Indigo's Road

I swore that I would be the best.

So now time has come to head west.

Carried on by force of will,

Heart aflutter, can't stay still.

From home a year I've been away,

In many places I have stayed.

Forests, plains, and even caves,

And the sea too is what I've braved.

Many pokémon is what I've sought.

And of those many, some I've caught.

And of my monsters, some I've picked,

For Indigo, a team of six.

And yet I confess a sense of dread.

Of my rival, always step ahead.

I won't turn back, I'll see this through.

But still I wonder, what of Blue?

I shake my head, continue west.

Head all the way to the plateau,
