"I could stay like this all day."
Zevran chuckled as he ran his fingers through Haydn's blonde hair, "It is good to know that I can still please you after all these years," he said turning his head to breathe in her flowery scent, "I was beginning to worry I may be boring you."
"You are a lot of things Zevran...but boring is not one of them," Haydn whispered, tracing shapes on his chest lovingly "trust me on that..."
He sighed and slipped his other hand around her hip and pull her closer to him, "Ah, these things you say," he muttered, grinning as she raised her head to look at him with those beautiful blue eyes, "they make my heart race like an Orlesian to a brothel."
"More like an Antivan," Haydn teased and leaned forward to kiss the corner of his mouth, "just remember you told me all your stories. I know how many you went too."
"Oho, so you were keeping count were you?" Zevran asked smirking a little "Wanted to know all about me before I seduced you."
Haydn raised an eyebrow, "You seduced me?" she asked, "Do you even remember what you said before we slept together?"
"Arr! Pirate Zevran reporting for duty! Prepare to be boarded!" He smiled widely when Haydn began to giggle, hiding her face in the crook of his neck, "Laugh all you want, my dear Warden, you still slept with me after hearing that."
"Don't remind me," Haydn was stunning when she smiled, especially with her hair tousled and eyes sparkling with happiness, "I still can't believe it myself."
Zevran looked at her and in that moment, he still couldn't believe how incredibly lucky he was to have her in his life. And it was also in that moment, he remembered what was going to happen.
"Stay."
It was amazing how much tension came from one, simple word. The smile slid off of Haydn's face and she averted her eyes, "Zev...please don't."
"I don't want you to go-"
"-stop it-"
"-I love you."
Haydn's eyes widened and she shakily rolled onto her back, "Zevran, we talked about this..." she whispered, covering her face with her hands, her voice trembling as she spoke "I need to do this...you know I do. The nightmares they've-they've started again and I won't die like that. I won't. So please don't make this harder than it has to be, it's killing me to leave you when I love-love..."
"Forgive me, mi amor," Zevran said, lying on his side and taking her hands in his to kiss them tenderly "I just can't imagine living without you," he added sadly, "which is why I have made a decision."
"A decision?"
"I am coming with you," he said firmly, "you will not do this alone."
For a moment Haydn just lay there looking at him stunned before blinking "You're... coming with me?"
"Every moment you are alive is a moment I will share with you," Zevran whispered, tracing her lips with his thumb gently, "I will not lose a single moment, mi amor."
A small smile appeared on her face and her eyes softened as she looked at him "You're going to leave with me no matter what I say won't you?"
"Just try and stop me, I am excellent at getting my own way," Zevran chuckled, propping himself up on his elbow and leaning over her, "you should know this by now, my lovely goddess."
"You'd think I would," Haydn wrinkled her nose at him before sighing and putting her arms around his neck and pulling him towards her, "I don't know what I did to deserve you, Zevran Arainai, I couldn't imagine life without you. I love you."
Zevran kissed her deeply and ran his fingers up and down her body, making her shiver deliciously in his arms, "And I you my dear," he whispered, "for all eternity."
