Hallo... IDK why I felt like writing this XD

"You know what you should do? You should just take a swan dive off the roof and hope that you are born with a quirk in your next life!"

"Pros are always risking their lives. I cannot simply that that 'You can become a hero even without power.' "

What am I even doing... Midoriya sighed, looking down the building. The same building that All Might had told him that a quirkless person could not become a hero. Still... Midoriya couldn't bring himself to hate or despise his all time favourite hero. I'm just being silly. Kacchan... All Might... everyone... they're all right. Without a quirk, I can't protect myself... or anyone...

He heard a loud bang.

"What... what's going on?" Midoriya stood up, looking around. He spotted smoke coming up from the alley at the side of the building he was at. He peered down, trying to take in what was going on. He spotted the sludge monster, the one that almost killed him in the tunnel before All Might had saved him. Within its grasp, was a blond boy that was firing explosions from his hands, trying to escape...

"Kacchan!" Midoriya cried out, and before he could think, he leapt off the building, and landed on the sludge monster. "Let go of Kacchan!" Midoriya shrieked, smashing his bag into the sludge monster's face and eyes.

It wasn't long All Might came and saved the duo, along with Kamui Woods and Backdraft.

"You sure you want this guy? He seems a bit... unhinged... " Kurigiri muttered, washing a glass as he stared at the monitor which showed a blonde boy screeching at the green haired boy that had jumped in to save him, while All Might was trying to coax the crowd into leaving as the other pro heroes were lecturing the boy along with the blonde.

"His quirk will be useful. If he's not cooperative, we can always just steal it." The voice from the other monitor came on.

"Yes, Sensei..." Tomura grinned behind the hand on his face.

"Stupid Deku! I don't need you to save me!" Bakugou yelled, "Why did you even come here!?"

"You looked like you needed help!" Midoriya cried.

Suddenly, behind Bakugou, a purple mist portal opened up. Neither of the pro heros noticed as they were busy trying to tell Midoriya that his actions were risky, but they were confused over the sudden increase in wind speed. A hand reached out of the portal and made a grab at Bakugou. Midoriya's eyes widened in shock, and before he could realise what he was doing, he dashed past the two pros and pushed Bakugou to the side.

"Deku! What the fuck was that - " Bakugou screeched, rubbing his head, but he was cut off as he saw the hand grab on to Midoriya and started pulling him into the portal.

"Kid!" Kamui Woods and Backdraft yelled, but braced themselves to avoid being pulling into the portal.

"Deku! You stupid idiot! Stop trying to save me you useless fuck!" Bakugou growled, and leapt at Midoriya, grabbing his hand. Kamui Woods let his wood out, grabbing Bakugou before he, along with Midoriya were dragged into the portal, "Stop! You'll get dragged in too!"

"Kacchan! Let go!" Midoriya yelped, getting tugged on both arms by the arm from the portal and Bakugou.

"Shut it, Deku!" Bakugou growled, but Midoriya could see the desperation in his eyes.

Kacchan cares...

That was all Midoriya needed to be happy. His friend-bully cared about him.

Midoriya loosened his grip on Bakugou's hand.

"Hold on you fucking idiot!" Bakugou yelled, gripping onto Midoriya's hand even tighter, "What about your mom!?"

"Sorry... Kacchan... I'm glad that you'll be safe..."

Bakugou's eyes widened as Midoriya let go of his hand completely, slipping through his grip as he was pulled straight into the portal.

"Izuku!" Bakugou yelped, as the portal closed.

The wind stopped, and Bakugou fell onto the ground, before getting up, blinking.

"Deku..?" Bakugou looked around.

"Where did that green haired kid come from?"

"I don't know. It seems like he jumped off the roof."

"Why was he even up there?"

"No idea... poor kid though... maybe he was trying to end his life and just happed to see what was happening..."

Bakugou trembled, his harsh words to his childhood friend echoed through his mind.

"You know what you should do? You should just take a swan dive off the roof and hope that you are born with a quirk in your next life!"

"Deku... You fucking idiot... don't take what I was saying seriously..." Bakugou tremebled, tears quickly forming in his eyes as he wiped them away.

"Kid... are you okay?" Backdraft placed his hand on Bakugou's shoulder.

"Shut up! You heroes are useless! You couldn't even save one kid!" Bakugou growled, slapping Backdraft's hand away.

He walked past the heroes, out of the alley, before something caught his eye.

Midoriya's notebook. The one that he had burnt and thrown out the window.

He picked it up and walked away, the crowd of passer-bys opening up a path for the blonde.

Backdraft attempted to go after the boy, but Kamui Woods stopped him, "Leave him be. He's grieving over his friend. We can save him... we finally have a lead on all these kidnappings."

Bakugou walked home and opened the door.

"Are you okay!?" His mom rushed over, hugging him tightly before checking him over for injuries. "I...I'm fine..." Bakugou choked, tearing up again. "It's about Izuku... isn't it... we heard it on the news." His mother wiped his face, "Come on... let's talk to Aunt Inko...I think she'll need some company now..."

Bakugou just nodded, silently.

My headcanon is that Bakugou actually cares about Midoriya since they were friends, but once everyone found out that Midoriya had no quirk, they started bullying him, and Bakugou just went along with it because of peer pressure. Then over time Bakugou forgot why he even started bullying Midoriya.
