Itachi is Three.

It was another normal day of tou-san pushing him, being given too many comments by the clan, more pressure. So like always, he takes a walk and admires the trees.

The toddler had no time to move before it fell.

A squeaks left his mouth, promptly turning him red in embarrassment. This unable to move due to the weight added, he attempts to look at what had fallen. Face going blank, Itachi stares.

He stares at the baby bear.

A bear.

Itachi thinks it's cute, if not a bit chubby and sitting on him, he'd only ever seen one in picture books. The bear has chocolate brown hair, like tou-san. He has large black eyes and looks sleepy.

Itachi wants to keep it.

They sit staring at eat other.

Itachi, of course, is sitting in the seiza. He's an Uchiha.

Also secretly jealous the bear can sit so much more comfortable.

The white furball looks at him curiously, will he try to eat Itachi?

Seeing as either made the first move, Itachi will introduce himself first.

"I am Uchiha Itachi, It's a pleasure to meet you."

Cue bow.

The bear cub blinks then copies him.

It was cute.

a small growl was Itachi's reply. He nods solemnly, seemingly understanding the bear.

"Of course Mi-chan."

Another nod of understanding.

They are talking back home now.

Well, Itachi rethinks, for Mi-chan, it's her new home.

Kaa-san and tou-san may not agree, but it okay. Itachi can just go live in Mi-chan's den with her until they agree.

Mi-chan head lightly bumps into him from the right. He stops and looks where she wishes him too. It's a training field, from the sounds coming, he assumes it's being used right now as well.

Changing paths without another thought, they make their way over.

Itachi's cousin, Shisui, the cheerful, loud, friendly Uchiha, is working himself to exhaustion. Shisui comes by to have a playdate with him sometimes. He's the only person his age, who truly understands him.

And his only friend.

So.

Itachi goes right into the field.

Mi-chan needs to know who to go too for help, when he's not there, anyway.
