I don't even know what this is or if I'll continue it, but I will mention that it was partially inspired by the song Once Upon a December.
Gray couldn't go a day without thinking of Carmen. Something about her pulled at his mind, like something was trying to push through. Originally, he was hoping to maybe learn something that night at the cafe, but instead she showed up across the street, only to give him a sad smile and walk away.
The smile. It haunted his dreams. There was more to it than he got to see, and he wanted to know what. Really, there was a lot more he wanted to know.
Why did Carmen act so sure that he knew her after they first met, but then all of the sudden write it off.
Why did she show up across the street to only disappear?
Why was he starting to feel like he knew her? That she was important? That he... betrayed her?
And why did the month December make him think of water balloons?
