The hall of faculty prep had become a deadly silent, vacant of students to produce any sound due to the synchronized testing, be it written or practical. It didn't matter. Nothing but silence filled these halls.

But before long that silence was broken by a heavy thud. That of a body being slammed into the wall with a ferocity. The ironclad grip of Pepper's powersuit pinning him while he grunted out.

"What is wrong with you?!" The businesswoman wasted afraid to raise her voice from inside her armor, leaning in closer with a glare that rivaled her own arc reactor charge. "Do you have any idea what you almost did?!"

"I...I pushed them past their limits..." Quentin choked out while staring her right back, grabbing onto her forearm with a single hand. "Trust me, it was better you all find them now..."

"You put those two in unnecessary, unwarranted danger...You don't get to tell me to trust you." She spat back, raising her free hand with an open palm.

All it got was a tilt of the head and a soft mumbled from the Magician. "Well yeah, that one's fair, I wouldn't listen to someone who tried to hurt my friends or...family either. But, if you don't trust me, talk to Wanda...She'd know whether or not I'm telling the truth..."

For a moment he didn't get a reply. Only a deadly glare through the lit blue lenses of her helmet piercing through his soul.

"She can read my memories. She'll know if I'm lying or not. Even the weakest version of her can do that..."

"If you're lying, I swear-"

"I'm not trying to hurt either of them! It'd be more of a detriment to myself than anything else..." Quentin smiled, almost awkwardly to a point. It was a family thing. "I just want to help them. This will help them. It'll save them, I know it..."

Hearing that, the armored Avenger loosened her grip around his throat some, before letting go completely. Not letting her gaze off him for a moment as she spoke. "We're done here."

Slowly the hazel haired magician stepped forward, rubbing his neck softly as well as rearranging his black suit and tie. "Good...Peter should be heading to Recovery Girl. He's...Probably gonna be jumpy."

"Uh huh..." Was all she said in response, turning and walking off down the hall without another word.

And then the two were snapped back to reality.

The orangette's eyes fluttered open some as she swiftly regained her real senses. Her hand firm around Wanda's while she held Quentin's, both their eyes fluttering all the same. The three had sat down at the table in the back of the prep room, with Steve standing over them in case something were to happen. Thankfully that didn't seem to be the case.

"What happened in there?" The captain questioned, arms crossed as he looked down at the businesswoman and witch, the latter letting go of both teammates' hands to rest her head between her own.

"Oh that hurt...I can handle playing with a bunch of minds at once but letting them talk directly is a stretch..." She whined some, attempting to get past the throbbing of her own head at the strain.

"You see what I mean by weakest?" Beck quipped, shaking his own head not long after. "But...She's way ahead of the mind games thing than me so..."

"Steve, Wanda, stay here while I go have a talk with Toshinori next." Pepper spoke almost coldly, pinning her hands on the table to getting up from her seat.

"Well, I mean it wasn't his fault, was it?" The Witch attempted to interject with a small nervous grin. All of which fell upon deaf ears as she turned and headed for the door.

"I don't think it matters, he still nearly crippled one of our kids!" She called back, as she slid the door in front of her to the side, only for her look of frustration to melt away at the sight of who was in front of her.

"A-Aizawa!" She blurted out wide eyed. If there was one person in this reality that left her unsettled, it was him. "Y-You're back from your exam already?! That was fast!" She grinned nervously while turning her gaze away.

"I wouldn't consider fifteen minutes quick." He deadpanned. Though to the Quirkless woman's confusion.

The normal brain processes thousands of times faster than one consciously perceives to keep up with millions of tiny details it absorbs, so it would stand to reason that two minds speaking directly to one another would only take seconds to relay information.

Unfortunately this did not take place, and instead only lasted minutes!

"Huh..."

"Beck, you're up." Aizawa called out to the back of the room while he stepped past Pepper, as nonchalant as ever.

And his words were heard. Leaning his head to the side until an audible crack was heard, he stood from his chair and made his way to the door. "Okay then. Wish me luck?" He turned to Aizawa with soft grin, raising a brow.

"Don't get carried away with those two." Was all the Not-so-well-known hero said in response, heading to one of the tables in the room to take a seat. "They're strong, but they're still students."

"And one of them is prone to breaking bones!" Wanda called out from the back. "It would be great if you didn't...help with that..."

To that, the magician gave a simple thumbs up. "You have my word. I won't lay a finger on them."

Most of the tests for Class 1-A had gone on without a hitch after Peter and Gwen's battle with All Might. About an hour, if anyone was keeping up, which no one in Class 1-A was. Especially not Izuku Midoriya, who sat against a pillar tapping his chin near rapidly in thought.

It was quite surreal for him. Even if he knew he wasn't going all out, seeing Peter get back up again and again was a testament to his endurance. And it explained how he got up from 'Falling from a plane' into hard cement. Still, he had to wonder: Was Peter hiding his strength? Or did he not know about it? What else could he be hiding? What was going on?

"Hey Deku..." A familiar voice filled his ear, snapping out of his thoughtful trance to look up at who it was. Ochako with a soft smile lining her face. And beside her-

"A-A-Aoyama! Y-Y-Your-Your-" He sputtered out of control seeing the Frenchman beside her, in primarily shock.

During his and Uraraka's exam the two found themselves backed against the wall by Captain America, and in a moment of error she accidentally dropped him.

Face first on the cold hard floor. Which explained the massive golfball sized bruise on his forehead, that even Gwen could see from afar by the wall on a bench and over a trashcan.

"Christ! You could hit a bullseye from a mile away without a scope with that thing!" She called out in fact, before swiftly puking up blood from her previously ruptured organs.

"Oui, it was from a moment of weakness, I agree." Yuga declared, lifting a hand and running his fingers through his hair. "But that's what I expect from someone with so much room to grow~ Isn't that right, Uraraka?~"

Hearing that the Gravity-Quirk user perked up some. "I mean...Captain America can be very intimidating up close..." She looked away, twirling her fingers some in embarrassment of her mistake. "I guess we're lucky to pass against him..."

"Wait hold on!" Everyone turned their attention to the pink skinned young student, stepping to the small group with her costume dirtied and her face covered by ash, thanks to her own exam with Kaminari against Rescue. Which ended better than most expected. "You beat Captain America? The Captain America?!" She questioned, leaning in a bit closer tow her fellow heroine.

"Uh..." For a moment that was all the brunette could say while she scratched the back of her head, looking away with a nervous grin. "I'm not sure about 'beat'..."

"Oh! So you two completed your objective too, huh?" Denki chimed in while sliding in.

"Exactamente! Thanks to moi~" Aoyama declared, full of pride.

Ironically it was his partner that won them the match, as her Zero Gravity Quirk was what got him away from Rogers' reach and kept him a fine distance away. Long enough for the sparkling hero to complete the goal that was to bring the satellite array back online. Which moments later sent him falling face first on the ground.

"It was a team effort..." Ochako gave a thumbs up.

"Sounds like team carrying to me!" Gwen called out from across the room. Which was impressive, seeing as the group of five was relatively quiet among themselves.

"The hell are you talking about?!" Bakugo sneered beside his fellow blonde while she began to cough blood into the bin once again. All she could do was chuckle softly.

"Right...You're probably hard-of-hearing from all that overcompensating." Gwen spoke softly to herself. "It'd be cute if it wasn't alarming."

"THE HELL'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!"

To that the female arachnid turned to look up at the ticking time bomb who's face was now inches from hers. All she did was gently pat his cheek with an unchanged monotonous look. "That you should take anger management classes."

"WHY YOU!-" Bakugo started, before swiftly being cut off by Gwen's webbing splattering over his lips to muffle his words.

"Like I said, cute but alarming." She declared while resting her head in her hands.

"Hm. Quite the predicament." Todoroki spoke once he and his exam partner Yaoyorozu rounded the corner to the massive lobby, there first sight being one of the top of their class trying to pull webbing off his face while simultaneously cursing under it.

Of course they had just gotten back from their own exam against Shota Aizawa. It was somewhat similar to Peter and Gwen's being a hostage situation, albeit more suburban and with far less risk of one of them dying. But otherwise the same. And opposite of their foreign representatives they were able to capture the villain.

Caught up in the conversations of what had happened in all their exams, Midoriya spotted the two out the corner of his eye, and shifted his full attention to the two as he raised an arm. "Yaoyorozu! Todoroki!" He called out, getting both their attention.

"Ah, so he's still waiting for his exam..." The half-red-half-white haired young man spoke softly, giving a soft wave back while his partner took a quick glance around the massive room. No sign of the webhead anywhere.

"Were his injuries truly that severe?..." She wondered to herself, the anxiety of her previous trial making way for concern of her fellow student.

"You two did spectacular!" The green suited young man nodded as he stepped closer.

"Yeah, who knew you two made such an effective team?" Denki spoke snidely.

Hearing such compliments the rich young woman cleared her throat some, settling her mind back to the here and now. "Thank you, all of you. But has anyone heard anything about Parker?" She questioned as formally as possible.

"You...know you can call him Peter, Yaoyorozu..." The walking battery chuckled softly, while his exam partner chimed in.

"He should still be with Recovery Girl." Mina spoke softly. Though with a wide grin, as if nothing was wrong. "But if I know him, he's sure to bounce right back! He's Spidey after all."

"You've only known him for a week!" Gwen called out once more.

Cue a soft pout from Mina as she looked back at her, green flowing to her cheeks as she struggled for a retort. "Yeah, but..."

"Comic books don't count!"

As the group bickered amongst themselves the Vice Representative lowered her head. What was it that she couldn't shake? It was anxiety, something she suffered from before her exam. But it was over now. So what was it? Peter? He was in Recovery Girl's hands, and she healed him the first time when his injuries were so much more severe. Still...

"Will...Team J please report to their designated exam room?" Their foreign teacher Wanda's voice aired over the intercom of the room. "I repeat, Team J, your exam is about to begin."

Hearing that Izuku immediately perked up. That was him and Bakugo.

Him and...

"Finally! I was getting bored sitting on my ass..." The short tempered blonde smirked to himself, stepping away from Gwen with a malicious grin. "DEKU! YOU BETTER NOT GET IN THE WAY YOU FUCKIN' NERD!"

"R-R-R-Right, of course whatever you say Kacchan!" Midoriya blurted out in an instance of instinctive terror, jumping back some as he walked by. Everyone else cleared the way for him.

"Jeez, what did he ever do to him..." Gwen mumbled to herself in a moment of thought, before letting out a sigh. "Hey Katsuki!"

Hearing his foreign student's voice he halted in his tracks, swinging around ti face her with a sneer. "What is it, blondie?!" He growled, only for his eyes to widen.

"Bring hellfire on them, Kacchan~" She spoke playfully, blowing a kiss in the process as she did. It was meant to fluster, possibly antagonize the young man. And it did just that.

"YOU DON'T GET TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO BROKEN BONES!" Bakugo roared with ferocity as he showed his back to her, stomping off to the halls. "MOVE YOUR ASS GODDAMMIT, DEKU!"

"R-Right of course whatever you say Kacchan!" Midoriya repeated with a stammer. The poor boy was frightened out of his mind.

"This would be funny if it wasn't sad..." Gwen sighed, her monotone tone returning as she got up from the bench she sat on with unstable footing. An expectant result of puking out all the excess blood in her body. "But with that, I'm off..."

Hearing that Denki turned his attention to the arachnid, raising a brow. "Where are you going? And now of all times?"

"I figure by now the old lady got Peter under wraps, so I'm gonna see him." She declared while looking over her shoulder at the walking battery. "And then I'm gonna fall asleep. Probably."

To that Momo gave a soft nod of consideration. Perhaps that would put her at ease. "Gwen, you wouldn't mind if I accompanied you as well, would you?"

The female webster just gave a shrug. "Do whatever you want, Vice President. No skin off my back." She responded offhandedly. Before stopping just as she took a step and turning back around. "On one condition, buy the both of us lunch. He's really gonna need it after that beating."

"Of course." She nodded softly, giving a soft smile in response. "It's the least I could do."

"But we see Peter first." Gwen reinforced, to which she got a nod. "Alright, c'mon."

And with that, the two young heroines were off, leaving the rest to their devices.

"Tell him he did great!" Midoriya called out while running into the hall to catch up with his partner.

The Prefecture once again was in an uproar. Between the nearly half dozen incidents in Hosu alone, along with the crime scenes supposedly related to the League of Villains, the public had slowly become anxious. And journalists were persistent to connect any dots in the story. And most roads lead to this scene, at a warehouse in Musutafa, owned privately by the Yakuza.

While within many worlds and realities the Yakuza were a force to be reckoned with. Yet here they were second-to-nothing with the many heroes swarming the planet. In fact in some instances the Yakuza were like a tertiary law enforcement for underground crime. But here they were seemingly the victims.

Most if not all Japanese news outlets had someone on the scene, crowded like ducks at the front door, which were quaraned off by Hosu police. No one but designated personnel would be let through.

But that didn't stop the subtle gust of wind on such a unblown day.

Unseen to the untrained eye the blonde and silver haired young agent had slipped through the crowd, past the officers keeping guard and through the half open lift-in door. Though her execution was admittedly sloppy, seeing as Scott's forehead slammed into the sheet metal.

Letting go of the two Quirkless heroes Antman and Wasp Motto slowed herself, and in the process tripped forward in an attempt to keep her footing as she flailed wildly. Obviously she hadn't had much practice using her Quirk to stop on a dime.

The two bugs as well had a hard time keeping themselves upright, Hope stumbling some while covering her mouth out of instinct while Scot reeled in pain from his head hitting against sheet metal at high-speeds. Even with the helmet of his suit it was a bit much.

"Okay!...We are never doing that again..." Hope mumbled while shaking her head, bending over with her hands on her knees.

"Why didn't you just let us shrink down first?!" The former-criminal questioned desperately, his helmet peeling back while he groaned, clearly rattled.

And hearing such an alternative the newbie perked up some with embarrassment, looking over her shoulder with a nervous grin as she rubbed the back of her head. Why didn't she think of that?! "S-Sorry! Sometimes I don't think before I move...That's what everyone else says..."

"Sounds about right..." The Wasp huffed, adjusting the gray SHIELD blazer she wore over her suit while her helmet peeled back as well.

"Yohayai?" The three heard, and turned their attention to the source. The voice was gruff, but soft, belonging an older man, in his late thirties, with graying black hair receding heavily in a plain grey suit.

Detective Tanuma, of the Prefecture police. And one of the best, assigned to this mysterious case per Daisy Johnson's personal request.

"Tanuma Sir!" The rookie agent jumped in a fit of excitement, zipping forward in a blur dozens of feet to appear right in front of the older man in just under a second. Though no one seemed to be surprised.

Swiftly Motto wrapped her arms around him in as tight an embrace she could muster, which was just about average.

"Yeah I'm here..." The rigid officer let out a soft chuckle, giving her a light pat on the back.

"I'm guessing you know this guy?" Scott questioned, raising a brow much like his partner-in-crime.

Swiftly the speedster spun around to the two bugs, gronning wide, almost jittery. Evident by the sudden increase speed at which she spoke. "He was my mentor! Or technically he was! Unofficially that is, which was nice and all but it didn't last since I was only on the force a few months before SHIELD snatched m-" After a few seconds her words strung together into near gibberish, but was swiftly cut off by a gentle pat on the head and ruffle of her hair from the veteran detective.

"She's an eager little rookie if I ever saw one. A bit too much for her own good..." Tanuma let a low chuckle leave his lips, smiling wide at the two American heroes. "Hope you're treating her right."

"Yeah of course." The Wasp gave a soft nod, setting her hands on her hips. "We wouldn't be good heroes if we didn't take care of our partners, right?"

"Yup! And eh...Scott Lang's the name." The former-thief chimed in with an extended open hand to the detective, to which he took. "I'm Ant Man, actually. And this is my partner, the Wasp?" He gestured to the grown prodigy.

"That right?...You're the guy that flattened downtown! Saw it on the news, pretty steep fall if I ever saw one." Tanuma quipped while a sly grin. "How's the back?"

Hearing that Scott's smile ceased, and in its place was a grin of embarrassment. Of course even after a week he couldn't get over the fact he nearly squashed an entire city block. Luckily, and miraculously however, there were no fatalities nor that many injuries. Which turned what would have been a tragedy into a pain in his lower back.

And a low chuckle out of Hope, who looked a way to let out her breath of amusement at the recent memory.

"Alright, alright!" Motto chimed in between the three, nearly tripping over herself. Then turned to her mentor. "What did you find? Did you find anything? I think we're on a bit of a time crunch..."

It must have been an hour until the arachnid awoke for his near coma induced slumber, though luckily it was only to rest rather than for surgery, which was thankfully unneeded after initial examination by Recovery Girl. As close as it was, his rib shrapnel hadn't yet pierced any organs, so there wasn't any need to take anything out before she used her healing Quirk.

It didn't change the extensive beating he was made to recover from while lying in bed, covered in bandages to help aid the process. With a personal nurse to accompany him.

"Miss Kayami, I said I was fine. I can feed myself, at least..." Peter huffed softly. Not in annoyance, but more so soft determination. Ever since he woke up the R-Rated hero had been by his side. Even feeding him a bowl of rice so he didn't have to lift a finger. Even though the Nurse said there was no risk to it

"Maybe. But Recovery Girl's Quirk needs your stamina for it to do its job." Midnight declared with a stern tone, leaning closer to the young man. "You shouldn't use it up if you don't have to. Now eat up."

Hearing that the American let out a soft sigh while steering his eyes away to the window to be met with a view of U.A's campus. "I'm not a baby, you know..."

"Yet you're in a hospital bed for the fourth time since you came here." The bustful woman smiled softly.

If anyone else were to hear such a thing, they'd consider him a glass cannon for being strong enough to lift a car, but frail enough to end up in the Nurse's office and hospitals so many times in such a short time frame. But considering his falls mostly stemmed from surviving a fall very little could live through, it very much evened out. Especially with the most recent display of his resilience.

"Besides, I'm your teacher." She continued, leaning back into her chair to sit straight, digging her chopsticks into the bowl in her lap. "Foreign student or not, it's my duty to ensure your health and safety."

Hearing that Peter turned his attention back to his teacher, raising a brow before tilting his head with a soft smile. "Then why are you pandering me but not him?"

At his words Nemuri looked over her shoulder to the occupied bed behind her and beside her student's, where another young man laid, an arm wrapped in a cast and wrapped like a mummy in bandages as he laid stiff as a board.

This was Neito Monoma, an actual glass cannon who suffered a less brutal fate, yet somehow was left worse off than his bedmate. If Peter didn't care for the guy's wellbeing, he may have considered whatever happened during his exam payback for blasting him in the stomach.

"He's...less durable than you..." She spoke softly while turning back to the exchange student. "He needs more attention with Recovery Girl than you. Which was quite surprising, considering-"

Before the older woman could voice the rest of her thoughts a wild cane hit her side, causing her to wince and let out a soft groan.

"No thanks to you! Or All Might..." The old perpetrator Recovery Girl groaned, setting the tip of her cane back down on the floor while Peter and her teacher looked down. "The last thing he needed was to be thrown around like a ragdoll through four buildings..."

"Uh...Five, actually..." Peter chimed in bashfully. And lightheartedly at that, as if it wasn't somehow over the line.

"Oh Peter..." Nemuri shook her head. Not in dismay, truly she was proud of him more than anything.

"It astounds me how many students that oaf can put into a hospital bed..." Recovery Girl groaned lowly to herself while the door to the room slid open.

"Who put who in a hospital bed?" Carol questioned while she and their fellow exchange student Kamala Khan walked inside. The latter holding a sealed tray of Nabe, with the side of onigiri. A random choice in cuisine, but neither of the two knew what the 1-B student sitting right there liked. Not that it mattered, his head was in a cast with a tube going down his throat. Which in itself, along with the Nurse's cane being swung dead in her direction, stopped the galactic hero in her tracks.

"And then there's you! Not even here a full day and you're already stirring up trouble for everyone else..." The sweet old lady grumbled, much to the blonde's dismay and prideful detriment.

"What?! What did I do?!" Carol questioned with a look of confusion looking down at the old times, who in turn pointed upwards to the 1-B student she put in that bed during his practical. "Oh...Right...Well he shouldn't have been such a jerk! I hate bullies..." Cue a cane to the shin causing her to wince in pain and regret.

"What are you, five?!" Recovery Girl spouted out. "You're a Hero, and more importantly a teacher. You're supposed to set an example!"

"Alright, I get it! I'm sorry!"

"Hm...What an interesting character..." Nemuri smiled softly while her and the bandaged young man in bed watched, partially in confusion as well as amusement. It wasn't everyday they'd see the well-mannered nurse go off like this. There were few people who could do such a thing.

"Yeah...She's new to the...teaching thing." Kamala chimed in, setting the tin of food down on one of the stands by Monoma's bed.

"We can tell..." Peter let out a soft stiffle of laughter, smiling softly as the all-powerful Space Goddess was berated by a frail old nurse. "That's your teacher?" His tone showed his obliviousness in the situation. Specifically with the fact he didn't know Kamala or Carol. Which Nemuru was quick to notice, much to the Pakistani young girl's dismay.

"W-What do you mean, Pete?! She's our teacher! Carol Danvers! Captain Marvel!"

Truth be told neither Midnight nor Recovery Girl would've just chalked their exchange to banter had Kamala not failed to keep her cool. And her significant other didn't help, only tilting his head in confusion for a moment before coming to the swift realization of what was going on. Second too late.

"Oh Peter, did you hit your head too hard during your exam?" The R-Rated hero spoke softly and with worry in her voice. "Miss Danvers is your teacher. English if I remember?..."

"He was thrown through four buildings and you're worried about brain damage?" Recovery Girl quipped while diverting her attention to the boy. "Although...It is quite concerning."

Almost in sync both Peter and Kamala gulped, the former giving a nervous grin while looking away, leaning forward while tapping his finger against the bed under him. "Captain Marvel! Right! Good old A-Aunt Carol!'

"Huh?" The blonde fighter turned her attention from her the pain of Recovery Girl's dynamite cane swing to the young man.

It was a blurt of the moment, and he instantly regretted it.

"Oh! Oh, thank goodness..." The raven haired older woman let out a soft sigh of relief. "Wait, Aunt? She's your Aunt?...I could see that actually." She mumbled that last sentence, cupping her chin in her hand.

"Aunt?...As in..." The female captain questioned with a raised brow. It took but a moment for her to process the lie strung in this growing web. "W-Wait a minu-"

"Yup! Pete's dear Aunt Carol!" Kamala chimed in, blurting out in a spur of the moment full of anxiety. "Really we're like one big family at Stark University!"

"You mean Stark Academy?..."

"Yeah! Of course! What did I say?!" It was exceedingly obvious to both Peter and Carol she did not do well with running along with a lie. Much to the detriment of the cause.

The intergalactic fighter quickly vaulted over the occupied bed in front of her, right over Monoma without a second thought to him, looking at her two students with a bit of a nervous grin. "C'mon, semantics won't get us anywhere!" She reached out and wrapped an arm around the injured exchange student, pulling Peter towards her with a firm grip. Nothing he couldn't handle, but still strong. "Related or not he's my protege, right?!"

Hearing that the raven haired woman crossed her arms, shaking her head softly with a soft chuckle. "Then it's safe to say we can blame you for his strong head." She quipped.

Not that Carol understood, tilting her head. "Strong head?"

Cue a wild cane bonking her over the head with the strength of Zues, causing the blonde to groan in utter pain.

"I swear, you and All Might might as well be the same person..." The eldest mumbled softly, shaking her head in both disappointment and frustration. "You both seem to think only with your fists and not your heads. And it's rubbing off on your disciplines..."

"What?! That's not true!..." The captain frowned, rubbing the top of her head in the process. She could swear a bump was growing now.

"I mean, you did put Monoma in that bed..." Kamala chimed in softly, gesturing to the near dead man she stood over.

"Plus, who else could teach Mister Parker such reckless behavior?"

"Well...I-It's not like I'm his only mentor! He has Rogers and Potts and...Ant-Man..." Carol paused a moment, looking down wt Peter, who gave a simple nod of confirmation that he did indeed know the guy. And knowing that she crossed her arms and turned back to the R-Rated hero. "Besides, his uncle had a lot more influence on him than me."

"Oh I bet." Nemuri let out another soft laugh. It was intriguing to her, both Carol and Wanda seemed so unexpected in the realm of teaching, a foil to Steve and Pepper's professionalism.

It was a fine dynamic, allowing more lightheartedness among the students they were with while still being stern, and encouraged them to be themselves while making sure they wouldn't be reckless. Not too reckless, anyway.

"Yeah, that's about how it went..." Peter let out a soft chuckle, lowering his head. It was minor to most, and most, especially his alleged classmate and teacher wouldn't notice. But it was noticeable to Midnight.

She could tell he was...sad. For some reason, his demeanor completely dropped. Was it something she said? Something Carol said?

"Peter?" She started softly, grabbing the bowl of rice in her lap to set it aside on the stand beside his bed. He then leaned closer, even getting out of her seat and lifting a hand to put on his shoulder.

But before she could question, maybe even consuel him, the door to the room slid aside once again, with the costumed pair Gwen and Momo stepping through.

"Hey Parker! You aren't dead yet, are ya?" The one and black spider spoke with grueling sarcasm in her voice. "Me and Momo were about to head the cafetería and she wanted to check up on..." Immediately she silenced herself once everyone who could turn to her did. It wasn't that so many eyes were on him, it was more that two particular set of eyes made her scream internally. Those two being Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel.

"Oh you're shitting me..." She mumbled under her breath.

"Gwen?" Kamala exclaimed, wide eyed in shock and confusion.

"And this one knows me, great..." She continued under her sigh of newfound frustration.

The Creation-Quirk User took notice, turning her attention to the foreign blonde. "Hm? Is something the matter?"

"Not at all, just...regretting going on this trip more and more as time goes on..." She grumbled with a heavy huff.

It had been only minutes before that the two had waited, prepared mentally and physically for their test, both their determination and resolve ready to be tested, to see just how far they've come since their first day at U.A.

So it was suffice to say the two were thrown through a loop when first stepping foot in the arena the test was held at. More specifically, there was nothing there.

It was a wide open room, the size of a football stadium at the least, simple cement floor, dull and plain grey walls, a high ceiling and lights overhead. Completely bare bones of anything. Except for a podium all the way on the other side, a key dangling over it.

Like Mineta and Sero, the point of this app was to get an item before time ran out. Relatively simple until they realized the Scarlet Witch may actually have a dark side. The biggest difference here however was that neither Midoriya or Bakugo knew who they were up against.

While the green-and-white suited younf man was weary of situation, his partner simply stepped forward, walking off towards the item. Much to his dismay.

"W-Wait, Kacchan hold on!" He started, taking only a step forward as he watched. "Something's not right, it can't be this easy!"

"Of course it isn't, you moron!" The explosive blonde snarled back, only looking ahead to the prize as he kept walking. "I'm not standing around for a punk teacher to try and get the jump on me!"

"Think about it, we don't know what teacher we're up against, or what their Quirk is!"

"And so what?! Doesn't fuckin' matter!" He growled lowly while paying the successor no mind. Unbeknownst to him a green mist began accumulating above him, immediately grabbing Deku's attention.

Was it poisonous gas, similar to Midnight? No, it had to be coming from somewhere for that to be the case. There were no vents anywhere in the room. And not just that, it was moving and taking shape into a massive balled fist, aimed straight at Bakugo with the intent to crush him under its thumb.

Without a second's hesitation Deku's veins lit with his latent power, running all over his body and enveloping him in flickering lightning. He shot forwards while reaching out a hand, just as the massive fist was sent his partner's way.

"I don't care if it's All Might himself! I'LL BLEW THEM ALL TO HELL!"

Before he knew it Bakugo could felt the sudden force of his partner catapulting straight into his back. Just five percent was more than enough to knock him off his feet and send him flying forward.

Just narrowly Midoriya slipped out the massive fist's cross hair, rolling onto his feet and sliding to a stop.

The spiky haired blonde tumbled onto the floor before stopping and getting on his hands and feet to try and get up. A low growl under his breath while he stood back on his feet "What the hell...YOU-"

"I told you!..." The green haired young man jumped back on his feet, giving a furrowed brow. "There's something wro-" He immediately cut his words short. The moment he looked over to Bakugo, he was met with a stone wall right in front of him.

"What the hell?..." Katsuki questioned with a look of both confusion and frustration. Lifting up a hand to press against the new barrier he could tell this wasn't an illusion. Could it have been Cementoss? No, they would've disclosed that with the brackets beforehand. It was something else.

Whatever it was made of was off, it wouldn't budge under Midoriya's fist, even at five percent, his body's current peak, lest he break under his own power.

"Kacchan!" he called out, gritting his teeth while looking at his handiwork. Not a dent. It was no use, he wasn't getting through as he was now. "Can you hear me?! Kacchan!"

It was no use. Even at the top of his lungs the wall was too thick. Bakugo couldn't hear a peep and neither could he with Deku.

No skin off his back though. It didn't matter, with or without Midoriya he was determined to win. However his chance may have gone up in smoke.

Turning around and diverting his attention back to his prize he was met with immediate shock. The once lit room had now grown different, the walls more rough and akin to a cave than a building interior like before. And more than that, the dangling key over the podium was gone, vanished.

"Grh...Dammit..." The Explosive Quirk user snarled while stepping towards the empty podium so far away. "So this guy's Quirk's illusion based?...Or he's just a slippery bastard."

His hand balled into a fist as he looked ahead, unaware of the green mist emerging from the ground behind him, taking shape and standing tall with a growing smirk among its forming face.

"In the end it doesn't matter...All this is is smoke and mirrors!"

"Kacchan!" He heard from behind, that same grating voice on his ears that he despised so much. And that mocking name coming from him made his blood boil.

Swiftly he turned around to face the source, anger clear in his eyes and tone as he yelled back with utter disdain in his voice. "Drop dead you piece of shit! I'll figure out where that key is myse-" Was all he could get out as he turned, before a wild fist connected to his cheek. More than enough to send him flying back onto his back with a sliding stop.

"Piece of shit?..." Midoriya's voice spoke up, an uncharacteristic tone of utter distain and dormant anger, finally surfacing after so long.

Sitting up with a sneer of growing frustraron upon his face Bakugo saw the perpetrator.

Standing across from him the aspiring young hero-in-training stood, adjusting his glove on his hand as he stepped forward. But something was different. His body illuminated by red strips of lightning coursing around him. A malevolent grin on his face and a sadistic look in his eyes.

"The only piece of shit here is you, Villain!"

He slammed his boot down firm on the cement floor, with enough force to crack under the force while he hunched over, ready to strike.

"And there's so much to fear. Because I am here!"
