"Step back."
The order of the Noblesse was hastily met. Despite the raging beast tearing up the land before him, Raizel strode forward with assurance. The withdrawal of powerful allies did not deter him, despite the danger ahead.
The Lord's voice was hesitant when he spoke. "Raizel." A hand rested on his shoulder, heavy and uncertain.
The Noblesse did not look back. "Let him come to me."
The hand on his shoulder tightened before relenting with a weary sigh. As the Lord's protective presence withdrew, Raizel was truly on his own.
The monster charged with a furious roar.
A mournful smile touched Raizel's lips. "I will cross the horizon to find you."
A sharp shard pierced his cheek, but he did not flinch as he was attacked.
"I know your true name," he declared. Certainty rang in his voice, lingering with a note of fondness.
The ground beneath their feet trembled as the energy from within Raizel was released. With a swipe of his hand, his fingers came back stained with his blood.
"And I will not let this demon define you."
The blood field cut them off from the outside world, hiding the concerned and worried looks of the gathered Nobles. This moment belonged to no one, but him and his bonded.
"This is not who you are." His eyes were bleeding, stained with the salty tears trailing down his face.
The abomination before him screamed, yet its cries were not the cries of an animalistic beast as some would believe. To Raizel's ears, it was more of a human's desperate cry for help. Opening its depthless eyes, tears of pain and guilt shone. The trapped soul that was so desperate to break free belonged to him, and that disgusting monster was tormenting what was his. But he could not have one without the other. So, he would willingly embrace both.
"I know who you are." The blood field was warm like a secure blanket, a sturdy shield, ready to comfort and heal. He approached, not with malicious intent, but with a noble purpose.
Powerless, yet willing, Dark Spear relented. Falling to its knees with a defeated cry as the blood field made contact with its burning body, it closed its eyes. With bleeding hands, Raizel touched its face. The inky darkness withdrew at his touch to reveal smooth, unblemished skin. Blond hair cascaded down over trembling shoulders. Eyes that held the sky in their irises flashed open, only to slowly lower with shame.
"Frankenstein," Raizel gently said. With soft movements, he tilted the human's chin up, and finally, those sapphire blue eyes met ruby red.
Frankenstein tiredly smiled, yet there was relief in his gaze. "Master."
A/N: I was watching Moana, and then the idea of Raizel walking towards a raging Dark Spear like Moana did with Te Ka just struck me as an interesting story. I think this is the shortest story I have ever written. D:
