Lilo and Stitch One-shot

Stitch looked at the ground in sorrow. Even after all this time, he still hadn't recovered from Angel's capture. In fact everyday, he seemed to get worse. Right now, he was in a closet that no one really used. The lights were off, and he was wrapped in a blanket staring at the wall, lost in thought.

That night was awful. It had started out bad, as he had been caught in a trap planned by Gantu and Angel, but had turned out good. With Angel saving him by singing her song backwards and his cousins back to normal, it looked like nothing could go wrong. But of course, Gantu had to ruin it by capturing his buchi boo in a glass capsule, while he was helplessly watching in horror.

Guilt overwhelmed him. If he had just done something other than sit around and watch, he could have been there with her. Her. His angel.

Angel. The name that used to make his heart leap, now made his chest hurt. His head was overcome with memories of them together. The girl that reached his heart. He had thought that love was icky before he met her. She had shown him that love can mean a deal more, even if she was on a mission to seduce him.

Lilo had countlessly tried to comfort him, saying that as soon as they had a chance, they'd go and save Angel. But, Stitch still acted like zombie. Getting up, eating, walking with Lilo, going to sleep.

Even though he got lots of it, Stitch seemed to always be tired. He always had nightmares with Angel in them. He dreamt that she was blaming him for her capture, and that she regretted ever becoming his boochi boo. Even though Stitch knew it was just a dream, and that the real Angel wouldn't say that, he couldn't help but feel guilty. One time in the shower, he had tried to drown himself, but Lilo had pulled him out in time. They had a long talk about that, but it still didn't affect Stitch, so Lilo had reverted to monitoring Stitch very closely.

"Stitch!" A voice called out to him, startling him from his thoughts. Lilo walked into the room with her arm crossed and turned on the lights. Stitch blinked and closed his eyes to block out the sudden light that filled the room.

He hadn't even realized how dark it was in the closet. "Stitch! You can't just keep brooding like this! It isn't helping Angel."

Those words brang him out of his trance. His eyes watered. Lilo's eyes softened, as she put her arms around him. She slowly whispered in his ear, "It's okay, don't worry, hey! Why don't we get something to eat and go to the beach to make a plan? Hmm. It'll be better than mopping around in a closet all day.

Stitch perked up at that. "Save Angel?" He said, his voice hoarse.

"Yes Stitch." Lilo replied with a smile on her face.

Stitch dragged Lilo out of the closet, not caring about the light anymore. He just wanted to get his precious boochi boo back, and start on their relationship again. He then stopped. Would Angel want him back? What if she was mad at him, because he didn't save her sooner. What if she didn't want to be buchiboos anymore?

Lilo noticed this and was quick to reassure him. "Don't worry, she'll understand." Stitch nodded, although still doubtful. He banished those thoughts to the back of his mind, and his confidence returning, he pulled Lilo to the kitchen to pack food while he got their beach stuff.

He quickly collected what they needed. This plan couldn't go wrong. It just couldn't. He looked up with a determined gaze. He would get Angel back, no matter the cost.
