Strong, Confident Woman
A/N: I was so amazed at the teaser trailer for Frozen 2 that I was inspired to write this very short piece. I was impressed by the opening scene with Elsa and the ocean. It really shows what a confident woman she has become. If you haven't seen the trailer yet, I'd highly recommend it.
As Elsa looked in the mirror in front of her, she took in her reflection. Over the years, she had never really taken the time to admire the woman she had become. Her fear of hurting someone with her powers overshadowed any notion of seeing how grown up she was. But after the events of last year, Elsa had changed so much, and become a better person because of it. She had always heard that what didn't kill you made you stronger, and she had to agree. Elsa had endured so much pain and heartache for many years, that in the end, she didn't come out broken and defeated. Instead, she came out stronger than ever. Now, looking in the mirror, Elsa gazed at her reflection staring hungrily back her. Her sapphire blue eyes, shined in the moonlight, reflecting off of the mirror. Blue eyes, just like the ice that she could create with a mere flick of her wrist. Cold, hard, dangerous, but ultimately beautiful. Elsa admired her figure, which was curvy, but still regal and poised. The dress that she wore was one of her own creation. The delicate, intricate, ice dress, which showed off her curves. It would stun anyone to see her in it. Her hair was braided neatly, and rested gently on her right shoulder. She wore purple eyeshadow, complimenting her blonde hair and makeup. She wore a thin trace of lipstick on her lips, illumining her beauty. There was no denying it, she was beautiful. But through all this, Elsa knew what the reflection really showed: a strong, confident woman. She believed that she could overcome any challenge that came her way. After all, she had the love of her beloved sister, Anna, and the admiration of her people. That alone gave her strength. Elsa held out a hand in front of her, watching in the mirror as she created shards of ice within her palm. By moving her fingers, she swirled the ice around in circles, enjoying the view and the feeling as she did so. When Elsa clasped her hand together, the ice disappeared. She smiled when that happened. To know that she could control her powers was relieving in itself. She no longer feared them, but embraced them as a part of who she was. Her powers were what made her unique, not dangerous. She was not the monster that she had allowed herself to believe that she was. No. Elsa was no longer that person. She was a strong, confident woman, ready to take on the world. Passion flowed through her veins, just like the ice and snow within her. With a determined mind, and pure heart, anything was possible for her. As Elsa took one last look at her reflection, absorbing the truth that it presented. The Queen of Arendelle was here to stay.
