I stood at the edge of a cliff, watching the dead forest surrounding Vale.

Then I looked at the black Sun.

Scientifically, there was no explanation. Well, that's not true, there were many, but they couldn't be proven.

That's the fun part about fanatics, they don't need actual proof, and when non-fanatics, see their 'proof', more and more people believe it to be true.

The theory provided by the White Fang, was widely accepted, but every group, faction, club, tribe, or whatever other name you could use for a collection of people, had their own theory.

My family called it, 'The Fall.' Our theory was that Remnant Fell from the good graces of the Gods.

It was more of a symbolic thing for my family, considering how much the Gods played in making us Warriors.

Whatever it was, that turned the Sun black, that dried the Seas, that changed our physical bodies, that started changing our very Souls, whatever it was, one thing was clear, life as we knew it, ended.

We're no longer on Remnant.

No. This is Hell.

A Hell that follows me everywhere.

In my Life.

In my Dreams.

In my Thoughts.

I had fully given up any and every dream of heroics after my family died, but then I saw it.

I dreamt of Remnant.

Free from all Curses.

I remembered the stories of my ancestor. The one who fought for a dream. Not one they had, but one given to them.

I had hope.

I have to get to work fast though, because after that Dream of Remnant, I had a Nightmare worse than Hell.

I closed my eyes, and activated my newly discovered Semblance.

{Prologue End.}

I tried to think of edgy things when I came up with the concept, then I thought of how they would all die, what could've been the absolute worse thing that could've happened, and then I tried to trace back the story from there. This is the kind of horror story, where the lighting gives off a bad feeling. Like, when someone goes into a room alone and turns on the lights, they flicker and buzz before staying on, then they give the room a clinical vibe. Also it's eerily silent, with the only sounds being the footsteps.
