I always found humans to be funny. They will stab each other for their own benefits when they have the chance, yet they can help each other and care for others and to a level I could not comprehend. The prime example for these contradictory behaviour is, quite funnily enough, can be found in two person I know very well. The two chosen ones; Yamato Hotsuin and Kuze Hibiki

Yamato is the most perfect example of the first aforementioned behaviour. Ever since he was chosen, his mind was set to only and only his own ambition. A world of meritocracy. A world led by capability.

I was happy to hear his ambition when he told me back then. To see someone rule the world by ability, instead of bloodlines, will surely be something interesting for me. However, his mean for his ambition is rather brutal as of late. Very recently, he ordered layers of human wall to fight one of my brothers. It was futile, of course, for the wall is only consists of beginner tamers.

While I don't really blame him due to his past, he could have done it in other ways. One that does not requires some sort of human sacrificial. It was a horrid sight, even for me.

Hibiki on the other hand was like the other side of the coin, so they say. Hibiki will throw himself into the chaos to save as many people he could, even if they are strangers to him. He will do whatever it takes, as long as it is within his moral compass, to make sure they are safe.

His kindness is not just limited to just that. I always see him interact with quite a considerable number of people he met. He will always interact with them as if they are someone important to him, even though that's not exactly true. As of late, he form a very strong bond with some of them, particularly with Nitta and Sako. Even I, a Septentrione, am not immune to him, and we always found ourselves talk like we are brothers in arms.

It is very funny indeed, now that I look back on it.

It truly is such an interesting time.

Two Shining Ones with their own vision of how the world should be. One will do anything, no matter how cruel it is, to achieve his. While the other, who I still see as a blank sheet, will not let anyone die and longs for a peaceful world. But, with all that said, I must not stray from who I truly am, and also my own vision of this world. Only time can tell who will emerge victorious, and who will fall into the void.

Until the choices are made, I will wait and do my supposed role, if I must.

A/ N: Hey, guys. I finally wrote something again! Sadly I've been busy with my life, with uni and all that fun stuff, but at least I still can manage it for now. I wrote this mainly out of boredom, but I also just want to write something different for Alcor, compared to the other fics. I hope you like this. Reviews and constructive feedback is welcome and appreciated.
