All right, seeing as how I've been getting suggestions for a new chapter, I figured this is just as well that I update with a new chapter in hand! Anyway, enjoy!

About a few minutes later, over at Dexter's house, Dee Dee was sitting in the living room, on the phone as she was lowering her eyes, feeling a little disgusted. "You don't say."

"Believe it, girlfriend!" Mee Mee giggled with delight over the phone. "I mean, we're talking Dexter here! Your weird little brother! I mean, we both knew Lee Lee was crushing bad on Dexter, but you should have seen Dexter's blushing face when he was close to Lee Lee! You know, I'm beginning to think that your brother may be in love with our friend! Oh, we have so much to tease them on!"

"Uh... yeah. Wonderful." Dee Dee sighed as she looked down.

Mee Mee must have noticed Dee Dee's depressed tone of voice because she asked in concern, "Uh, Dee Dee, are you feeling okay? The only time you've shown this lack of excitement was when either a dance recital was cancelled or when Dexter became too mean to you."

"It's nothing. I just... I have a lot on my mind right now." Dee Dee sighed.

"Do you want me to come over?" Mee Mee asked. "You sound like you need someone to..."

"Really, it's fine!" Dee Dee said, her voice a little snappish... before sighing. "I need to go. I'll call you back later, okay?"

Without so much as an utterance of good-byes, Dee Dee hung up the phone as she gave a sigh as she slowly walked upstairs and sat next to the entrance of Dexter's room, feeling a bit moody. She couldn't even get in Dexter's laboratory to mess around with anything, that was how depressed she really was.

"I don't understand it..." Dee Dee said to herself as she looked at her feet. "I should be happy for Lee Lee and Dexter, I should be very supportive of them, but... why am I not feeling more up to it?"

For a long time, the blonde haired girl tried to rattle her small mind on what possible reason she had for feeling the way she did over Lee Lee and Dexter's relationship with each other. She sighed as she looked up at the ceiling. She paused as she started to think about her troubles. Sure, she had to admit, maybe she had annoyed Dexter quite a bit, but he usually never minded her coming back in the lab, despite what he said about staying away from it, and she was respectful in keeping the lab a secret, save for her two best friends. And Lee Lee… she knew for a long time that Lee Lee had a crush on Dexter, even teasing her on it on occasion. But the matter of Dexter accepting Lee Lee into his life... it just didn't sit right with her. She couldn't quite put her finger on why.

"Maybe Dexter wanted to have an assistant for a while?" Dee Dee said to herself, before shaking her head. "No way, Dexter would never want that... I mean, from what he told me, he doesn't like an assistant that's smarter than him... makes me wonder why he decided to put my brain back. Oh, I know he loves me too much..."

The blonde haired pig-tailed girl pouted as she hugged her legs, looking depressed. It was right around that time Dexter and Dee Dee's dad was coming upstairs, heading to his room to get something when he noticed his daughter sitting next to Dexter's room.

"Well, hi Dee Dee!" Dexter and Dee Dee's father grinned as he approached the girl. "What are you doing outside Dexter's room? He didn't kick you out again, did he? Because I told Dexter..."

"No, he didn't kick me out. He's just... not here right now." Dee Dee pouted. "He's out spending some time with Lee Lee..."

"Lee Lee, your friend?" Dexter and Dee Dee's dad said in surprise as he put a hand to his chin. "Hmmm... now that's something I never expected at all..."

"Please don't rub it in..." Dee Dee groaned as the blonde haired dad looked over in concern.

"What's wrong, Dee Dee? You should be happy. I know I am, Dexter rarely ever wants to go out unless it benefits him." Dexter and Dee Dee's dad grinned... before sighing. "Heaven knows I've been trying multiple times to get him interested in sports..."

"It's not that, it's just... I think my friend has a crush on my brother. And my brother seems to be returning the feelings, somehow, someway..." Dee Dee frowned.

Dexter and Dee Dee's father's eyes widened in shock... before he sported a grin. "Not only does he want to go outside, but he earns himself a nice girlfriend in the process! Wow! You know, he always took after his mother in a way, always sheltered and not wanting to associate with anyone. I know I used to be like that when your mother was a bit of a germaphobe. Heh, she still is, pretty much. That's why you usually never see her without her yellow gloves. Heck, I've seen Dexter with the purple gloves, I always assume it's because he was a bit of a germaphobe like your mother is. Heh, whatever Lee Lee is doing, she must be approaching him right."

Dee Dee shook her head as the dad kept rambling. "I didn't really get interested in cleaning up after myself until your mother pointed me in the right direction, and I helped quell her fear a little. You know, I bet Dexter's heading towards that same direction right now..."

"Uh, Dad? Can we focus on me for a minute?" Dee Dee looked up as Dexter and Dee Dee's dad looked over to her. "I'm sorry, it's just that, while I am happy for Dexter and Lee Lee, it's just, I really don't understand what he could possibly see in her."

Dexter and Dee Dee's father paused as he tapped his foot. "You know, it's hard to say, really. You can't really explain how an attraction starts, it just... happens. I know your mother and I had that attraction the minute I cleaned up myself and your mother put on those gloves for the first time... oh, it was always fantastic. Sure, we may have major differences, but once we both looked past these differences, we both became better people because of it. Think about it this way, Dee Dee. Your friend Lee Lee knows that Dexter is... well, while he's a boy genius, he's mostly pretty much sheltered. And Dexter is starting to see a different side of Lee Lee that he particularly enjoys. Maybe if you spent some time with people that know Dexter, you might find your answer."

Dee Dee looked up to her father in surprise as he gave a smile. "Trust me, Dee Dee. Everything will work out in the end... well, I better get my bowling ball out. I'm going bowling tonight!"

With that, Dexter and Dee Dee's dad hummed a little as he walked off, with Dee Dee sitting down, pondering in thought. "Spend some time with someone that knows Dexter... hmmmm… who do I know that knows Dexter more than even I do..."

After a moment... Dee Dee shuddered when one person came to mind. She didn't exactly enjoy his presence whenever she met up with him... but she knew that she didn't have much of a choice. Getting up, she started to head downstairs and out the door, calling for her mother that she was going down for a while to meet up with someone, with the mother calling back to 'come back by 5!'.

Pretty soon, after a long walk, Dee Dee had soon arrived at the familiar household of a certain family... the Astronomanov household. Dee Dee had arrived at this house plenty of times before, usually by either Mandark unwittingly leading her there, or his family inviting her to babysit Mandark, despite her uncomfortableness. But today, she was on a different mission... a mission of very utter importance. She knew that it was going to be tough, but she knew she didn't have much of a choice.

Seeing as how the house didn't have a doorbell of any kind, she knocked on the door and waited for one of Mandark's hippie parents to answer it. But, it wasn't either of Mandark's parents, but somebody else who had answered the door... a familiar black haired girl, shorter than her, but had a serious look to her face.

"Dee Dee. Pretty surprised to see you're here." The girl frowned.

Dee Dee returned the frown. "Lalavava…"

After a moment of glaring in silence, both of them couldn't help but crack smiles as they gave a laugh, Dee Dee smiling, "Where have you been? I haven't seen you since last year!"

"Oh, you know the parents, they sent me off to a private school out in the town." Lalavava smiled. "I'm just back for a couple of weeks on vacation, catching up with them. I know they have their little rituals that they normally do, but it's nice to go back to them once in a while. Unlike my stupid brother of course. How's yours, by the way?"

"Currently, he's out with a girl. Something that I never thought would come out of my mouth." Dee Dee frowned. "Speaking of brothers, is yours in? I want to have a private chat with him."

Lalavava looked up in surprised at Dee Dee. "That's highly uncharacteristic of you, Dee Dee, wanting to meet up with my brother when you say you find him weird..."

"I know, I know, but... this is very important. Can you take me to him?" Dee Dee asked.

"I'll see if he's in." Lalavava said as she started to walk out, little realizing that a large robot had already left the area behind the girl. Dee Dee hummed a little bit as she crossed her arms. After a couple minutes, the girl came back. "He took his robot out for the moment. Probably aiming to destroy your brother."

"Shoot." Dee Dee pouted. "Well, can I at least stay here and wait until he comes back? This is very important that I talk to him."

Lalavava looked surprised, but kept her firm look. "Whatever. I suppose you could stay. Want me to make you some tea?"

"YES PLEASE!" Dee Dee grinned happily as Lalavava winced a bit, holding her ears.

"Right... I'll get the water boiling." Lalavava said as she took Dee Dee right inside.
