"Pop? Daddy?"

Those were the two words spoken by Bobby "Bob" Lagomorph to wake up his two dads, Sam and Max. The couple was extremely tired, but since it was their son, they had to answer him.

"Yes, little buddy? Is everything alright?" Sam asked Bob.

"You better not have eaten more of my sandwiches! I need those for work!" Max said.

"Oh please, the food at work isn't that bad. You just hate them because they're not "fun'." Sam replied.

"Oh, really?" said an annoyed Max.

"Pop! Daddy!" Bob said, reminding the two that he was still there.

"Oops! Sorry, little buddy! Go on ahead." Sam said to Bob.

"Alright. Um... This is weird, but do you two ever get called midgets?" Bob asked.

Within 5 seconds, Max lost his mind and started laughing uncontrollably. Sam just stood there surprised at such a weird question.

"Daddy it isn't funny!" Bob said to Max.

"Why? Why would anyone think I'm a midget? For God's sake, I'm a lagomorph, but I'm not short!" Max said to his young son.

At this point, Bobby was scared to tell his parents about what was going on, not because of Max's behavior, but because he was simply nervous.

"Never mind." Bob said. "I'll go back to sleep."

"Okay kiddo, I'll stop laughing. Now tell us what's on your mind now? We promise we'll listen!" Max promised.

"No really. It's okay." Bob replied.

"Let me handle this Max." Sam said. "Please tell us what's going on Bobby."

"No, it's fine." Bobby replied.

"Bobby. Please."

"No really pop. It's okay!"

"Bobby Lagomorph! Don't talk back to me! Just tell me and daddy what's going on."

"Okay pop." Bobby took a deep breath, then said: "The kids at school say I'm stupid for being short. So some of them don't want to be my friends."

Sam and Max looked at each other in shock. Then Sam brought Bobby up on the bed, then said: "It's not easy being bullied, is it?". Bobby nodded. He let a tear run down his cheek.

Then Max spoke up. "It's okay! We'll put those bullies through many difficult obstacle courses until they apologize to you. It'll be great!" Sam give a surprised look, then said to Max: "That sounds too extreme Max. Let's not do that." Max gave a disappointed look.

"How can I make the kids stop being mean to me?" Bobby said now officially crying. Sam and Max looked at each other. Then Sam spoke up: "We'll talk to your teacher about that. But for now, don't let those kids get you down. Because believe in yourself and you'll see that the real hero inside is you!" Bobby gave a smile.

"Now repeat after me," Sam said, "Who's the hero inside?"

"Me." Bobby said.

"I can't hear you! I said, who's the real hero inside?"

"Me!" Bobby replied.

"That's my boy."

"I love you pop and daddy!" Bobby said.

"Awww! We love you too!" Sam and Max said happily.

After an emotional family hug, the couple put their son to sleep, followed with a good night kiss.
