"[Arc 1: The Great War: Chapter 1: Prologue]"

In an endless void, where time and space did not make any sense. There was a man floating without moving, as if he were a statue. His hair was white, his skin had a grayish hue, a kind of ribbon appeared on his head with a kind of horns, his arms and legs were black, besides wearing a tunic that seems to be made of Chakra which has a large amount of magatamas in the chest, sleeves and nine in the back, under a picture of the Rinnegan with two lines at his side.

A drop of water splashing down in a singular lasting drip is heard by one, and one alone. In a void of absolute darkness, the legendary shinobi Madara Uchiha awakens, his eyes snapping open in a panic and his breath turning into large desperate gasps.

He quickly turns his focus inwards and away from the deep primal nightmares that had snapped him from his sleep to steady the rhythmic pounding of his heart and the throbbing of his mind. In rapid succession he glances around, unable to tell if he's lost his sight or if this place is void of light.

For whatever reason it may be, it still didn't change the fact that unyielding darkness surrounds him, not giving token to any light. He remains laid out, on a bed of sorts – although he couldn't know for sure – feeling his breath, his heartbeat, and even the blood flowing through his veins, he manages to calm himself down for valuable thought to begin to churn.

In a more relaxed state, the silence sinks in. It's peaceful, why that's the case, eludes him. It's a strange sensation, this faultless silence. He's calmed by its embrace like he's experienced a lifetime of conflict, however, simply being calm doesn't describe it, it's something deeper and more substantial.

He doesn't remember anything though, and that very notion causes him to wonder why. Moments pass like sand in an hourglass before he looks up and glances around again with vague hopes his vision acclimated in that time. It's to no avail, he can't see even a lick of detail.

This is especially strange as normally the Rinnegan's visual prowess allows the user to see no matter the situation, regardless of light. Far from the Rinnegan limits, however.

If a true owner is in possession of the Rinnegan, they would soon learn to even see into other realities and dimensions, places one could never hope to reach. This very fact is also the reason – out of the very few Rinnegan to exist – those in possession of their original eye will hold a special ability.

Truly out of all these special abilities, Madara's alone stands at the top. The limbo clones, invisible beings that exist in a parallel universe, unkillable, completely immune to physical touch and damage, but able to interact with this universe at will, not only that, they also take on Madara's physical resistances and traits and can use all of his abilities.

They are capable of much more than that when creativity is involved, but more importantly, they are unlike the lesser clones that most jutsu produce, these are different, they reflect the chakra of the original. In addition, when these clones sink up with the original body, they regain their chakra and nullify any physical damage taken.

This ability is so powerful that Madara - if he currently remembered any of this - would testify to the self-handicaps placed upon himself. Never abuse the many powers he possesses, lest he grows overreliant on his unbeatable power.

"What happened?"

He tries to think back. A tear makes it's way down his cheek and again his thoughts try to linger to why, yet, he can't recall.

He searches the innermost parts of his mind for an answer to this predicament and it felt like it was just out of sight, there has to be something. It proves pointless, there's nothing. He's unable to remember anything, not his name, not how he got here, just the feeling of emptiness that remains in an empty husk with no reason to exist.

But then as all hope of remembering seems lost, a throbbing pain abruptly enters his mind. Not dissimilar to a wave, memories flow back into their tortured owner. His face contorts into one of sheer agast, his mouth slightly parted and his eyes not wide open but filled with emotion and shock.

"That's right, I lost.

He affirms in utter devastation as he closes all three of his eyes shut.

He remembers everything and now he wishes he stayed ignorant: his time with Hashirama during the warring states period, creating the Hidden Leaf village, leaving the aforementioned village, manipulating and starting the Fourth Great Shinobi War from the shadows, and even the bitter end with Black Zetsu, all of it.

It's true, he has lost everything. Mere moments ago at the pinnacle of his power, having just accomplished his long sought-after dream of launching the [Infinite Tsukuyomi] to bring true peace to the world, he suffered a devastating and unseen betrayal at the hands of someone who he thought to be his very own will incarnate, but no, it all turned out to be a lie.

Black Zetsu was not his will – not in the slightest – but one belonging to that of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, and the Infinite Tsukuyomi was a farce hiding it's true intentions behind the ideal that he strived so desperately to make a reality.

Even if he wanted to scream the unfairity of this atrocious betrayal to the heavens, it would make no difference, it's simply another ruthless practicality of his reality. Why would anything be treated differently than the back-stab that pierced through him in ruthless fashion?

In the end – unbeknownst to him – Kaguya was almost revived, but... He was Madara Uchiha!

He was not going to be controlled by anyone! Channeling his own energy, he separated his energy from his enemy, stopping that strange process of control... But something fails product to that.

The energy that began to absorb without the control of Black Zetsu was very intense, without control, so Madara absorbed absolutely all the Chakra of the people who were trapped in the Tsuyokomi, including that of those brats because it was as if it had activated the Preta Path, but on a larger scale.

Before all the energy burst within him, he regained control at the last second and left the world to end up here, where he could have all the time he needed to get used to his new power without the fear of exploding.

He was very sure that the elemental nations were fine, but with the difference that it had no longer Chakra. He had involuntarily absorbed all the existing Chakra, leaving a world with normal human beings.

He even knows that now his [God: Nativity Of World Of Trees!] had disappeared because without Chakra to absorb or the provisioning of Chakra he could not keep up, even the illusion... So it was a victory for him.

He had an eternity to think about everything that had happened. He was sure that even without Chakra, people would start wars anyway, they always find a new way to kill each other, that was for sure... But why had he so desperately sought an outlet for so much chaos?

He does not remember it, he does not know from what point all the hatred had clouded his judgment and embark him in this meaningless search for a solution. Since he was here, something was expelled from him...

Being more accurate the moment he separated Black Zetsu from himself, somehow it was as if a blindfold fell from his eyes seeing everything completely different... Well not so different but a little best.

Wandering in the place, he felt a strange presence, to be exact there were two, but one disappeared suddenly, it was very strange but his exit indicated where he should go.

Moving after a few long years, he realized that he was still with all his skills before falling here, he had even strengthened at gigantic scales. Admiring his power, he would leave that moment for later. He must reach that crack that would be his exit from this place.

Floating at high speed, he saw for a second a large Red Dragon flying over the place that saw him a little surprised because apparently there were not many visitors for this place. Ignoring the giant Dragon, he found the crack, which was now closed. He was angry, he had missed his chance.

Examining that crack a little better, he found that maybe it could still be opened if forced. However, he also noticed that the crack began to close slowly, there was no time to lose.

Concentrating Chakra into the hidden eye on his forehead and using only one hand to make a seal, he used a power he did not have time to explore and was still a novice, but it would be enough to break that crack.

"WHO ARE YOU?!"

It was what Madara heard followed by a roar. Partially turning the view, he noticed that on his right was that huge dragon that he had seen a few moments ago, it seems that he had followed him.

"Whoever i am is not of your concern, Lizard.

Madara said returning his concentration to the crack that was beginning to open once again due to the power of his Rinne-Sharingan.

"As you dare! I am Great Red! The most powerful Dragon among all!"

He roared causing the dimension to shake by his power.

"Oh, that's good for you, now so long." Madara said again, ignoring the dragon that was furious every moment.

"Insolent human!"

The most powerful Dragon among all roared for seconds after attacking with a great burst of power out of his mouth towards Madara who did not move a hair, who was consumed by the beam. "That will teach you ha-" He cut what he was saying when he notice what was really happening.

Madara only raised an eyebrow, paying attention to the crack. He had blocked the energy pillar with one hand. The Petra Path was slowly absorbing the whole attack until there was nothing left.

"This energy... It's very strange... It's not Chakra but it's very familiar." He said as he felt like the Petra Path converted that foreign energy into Chakra.

The dragon was very surprised at the ease with which his adversary had stopped one of his most powerful attacks. He was going to ask when he saw that the crack had finally been broken and before him there was a portal to an unknown world.

"Excellent, finally free!" Madara said before freezing for a moment and then smiling sadistically. "Today again Madara Uchiha will have another world where to cause chaos and fear with his name only." As he was laughing like a madman he crossed the portal that closed behind his back.

"Wait!"

It was the scream he heard from the Dragon as he left that strange place.

Meanwhile Great Red only saw how the strange man had left the Dimensional Gap and could not feel worried. He could feel his power and it was huge for someone who was hiding himself very well, he almost looked like an ordinary human. However, the truth was another, this "Human" was extremely strong, even stronger than him.

The idea of someone being able to be in this place for a huge time without ending up being erased or disintegrated was just one more proof of their own power. Great Red knew only one thing...

...Those on the other side were...

...Fucked up.
