Crona's Sea Bear Adventure
A six year old Crona was sitting inside his sand circle, which is where he would often think about how miserable he was. Ragnarok was taking a nap, so he had plenty of time to think. However, there was more to this circle than meets the eye.
"Crona, what are you doing inside that circle?" Crona's mother Medusa asked, walking up to the circle.
"I'm sitting in my Anti-Sea Bear circle," Crona stated, as if there was nothing out of the ordinary. Medusa looked at her son with raised eyebrows.
"A what?"
"An Anti-Sea Bear Circle. It's supposed to protect you from these vicious creatures called Sea Bears," Crona explained, pointing all around the sand circle. Medusa looked unimpressed and pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Crona, that is absolutely ridiculous. Where did you hear this from?" Medusa asked, trying to keep her temper in check. Crona pointed to the area behind him.
"A yellow sponge and a pink starfish told me about them, and were nice enough to tell me how to protect myself from them when they attack," Crona further explained. Medusa looked at her only child with wide eyes and sweat dripping down her face.
"Crona, I think we've been experimenting too much with the black blood. Maybe you should come inside and relax for a little while," Medusa said in a mumble, trying to disguise the fear she was having over her son saying these crazy things. Before she could take her son out of the circle, she heard some heavy breathing coming down her neck. When she turned around, she saw the head of a bear. She was about to hit it with one of her Vector Arrows, but then she saw the bear had the body of a fish, complete with fins and gills of different bright colors.
The revelation of a sea bear actually being real made her temporarily freeze, which allowed the bear plenty of time to maul her. The mauling went on for five minutes, with Crona covering his eyes and shaking as the sea bear kept scratching his mother with its claws and biting her with its teeth. Finally, Medusa got enough of a respite to shoot a few Vector Arrows at the bear, cutting it and scaring it enough to leave.
"Mom, do you want to come in my Anti-Sea Bear circle?" Crona asked, after seeing his mother covering in blood, cuts and bruises. Medusa looked at Crona for a few seconds before pulling herself with her hands and dragging herself into the sea circle. Crona picks up his stick to draw in the place where Medusa inadvertently erased it.
"Thank you Crona," Medusa muttered, before her head dropped on the ground like a sack of potatoes before feeling something soft and small on her back. When she picked it up, it was a light blue pair of underwear. "Crona, what is this?"
"Those are a pair of Anti-Sea Rhinoceros underwear. The sponge and the starfish gave those to me too. They were so nice, you should meet them sometime," Crona explained, leaving Medusa in a stunned shock.
"I hate this place," Medusa mumbled before drifting into unconsciousness.
