Lost in Transition
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the canon characters; they belong to Disney Pixar Studios. Based on the drabble prompt: "I lost our baby." I read the prompt and knew I couldn't write an angst fic out of it; I just couldn't bear the thought of writing such a piece. I hope you all enjoy!

When Helen Parr returns home from the grocery store, she finds her husband on his hands and knees on the living room floor. Not yet noticing his wife's presence, Bob uses his superhuman strength to lift the couch before he frantically searches under it. Holding up a rattle, Bob Parr gives the toy a good shake. Upon receiving no answer, the super practically hurls the couch back down to the ground. Helen clears her throat, and Bob leaps to his feet, looking like a kid who was caught in the cookie jar before dinner.
"Lose something, Bob?" Helen asks, still managing to remain calm in this strange situation.
"Yeah. Yeah!" he agrees, looking Helen in her eyes. "I can't seem to find my car keys! Those darn things always fall between the couch cushions!" Bob covers, a slightly nervous expression on his face.
"Bob, you know I took your car to go grocery shopping," Elastigirl reminds, and Bob knows all too well that is the 'You're in trouble' voice. "What are you really looking for?"
There's no use in denying it.
"I lost our baby!" Bob blurts out, shame written on his face.
"You lost Violet?!" Helen demands.
"Well, you failed to mention the fact that she can turn invisible on a whim!" Bob loudly insists.
Author's Note: And there it is! My first Incredibles FanFiction! One of my best friends and I went to see The Incredibles 2 on the very first day it came out; we were so excited we got a sequel to one of our favorite childhood movies! I honestly think the sequel was even more incredible than the original movie, if you'll pardon the pun. Anyway, I loved the second movie so much, and it inspired me greatly; now that it is on Netflix, I plan on getting more inspiration for future fics. So, I wrote this as one of my drabbles for the March Drabble Challenge because if Bob lost Jack-Jack, you know he most likely lost Violet many, many times since she can turn invisible. As always, reviews are greatly appreciated. I hope everyone enjoyed! Until next time, dear readers; have an amazing day, afternoon, or night!
