To be honest, I wasn't very happy with the way this chapter turned out. There's quite a bit of scene jumps within it. But honestly, Toaru is such a large series that takes place in such a short amount of time, with many events happening in the same day even that sometime short scene jumps will probably be needed just to keep track of a bunch of things.
Now, moving on, I figure I'm going to address something here. There's been a few complaints about powering Touma up defeating the purpose of him. I don't believe so at all. When played straight, using the novel feats, word for word, Touma is an absolute monster. He's physically stronger than Captain America, sturdier than a tank, capable of scaling a five story buildings in seconds, able to jump off of buildings and not sustain any injures, react to lightning speed attacks and dodge them handily.
And one of my biggest complains ever with Kamachi is how stupid his loophole in abilities are. For instance, Touma can have billions of fights worth of experience fighting a goddess, where he has to learn and instinctively be able to dodge thousands of explosions at once, light speed attacks, freaking planets being thrown at him and more. Yet Kamachi claims that is trumped by a few years of martial arts experience because he only learned Othinus' combat patterns? Yeah, it doesn't work like that. i'm gonna be honest buddy, he still had to have the superhuman ability to dodge all this shit. It's like, does he even know how fast an explosion is?
And I'm gonna be honest again. As early as the first few novels, in the first fight with Accelerator, it is stated that vector boy was accelerating himself forward at speeds greater than a bullet. It doesn't matter if it's telegraphed, it's still that speed and Touma was dancing around him at that point. He physically needs the capability to do that in the first place no matter what. And martial artist or not, if someone is capable of dancing around those kinds of speeds consistently and without issue as stated in the novel, then he's gonna dance around a freaking gang of martial artists as well unless they're some kind of superhuman beasts as well.
This of course is when he's being played straight and keeping his abilities consistent. Kamachi sadly, as amazing as he is when it comes to world building and character design, isn't nearly as good when it comes to power balancing in his series, nor character growth. The likes of Touma and Misaka flip flop constantly. Emotionally in Misaka's case and strength wise Touma's case.
And as poorly handled as it is, I get why he does it. Because if Touma was kept consistent in his abilities like this, he'd either be unable to perform what he did canonically because those feats are just not possible for a normal human, or he'd pretty much solo most of the volume arcs and take care of all the problems early on without issue because without having the worf effect, most of the guys he fights wouldn't have been threats at all. He'd probably have lazily walked through all his opponent bar Kanzaki, Ars Magna boy, Accelerator and possibly Tsuchimikado right up until Aqua when things started ramping up.
He'd have been grabbing Stiyl level opponents and wiping his ass all over their faces, being like, "How you like dat illusion break boii!?" and there'd just be the sound of glass breaking everywhere when their illusions of actually being relevant at all were broken.
So yes, I really do get it. It doesn't mean I'm not allowed to be frustrated about it though. It's more more frustrating to me, because I don't follow any main characters as a fan nowadays besides Touma. So as the last one I'm following and a fan of, he is an important character to me.
..Anyway, this kind of went off topic. the point is, I understand your problems, but this is going to be different from canon. Because this is leading towards a more proactive Touma, and something like that is going to draw in more enemies that canon Touma didn't deal with.
Moving on, I've noticed it seems kind of a tradition to answers reviews in the authors note for Toaru stories, so I guess I'll try that out myself.
Majin Othinus: I got kind of hounded by rabid fans when I first uploaded the prologue for daring to have Touma seek to improve because it's so super ooc and all that. So my interest kind of died for a bit.
Pericles of Cholargos: It's actually pretty much all he needs. But there are a few conveniences he'll get later that will make things a bit easier on him. They'll have something to do with the Misaka Network.
LoamyCoffee: It's mostly because so few people write for Toaru that it's hard to keep the muse going without more content of it to immerse yourself in.
OSR Fanatic: Well, while it might be a bit in character, it's not like she has constant tabs on him that can tell her this is happening right this very instant and such.
Aminadab Brulle: I think it might be fun to play with the shoe on the other foot for once.
Jonathanblade00: With Gunha yeah? I've got a bit of a theory going that Touma was connected to every single level 5 in some way or form prior to losing his memory. He even has a slight connection to Kakine canonically because of that chick working with him that Touma fought in Biohacker, and the possibility being reignited that the number 6 is Aogami. At the very least, we know the number 6 knows quite a bit about Touma. and it's not like we've really had Touma and Gunha together in many scenes beyond Railgun, and they wouldn't reveal something important for later story there.
Guest: I never said Touma fought Misaki. And yes I've read 22R. I've read every main novel up to GT2 including most of the side stories. Well, I've not read the Railgun SS, the sheer lack of Touma strolling in to steal the spotlight as he does in other Railgun adaptions kills most of my interest there. Touma and Misaka's interactions are what make Railgun worth following in my opinion and expands the overall world.
Well, this Author's Note went on way longer than I intended, yeesh. Sorry about that guys.
"I don't know what Saten-san found so funny about this," Mikoto grumbled as she made her way across the bridge towards a certain hospital, "It's not like I'm even doing this because I wanted to, It's just to say thanks, that's all."
The face of a familiar spiky haired idiot flashed through her head. That good natured twit that constantly made a fool of her and trampled over all of her efforts, whether that be when trying to fight him or even how she planned to end everything the other night.
"..This is him we're talking about here," she grumbled, ignoring the heat rising to her cheeks, "He's just gonna say something like, 'I fought because I wanted to, you don't need to thank me' and act all cool."
She hated that she couldn't help but admire him and think he was cool. Since the very night she met him he'd stood out to her more than anyone else. The nonchalant way he treated her, as if she wasn't any special at all because of her abilities, the casual way he saved her and Uiharu and didn't even care that she was the one who ended up getting the credit for it.
..The way he so vehemently declared how he cared and was worried about her. The way he pushed himself up from the brink of death to protect her and her sisters.
"Gah!" Mikoto shouted, shaking her head before her face heated up any more. She swung a few rapid punches through the air with one hand, while keeping the simple brown bag containing cookies safe within her other hand, "He made me make him home made cookies so if he doesn't take them I'm gonna make him pay!"
"Pay for what?" his voice cut in and Mikoto froze. Shakily, she jerked her head around to find the object of her thoughts right there, just a few feet away. He was clad in nothing more than a pair of shorts and a hoodie that wasn't even properly zipped up. The bandages wrapped around his head were as clear as day, but with the hoodie not zipped up properly, it left quite a bit of his chest revealed, most of which was bandaged up as well, and he was hobbling along on a pair of crutches.
Quite frankly, he still looked like hell even two days later. But at the very least he wasn't bundled up in a neck brace like yesterday. But still, what was with this freakish recovery ability? You couldn't just go from needing a neck brace and not being able to sit up at all to casually leaving the hospital on a pair of crutches the next day.
"W-what are you doing here!?" she sputtered, turning around to face him. "Shouldn't you still be in the hospital?"
He shrugged lightly from where he leaned over his crutches, "Well, I can't really keep on piling up hospital bills now can I? For a poor High School student like me, they're really expensive," he replied easily, a light smile on his face. A smile that quickly was replaced with a morose, even almost depressed look, "Not to mention that bratty roommate of mine gets more and more violent with each day I'm away."
That was right, he did keep saying he was only a level zero didn't he? And it was true no matter how hard she looked she couldn't really find him on a casual search through the public Esper list. She was tempted to offer to cover the expenses for him, since it was her fault he was in this state in the first place and actually gave him a few pretty bad injuries herself. But, she'd known this guy for a while now, heck, she'd technically known him longer than even Kuroko. He'd just flat out refuse.
"So what brings you here?" he asked, snapping her from her thoughts after shaking his head and regaining his smile. She held back a yelp and hid the cookies behind her back, "Come to visit me again?" he asked teasingly.
She floundered for a moment. But he came to her rescue, "Just kidding." he laughed.
"O-ofcourse not!" she ended up agreeing with him. Then mentally berated herself. Mikoto hated how she could never seem to stay calm and cool around this guy! He always made her so flustered.
"Ouch, no need to be so harsh about it." the spiky haired boy continued to laugh it off.
Why did she always act like such a little kid around him!?
Mikoto gathered all her courage, "I-it wasn't j-just about v-visiting you." she forced herself to stuttered out quietly. "B-but you really h-helped me out a lot s-so.."
Touma sighed, "What's up with you today Biribiri?" he asked, "You're giving me mixed signals here. Don't go all tsundere on me now."
That nickname again! It was like a trigger. Her eye twitched and all shyness left her. "H-how many times do I have to tell you, I have a name!" she retorted hotly, "Misaka Mikoto! Remember it will you!?" Mikoto jerked her head up to glare at him.
A small smile spread across Touma's face at the familiar reaction. Silence fell between them as he met her eyes and Mikoto felt her heart pound at the almost relaxed atmosphere that appeared to just come out of nowhere.
He started hobbling forward on his crutches right up until he was by her side and then the spiky haired boy glanced at her out of the corner of one of his eyes just before he passed her, "I'll see you later," he said, "Mikoto." Only the sounds of his crutches meeting the ground were heard for a few moments.
Something warm spread throughout her chest and Mikoto reached up and grasped her shirt. "Oh." she whispered. She wasn't sure what kind of face she was making at the moment, what she did know was that her cheeks were positively burning, and a giddy small was pulling across her lips that she couldn't pull back if she tried.
Various times floated through her mind. The countless times he'd teased her, the way she could comfortably talk to him without having to deal with any of that level five buisness and be treated like a normal. His admittance to worrying for her and coming to save her. One stood out above all though. Remembering his blue eyes staring up at her from her lap, her tears on his cheek, and the gentle warmth of his hand that ever so gently patted her head and eased the despair that threatened to swallow her whole and made her wholly believe that everything was going to be alright as long as he was there.
...Could she be...?
As expected, even being injured as he was didn't save the unlucky Kamijou from the super chomp chomp frenzy attack of Index. She wasn't happy at all that he wasn't around to look after her for multiple days, or that he wouldn't elaborate on just who he picked a fight with to end up so injured.
Touma himself wasn't very happy to find that the stock of food he had left that should have been enough for three normal people for nearly a month was already down to nearly nothing. Nor the fact that his dorm room was an utter wreck. Clothes, empty food wrappers and juice bottles scattered everything, somehow there was even a pair of panties hanging from the main light!
And that night, after easing into his bathtub Touma came to a decision. He was going to buy himself a damn futon to sleep on, screw the bathtub!
Thankfully, by the time the next morning came around, he had recovered enough to walk without the aid of his crutches. And after preparing Index some breakfast in advance before she woke up, the spiky haired boy left his apartment behind to go and take care of a few things. Specifically, grocery shopping and a few other things.
It was surprising to him now, but once upon a time, when he was still regaining his bearings, Touma had wondered what the point was of his past self having three different bank accounts. One where his stipend from Academy City went, another for the money his parents sent him, and another to stockpile the leftover of each and save up the excess.
These days, the spiky haired boy praised the forethought of his past self. How he managed to predict there would be a scary bottomless pit of a nun that would stupidly order take out and other such nonsense from his stipend from the city, he'd never know, but he praised him nevertheless.
Level Zero's did not get paid much at all. It was liveable, but there would be very little luxuries. As it was, Touma got a monthly amount of one hundred thousand yen. Now, if it was just Touma, it would be enough to get by easily, especially when taken into account how food and other such necessities were much cheaper in Academy City and it was luxuries such as games manga and such that were raised in price to promote the studying of students. But then, certain things had to be taken into account. For instance, the nun that practically embodied the sin of gluttony living with him who ate enough for three grown men at each serving and not to forget, his misfortune that meant he had to constantly replace things.
The only reason Touma could survive, was thanks to the money his parents sent him. They sent him an extra two hundred thousand yen a month.
But as it was, by time he was done replacing his cellphone, grabbed another month worth of groceries and bought a mini-couch fold out futon and paid a little extra for it to be delivered when he was home, he was out a whole seventy thousand yen.
Trudging his way home, Touma had an utterly defeated look on his face that he felt no need to do away with. "Such misfortune." the spiky haired boy groaned. He was clad once again a light hoodie and pair of shorts, while he was recovered enough to walk again anything tight on him still smarted like all hell.
The only positive really was the fact that it was only a few days until the next month and then he'd get more money in. The thought lit a fire inside Touma's belly and he came to a stop, raising a hand into the air and clenching it into a fist, 'Yosh! Kamijou-san the king of thrifty house husbands will hold out without going over his budget!' he cheered mentally.
He had just under a hundred thousand yen left within the bank account with money sent to him by his parents. And the secret five thousand yen bill he kept hidden in his shoe at all times just in case. He would make sure to keep Index's spending to a minimum and add the extra left over to his personal saving account.
'Actually, now that I think about it, how much do I even have in that third account?' Touma blinked after a moment. He spent so much time fretting over the other two due to Index and his misfortune that he rarely ever worked up the courage to look at it.
Shaking his head, the spiky haired boy was about to continue on when he noticed the building he had stopped in front of. It was a small family restaurant with a big sign proclaiming the name 'Joseph's' above the main entrance.
"I think I'll treat myself." he grinned. Family restaurants generally weren't all that expensive. And it would be a good little bit of revenge on that glutton back at his dorm. Besides, a high calorie and protein based meal was what he was recommended to take with his supplements, and his muscles were torn enough right now from the procedure he went through that Heaven Canceller had assured him would work just the same as a work out for the most part until it was fully healed. Or something like that. Again, ol' Kamijou-san could barely remember anything of that conversation with how high he was on pain medication.
He just knew it was something along the lines that his muscles were torn pretty nicely from the procedure. And when muscles were torn and healed, they got stronger. Simple stuff. And with his supplements and recommended diet, they would heal faster and better..or something.
Ah really, he could make all the excuses he wanted. But Touma really just gleefully entered the family restaurant for a little petty revenge.
"So you're back to having a ton of free time huh Misaka?"
Mikoto looked up and rolled her eyes at the short girl dressed in a blue maid outfit making her way over to start clearing away her breakfast dishes. "Hey now, why is it you act like I'm never busy?" the electromaster retorted.
"Well, whatever it was you were doing, it must have been pretty rough if you got Touma Kamijou involved," Maika stated, ignoring her question as she began picking up plates, "You didn't even say hi to me when I ran into the both of you at his dorm the other day."
Mikoto sputtered out a cough, "Y-you know him?" she asked shakily. And she definitely wasn't with him and met with Maika, so it was probably one of the sisters.
The maid girl raised an eyebrow at her, "Are you feeling okay Misaka? You were right there when I had a conversation with him, so of course I know him," she shook her head, "My brother's dorm is right next to his and they're best friends."
"Y-yeah sorry, I was a bit out of it that day." Misaka lied, "..But how'd you know I ended up getting him caught up in my problems?"
"I just assumed," Maika shrugged, beginning to pile the plates, "My brother was all worried because he got all beaten up. I was sure surprised when I saw him last night. It'll take someone real strong to do that to Kamijou, he and my brother have beaten up plenty of high level espers and gangs of Skill-Out in the past without much trouble. So I just figured that since you were with him around the time it happened it was more than likely something that was giving you trouble as well, and really, something that can give a level five trouble is all I could think of that could do that to Kamijou."
It was a little frightening how close to the mark she was. Misaka scratched her cheek nervously, "Y-yeah, he helped me out a lot." she explained. Still, for some reason she couldn't help but feel all tingly inside that she somehow had another connection to that idiot.
A sudden realisation came to her a split moment later! 'W-wait!? If her brother lives right next to that idiot, doesn't that mean I can get her to tell me where he lives?' Misaka thought to herself, her fingers twitching with excitement. She couldn't see it, but at the crown of her head, an ahoge flickered with electricity and rose up like an antenna.
Mikoto reached forward for her glass of water, thinking on how she would word it and get the maid girl to tell her where that idiot lived without coming off as suspicious, especially since one of her sisters was apparently already there and knew where he lived.
"Really, that nun that he's looking after doesn't make things easy on him," Maika continued, unaware of the tea haired girls thoughts, "Even as injured as he is he still has to make her dinner and look after her. And the sheer amount she eats is insane. My brother knows why she's living with him I think, but he won't tell me, it's really weird."
"There's a girl living with him!?" Mikoto shouted in shock. Her hand clasped around her glass tightly and electricity sparked through it. Moments later, it was little more than a small pile of sparking glass shards while the Ace of Tokewadai shook the blue haired maid back and forth demanding answers.
A cute silver haired nun, around middle-school aged in terms of looks. She turned up just over a month ago. That idiot was apparently involved in some kind of incident with her that led to him being hospitalised. Around the same time, the entire dorm almost went up in flames. Then days later, she had moved in and been staying with him ever since.
On top of that, she was very loud, complained a lot and apparently ate more at one serving than three grown men.
'If that's all, then she isn't a threat right?' Mikoto nodded to herself as she sat in a waiting chair in the lobby of the hospital both her sisters and that idiot had been admitted to together. Putting aside the fact that she apparently lived with him, even if it made blood boil. No boy would want to look after some free loading girl right? She apparently didn't even pay for her own things from what Tsuchimikado had told her.
It really begged the question just why he was looking after her. But again, for the moment, none of that was important. What was really important, was she she couldn't measure up to Mikoto herself..right?
She was Misaka Mikoto after all! She was good looking according to Kuroko and others. She was well off...though that guy wasn't the type to care about that. She could look after and protect herself..except for against guys like Accelerator so he wouldn't need to worry about her. And she was the ever famous Railgun, the number three rank level five!
'Except he doesn't give a damn about that either! He just went and beat down the rank one for me the other day!' Mikoto groaned, clasping her head and letting out a few stray sparks. she'd been trying to convince herself that this nun girl wasn't a threat at all, but if she looked at it objectively, she constantly hounded the guy for fights, chased him on end for hours even when he didn't want to fight. And it wasn't like she could cook or do housework or anything girly like that either!
He'd been right on the money when he guessed the cookies she would make would be slightly burnt and misshapen. And she'd even only managed that with Saten's help too!
'I'm not girly at all!' the tea haired girl screamed mentally. She'd never cared about any of that crap before! She'd never even been interested in dating either! Didn't that make her just as useless a romantic partner as this apparent nun?
"Ah?" a familiar voice broke her from her thoughts. Mikoto looked up in time to meet the eyes of Doctor Gekota who was standing a few feet away with his hands in his coat pocket, "Here for the girls?"
A sigh left her throat, "Yeah." she nodded simply, dismissing her thoughts on what a failure of a girl she was and stood up. Those thoughts could wait till later. She could always just ask Konori-senpai for tips. She was a huge boobed older girl after all, she probably had guys hitting on her all the time.
..Then again, so did she, but most of them were just delinquent idiots that hit on any girl within sight like a bunch of horny mutts when she was out at night and bumming around bored. And that guy had actually been admonishing them for being so pathetic to hit on a middle school girl like her.
"Geh!" Mikoto bent over, it felt like an arrow pierced her chest. When she looked at it like that, and with how much of a failure of a girl she was...was he right all along?
Heaven Canceller looked at her weirdly, "..is it a genetic thing maybe?" he wondered aloud, "Original and copy alike are both oddballs it seems."
It took a few moments for Mikoto to get over her 'shocking realisation' and then the old frog faced doctor finally got the chance to lead her into the area of the hospital the sisters were being kept in and directed her towards his office.
She was here for a reason today, to find out more about her sisters.
"They're all doing well for the most part," Heaven Canceller stated as soon as they both took a seat, lifting a data pad out of his pocket and bringing up some files, "Even the one who was injured is making good progress….On the surface at least."
Mikoto swallowed heavily, worry filling her. "On the surface?" she asked hesitantly.
Heaven Canceller nodded, "Following my examination I learned a few things," he started. He held the data pad out to her, "They are clones as you know, created from your somatic cells."
Mikoto took the data pad. On it, she could see a picture of a girl who looked exactly like her. The name was listed as 10032, so she was the sister that idiot had met and saved from Accelerator. The data pad held her blood type, AB, her height, weight, measurements and other such things.
"But by being administrated various drugs while within the culture fluids, their bodies have grown rapidly," the kind doctor continued, "Such that from a fertilized egg, they reached their current forms, of equal physical age with you within a mere fourteen days."
Mikoto bit her lip and forced herself not to interrupt, even if she knew she didn't like where this explanation was going.
"As such, these somatic cell clones that would already have shorter life spans anyway, have had their life spans shortened even further." he finished releasing a weary sigh.
Mikoto couldn't contain the small gasp that escaped her mouth, "H-how long you you mean?" she asked, blinking away some of the stinging wetness that was beginning to gather in the corner of her eyes before it could even fully form.
Heaven Canceller cupped his chin, "I don't want to generalize," he replied, "But going by rough estimates, I'd say no longer than a year or two at most."
"..Noo.." Mikoto slumped back in her chair, a lump forming in her throat.
Before despair could grip her though, Heaven Canceller smiled gently, "Which is why they'll need to stay under care and be adjusted," he added, standing up. Mikoto looked up at him, just in time for him to touch a finger on top of the data pad screen and swiped to the right. It changed to a different page, this time showing a silhouette of her sisters body, and a bunch of graphs up top and such. She was in too much of a state to really put the information to use properly though, "By balancing the hormone that promotes growth and a few others and regulating the cell nuclei's rate of division, we should be able to regulate a certain degree of their life spans."
Relief filled Mikoto and she looked up at the frog faced doctor, only to frown when she noticed him palming his face. "..What?"
"..It's just as well," he groaned, "If we couldn't do this much, that Kamijou-chan was likely to get start kicking down the doors the higher ups from the project level six shift are hiding behind to try and find that treatment they created for Accelerator to extend his life span for two hundred and fifty years...he's already caused enough chaos by beating Accelerator, the last thing this city needs right now is that boy getting indignant on their behalf for this."
"..Eh?" Mikoto blinked at the way the conversation had turned. She was sure she just heard something really crazy right there! Here she'd been trying to forget about that idiot and focus on her sisters, only for this old guy to drop some crazy bomb on her, "..There's no way he'd do something like that...right?" she asked in disbelief.
When the old doctor just looked away and didn't meet her eyes, Mikoto groaned because she realised, that yes, that really probably would be in character for him. This was the guy that didn't give a crap and was determined to take on Accelerator for her even when she told him an entire army would be powerless against him. How he'd go about accomplishing such a thing she didn't know, but she had a feeling he'd try it.
Heaven Canceller coughed to change the subject, "We're currently dividing them all up and sending most of them outside the city to other research facilities, as things progress, we're hoping we can learn more between us all to help increase their life spans even further," he curled a hand into a fist and tapped it gently against his chest, "The fight for those girls will still go on, but from now on it will be a fight to live, rather than to die."
Mikoto released a deep sigh of relief and smiled lightly, closing her eyes, "I see." she muttered happily.
"..And well," Heaven Canceller began again and she blinked her eyes open again to look at him curiously when she heard the hesitance in his voice, "..They've become rather gung-ho about living due to Kamijou-chan."
"Eh?" Mikoto uttered in confusion.
"How pathetic Misaka taunts as she easily dodges Misaka's attack!"
"Don't think this is over Misaka declares as she calls upon her full power and shifts into ultra Misaka to give chase!"
"Ultra is so last week Misaka declares as she warp evolves straight to Super Ultra Misaka and ascends beyond you all. This Misaka will be the one to reach greater heights and stand above you all at the saviours side!"
'WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?' Mikoto gaped as she stood looked out into the courtyard in the private area of the hospital, Heaven Canceller by her side with his palm covering his face again. Outside, beyond the window they were behind, nine of her sister clones were all fighting, or rather..training, throwing electricity around, controlling metal to strike at each other and dodging nimbly around each others strikes. None had even landed a blow in the last five minutes Mikoto had been watching them.
The only one missing at this hospital was 10032, who was still recuperating from her injuries. And honestly, while their esper abilities weren't all that much to write home about in comparison to herself, their physical ability was quite beyond anything Mikoto herself could pull and it was rather impressive. She just didn't get why the hell they were bothering with it at all. And what it had to do with that spiky haired idiot!
"I shouldn't have told them, I really shouldn't have told them." the frog faced doctor groaned.
Mikoto turned to him with a glare, "Told them what!?" she demanded, electricity beginning to spark around bangs.
Heaven Canceller sighed, "..Why do you cause me so much trouble even after you've already checked out Kamijou-chan?" he lamented
I've got another Toaru story in the works. It's going to be taking place in New Testament and with Touma beginning to use a 'power' he's had for a while now. Not one related to the dragons or IT or anything. But a technical power he got a while back in one of the side stories/spin offs and just never bothered using. I was originally going to have him start using it during the Daihasei, but then when I thought it over I realised it was a bit too overpowered for early series.
..And well, honestly, because I re-read the the novels from start to finish again..I had to read NT20, and I loathe NT20, and I just wanted to find a way to spite it in some petty way, and this was the form that came to mind. I mean, I dislike Kamisato immensely, but reading NT20 makes reading all the damn novels about that actual generic harem protagonist powered prick really quite pleasant.
What the power is you may be asking? Well, I'll leave you with a hint. It's something Touma technically gained in Virtual-On and just never bothered following through on it. And it has to do with Imagine Breaker.
