmaster of Beacon Academy, Professor Ozpin." Ruby answered.
"Correct." The man, Ozpin, smiled. "And to answer your question, Miss Rose, I was simply surprised by how much you resemble Summer."
Ruby smiled, it was a complicated smile, but a happy one at the very least. "Thanks."
Ozpin sat down across from Ruby. "I reviewed the footage and checked your records, but I have to say, I'm amazed at your skill with one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed."
Ruby flushed in embarrassment at getting praise from a huntsmen. "Thanks, but I couldn't have done it without my uncle's help, he's a teacher at Signal. I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing."
"I see, Qrow was quite the student, I'm glad to see him pass on his knowledge." Ozpin said. "But, If I may ask Miss Rose, what are your reasons for learning such skills?"
And, like something was sparked in Ruby, she jumped out of her chair and spoke with conviction. "I want to be a Huntress. I want to help people and save lives. I want people to take one look at me and feel safe, because they know I'll save them. But I can't help people if I was weak, I want to be strong enough to protect the things I love, and I love peace. I love seeing other people happy. I love the warmth I feel when I see a happy family, I love the protection the Kingdom gives its citizens. In order to protect all that I love and cherish, in order to drive away the forces that threaten humanity. I need to become a beacon of hope for the hopeless to turn to. I need to be strong for the weak. Those are my reasons, that's why I want to, need to, become a Huntress!"
After a few seconds of silence, Ozpin smiled. "Ruby Rose, would you like to come to my school?"
