On a blink of her eyes, she's back in her world, in the living room where she was sorting out the files.

Mai's phone gone off, and answered it immediately seeing the caller ID. "Yes, Ren?"

"Mai, can you please get Kannon and me some spare clothes? Ryuuji was admitted in the hospital, and we will stay here for a while." Hakuren stated. "And Kannon currently getting a patch up."

"Ryuuji overused his kotodama?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, I'll be there."

"Alright. We are in One Ashford Hospital in Willesborough."

"I'm on my way."

Mai closed her phone, she went to their rooms and picked few clothes to change, after she packed it in two bags, she wore her overcoat and put on her shoes. She called for a taxi and went to her destination.

"Yo!" Aizen greeted the people in the room. Ryuuji was still unconscious, the steady beep from the machine indicated that he's still alive. He gave the bag to Kannon, which the miko murmured a 'thanks' before going to the bathroom to change her robe.

"Did you retrieved it?" Hakuren asked the bespectacled man.

"Yup, and guess what, I caught Oliver planned on copying the footage." He handed the burned tape to him. Hakuren smirked.

"I gotta feeling that he will do something like that." He crushed the burned plastic tape to dust with his PK.

Kannon came out wearing a simple shirt and pants.

"Aaaand, I want you to hear this..." Aizen placed the recorder on the table. "I managed to record the SPR's conversation in the cafe few days ago."

Kannon's frowned when she heard them searching for Mai. "What's this? After all this time? And if Ren didn't tell him anything, they won't start searching for her?" She scoffed. "They are pathetic. They are the reason why she died. They leave her alone."

"Calm down, Kannon." Hakuren sighed.

"Oh Come on! Don't tell me you're going to allow them to come back to her life as if nothing happened!"

"But I'm sure, they will start looking for her now." Aizen stated. "What should we do?"

"We do nothing." Hakuren ordered sharply. "Let them investigate in their own means, but we won't say anything. If Mai wanted to be with them again, she should already reveal herself to them the first time she met them again."

"That's right..." Kannon mumbled.

"So... How was it? Working with SPR?"

Hakuren groaned. "They are so-so, his members are not trained enough - the miko, medium, the researchers. Ugh! He can do better if he trained them more.

Aizen chuckled. "Maybe he do it on purpose so he will look better to them? Like... they will rely on him more."

"Ha! I will immediately quit if that's the kind of leader I will have." Kannon exclaimed. "Oliver is wasted in a team like that. If he can't train the others, at least he should've train his medium."

He cocked his head to the side. "His medium is that girl... right? Hara Masako?"

Kannon rolled her eyes. "Yeah, the medium who only knows how to look pretty in front of him."

"She's nowhere near Gene's level." Hakuren mumbled. "Too bad... he left this world too soon."

A soft knock on the door interrupted their discussion, the door opened and Mai entered. "I got the spare clothes."

"Aww Mai~~~" Kannon enveloped her into her arms. "Are you alright?"

"I should be the one asking you that. I heard you got hurt?"

Kannon waved her hands. "I'm alright, just scratches."

"Zen! Since when you are here?" She greeted, seeing the man.

"I arrived two days ago, have few errands to attend before my wedding."

"Oh..." Mai glanced at the unconscious figure on the bed. "How is he?"

"He's fine, we are just waiting for him to wake up." Kannon answered.

"What happen to the case? Why did he used his kotodama to the point that he collapsed?"

"He got angry because the ghosts attacked Kannon."

"Oh... So… will you all stay here for a night?"

Hakuren and Kannon nodded, but Aizen shook his head. "Nope, not me. I have a meeting with someone from MI6."

They were chatting for a while, when the doctor came to check on Ryuuji. The doctor said he might wake up by tomorrow. Mai let them rest, especially Kannon before she left to buy dinner.

Mai checked the hospital's cafeteria but their food don't look appealing.

"I guess, I need to buy something from outside." She mumbled to herself. She's walking to the exit when she noticed a group of people going upstairs, her phone rang, it was Ground Zero's Cheif.

"Hello, sir?"

"Mai! Thank god my call went thru!" The person gasped on the other line. "I've been trying on contacting Ryuuji-san for a while now. I heard you are in England with him?"

"Yes, sir. Why?"

"Oh, I just wanted to ask if he finished his report that I assigned to him."

"I'm not yet sure sir, but Ryuuji got injured."

"What?!"

"He and Ren helped out a case, and he was hospitalized. But don't worry sir, I will ask him when he wakes up."

"Alright, thank you Mai."

She looked at the time and hurried outside.

Naru blinked at the girl who rushed outside when he was about to approach her.

"It's impossible for Mai to be here." Masako mumbled behind her kimono sleeve. "First of all, if it's her she should've looked for us now."

"Do you think Mai will show herself to us on her own will after we leave her alone for seven years?" Naru glared at her, Masako looked away from his gaze.

"That's true." Bou-san concurred. "No offense to her, but, she don't have that much money to go here and have a vacation."

"What if she found a rich boyfriend?" Ayako commented, Bou-san snorted beside her.

"Nah. It's not Mai, big boss. I mean that girl has the same height as her as we left Japan, it's impossible for her not to grow up." Yasuhara shrugged.

Masako noticed Naru still staring at the corner where the girl he thought as Mai disappeared to. She tugged his arm. "Come on Naru, we are not here to chase this stranger, we have an important business here."

Naru yanked his arm away and lead the way upstairs, and the others follow.

"Ugh! Of all the times their elevator broke!" Ayako grumbled.

"If it's your fault for wearing heels."

The miko thwacked her husband on the head.

Kannon was reading a magazine, Hakuren and Aizen was on their laptops, typing quickly to finish their reports. The two men have reports to finish and pass. Then they heard a knock on the door.

The three was startled when they saw the whole SPR team enter. Hakuren narrowed his eyes at Naru. "What are you and your team doing here?"

"We are here to visit Suzui-san."

"He's still unconscious but he is fine."

"If that's all, then you can leave." Kannon gestured the door.

"Oi, oi, no need to be harsh, we have business with your leader." Bou-san reason out.

"Yomozuki-san, my father wanted to pay the hospital bill for Suzui-san."

Hakuren stared at him for a moment. "Alright."

"And he wanted to schedule a meeting with you."

"No, no, no." The leader waved his hand in refusal. "I no longer have time to idle here in England, I needed to go back to the states tomorrow, there's a case that ASPR wanted me to take."

"Alright, I will tell him."

"Why are you interested in me to work for your company, anyway? I mean, you rejected my application few years ago in the first place."

"What?! Seriously?!" Madoka gasped. "There's no way the company will miss such talented person like you."

Hakuren shrugged. "I guess it's because I didn't graduate in Cambridge."

"Ren." Aizen called sharply, and he glared at him. Mai... will be back soon.

Getting his message, Hakuren patted Naru's shoulder. "I apologized, but no matter what your father plan to do, I will never transfer. I will stay in the states. Now, if you don't have anything else to say, you may leave."

"There is something bother me, but did you know from the very start that it was the maid who haunt the house?" Naru asked, narrowing his eyes at him.

"Yes."

"What?! You deliberately put us in danger?" Ayako exclaimed.

Hakuren gave her a look. "Me? If your medium assessed it right, or your researchers gathered much accurate data, then you should've known it. And besides, I am your overseer, my job is to observe you." Ayako shut her mouth up, the medium and researchers in question evade his eyes. "Why do you think I asked Ryuuji and Kannon to come and help us in the first place? So we can immediately end the case, since I observed that you are having a hard time solving it."

"Right..." Naru murmured. "I apologized in behalf of my team."

Hakuren sighed and dismiss them. "I told you, its fine. You can go now."

The others didn't say a word and followed their young boss leaving the room. They feel that they are not quite welcome in the room.

"Baphomet! It's rare for you to come in someone else's dungeon!" Gusion exclaimed, welcoming him. He is a demon that rules over forty legions of demons. He knew the past and shows the meaning of all questions that are asked to him. The Demon King sought him out for advice.

"I have something to ask."

The raven-haired and crimson-eyed demon smirked. "Of course, what else could it be?"

"Is there... a way to bring back someone to life?"

"A human?" Baphomet nodded. "As a what?"

Baphomet stared at him. "What do you mean?"

"Bringing back someone to life has two ways, either this human will wake up as a demon or remained as human."

"What's the difference between the two?"

"If you want this human to be a demon and become part of your legion, you just need to perform the resurrection ritual after the limit time, removing all her memories as a human, then gave back her soul." He explained.

"And the other?"

Gusion stared at him for a while, before he narrowed his eyes. "You need to ask the heaven for that." He stated sharply. "If you want to bring this person back to life as a human, you need to ask the power from Devas. But, they will ask for something in return."

Gusion sighed seeing his inner conflict. "Baphomet, I heard rumours that you become fascinated with one of the people that has your bidding."

Baphomet looked away.

"If you want her, then make her a demon." Gusion suggested. "You know that death awaits for those who will betray the King."

Make Mai... a demon? Baphomet thought carefully. But erasing her memories as a human...? Baphomet shook his head, he couldn't do that. Mai is Mai because she's a human. But to go to Devas and ask for help?

"Baphomet." Gusion's voice snapped him from his thoughts. "If you want to talk to someone who once went to heaven to seek for their help, then I advise you to go to Duzakh, there's a demon imprisoned there for more than three thousand years."

"I thought death awaits for those who betray the King?"

"Because the payment that the heaven asked for him didn't affect Infernus. King Asmoday sentenced him to eternal imprisonment." He informed him. "But, it's different now."

Baphomet stood up. "Gratias ago tibi valde Gusion, I will head to Duzakh now."

"Baphomet." the demon halted to glance behind him.

"Don't forget that you are one of the demons that King Asmoday trusted." Gusion reminded him coolly.

"I know."

With that, Baphomet disappeared from his dungeon. Gusion smirked, amused from what Baphomet was planning.

"Let's wait and see~~"

[Gratias ago tibi valde – Thank you very much]
