News of a breach involving SCP-682 set all units on high alert, we began having trouble when it seemed to be a few steps ahead of us every time, to the point when we lost it and had to send unmanned drones in search of it one drone discovered something incredibly bizarre.
Mission Abstract: To locate SCP-682.
Assigned Task Force: N/A(10 automated drones).
Additional Information: The following is a recording of a Remote Broadcast sent via one of the 10 automated drones.
[Begin Log]
The drone was hovering above a forested area for a few hours not finding anything of note, until it eventually came across an open field in it was what appeared to be an abnormally tall woman in pitch-black armor, in a horned-helm and wielding a battle axe. She also appeared to be engaged in combat with SCP-682 and they were so far fighting on equal terms, despite every strike from the battle ax causing notable shockwaves, from seemingly breaking the sound-barrier. After a half hour The Unkillable Reptile appeared to be adapting quickly to Its opponent, but then unexpectedly a visible ripple was followed by a tear in the fabric of reality making a gate-way for a figure in ornate robes, which appeared to be an abnormally tall skeleton holding a staff. It yelled something that couldn't be understood from the distance, then the woman in armor retreated into the rift, before it disappeared. Then the skeleton prepared to engage SCP-682.
Before The Reptile could react, the skeleton shouted something that was loud enough to hear.
"(Widen Magic) Cry of The Banshee!" a loud screech of what sounded like a woman was heard followed by another sentence from the skeletal figure, "The Goal of All Life Is Death!" it was followed by a flash of runes before a blinding flash of light, lastly the Drone went dead.
[End Log]
After another drone passed by the area, where the inert drone was last scene, it revealed that the entire area within a radius of one-hundred meters was scorched earth, with absolutely no forms of life and eventually discovered the somehow deceased body of SCP-682 perfectly intact with no damage, yet lifeless. It was later discovered from soil samples, that the environment was in-fact not just dead but toxic to life, also tissue samples from The Unkillable Reptile revealed complete cell-death similar to the case of SCP-2935. The Association has established a perimeter restricting the dead-zone from civilians.
Update:
To anyone wondering as to how it's possible The Un-killable Reptile died, my reasoning is the concept of inescapable death is what killed it instead of any destructive power from the spell, because SCP-682 has survived outlandishly powerful destructive forces before. Because I got this idea from the previously mentioned SCP-2935 where SCP-682 was actually found dead from the instant death event in that world and as we all know anything is possible in The SCP Foundation Mythos.
